This used to be our fav spot for breakfast. Maybe COVID restrictions? Freezing cold waiting room, lackluster service both during and after the meal (wrong menu items, only 2 butters for the 4 of us, waiting over 15 minutes for the bill, etc). An excellent breakfast spot in Mill Creek. Have been in a few times and the service and food are consistently good. The portions are pretty big, so wear your stretchy pants. The prices are on par with other breakfast places in the area, but the portion sizes make this place a value for sure. Try the migas and the meat-lover's omlette they are so good! read more

Sadly unimpressed. I was very excited about the food because of the great word of mouth. It was lacking, from service to flavor. The food wasn't bad, it was just meh. Nothing memorable about it. Our server wasn't friendly and we had many awkward and confusing moments. Getting seated took a long time even though it wasn't busy, and getting our food took nearly an hour. What on earth! THIS is the size of their cinnamon roll?! This is big enough to feed 6-8 people! My (adult) daughter's hand is in the picture for comparison. We have been here before, and noticed their meal portions are large, so we've always taken leftovers home with us. But this time we just ran in for a quick snack with coffee! Ordered the cinnamon roll and a bran muffin, thinking they'd be small & quick! Holy shit! And the bran muffin was almost as big as the cinnamon roll! Anyone still wondering WHY there's an obesity epidemic? It's because of these damn huge portions of food, and they seem to think it's normal! I WILL NOT return to a restaurant whose portions are supporting and encouraging obesity! They've lost my patronage over these ridiculous sizes. I would definitely recommend holding your place in line using their online reservation system. Especially if you're planning to eat on a weekend mid-morning. We were seated quickly and our drink orders were taken immediately. We were given enough time to browse the menu to figure out what we wanted without being rushed even though the wait was an hour and a half for those waiting. The menu is pretty substantial. Our food was prepared quickly and correctly. Everything was flavorful.... Typical diner type food. Nothing to rave about but nothing to complain about either. Located in Mill Creek, this is a great place to catch up with friends and family over good food. Great setting, really nice decor that lives up to the name. I came here on a Monday morning with my sister. We were seated within a few minutes of putting our name down on the list. Service is great, food came out quickly, but they could have fresher coffee. I like how they have International Delight creamer cups on the table for variety. We had a California Benedict with hash browns. I asked for the hash browns to be extra crispy, but I think they could have made it crispier. My sister and I also had bacon strips, and those were pretty good. I think the Benedict could have used less onions. I'd come here again for a quick breakfast catch up. read more

I'm a big iced tea fan. . I'm from the south and they do it right! Fresh and delicious and having worked in many restaurants, I can tell they keep their tea urns sanitized, a big plus for me! This place is delicious! I ordered the almond crunch French toast which came with whipped cream, butter, maple syrup and a side of eggs and bacon. Can I just say the fried almonds is such an awesome addition to an already breakfast fave? The beaux had the pulled pork burrito and the portion size was just right (aka huge). The only thing is that we did order pickup and were told we would be receiving a call when the food was ready. We ended up waiting in the lot for awhile and eventually I just went in to see if perhaps they got my number down wrong which they didn't. About four different people helped me get rung up and to get me the food. After paying, the server just left without handing the food or saying anything and I had to actually ask which one was my bag of food, which was just luke-warm. I went here after bouldering at Vertical World, so I was especially hungry! Having lived in Toronto the last 3 years, I was craving some sawmill gravy. I ordered the chicken fried steak with eggs over easy, and everything came out fantastic. Easy over eggs is one of those things like are pretty 50/50. Half the time the eggs are over done, but that's never the case here. The chicken fried steak was well seasoned and very crispy, and the gravy was so creamy and luxurious. Good food but mediocre service. I love the diversity of the menu & of course the all day breakfast is a winner. The epitome of comfort food! The pancakes here are so fluffy which is actually what keeps me coming back! Service isn't the best, but it's also a bit of a causal diner so it's good for what it is. Usually dining here is pleasant with the exception of the last two times. The time before last a server started vigorously sweeping the carpet (with an actual broom & not a silent shark vacuum roller thing!!) & all this dust and other ungodlike particles started flying into our food. She was literally sweeping right in front of us. The booth behind us, another couple, asked her to please refrain from sweeping until later due to the dust flying around in everyone's food. It was sunny so you could actually see the carpet dust/hair in the sunlight. Today I went in & my meal was delicious. I ordered the California omelet & pancakes but in the midst of enjoying it another server began really aggressively moving the tables in the middle of the room to the side & it felt like he was throwing the chairs around a bit aggressively right next to us so he could use the vacuum hoki in the middle of the room. It's hard to enjoy your meal w/ tables & chairs being tossed around. I mean I totally get it servers have side work to do & want to get it done as soon as they have some down time but that shouldn't effect that quality of service on the receiving end! I really want to give a high star rating, but I can't. Our initial experience with them was so horrible today that I cannot. We knew we'd have a wait trying to have breakfast at 10am on a Saturday. I put our name on the list and was told it would be 45 minutes. Fine. We'll survive. 30 minutes later I went in to check and was told 15 more minutes. 15 minutes later I checked and was told that people from Google are putting their names on the list and that keeps moving our time. Wait...what? You mean people NOT here from the Internet can put their name on the list and be put in front of me? And the young kid explained it to me that it's their "reservation" system. So we waited for another 15 minutes. Finally I had it. I went in and asked again. He started to say 15 more minutes when I stopped him and explained this wasn't ok. We are PHYSICALLY here and the other people are not. The guy standing by him sat us immediately. As we walked into the cafe, there were, I kid you not, 5 tables open. And at least 5 parties standing outside. When I asked the guy who was seating us he said they were reserved. Now, I understand that restaurants have it bad. But when you have this type of reservation policy, you're screwing people over who are literally RIGHT there. Not home in their PJs still. It's unlikely I'll go back there for a while I wasn't a happy camper. On the bright side, the food was good. The waitress was on it and super friendly. read more

Loved the decor of this cute little breakfast cafe. My husband the veggie skillet with 2 eggs on top & a pancake instead of toast & he said it was DAMMNN GOOD. Mine wasn't as good as his because my poached eggs were more done than I like (more hard boiled). I have such a hard time because medium to me is done whites & runny yellow but it's usually crispy whites & runny yellows so I never know how to order lol. My friend & I often order Eggs Benedict & split it but they have the wonderful option of ordering a 1/2. We both went for the bacon/tomato/avacado with the red potatoes. Potatoes were great...seasoned well & done perfectly. They advertise they make their own Hollandaise sauce....well....maybe they need to add the LEMON which is what makes the sauce so delicious...& hard to make. But the really problems is that the tomato & avocado are COLD so the whole dish is just lukewarm. Coffee was good. We both would like to come back & order something else. Only small town cafe around Mill Creek. Great food! The only problem is they don't allow substitutes like most other small cafes do. On Keeto so I try to stay away from the potatoes and carbs but every meal comes with some form of carb.
