This pizza place is underrated. Didn't quite make the anchorage choice list which is unfortunate. We usually order saverios special. I haven't really ordered anything else. The only suggestion is to ALWAYS greet your customers. Even with a wave to say hello. At one point we kept calling to place order and it wouldn't even go to voice mail. I have ordered online and it was just fine. Suggestion... some just come in for pick up and some need to place an order. Maybe ask when customers arrive. We been there on busy times and slow for carry out. Don't be deterred by customer service. Saverio does greet when he is in the kitchen. read more

I'm SO happy Moose's Tooth was so crazy busy because I called Saverio's after reading their reviews. All four of us agreed, my 3 yr old grandson, my 15 yr old grandson (that's saying a lot) my daughter and me. We ordered a plain cheese, the sauce was tasty, a perfect amazing of cheese with a great crust that had a lightly crisped bottom. Also ordered a Mhargarite and finally one done right!!! Very good! My husband and I went there for lunch today. We have had their pizza before and loved it. Best pizza in town. Today we decided to try something new. My husband got the Italiano sandwich and I had the calzone. My husband can't stop talking about his sandwich. It was the best Italian sandwich he ever had. My calzone didn't disappoint either. Saverio's is by far my favorite go-to pizza place! This restaurant has a real authentic Italian feel as soon as you walk in. Their pizzas are thin, crispy and always cooked to perfection. The owners are amazing people and always welcoming. They treat us like family. No pizza place in town can compare to these guys. My family and I love this place! I recommend the clam casino, ricotta pizza and original cheese of course - because you always gotta have the cheese. If you want real pizza, clean environment and warm hospitality. There Number Two on my Favorite Pizza joint to take my Family. This owner knows his way to bring a very good and delicious pizza. My kids order the Lasagna and it was cooked well and just the right amount of sauce and flavor. I've ordered many time for pick up I wish they had delivery service. But that's ok trust me Anchorage you won't be disappointed. They load up on there toppings on a pie they have made me happy. Time to time I Do like Moose's T-Pizza and Bear T-Pizza. All these three Pizza Joints have in common is they don't have a delivery service and I Believe all there dough is very soft Good tasting sauce. Very clean Dine in Lobby Friendly Service just like the other two joints I've liked and been. FYI, who wants Scilly's or Pizza H. Or Dominos, these three places are way to Greasy in their pies.! I feel this place will be winning awards for best local pizza for years to come. It's that good. No you're not going to find some of the specialty pizzas you'd get at Moose's Tooth, but this is traditional style pizza where the crust and sauce are so good they melt in your mouth. Saverio makes every order himself because he has such a high standard for quality. First visit I got a pepperoni and black olive pizza. Next trip I got a Margherita with prosciutto. Both were some of the best I've ever had. Only problem is the hours: lunch only except Saturdays. I'm sure the hours will expand as business grows. And my waistline will expand with it! read more

Amazing pizza! The meat lovers stuffed pizza is just delightful. I have to admit the first time I went in I didn't know what to expect. I've been back multiple times since then. I was there with two friends at about 2 pm on a Saturday. All three of us ordered calzone. Thirty minutes later whenI went to inquire about our order, I was assured it would be up in two minute. At the time there were maybe six other customers in the restaurant, busy right? The calzone arrives. The outer crust was excellent, however the inside was overwhelmingly cheese, with what almost appeared as some token pepperoni. Ugh! This is what I think of when I'm craving pizza, a classic New York style thin crust. I've been driving past it for awhile and finally manage to catch them while they were open. Their hours are a bit odd, I think they're still getting on their feet. The owner is super nice, you can tell he takes a lot of pride in the food. I only had a couple slices but they were delicious, one pepperoni and one of the sausage. I definitely plan on getting a whole pizza next time though. Once they're fully up and running I may change this to a 5 star review. The only complaint I have is that I didn't get to order a whole pizza at the time because the chef wasn't in. I didn't have, nor were inclined to wait 30 minutes outside in the wind for a table at the nearby Moose Tooth. Found Saverio's was nearby and had great reviews. I was not disappointed. Great, friendly service, no wait and very fresh food. I enjoyed a Mediterranean salad and sausage and olive pizza. I wanted a side of peppericini peppers and there it was.
