    egg yolk raviolo
    Cindy L.

What a delightful experience. I went out for a nice dinner by myself before a show at the BMCC Tribeca Performing Arts Center and was very satisfied by the options on the prixe fixe menu. I told them up front that I don't eat seafood and they accommodated all the primi piccoli for me. They gave me a small salad, bread, and the zucchini milanese. The zucchini was absolutely spectacular and not slimy at all as fried zucchini tends to get. I also was surprised that I ate the whole salad considering it had beets in it. I typically don't like them but they were prepared very well here. Then for the primi, I chose the egg yolk raviolo which was absolutely delicious. I love truffle and this definitely has a lot of truffle. It wasn't too much for me though. I really enjoyed it. For my secondi, I got the pork reggiano medallions and this one did disappoint me a bit because I thought the sauce was more bitter than I anticipated, probably due to the cognac. I also thought that the sauce made the breading on the pork a bit soggy. I did enjoy the apples and nuts though, I feel like it just needed some more of that apple flavor cooked into the sauce to balance out the bitterness with the sweetness. My favorite course though surprisingly was the dessert! I enjoyed the sorbet palate cleanser but the bruleed banana tart was absolutely FANTASTIC and my favorite bite of the night. Overall I really liked the experience of a fancy multiple course dinner and getting to try a bunch of smaller plates, not to mention all the servers were spectacular as well. I had so much fun even by myself.

This is a hidden gem in tribecca area. The food is very traditional but tastes good. Price is so affordable. You can dine in this restaurant everyday without breaking your wallet empty. Service is excellent.

The fabulous Ashley P. treated me for dinner for my birthday. I have been wanting to try Scalini Fedeli for years, so we went. Scalini Fedeli is in the old Bouley space on Duane St. in Tribeca. The space is very attractive, but needs some love. Dinner is fixed priced at $89 per person. Let's begin. You'll receive three apps courtesy of the Chef. The first was Smoked Salmon on toast. It was fabulous. The second was fried Eggplant in red sauce. Not to my liking. And number three was fried Shrimp in a Sherry Mustard sauce. The Shrimp were overcooked, but that sauce was divine. Now on to dinner. Ashley and I both ordered the Porcini Ravioli as a starter. The Ravioli were undercooked, but the sauce was fabulous. My entre was medallions of Pork. The medallions were fried and a bit tough, but the Endive on top was simply delicious. Ashley liked her Salmon. The Chef sends out complimentary Coconut and Lime Sorbet. The Sorbet was excellent, but the Granola bits didn't work. We both ordered the warm flourless Chocolate cake for dessert. The cake was very good, and the Pistachio Gelato was great. Now on to service. The b team was definitely in place on the evening that we dined, and the service was perfunctory at best. My feeling is that Scalini Fedeli has the potential to be a great restaurant. A few improvements to the menu would help. The decore needs to updated, and the servers could be more attentive.

Amazing Italian food in a wonderful old-school Italian atmosphere! We went with the three-course prix fixe menu and shared everything. For the primi, I had porcini ravioli with mushroom and black truffle sauce--absolutely incredible! The flavors were well-balanced, rich but not too heavy. My boyfriend had the Ecuadorian shrimp, which was tasty, and he liked it a lot, though a bit too sour for my taste. For the main course, we had the scallops Saltimbocca and salmon Forestiere. Both were cooked perfectly, and the beet reduction added a nice touch of sweetness. The scallops were especially delicious! We also received several complimentary amuse-bouches between courses. After dinner, they served a refreshing coconut sorbet as a palate cleanser. For dessert, we chose one chocolate and one non-chocolate option, both served with ice cream. They were rich and satisfying, though a bit heavy. Service was excellent--professional, attentive, and made the whole experience even better. The restaurant itself is quiet and cozy, perfect for a relaxed evening. Overall, a fantastic value for a prix fixe menu. You'll leave full and happy!

This restaurant is top notch. The food was phenomenal and service exceptional. We had the prix fixe dinner which was so tasty. It was dark, so pictures do not do the food justice.

Michelin Star restaurant! It's a preset menu at $89/pax. We were here on a Sunday evening. The food and service were second to none. The gnocchi dish was delectable, and the dessert was indulgent. You do get several "chef selections" between courses, and unfortunately this kind of cuts your appetite. I would definitely come back!

A beautiful charming space. First greeted by Nick who was personable and attentive. The servers were also great.. It was a tasting menu and tasty. It was every appetizer was delicious and served immediately. There is no no waiting to eat or drink, which was unusual for such a fancy establishment. The scallop carpaccio and the ravioli was fantastic. The pork and the fillet of sole also absolutely delicious. They even managed to nail an espresso martini and the wines, although expensive by the glass are also right on the money when you pay a lot for a meal you expect something out of the ordinary and this experience was exactly that I will definitely be back.

A PHENOMENAL Italian spot in TriBeCa. I had no idea this restaurant existed and it blew me away. Let me start by saying while all the food was delicious, what really stood out to us was the service here. They treat you like royalty and it's probably some of the best service at a restaurant I've ever seen. Our party of 5 did the $79 per person pre fix menu. This comes with 3 shared apps for the table, one item from their pasta course, one from the mains/proteins, and a dessert. Everything we ate was phenomenal and portions are very generous. On top of the pre fix, the chef brought out several complimentary items. We got 2 extra appetizers for the table, an additional mushroom pasta dish for the table and EACH got a coconut lime sorbet scoop on top of our picked desserts. Completely worth the $79 price tag - we literally rolled out of the restaurant we were so full. I personally ordered the butternut squash agnolotti and the scallops for my main and zero complaints. Would come back here any time and will be recommending to everyone.

What a fantastic restaurant! My wife had been to the Chatham location and always raved about it. We gave their NYC location a shot, and it was one of the better restaurant experiences I've had recently. The menu is slightly unique in that it's a pre-fixe with options for each course. First course is mostly pastas, and antipasto type offerings. The mains are mostly fish and meat. A bunch of dessert options too. It was (I believe) $89/pp which is a great deal for the whole experience. Wines by the glass were a little pricey, but nothing too crazy. We had three amuse bouche dishes before everything. Notably, the shrimp with mustard/sherry reduction was fantastic. For the first course I did the porcini ravioli. I normally don't gravitate towards truffle dishes, but this was incredible. The sauce was rich and very truffley (If that's a word), but also wasn't overpowering or too heavy. I would make sure to order this if you come here. My wife had the tagliatelle bolognese which was perfectly executed as well. As for the main dish, I had the duck. Cooked perfectly, and the cherry reduction was delicious and not overly sweet. Great mashed potatoes as well. For dessert we each had a soufle which is entirely too much food, but was just as good as the rest of the dishes. Service was on point, and the ambiance makes the whole experience feel special. I'll absolutely be back!

Very good restaurant. The raviolo was very good. Lamb was really really good. We also got a fusili special that had a creamy spicy tomato saice which was perfect.

I am SO glad we did. The vibe drew us in, they had great music bumpin from the outside, it looked lively and welcoming. First I'll start with the wine - we ended up trying all three happy hour wines (HH until 7), which the tables favorites were the white and we ended up getting a bottle to split once HH ended (but I really enjoyed the other vino verde option). It was incredibly refreshing and paired well with the many tinned fish options. As you'd expect - it's a pretty massive selection and there is bound to be a varietal and glass for any palate. It's also attached to a wine store - so it's fine to see all the bottles when peaking over. Food-wise - this is where it was hit or miss, they have a pretty extensive menu (with a whole tinned fish section!) and we ended up ordering the buratta on focaccia (buratta was excellent, focaccia was too dense for my tastes), mushroom truffle crostini (way too salty), the flatbread with sliced kielbasa (was fine), halloume (table favorite ), tinned sardines in lemon oil (delicious), tinned smoked trout (my favorite). Overall the four of us were very full at the end of the meal! The space itself felt very relaxing and rustic, and definitely got busier as the night went on (we got there at 6:50 and left around 9). The service was also fast and attentive - even for the amount of tables they were serving. Overall - I'd definitely go back again, and maybe just focus on the wine and another tinned fish selection!

Thank you to my lovely friend who spent who knows how long trying to get a reservation here. Chilled celtuce (4/5): is it a combination of celery and lettuce? idk but it kinda reminded me of radish, with a clean/slightly bland flavor but it had this hydrating quality to it and a nice crunch. Sesame shao bing (5/5): a literal drug in the most innocuous and tasty form of flatbread. It has the crispiest flake on the outside with a perfectly chewy doughiness to it and a literal slab of butter inside, which melts in real time (careful not to go too ham and let it dribble down your arms and get all over your clothes...because it's just THAT good). Sweet & sour short rib (4/5): the cook on these short ribs were super tender, I just think the marinade was very strong, with a particularly vinegary aroma. Eight treasure rice pudding with sticky toffee (4/5): she's a 4 only because I don't like toffee, but the rice pudding was hands down heavenly. Service was solid, and they have a chic, dim ambience for the tables inside whereas the outdoor seating sits underneath the lanterns and soaks up the streets of Chinatown, so each have a merit of its own.

They also have shared tables, so we sat with another couple. Huge wine selection. Everything we ate was delicious. To me, the Celtuce is more of a novelty - cool, yummy, fresh but small. The crudo was the same thing. So in my opinion, I don't think it's worth the money. The noodles were so good we got 2 orders of it - you cannot skip!! The dessert was also unlike anything I've had before. If you love sticky rice and caramel/toffee, you have to try it.
