Excellent sandwiches and lemonade, needs better facilities for visitors. Free parking just outside the Garden of Eden. We stopped in as the skies had opened up for the afternoon and made a visit to the garden untenable. We had the Island Chicken grilled sandwich, which is actually worthy of the description "amazing". Perfect balance of strong flavours between the sun-dried tomatoes, pesto and marinated artichoke hearts, and no skimping on the chicken. Best sandwich I've had in years. Free banana bread ends are offered at the ordering window; they only sell the middle section. As a lover of bread ends generally, this was a sweet surprise! Tried also Auntie Ohmi's fresh gingerale, so refreshing with fresh ginger juice, tart and spicy. Their lemonade drinks are a little pricey but beautifully constructed, worth it. Coffee is average, served lukewarm, with an unnecessary upcharge of $1 for any kind of milk/cream. Now the downfall. Service was not very friendly, and I had to ask for my change when I paid $6 for a $5.24 lukewarm coffee with milk. It was going in the tip jar anyway, but seriously, it was like she expected me just to walk away from my change. Not cool. The ambience is not great. Lots of seating, none of it designed for rainy weather. All the tables except 2 were soaked, the umbrellas are for shade only. It rains regularly here, so much so that the garden sells ponchos. But if you pay $25 for a sammie and a drink, you might just have to eat it in your car. The portapotty was truly disgusting, piled so high with human waste that if one sat, it would be atop a used TP mountain. Truly horrendous, There's no excuse for this. And yet they have the gall to ask for donations to maintain it? Gross gross gross Great food, might be better to grab and go. Or just grab, don't go, unless you want an impromptu fecal transplant. read more

This food stand is located in the Garden of Eden on the Road to Hana (mile marker 10-11). They were super friendly and laid back. There were lots of picnic tables. Thank goodness for their existence as there are not to many meals along the road to hana. As a vegetarian, I ordered the French onion grilled cheese with chips and strawberry guava lemonade. The grilled cheese was on sourdough and used maui onions-- it was grilled to perfection. The lemonade was nice to cool off in the heat after hiking thru the garden. The food stand is located as you enter the garden of eden but before you pay entry so you can go there without seeing the garden but we enjoyed the garden, its flowers, ocean vistas, waterfalls and art gallery. read more

Exactly what I was looking for here on Maui! A convenient delivery service of quality meat. In my box, I received everything from fish, to chicken, pork, beef. I found the detailed printout of the produce: where the meat came from, storage time, cooking advice etc. super helpful. The variety of fresh meat saved me from the "what are we having for dinner" headache because I already had options on hand. Visitors to Maui have to quarantine in place currently. Thanks to Savor Maui, my quarantine food was as good or better than anything I would have gotten from a restaurant.
