I do enjoy the produce department. They usually have a good variety and always appear fresh which is important. My favorite part is the clearance of meats. Cant go wrong there. Only thing they promote to use but i ALWAYS have issues it the phone App. Half the time is down and or cannot connect in the store. The tellers could be a bit more friendly for sure. Came in to Save Mart and bought some romaine lettuce hearts for a Caesar Salad I was making for a dinner party. Got them home and opened the bag and they were brown inside. this save mart is a grocery store that seems to have good deals on some canned goods... anything 'fresh,' from pasta to fruit are in fair to poor condition... one exception: they have good cheese, except when they dont... i rarely find the same grocery twice... i like stagg chili, which i bought from save mart... next two trips, save mart have no chili... i feel as if they buy end lots that are rarely available twice... store employees have said all inventory is 'hit n miss...' save mart buys end lots, dented cans & damaged packaging... getting the same dented can twice in a row is not always possible... of course we are all appalled at save marts senseless paper advertising that leaves save mart's litter strewn across our block & their store... a month or two ago, i saw junior high students actually picking up the save mart advertising that was blowing in the winds... the store becomes littered with the same ads... i saw many of the save mart circulars on floors & shelves of the store... employees are nice but they cant do much in terms of ordering future food inventories... this store is a **lil cleaner than most save marts.... buuuuut i wouldnt brag about being: less dirty & grungy... especially avoid the restrooms... dirty, dingy & dark... i hope all save marts can eventually straighten out their operations cuz the deals can be good... this store hasnt yet reached the point of clean restrooms... keep trying save mart... i am pulling for you... please start with clean restrooms... this save mart location has the space for an ok restroom... Save Mart in general is sort of a confusing combination between an affordable, every-man's grocery store, like a Safeway, and something far more upscale. That's because everything about the place makes you think it's a good spot for bargain hunting and when you step inside it's common goods at Whole Foods prices. I usually come in for essentials that I can't find at either Costco or Trader Joe's, my usual shopping spots. Things like brand name taco shells and peanut butter. On this visit I was just seeking some dinner. The deli offerings were less than stellar by day's end and an employee who could help me out was hard to come by. I wandered produce, but this was one of the smaller produce selections I've seen. I ended up grabbing a lunchables as I was late for an event. Shopping here won't cause any irreparable damage, but I suggest the Bel Air down the street. read more

Save Mart Ruined my family's Thanksgiving..When buying their fully cooked Thanksgiving dinner, I had asked Alot of questions because not only because my oven wasn't working right but also I was having guest. The deli made it clear it would take 20 mins to warm up. And the oven issue wouldn't be a problem. Not only was the Turkey frozen SOILED but I cancelled dinner. Rebecca at their store told me to bring in the bloody bird and get a full refund. Which I did. Today I shopped at the Save Mart on Foothills Blvd. in Roseville. I was charged $14.99 for an item that was listed as $9.99. Things happen I understand. I informed them that I was over charged. I stood aside while the box person went to check the price. The box person came back and said it was $14.99. I said I would go and look as I might have been mistaken. I found the price was listed as $9.99. I took a photo of it and brought it back to the checker. She seemed a little annoyed and said no that's if you buy four. I pointed out it was $9.00 a bottle if I bought four but this bottle was on sale for $9.99. She disagreed and try to brush it off. I went to another checker and asked what the price should be and I was told $9.99. The original checker, still a little annoyed, pointed me to a another person and said they would take care of it for me because she was busy. I said no, I will wait because I don't want to try and explain all of this again. Eventually I was given a refund but the attitude really has me questioning if I was shop here again in the future. If I had received even the slightest apology I wouldn't be writing this post. I have shopped here for years but have never found the employees overly friendly. read more

The store is always so clean and everything is fresh. Produce is always beautiful and fresh. The staff is all very nice and the manager Brian always greets me and goes the extra mile. You can tell they really care about their customers. Prices are also very good and you get the sale savings with or without a membership card. There is now a sign out front telling me that my reusable bags are no longer allowed in the store (not a CDC recommendation) and yet nearly all of the employees are working without a mask or any face covering, which IS a CDC recommendation. To top it off, I walked in the store and immediately saw a checker pull a used tissue from her pocket and cram her finger in her nose with it, digging around in her nose. She then put the tissue back in her pocket and went about her business at the register area. I can't bring my bags in the store, but this is the person who is going to touch every thing I bring to the check stand? You lost my business. The employees down the street at the Bel Air were all wearing masks. My reusable bags were still not welcome there, but at least no one was picking their nose and they were following CDC recommendations. read more

My five star review is for the Pharmacy inside this SaveMart. I switched from The CVS pharmacy located in this same shopping center, and never looked back. I still drive to this pharmacy, which is located by our previous home, from our new home located iWestPark area, because they are that good! The pharmacist and the Tech know me by name and know my husband when either of us go in to pick-up medication. I hope they keep this pharmacy open for years to come because I have no desire to have to transfer my prescription from this SaveMart to a CVS or other. read more

I am an avid Bel Air shopper (for their customer service) but find myself coming here more often because it's close to home. I will say that they always have great deals on grocery and non-grocery items. The staff are always pleasant and on nice weather weekends they are outside on the grill cooking up some tri-tip. During holidays and sport season the store is decorated accordingly and they typically have a cool display to look at (go Niners! lol). There are also two red boxes at this location. read more

This store has 1 cold and rude manager. and I rude cashier .first they have a lot of groceries that bel air has stopped carrying. and they have the best fried chicken . make a long story short .I had to transfer funds and come back to pick up my groceries and wasn't treated very nice .some of the things said by the cashier were rude . many times in my life people have not had enough money to pay for their food ,or have forgotten the way of payment I have never seen a cashier treat that person as less .I wont be standing in her line I don't even want to go back there but its close and it is way more expensive read more

I like this grocery store for it's convenient location, that it is open till midnight, friendly cashiers, and the rewards program they have. I would rate this place higher if the quality of some of their products were better. They often have some really good deals but most of their other name-brand items are about the same price as Bel-Air's. If you don't mind cheap and generic Save-mart definitely has more of that. The rewards program lets you earn points to get cookware which is different. I'm not too fond of the layout of the store which has sections scattered but that's just my preference to have like items in the same section so I can better locate them. This is a good grocery store. It's very well organized and clean. They offer a wide variety or food and beverages. I hope someone in management will read this, and that is why I gave you 5 stars, I'm trying to get your attention! Maybe you'll read it out of curiosity. I have talked to three different employees, (assistant managers), on three separate occasions about this same problem. They all promised to pass it along to management, but nothing has been done. Sooo---I'll try again via Yelp. It's simple. You stock Glory canned greens in several different varieties. You are charging $4.45 per can. This is more than twice the price they should be. At most stores they are approximately $1.79 per can. I'm sure Save Mart doesn't mark things up THAT much. This is obviously a mistake. I'm trying to help YOU to correct it so you can sell these greens that nobody is buying, (including me, though you are one of the closest stores to me-I'm not paying THAT much)! Nobody will pay that much. You need to correct this simple problem. I first brought this to the attention of a night manager about a year ago, and twice since. Still nothing has been done. If I could 0 stars. I was in line and I was rung up some wine and thought the bottle was open. I said to Debbie hold on a sec and went to grab another bottle. Eight seconds later she was ringing up the entire line of customers. I mean seriously I said give me a sec and after the line was done I was finally run up. Poor attitude by the checker. Went in looking for a few items for a meal I was cooking up and right as I walked into the produce department I was greeted by a young gentleman named Kevin, who was very knowledgeable and got me exactly what I needed, after that I was able to make my way through a couple isles and up to the line where I met Julie. She greeted me with a smile and asked if I found everything alright, she even noticed that my debit card was the San Francisco Giants and proceeded to tell me about how her husband and son watch a lot of baseball. First and last time I will give this store my business. Rude employee and a weekend manager that doesn't seem to care. I told the guy in the front I wanted a bbq tri-tip medium rare. He said it would be about an hour so I wandered around the store getting a few more things and waiting for it to be done. Don't let the name fool you. This place is pretty pricey if you ask me. It's a good place to stop in for a quick item or two, but not the place to grab everything on your weekly shopping list. The selection is very limited. I tend to have to walk up and down the isles to find something I need-- their grocery isles are split down the middle so you tend to wander out of order! I've been going to this store for many years. It's your typical neighborhood grocery store. The clerks are always friendly and I think the prices are fine. What sets this one apart is its commitment to helping the community around it. Full disclosure - I am heavily involved in a local charitable organization. Save Mart has always allowed us to set up outside its doors and ask for donations. And it's not just my organization - I've seen girl scouts, boy scouts, veteran organizations, etc. Great store! read more

I will say, the employees that check you out at the registers are very friendly. I come to the store for convenience not prices. We recently moved into the neighborhood and this is the closest grocery store around. Granted I've been to plenty of savemarts and have had no problems but today was a new story. I was checked out by women named Amber today and I honestly haven't met anyone with such a poor attitude in any industry up in till today. I won't EVER br back again all because of this horrific checker. I was treated poorly from the moment I met her. What a train wreck this employee is, savemart management? I don't come here often since Bel Air is closer to home. I only come when BA is out of what I need. You would think with a name of "Save" in it would mean just that. It does not at all. They are expensive without reason. The store is old and outdated. The employees are like zombies. Not rude or unfriendly, just a little doom and gloom. Felt weird. No smiles, no cheer. Hardly any customers on a Saturday. The meat dept. is scarce. They had some king crab parts wrapped in a foam tray that looked like remnants and I thought maybe on sale but nope they were charging $15.99 for what looked like scraps, ewww. Came for some prawns and the guy behind the counter moved like molasses. No sense of urgency. Got them home and they were slimey like they had been sitting a long while. A few were questionable by smell and texture so I threw them out. The only upside was that the produce dept looked for neat and clean. Definitely think twice about shopping here.
