My husband and I visited Scarlet Rose Bistro for the first time and had a great experience! It's a small place, but very quaint with dimmed lights and a romantic setting. We sat a high top table near the bar and although a bit noisy, we could still easily hear one another and converse. For cocktails, I had the Scarlet Rose and my husband had the espresso martini and opted for no Baileys. The espresso martini had a bit of a cinnamon flavor, which he really liked. The Scarlet rose is made with Prosecco and has rose petals on top. It's a very pretty drink. Our meals were fantastic! I had the sage chicken and risotto, which was the perfect portion size and had such great flavor! My husband had the surf and turf special, which he said was very good. For dessert, we shared the pavlova, which came with lemon curd, blackberries and a raspberry reduction. It was an interesting texture, but very light and just melted in our mouths. We will definitely be back. It looks like they have patio seating in the warmer months, which I imagine is really nice. read more

What an enjoyable experience. Our server was very helpdul wuth any menu questions and suggested a white wine, which we opted to split a bottle. The entrees were delicious and presentation made it that much mode appealing. The bar is small but there was "reserved" signs on a couple seats, so good to know that's an option. and the restaurant is decorated to make it very cozy and intimate. The service was quick, friendly, and accurate. We had a reservation and were seated immediately despite arriving 15 minutes early. Our entrees of apple BBQ ribs and chicken piccata were outstanding. Since my last visit, they have added a lot more wines to their list of wines by the glass, and they say that they have a wine preservation system. I ordered a red wine and there was no hint of it having been opened and left sitting. The menu is small as are the portions. The BBQ ribs appetizer I likes so much on my last visit was no linger on the menu. I ordered Duck. Is was 4* in taste and 3* in size. The other things on the plate were all good. My wife had the Scallops & Risotto. She gave it 5*s. I ordered Strawberry Shortcake for dessert. I was disappointed. There were no fresh strawberries, the whipped cream was runny, and the biscuit was dry. I give it 3*s. They have a very nice outdoor eating area, and I wish we had eaten there because of the noise level inside. There are wood walls and wood ceiling which create extremely high sound levels for an area with so few people. I prefer normal level tables as opposed to high tables. What I didn't realize was that the high tables (and bar) had padded stools while the regular tables had uncomfortable chairs with no padding. I will go with a padded stool next time. We were seated on time on a busy weekend, had a delightful and competent waitress, ordered delicious seasonal cocktails ( so good we each had 2) and, as is our custom, ordered food we don't make ourselves. Calimari as a starter. Then, one dinner consisting of duck with a seasonal pumpkin risotto and Brussel sprouts. All were very good. The risotto is out of this world. This is important because neither of us is a pumpkin fan! The other meal was shellfish and chorizo in a delicious seasoned broth accompanied by grilled bread for dipping. Dessert was tempting, but we were delightfully full, so we passed. How good was the risotto? We're returning tomorrow night! read more

Fully enjoyed my experience at Scarlet Rose Bistro. It was the perfect ending yo a long rainy day. The chk Buffalo wontons were great as we're the duck drumettes. The jalepeno poppers were very tasty, the only complaint is I wanted more, it only came with 4. I had the beef short ribs, and oh my so good. The Cranberry added the perfect hint of sweetness. The mussels and chorizo had me sopping up the delicious broth. The seafood pasta was great and the ribs were awesome!. The service was outstanding! I'd definitely return. read more

Our first visit was not good. We tried again tonight over a year later. The attention to detail on the food and the drinks was outstanding. The drink menu and tap selection is diverse and the bartender on duty was terrific. I ordered Caesar salad with grilled chicken. It was small for the price, but it was delicious. I was going to try this place and I was dining alone and there's nobody there and where I wanted to sit because it was a four top- they wanted to move me to a smaller table and there's nobody in the establishment . It's unacceptable so I left.. is only 4:4:40pm and there were lots of tables if a bunch people arrived. If I am spending a lot for dinner I want to be comfortable. New business in town and our first visit. Really beautiful bistro. Service is excellent and the food is wonderful. While not a huge menu its more than adequate. Really good wine selection and a great beer selection for those, like me, who don't drink wine. Bar counter and back of bar is amazing. Bathrooms are spotless. Can't believe it isn't busier. Great service, Jayme was very funny, knowledgeable, and kind. Nice places to sit inside and outside was pretty too. I really enjoy this place. Bar is nice, always quiet and comfortable when I go. (I generally only go during the week and kind of early) Sadie the bar manager is amazing. Friendly, funny, professional and makes great cocktails (my favorites are the Manhattan and the expresso martinis) Never had a bad meal, my go to is the scallops and risotto, but everything else I have tried on the menu has been really great as well. read more

Food and server Jamie were excellent, 5 star, but hostess was not accommodating. 2nd time we have eaten here and the second time we have struggles with reservations with the hostess. 1st time we were give a time limit on table, even though restaurant was not busy, second time we were running 15 minutes late and when we called to inform them, hostess said to get there as quick as possible and they would try to squeeze us in, when we arrived only 10 min late, there were hardly any other customers. Scarlet Rose is the best place for a date!! We absolutely loved all of the different menu items we've tried so far - that street corn app is amazing as is the steak, burger, mini taco apps, etc. The owners did a beautiful job decorating and everything is so fresh and clean, so you know the kitchen is too. Most of the time, places with smaller than average menus have the best food because of what they focus on and that is certainly the case with this bistro. They've done a wonderful job with the outdoor area too! Our waiter Jamie was super friendly and accommodating- couldn't have asked for better service overall! If you're curious and around the area, definitely head on in-- the prices are affordable and standard to similar restaurants. Looking forward to heading back soon! Scarlet Rose Bistro is a little gem. We try to go there often because we want them to be successful and stay in business! Really nice menu with dishes that are creative and not run of the mill. High quality, interesting food. They have very good servers who are attentive and know the menu and can make recommendations. Scarlet Rose is small, so it isn't so loud in there that you can't hold a conversation with the people at your table. Thank goodness. It is often quite busy, so make a reservation. read more

Really impressed. Our server was informative and attentive, and extremely knowledgeable about the menu. Our food was great, especially the special chimichurri NY strip with corn salad and chard. We also devoured the street corn appetizer. The chocolate strawberry cake was very good as well. The ambiance is warm, welcoming and bustling while being quiet enough to have a conversation. We felt the price was very reasonable, especially when considering the service and unique offerings of the Scarlet Rose Bistro. Overall, we will be back, we will invite friends, and we will make a reservation again since the seating is limited. Great job Scarlet Rose. Edit! The decor is beautiful. Miles above anything locally. The service is exceptional. Sat at the bar with great service, but noticed those having table service were well tended to, also. The food was great. The braised short rib was full of flavor. Excellent and recommended. A real plus is the lack of TV's which seem to be in every place locally. Here you can sit with friends and enjoy a quality meal or a beverage. The only suggestion would be the garlic smashed potatoes and rosemary vegetables could use a little more garlic and rosemary to stand up to the wonderful flavor of the short rib. So we stopped in for lunch, I have been dying to try this place. The restaurant is so pretty and our server/bartender was sweet but the food. It took about 45 minutes to get our panini and fries, it was a chicken club panini. It was terrible, it was a small chicken breast stuck in the middle of some grilled bread with peppers smoked bacon etc, the fries were ice cold. I ordered one glass of wine and it was $20.00. I did not eat my food but was still charged for it, no one came over, just here is your bill, save yourself the time, go for drinks definitely but there are much better places in the area to eat. read more
