I'd put zero but I'm not able to. My son was seen by this dentist for 3 years with braces. I clearly saw that his teeth were completely closed together , yet, they kept finding excuses to leave the braces on. In the end, my kid would tell me they did nothing other than putting the rubbers in and fixing the brackets. The Brackets would fall off even right after the appts. We would accept our responsibility once or twice but they blamed us for the brackets falling every time and charged us. They were clearly cheap and were not put on properly with care and time. My kid's relative was responsible for the payments, the office kept pressuring me to make the payments and I couldn't. They decided not to let my kid come in until the payments were paid off. They even banned me coming in until the payments were paid for. He was in pain in the end of his time with the braces and begged to take them off. Talk about putting my kid in the middle and suffering pain. They kept billing ME when I clearly told them so many times to bill the other relative responsible for the payments. They demanded me to pay when I told them I would not be able to at all. Can't understand how anyone could decline a child and the pain for the payments first. They were very rude and unprofessional. I suspect they stalled the removal of my son's braces so they could profit more. I would really honestly tell you not to go there at all. read more

The office was clean and organized. With a knowledgable staff who were very friendly. I did cleaning with Rebecca and then Dr. Chang did the exam and found out that I had couple fillings. He is straightforward and knowledgable and let me make decision about my care. They also play background music too! Awesome teeth day for me!! read more

Dr. Chang is a great Dentist, but I caution anyone thinking of going in for the NightLase treatment. It's not covered by insurance, it's ridiculously expensive, and frankly it doesn't work. I had 3 treatments, that were completely ineffective. read more

As a faithful "every 6 months to the dentist" person you can imagine my surprise that my first visit at this office as a new patient after moving to AZ showed that I needed 2 crowns replaced and a deep cleaning. The dental assistant painted a bleak picture of my dental health BEFORE she had even looked at my teeth or done X-rays. She said "the dentist will decide what type of cleaning you get today" and I replied "no, I get to decide the type of cleaning I get". I never went back and found another dentist (Denaro Family Dentistry off Happy Valley) and no surprise, perfect check up. No issues with my teeth and I definitely don't need 2 crowns replaced. Thank you SC Dentistry for making me feel like my dental needs really matter. As soon as I walked in the office I was welcomed with a friendly smile. The staff was happy to answer all of my questions. Normally, when I'm receiving dental treatment, I suffer from anxiety. However Dr. Chang and his team were amazing, I was informed throughout the whole procedure of what was going on and what was going to happen next. I was able to get a treatment plan organized and will continue to be a patient as well as recommend all my family and friends. Today was the last straw!!! I've tried give Dr. Chang the benefit of the doubt, but at this point he's left no room for me to be optimistic! You may say it's my fault for returning to his office after my first couple of not so great experiences, but I try to give everyone a chance especially professionals who may have high stress careers, such as Dr. Chang! The first time i'd ever met Dr. Chang was for my wisdom teeth extractions in 2019. Everything was great up until the point where in the middle of extracting my teeth I attempted to express concern about the process and Dr. Chang told me to "Shut Up". I was very upset but the Dr. apologized and I continued to use Dr. Chang for my dental needs. Fast forward to 2021, Dr. Chang did a couple of my fillings over the course of 3 appointments. At each appointment i was forced to hear Dr. Chang complain about the scheduling at his office and how other patients were so high maintenance. I fee like a patient should never have to hear this. While in the chair, I felt as though Dr. Chang was rushing the job. I noticed that over the course of a couple of weeks that it was super hard for me to floss my teeth without feeling sensitivity and pain, and when trying to pull the floss through my teeth, I would feel a great deal of discomfort. Also when i would eat my teeth would hurt. I went back today to and mentioned to the Dr. what was going on and the first thing that he said was, "You lose weight if you cant eat" I said, excuse me, and the Dr. tried playing it off. Also the Dr. basically told his assistant that he was done trying to fix my issues for the day and that he would follow up with my in three weeks. So yes, I left today still feeing discomfort and pain when I floss and the Dr. failed to correct his work after doing a tush job!!!!! Will never allow him to work on my teeth everrrrr again! Save yourself some time and DO NOT go to this Dr. for any dental needs. read more

SC Dentistry is being investigated by the Arizona board of dentistry, I highly suggest you avoid going to this dentist. Here it is a year later SC Dentistry would now rather pay money to an attorney in order not to take responsibility to fix the mistakes that have been done to my teeth. Their attorney wants me to file a motion against another dentist, their attorney said it's a solid case. We can't say enough about this practice! My husband was in desperate need of an emergency extraction and we had not established a relationship with a dentist, since we moved to AZ. We decided to drive to a 24 hour practice, but within about a mile of our home, we came upon SC Dentistry at Arrowhead and decided to see if we could get in. Jennifer, at the front desk, was immediately welcoming and told us that the oral surgeon was in and they could see my husband, immediately. Soon, we were ushered in to meet Abe and Dr. Gwilt, who were incredibly compassionate and friendly-- we knew we were in the right place. I'm not sure that most would look at an appointment for teeth extraction as pleasurable, but I can honestly say that we enjoyed every second that we were there. The amount of time and attention paid to teaching and explaining was so appreciated. We were so comfortable with them that we ended up setting an appointment, for me, within a couple days. My appointment was equally as pleasurable and I even got a paraffin wax treatment on my hands... who does that?! Thank you, Abe-- very, very cool touch. We now have a dental plan with this practice, moving forward. I've already told 5 people about the service, proficiency and quality of the dentist and the staff-- they are truly outstanding. Great new location with TV's to watch while being worked on. How cool is that? Staff is friendly and not pushy like some other dentist offices. They explain procedures fully and go out of their way to make you feel comfortable. Dr. K was great for both my Daughter and I, and I would highly recommend him and his staff to anyone in the Arrowhead area. read more

We brought our kids here and an hour after they took xrays they tell us they can't fill our kids cavities because they don't work on children. So now we have to ask for more time off of work and take the kids out of school early again, to go to another one of their offices to have this work done. UNPROFESSIONAL! read more

I Had been going to the same dentist for years when the business changed hands. I was immediately told I needed 5 crowns. FIVE! I didn't need 5 crowns 6 months before. I needed a root canal and a crown done--that tooth was bothering me--so I had it done. The tooth has never stopped being painful.. It started getting worse so I had a different dentist look at it. The root canal that was done did not go all the way down to the bottom of the tooth and a pocket of infection was forming. I will have to get it redone if I don't want to lose the tooth. These dentists appear to mostly be concerned with getting as much money as possible from their patients. read more

Yesterday, I found a dentist I really like. I have had bad experiences with "drive through" dentists and one who I liked but the reception staff, snarky. So I was made to feel welcome at SC Dental, very kind, caring and I saw a real dentist, no disrespect to assistants or hygenists. I went for my 6 month cleaning today. As usual, I got great service and the staff was very friendly as well as professional. I met my new dentist, Brooke Zoumbaris. I'm always a bit nervous when first meeting with a new person but she made my visit very comfortable. She was very welcoming and didn't push anything on me that I didn't want. I recommend this office to anyone who wants a good experience with a professional and knowledgable staff. read more

Recently I went in for a cleaning. After that I was told that my right front icisor needed to have a filling replaced with a crown. The tech (not the doctor) gave me the injection.This was most painful injection I have ever had ( I have had many). Then after the initial work was done I experienced a great swelling of my upper lip (never had that before) the following visit the new crown was put in. It sits farther out that the l3eft incision so much that I can feel it with my lip and farther away from the other that I have trouble with food being trapped in the space.I will NOT be going back again even though I have been going to that address for a long time. read more

If Dr. Chang was there full time and did everything this would be a great office. However, everytime I went, I was being pushed into services by the staff and then they would be vague on the price telling me services were covered by insurance. They couldn't even get the billing right to the insurance company. Audrey was not highly motivated to assist whenever I could bother getting her on the phone. I have no problem paying for services. The issue is sloppy billing and misinformation on eligibility. Will be going elsewhere with the rest of my family. read more

My family started going to this practice when Dr. Baryla owned it and it was awesome. She was practical in her approach and never pushed procedures that you didn't need and her front office staff would work out a payment plan that would work for you. The hygenists were fantastic, but once the new company took over they got rid of the all the previous employees and brought in new people. My husband recently went in for his annual cleaning and they didn't do it, they told him he needed an extremely deep cleaning and that it would be over $1000. While he was in the chair the office manager came back and tried to get him to sign up for a high interest dental credit card to pay for it. He told them that he would take the information home to discuss with his wife. Soon as he said that they took his bib off and sent him away without even doing his annual cleaning. This office has gotten pushy, and money grubbing, we will be looking for a new dentist. read more
