This has been a go to spot for my family, friends, and most of my significant others including my current one whenever we are hungry and at Tacoma Mall. I miss when they had punch cards but not they only have it when they have it on their app but it only applies if you do an online order. The food here has consistently good the food has been. There are times where the rice might be a bit too mushy or undercooked but other than that, the meats are always good great and the steamed vegetables are delicious and made to perfection. The service here is decent, the cashier is usually friendly and professional and the cooks are good about announcing order numbers and making sure orders go to the right people. The food also doesn't take too long either which is great as they always have a line here. The station can be clean for the most part but sometimes it does get messy due to customers. I also appreciate that they have sriracha packets rather than the bottle cause I felt grossed out cause some people just don't know how to use it. read more

Waited an hour for my food to be done in store while they gave everyone else who came in and ordered AFTER ME their food while I waited and went up to them twice about my order. Also did not speak very good english so hard to communicate. My food was bland. No seasoning of any type. I ordered teriyaki chicken and shrimp with rice and veg. The veggies were barely warm dumped on rice with grilled just barely chicken and cold to touch shrimp there was zero teriyaki flavor at all to this dish. The dumplings went in the trash. I've been here many many times before from when they first opened. Never have I had any issues years before Covid. Before Covid, their plates were much bigger. Portions were fare. Seasonings we're amazing. Everything was fresh. It's been a couple of years since I've been back, but it seems their business went downhill and are now money hungry cheating people with their plate size, portions, & prices. They stuff the plate with more than 2 scoops of rice. 1 less cup of veggies & just 3-4 pieces of shrimps & the rest were chicken. Idk abt any of you, but I'd like to even out my meat portion with rice. Well, they like to give you more rice than you need. Veggies are not fresh as they advertise! All that's amazing to me now is the Sauce! Whatever that secret sauce is.. that's the only reason why people keep coming back. Favorite favorite teriyaki in the whole wide world, this brand is surprisingly only found in mall's food court! I've tried that whole mom and pops teriyaki that's suppose to be legit, nope doesn't even compare. The only thing that other teriyaki joints has over these guys is the salad with house made dressing. I've been eating here ever since I was a little girl, I usually find food court in malls to be mediocre food, but this is the one place I'll eat at! They usually have someone out front handing out samples, it's soooo addicting once you get a bite of it. Like crack cocaine, literally you have to turn around to buy yourself an entree to get more of it. As you're standing in line, they are cooking it right in front of you. Ignore what it looks like before it's cooked and ask for extra teriyaki sauce. You can get double meat for like a dollar more, that's enough food to feed 2 mouths. It's a shame. My girlfriend works in the mall and use to eat here once a week until recently, on a Sunday evening she came to order food at 6:50 and the cashier took the customers order in front of her and then told her they were closed. She mentioned it wasn't even 7 yet and that it was 6:50 and the cashier didn't care at all. The mall is open to 7pm on sundays which means all the shops and restaurants are open till 7pm. I took my order home to eat so Ididn't know until I got home and couldn't eat my food because it's burnt and nasty. I ate at this location on Friday in the afternoon. It turned out to be the biggest mistake I made all week. I should have known better since it was after the busy lunch rush and who knows how long that chicken was piled up on the side of the grill before I got there. This was the last thing I ate on Friday. When I got home I started feeling very ill. By nightfall I was running a fever and ached all over. Several trips to the bathroom were required. My stomach was in so much pain all day yesterday and into this morning. The last time I ate here I had a similar result but decided to give it another try since it had been over a year. The cook messed up the order. mind you there are only 5 people in line and once we went to order the foos, another chaser (a Korean women) jumped out and acted like we didn't pay for our order, as some guy behind us literally popped up and, wasn't in a line of 5 people and he gave the first tray to some random person and had a whole attitude when he tried to accuse me of not paying then gave him my receipt and was mad he was wrong. I stop here every time I'm heading down to Oregon, and it's delicious every time. The chicken teriyaki is tender and flavorful (their sauce is Yummy!). I order with mushrooms and add some Sriracha sauce (provided there) afterward to "Napalm the jungle" as they say. The portions are generous; I don't feel the need to double the meat although they push pretty hard for it. Grab a coupon from the sample-handler that will get you a 2nd order for only $3.99. If you're alone, work out a deal with the person in line behind you. :) Yes it's food court food, but I like t and have no complaints. I went there yesterday about 10:30 am and got the chicken teriyaki. First I tasted the rice and it was cold so I went back and asked for hot rice they gave me a container that was about a third the size of the first container and heated up some rice on the grill. So now I had warmed up dried out rice mixed with little black grill bits mixed in. I scraped my chicken out of the first container with the cold rice still stuck to it on top of the warmed up rice. I went back and then tried the chicken which ended up being crunchy and dried out. I just took it back and got a refund. No apology or anything. read more

I always get the same thing here, they make the best chicken teryaki. Most of the teryaki places in town use full chicken breasts/parts then cut them down into strips, then they toss some sauce on top. This place is better because they use raw cut up chicken which is marinated and then throw it on the grill when you order it. Makes for a more tender, fresher meat. Plus their teriyaki sauce is a "cooked" sauce which isn't as sugary sweet as many other places. Whenever you go,there is a huge line in front of the place, while the other places are ghost town empty. Plus the basic plate is under $6 and double meat for only about a buck. I have always had an amazing experience when going here in the past but this most recent visit was less then satisfying. I brought my significant other here for his first time I hyped up the food because every time before I had a phenomenal experience. The issue I had with my visit was the woman at the register seemed disinterested in helping me and inconvenienced even though I was the only customer in line. I asked her to please put extra sauce on both my lunch trays and she said okay I watched the cook prepare my food from a table and bag it with no extra sauce. I know this may seems a bit dramatic to be so upset over but the extra sauce really ties the WHOLE dish together! It Coats the veggies and rice/noodles and is heavenly. On top of that when I asked the cook who handed me my food to make sure there was soy and plum sauce in the bag the cashier interjected rudely saying that everything was in the bag. The nice cook gave me more anyways which I appreciate. This is my go to place for lunch. The cashier is so friendly. Definitely deserves tips. The meat is fresh and cooked right in front of you. Very tasty chicken is very tender cooked just right. read more
