    Hair found inside cheesecake slice

To say this restaurant is hit or miss is an understatement. We went once before and were underwhelmed but decided to give it another chance since its restaurant week. What was consistent is that the service was incredibly slow both times. Also, everyone in your party must order from the restaurant week menu. Leading us to order things we did not want. The poutine and French dip Mac n cheese were good, but I would not serve the chestnut chicken to my dogs. Bland, soft, and overall unimpressive. ETA: We got the dessert to go, because the service was so slow. Found a hair in the slice of cheesecake.

Fantastic drinks & apps! Garlic Bread Cheese Curds had so much flavor- moist interrior, crispy/salty coating sprinkled with Parm. (So often fried cheese curds are dry and tasteless). These were among the best I've had. Fritto Misto was sooo good! The light tempura-like batter made shrimp & vegetable medley so light and crisp. When paired with the lemon aioli, which has a burst of fresh citrus, you could just pop them like candy! Nice to sit at the bar and enjoy these starters. The cheese shop had a nice selection of summer wines & gourmet food products.

We've been here a couple of times but this is my first review. We went here on the Saturday night of the Ice n Spice festival in West Reading. Reservations weren't necessary but i always recommend them for times like this just so you have a guaranteed time. I had the croquet madame and my wife had the poutine burger. The croquet madame was good but the egg was over cooked. My wife's burger was overcooked as well and had very little gravy on it. Our server was nice which is usually the case. There is a good vibe in the place with music and people enjoying themselves but it's not too loud or obnoxious. They also have a wine shop attached to the restaurant and you can buy supplies for charcuterie trays at home.

Some food here was excellent, and some was very good. The covered outside-ish area with large windows was enjoyable. The service was good, and the food was warm and fresh when it came out.

My husband and I haven't been here since it was redone. We decided to try it for dinner. We were able to find parking on the side street. Upon entering we were greeted by the friendly hostess. We reserved "bar area" assuming maybe a table in the bar area, not the actual bar. However, we opted for the bar. The bartenders were not overly friendly and lacked a personality. I ordered the sangria which was good and my husband enjoyed his drinks. We started with the curds and loaded fries. The fries were excellent. The curds themselves were good but the marinara was served cold, which didn't make a great combo. The meals took a bit of time to come out. The chicken parm grilled cheese was good but it was a bit dry, which could have used more sauce that was flavorful. The salad was slightly wilted. Overall, it wasn't bad but I definitely miss the old menu. I just felt that while there were options, it was just a variation of the first item listed. The place itself is beautiful. I'd definitely come back and give it another go.

This place has been recommended numerous times. Super cute on the inside with the small shopping area. Service was on point. First, the size of the appetizers are huge! We had a group of five and split the fried cheese curd and fried pickles. More than enough for five people and essentially the same size of the entrees. I could definitely order an appetizer and have that serve as my meal. Both appetizers were delicious. I wasn't a fan of the Asian inspired sauce. It didn't pair well with the cheese. Now the aioli sauce, perfect with the cheese curd! I enjoyed the addition of the sundried tomato's on my small Cesar salad along with the fresh shaved Parmesan. The Honey Hot Fried Chicken Sandwich had a nice fry on the outside, still moist on the inside, and soft cushiony brioche bun. My only criticism is the smoke coming from the open kitchen. It didn't seem like there was proper ventilation. I felt like I smelled like the place for the rest of the day.

There is sooo much to say. Yes say CHEESE. The drinks, food, and service were amazing. I went on a Wednesday and enjoyed the band. I look forward to going back.

6/23/2018 - WEDDING PARTY What a great concept. It is an artisan cheese shop and a full service restaurant. This was the place for the reception dinner after a family member's wedding. They had their private party room reserved with one long table and another long table outside the room in the actual restaurant. The manager and the staff were wonderful. We ordered off the menu. I had the *RASPBERRY CHICKEN SALAD ($16) Fresh raspberries, cherry tomatoes, cucumber, gorgonzola crumbles, asparagus, baby spinach, & white balsamic vinaigrette. I asked for dressing on the side. I added the 5oz grilled chicken (add on $4). As everyone's dishes were arriving they all looked great. My salad took longer because, according to the waitress, they added the dressing. My boyfriend and I ordered the same thing. He did add ($) avocado, chicken and salmon to his. When the salad arrived, it was very disappointing. (see pics). It looked like there was little to no thought while putting this simple salad together. The baby spinach was all clumped together like they grabbed a handful from a bag, the "crumbles" of gorgonzola were two big chunks, the raspberries looked squeezed. Overall, the restaurant was nice and clean, service was excellent, MY particular salad was poorly executed. Everyone else's dish looked very appetizing. If we lived in the area, we would go again and I would try a different dish.

We had our team office party at Say Cheese! On Friday 12/15 and had a great time. Our server was phenomenal!! I didn't get him name, but he deserves all the praise for dealing with a large group flawlessly!

Wow would be a good start to this place. Service was fair to good, the waitress would wonder off before you could finish asking for things, that would be my only suggestion for improvement. I'm there to order and you are there to wait. It's a simple arrangement bound by the simple service agreement. BUT- let's talk about the phenomenon food. The grilled cheese is delicious, better than delicious. I added a hamburger patty- what was I thinking? Not sure but it was sheer brilliance- amazing. Someone got just the plain grilled cheese- yep, it was delicious too. And then the steak & cheese Mac? Umhmmmm. Yummy. This place is amazing!

Say Cheese is a must-visit spot for anyone looking for an exceptional dining experience. From the appetizers to the entrees, each dish is cooked to perfection with great attention to detail. On this visit, I got the Garlic Cheese Curds, Chicken Parmesan Dinner, Cacio e Peppe Gnocchi, and a bottle of wine during happy hour. The Garlic Cheese Curds were not only delicious but also came out piping hot and fresh, with a crispy exterior and a gooey, cheesy center. The garlic and butter added a beautiful depth of flavor that was not too overpowering, making it a perfect appetizer to start the meal. They were also served with a marinara sauce that was perfect for dipping and complimented the richness of the cheese curds well. The Chicken Parmesan Dinner was served in a generous portion, with tender chicken that was cooked to perfection. The rigatoni pasta was cooked to al dente perfection, and the vodka sauce was creamy and full of flavor, making it a perfect complement to the dish. The Caesar salad that came as a side was fresh and crisp, adding a nice contrast to the dish. The chicken was tender and juicy and not dry at all and had a perfect crunchy exterior. It's hard to find chicken parmesan done this well anywhere. As for the Cacio e Peppe Gnocchi, the cheese sauce was velvety and rich, and the gnocchi was soft and fluffy. The dish was perfectly seasoned, with just the right amount of salt and cheese, creating a beautiful blend of flavors. While the black pepper flavor was not very prominent, the dish still managed to impress with its creaminess and deliciousness. Overall, Say Cheese! does an excellent job of using fresh and high-quality ingredients, which truly enhances the flavor of the dishes. The dishes are also beautifully presented, with attention paid to the smallest details. The restaurant is a great spot for a casual night out or a special occasion, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable dining experience. In addition to the restaurant, Say Cheese! also has a cheese shop that is worth checking out. With ample seating both indoors and outdoors, it's a perfect place to dine with friends or family, and the cheese shop is a great spot to find unique and flavorful cheeses to take home.
