    Vegetarian & beef lemongrass patty
    Tiffany B.

Tip-- if you can call in to place order for pick up, that's ideal vs going there then ordering, which can take a while. Literally a mom and pop type of place. My favorite is their Banh mi bo nuong xa (bbq lemongrass beef patty) flavorful and goes well with the pickled veggies. I appreciate the fact they don't put pickled veggies inside your Banh Mi. Packaged individually, so your sandwich does not get soggy. Today I ordered 1 vegetarian and 3 beef. Delicious! If you're really hungry, you can easily eat two! It's my top two favorite Vietnamese sandwich places!

UPDATE -1 Star for no sense of urgency. 30 minutes to make two sandwiches... stopped in the middle of the process every time a customer walked in to serve them first.

Really solid sandwich shop here. Really nice crunch to their baguette! Solid4/5 for the grilled meat and egg sandwich !

I like the beef lemon grass (bo nuong xa) and cheesesteak (bo xao). Make sure you come early because they run out of baguette around 2 or 3pm.

I really enjoyed the cheesesteak and the dac biet sandwiches! I couldn't decide which one I wanted so obviously I had to buy both. There was only one man working so it took a little while for him to make my sandwiches. I think half the time was spent wrapping them up though. The sandwiches are really long so they're cut into halves, and then the halves are individually wrapped/taped, then each sandwich is put into its own paper bag which was stapled, and then the paper bags were put into a larger plastic bag which was knotted. No joke. Or I don't know, maybe it was a joke... I think what sets this place apart is the pate and butter, so creamy and good. Next time I will definitely order extra pate!

Has burnt marks on the other side and extremely hard. Threw away all the fell out pickles and jalapenos.

At first I was amused by the idea of 1 long baguette. Usually you only get the length with plain baguette, not with stuffing. My impressions with their stuff baguettes are, "Did they re-toast the baguettes they didn't sell yesterday? Why are there black burnt marks and the baguette are so hard?" Their baguette are crunchy but so damn hard. I always try to eat flip the baguette over and eat the side w/o burnt mark to avoid having the thing scratch the roof of my mouth. On 10/22/2016, I came in at 9:20 AM while the store clerk was eating his breakfast. I ordered 1 long special baguette. He went straight into making it (without washing his hands). Uh...ok... Brought the thing to work at 9:40 AM, cut it into 4, finished devouring 1/4 of it at 10 AM. ~1 hour later, I got diarrhea. I thought I had a weak stomach... My other co-worker ate another 1/4. ~1 hour later she had stomachaches. So 2/4 people had to run for the restroom that day...

With cream cheese spread! Very refreshing!! Perfect for a hot day! Tasty too! My sandwich was a steak, steak sauce a Either onion rings on crunch roll. Awesome. Super fresh. Tastes all went together perfectly. Both sandwiches were so big we could only eat 1/2 at a time. An easy tip. Wrap the remainder in foil and the bread stays soft. Can't wait to eat the rest. I came to try Ike's because I let one of their workers go ahead of me in line at the market. He described a few of the sandwiches and I was intrigued. Nice job! We may stay with Grub Hub but the sandwiches we got are worth it and looking at the menu, they have many veggie and gluten free options. Next time I'm getting a cookie!

It's a pulled chicken sandwich that is absolutely delicious--honestly, it's the most unique "actual" sandwich you can get in the area. The Perfect Order: * The Build: You have to get it on Dutch Crunch bread with no tomato. * The Flavor: The Dutch Crunch is amazing, especially with the honey on it. The sandwich itself is almost like a chicken sloppy joe--it's bomb. * The Perks: I love that they still include those little caramel apple suckers with the order. It's a signature touch that I hope they never stop doing. * Rewards: Their point system is very favorable. I frequently get free drinks, chips, or discounts on my sandwiches. The Critiques: * Ingredients: Like a few other spots, this one makes me feel a bit "off" afterward. Since the meat is tossed in sauce and they add more to the bread, I suspect there might be some MSG involved. * Pricing: Things are getting expensive across the board, and I feel like most places--this one included--are overcharging by about $3. Five stars would only be achievable if the pricing was more reasonable. Final Thoughts: Despite the price and the "food coma" afterward, the #111 is too good to pass up. It's a solid four-star experience every time.

I know Cheez Whiz is not for everyone, since it has a very unique flavor and texture compared with something like American or provolone. Thankfully, Philly's Best provides that option when you want a Philly cheesesteak, and you can even mix and match multiple cheeses. One thing I like to do is mix provolone with Cheez Whiz for a unique, more Philly-style taste. Otherwise, I think the cheesesteak is fine in terms of the meat, bread, and cheese combination, but I do not think it tastes as good or as fresh as Jersey Mike's or several other local places that offer hot Philly cheesesteak sandwiches. That said, I like going to Philly's Best when I am specifically looking for that Cheez Whiz taste, and that is honestly the main reason I would recommend going here.

It was a late lunch so I called to see if a reservation is needed for 2 ppl. Not at all so we jumped into the car. Such a wonderful restaurant in an unassuming plaza. Lots of parking. There's an outdoor seating area and a good size restaurant inside. We were greeted as we walked in. Btw, the HUGE glass door entrance, I love. There Were a few open tables and we were welcome to sit where we wanted to. Two classes of water were brought to the table and a waiter came with the menu. My mom is vegetarian and I am not. I asked the waiter for his vegetarian dishes and he provided me a pasta dish. That was exactly what my Mom was wanting. Linguine with a light pink sauce with mushrooms and you can add zucchini, bell pepper and broccoli. I ordered a sangria. That was just amazing itself. And a linguine dish with shrimp. Warm, sliced French bread and a small dish of butter was brought out first that was so good. Usually the bread and butter that is brought at small restaurants like these could be just mediocre or not good at all. This was warm and just tasty. We also ordered a Caprese. The plate came out with big chunks of mozzarella tomatoes, and both were sitting on a marinated pesto covered set of basil leaves. That was so good. The combination of the vinaigrette, mozzarella basil tomato pesto was exactly what we were looking for so refreshing. Our entrées were huge for $20 a plate. We had to take 3/4 of it home. That was so not expected. Pasta and the pasta sauce were amazing. Very freshly made. Dishes were made to order only and not sitting around. I asked if they were doing something special for birthdays and I pointed to my mom next to you know, the waiter came out with fresh homemade Tim. They also sing to my mom wish she was so sweet. Service was good and there's a decent amount of seating inside with cute little marine themed decor. Lobster roll combo with the soup ($32) - I got the Maine style (cold) lobster roll which had really good flavor and the amount of lobster was really nice. I wish they pushed the lobster down into the roll a little more instead of stacking it on top to make it look fuller because it made it a lot harder to eat. The side salad was okay. I liked the clam chowder a lot. Fries and tater tots were perfectly crispy! Flaming hot lobster fries ($25): This feels a bit overpriced for what it is and kind of lackluster. Fries were good and crispy but the cheese wasn't melted well. Lobster is thrown on there and I think it would be better with cheeto dust versus the random cheetos thrown on top.
