Ok lol this place is so underated. It's in a mall I know. It's inside Barton Creek Mall lol BUT I think I've been going here for 2 decades or more ha and never gotten the chance to review it. Because who reviews fast food? I do! Ha and guess what? The pickiest foodie friend I have love loves this place so that amounts to something. And I like it a ton too. It used to be cheaper way cheaper like almost $5 for the chicken teriyaki lol but now it's almost $9 and add $2 for more meat. I always get the basic popular chicken teriyaki just because it's good and hot and fresh . They give you a large amount. But if you add more chicken you get so much more. Idk how they get the chicken so tender lol but I stick to chicken. The steak and shrimp and noodles look good but if you know me I never venture out of something if it's good. So chicken teriyaki it is! I ate here the other day and got 2 to go and it was hot and fresh! But be wary the line gets long. It's definitely the busiest in the whole food court. Even more than Chick-fil-A but it's worth the wait. It moves fast. And they are made to order so it's fresh and hot. They used to do a punch card and I get a lot of freebies but post covid I don't see that deal anymore. And the price is upped but it still is worth lol if you are ever at the mall hop in line and give it a try!

So tbh I'm not much of a fast food person but i grew up eating this food (my mom really likes this place) and aside from the food being kinda oily, it's honestly pretty good! They're famous for the chicken teriyaki, and they make pretty good fried rice. Whenever I'm at the mall and hungry, if I'm not going to Cheesecake Factory, I'm going here. The ambiance is a mall food court - nothing special. But you can get some containers of food to go and eat at home, which is what we usually do (like $10 each for a container of food). The service is pretty standard for a fast food joint (it's just fine).

I love it the food was fresh and amazing I definitely be coming back here to eat I came from round rock just try it and I was surprised how amazing the food taste

I don't find myself eating at chain restaurants much, but recently I was in a pinch to grab a bite before watching a movie and wanted to try something new at the food court that wasn't Chick-fil-A, so I went with Sarku Japan. The Teriyaki Chicken is their best seller and they also sell it in a double meat portion for $10.28 which was very filling, I didn't even get to finish my rice. It tasted good and it did its job in being quick, filling, and satisfying. You can also get a regular portion for $8.29 if you'd like. Although I wouldn't go out of my way to come here, it's a good spot to check out if you are also at the mall and find yourself to be pretty hungry. With that said, I'll give them a 3.75/5 for having good and great qualities.

Soooo much food and so yummy. My go to DoorDash lunch order is the chicken and shrimp with extra beef. Have never actually managed to finish it in one meal

The best Teriyaki in Austin Texas. I have been eating at Sarku for decades & have never had a bad experience...love the extra portion for $1. My wife used to love it also. Good egg rolls & they have sriracha sauce if you like it spicy. The combo meal is the best value - I highly recommend this place to anyone who loves Chicken Teriyaki ( they also have beef & shrimp)

Love this teriyaki chicken where I order with fried rice. I never get extra meat where it is so much food it will fill you up for the rest of the day. Make sure to get a reward card where get a stamp after every purchase and eventually get a free meal. They also prefer credit cards which makes the line go faster. This day was Sunday and Chick-Fil-A was closed making this place even more popular with long lines all day. The line moved and my order was confused with other person but quickly resolved. They are not eco friendly so food is in styrofoam containers and watch out for the weight of the food can break it in half. Use two hands or be like the lady behind me who used one and here container broke in half spilling half of her food onto the ground.

You fill in your order with a dry erase marker and the server puts it in for you. Service is super easy and friendly! Overall it was a good experience but nothing special and I likely wouldn't revisit unless I was in the area. QUICK FACTS: - Parking? Yes, there is a decent-sized lot shared amongst the businesses in the strip. During peak hours it can be tricky to snag a spot, though. - Reservations? No, not needed. FOOD RATINGS: - Nigiri (3/5): The pro is the nigiri has giant, generous portions of fish. Easily 2 bites. The con is it's pretty average and nothing really stood out as far as the toppings and flavor add-ons. The rice was said to have a hint of matcha in it but I didn't taste any of that. - Hand rolls (3.5/5): Pretty decent hand rolls made freshly in front of you. The only one we were disappointed in was the scallop one. Because it was cooked, minced scallop it really just tasted like canned tuna. Not worth $8.

Loro is an Asian smokehouse and bar featuring grilled and smoked meats with Southeast Asian and Japanese-inspired sauces, sides, and a bar that boasts craft beer, boozy slushees, and batch cocktails. Parking at this location is a bit of a challenge. They have overflow parking in the back but the spots are really small. We sat at the bar area and worked our way through cocktails, apps, and dessert. We opened a tab and the bar staff takes your order which is convenient, versus how you normally have to order by waiting in line at the bar. The bar staff was extremely busy because they have to make all the cocktails and take the line orders at the bar. They are a master of multitasking. It was $3 martini night on Tuesday, so was excited to sample the four different drink options. lychee martini, Mexican martini, and Lucky Cat cosmo martini. Lychee martini is made with new amsterdam vodka, sake, elderflower, Mexican martini with espolon blanco, olive, yuzu, lime and cosmo with vodka, blood orange, naranja, lime. The lychee was hands down my favorite of the three. We started with the Dip Sampler that included a trifecta of smoked shishito queso, smoked salmon dip and Thai green salsa with the Siete blue corn tortilla chips. We went through the chips quickly and got a second round of wonton chips which I preferred to the Siete chips. Tried the Mango Chamoy frozen Slushee with Siete Chamoy Botana Sauce & Siete Chile Lime Seasoning Rim, passionfruit, Aperol, Sake and Sparkling Wine which was refreshing. All their boozy slushies are $5 during happy hour. Ordered the oak grilled edamame from the happy hour menu and it was a flavor explosion with a dusting of serracha powder, lemon zest and white sesame. For dinner, I ordered my go-to rice bowl with coconut-scented rice, seasonal pickles, thai herbs and steak as the protein. They normally served this with Bavette, but the steak was a bit tough and chewy this time. Finished everything off with cheesecake with five spice crumble, yuzu marmalade for dessert. The vibe at the bar was relaxed and lively without feeling overwhelming, and the collab menu felt creative without trying too hard. The ingredients are very thoughtful for a fully developed flavor profile. Just what I would expect from the culinary minds of Tyson Cole and Aaron Franklin. Definitely one of the regulars in my list when craving good cocktails with a casual but elevated food menu.

The gravel parking lot usually has space available and there are a few benches with umbrella stands if you'd like to eat there. The selection of fish is pretty good and I ordered a toro and unagi. Food came out about 15 minutes after ordering. The presentation was solid - they came out in these cute wooden trays and stands for each hand roll. The first thing that stood out to me was how small the rolls were. After tax and tip (yes I know this is optional; I'm still torn on tipping for food trucks but the guilt is strong and I now love places that don't add a tip option) it was nearly $10 a roll and they were probably 3 - 4 small bites each. The unagi and toro itself were good, but I couldn't believe how I felt no more satiated than before I ate them but was $20 poorer. I think what I struggle with was (1) prior reviews and pictures did seem well portioned, so there may be inconsistencies in prep, and (2) if I'm going to pay fine sit down sushi prices ($60 - $100 to get full), I might as well goto a nice sushi place. Ultimately I think the product is good, but the value and niche they're filling as a sushi food truck doesn't quite make sense to me. It could just be a me thing but at least come in with the possibility of disappointment if you're expecting to get any level of satiation spending $20 or less.
