I know this is quite late from the first time we ate here but this place needs a review. We moved from SoCal where we were used to top notch sushi. We moved last year and tried a few places in Phoenix Chandler and Tempe and left very disappointed. I didnt realize we had our very own Say Sushi in Copa. And wow!!! This is a great sushi place. They had the standard sushi rolls of most sushi restaurants but a lot of their specialty rolls we're one of kind. The restaurant is fairly small but it's well worth the trip and wait because the food is fantastic! read more

Came here an hour before they closed and everyone was shady. Didn't want to serve us and treated us like we were a burden. No stars. Only gave us one thing of chop sticks and never came to ask if we were okay. Constantly told us last call is at 9 when website says closes at 930. Disappointed. Never got our appetizers. It is a great sushi restaurant no matter where you go. It's just good with great service. Everything is fresh with great taste. The test for me at any sushi place is spicy tuna - simple it tells you if the chef knows what they are doing. Sean, the chef is fantastic. read more

Been here twice now. First time was quick to get a table and food was delicious waitress was friendly. Second time we went around dinner time and we had to wait 20 mins for a table everything was perfect like the first time. Love the California and Crunch rolls! Only thing I wish it was a bigger building because it makes me feel clustered. read more

The cuts are bigger than normal. The fish is firm and flavorful. They have good options and their lunch menu has a few really good options at very reasonable prices.... all in all... highly recommended if you like sushi. read more

Slow and rude service, use to be so much better. Now they have younger girls working there that pretty much stand around. Sushi was good, depending on what role you get. The shrimp tempura and 911 role were not good but the las vegas and calamari r delicious. read more

I recommend getting carryout not dining in. Cooks are AMAZING the food is always fresh and delicious! I don't go anymore because the waitresses are so incredibly rude! I was never one for sushi, but a friend of mine LOVES it. She wanted to try this place and let me tell you I am a CONVERT!!! I do not do the raw stuff, but My favorite rolls are: The Spider, The Shrimp Killer and then, of course, the California Roll. Great, friendly service, I like the atmosphere, and honestly it is one of the TOP places to eat in Maricopa.. Admittedly we do not have MUCH out here and not a whole lot of choices, but still. The food is great. The service used to be excellent but the newer wait staff could use a lesson in good customer service. Also it feels pretty cramped. I think a bigger space would do them wonders. I saw so many people walk in only to walk right out when they saw how packed it was. Overall its usually a good experience. read more

I've lived in Maricopa for 13 years (yes, before there were people here) anyways I avoided this restaurant because I figured "sushi in Maricopa? Seriously?" then I came to find out my very picky friend from Ahwatukee was driving down HERE to get sushi... again... SERIOUSLY?? So I decided to try it with her and I was astounded! Not only was is great sushi in Maricopa, it's great sushi compared to anywhere! I've brought numerous friends there now and all have loved it. I've tried, hot foods, countless rolls, monkey balls, but the biggest surprise and still my favorite was the sashimi, the yellow tail to be exact, it was so thick, cut properly, firm, and the flavor and serving size couldn't be beat. I now go in about once a week just for the yellow tail and every time it's been spot on. I highly recommend you at least give it a try, they have great happy hour (with real hours you can actually make it to) and always friendly service. read more

I love this place! It's fantastic! It was super busy when we were there, all the tables were full. The service was still fast and great. The food was delicious! There was a lot of it. We got the bento boxes. They brought out the first course to our box. It was salad and some sushi. We thought that was it. We were saying that was great food. We silently were A little disappointed that was it. Then they brought out more of the courses. It was a lot of food. The tempura is very good. We definitely were not disappointed. It was our fault we didn't know the other courses were coming. It was a happy surprise. There very friendly there to. I would recommend it for sure! read more
