Came in here wanting one cookie. Ended up coming out with 3 different types. Not all pictured here because I had already eaten them . My favorite was the sweet and salty cookie which had peanut butter, chips, pretzels, and chocolate. It was DELICIOUS and texture was incredible.
I have a sweet tooth and this spot was utterly amazing. Honestly, I had never heard of the place before. My wife and I were walking around and we saw this establishment with a huge line out of the door. Out of curiosity, I checked to see what they served. When J realized it was cookies, I quickly stood on line. The wait was fairly reasonable. It only took about 10 minutes to order and get food. The cookies are absolutely delicious. We ended up ordering 6 different cookies to try out a variety and we loved them all! I will absolutely be returning here soon.
Huge tasty cookies for fair price These cookies are massive, and with good thickness on it too. Its not tall, but it's fairly thick. A bit on the sweeter side than I would like, but still a good treat. I shared mine with 2 others and we still couldn't finish. Very sweet and heavy. Service was friendly and quick. The lady ahead of me had trouble deciding what she wanted, but I saw the staff was really patient and tried to help her come to a decision. Inside is a bit small, mostly a take out spot from what I recall seeing. There might have been some window seats if I remember correctly
First time trying Schmackary's and I loved it! I ordered both the Banana Split cookie and the S'mores bar brownie. The banana split cookie was my favorite - it had banana, pineapple, strawberry, and caramel drizzle. The s'mores bar was pretty good too, but I felt the marshmallow part could have been more. There are 3 barstools for seating, otherwise it's more of a grab and go style. The staff working was friendly and patient while I figured out what I wanted to get. I'd definitely get the banana split cookie again!!
Small decadent cookie store that has so many good choices . I selected the Ginger Roger's cookie. It was delicious! And if you are a fan of Ginger - this is your cookie . There is a small section to sit down. And some cute photo ops . The employee that helped me had amazing energy - makes the experience even better.
Stopped here after dinner for a couple cookies for the road. Small place, limited indoor seating during colder months. Several rotating flavors - friendly staff that handled the crowd. Ordered a PB cup, sugar cookie frosted, and red velvet. All cookies were really good and chewy as well as fresh. Would really recommend it here.
Yummy cookies! Tiny place with only a few seats. Line can be out the door. Haven't had a cookie I didn't like! I had a bacon one last time I was there. We usually buy a half a dozen.
The moment you walk in, it smells like sugary sweets. It's amazing! The place is clean and the food smells AMAZING. The staff were quick and super friendly.

I've had three cookies from Schmackary's to date and will list them in order from favorite to least favorite, as I would my children if I had them: Sweet corn: I can't believe this is my favorite. It contains actual pieces of corn, and pecans, and dried cranberries, like most of Thanksgiving smushed up into a cookie. And yet this little guy is actually a revelation. It's kinda a sugar cookie, kinda corn bread. It's sweet, salty, chewy, and a little crunchy on the outside. It's great. Funfetti: A schmackary's classic. The sugar cookie is amazing, of course. The icing is a very creamy, quite sweet, and addictive vanilla. Sprinkles abound. The sugar rush is palpable. There's also a nice salty note, which I always love with cookies and did appreciate here, though the grains of salt were big and almost a little distracting. Strawberries and cream: still liked this one, just not as much as the other two. It had little freeze-dried bits of strawberries and white chocolate icing on top. I also have tried their cold brew, which is a little bit cinnamony/chocolatey itself. It's pricey, though.
We tried Schmackary's cookies while visiting friends who absolutely raved about them and generously shared some with us. I had high expectations going in, but honestly, I've had better cookies. That said, it's very possible this was because the cookies were a day old. They were a bit hard and didn't have that fresh baked softness I usually love. It made me realize these are probably best enjoyed fresh in the store, which surprised me a bit since they also ship nationwide. With that in mind, I can see how they would be much better right after they're baked. I'd be open to trying them again next time I'm in New York City, or San Diego since that location would be closer for me, to see how they compare when they're fresh.
Chocolate chip cookie was my favorite. The funfetti one was just too sweet and I didn't particularly like the pumpkin one. Would definitely recommend chocolate chip.

Tasty, tasty, tasty... trust me! In fact, if you're in the area and looking for a quick dessert fix, do not pass this place up. Their cookies are super tender and tasty! They feature your run-of-the-mill cookie flavors like chocolate chip, etc... but they also feature a number of unique varieties like maple bacon, carrot cake, and so forth. ALL delicious, I might add! Note that If you're a fan of crispy cookies, then go somewhere else. However, if you're like me and prefer the soft-baked variety, then hit this place up... pronto! read more
In the pantheon of baked goods, I think cookies have one of the most universal appeals out there. I think I have yet to meet anyone who doesn't appreciate a good cookie, and good cookies are what Schmackary's is all about! One of the newer additions to the Hell's Kitchen area, their store front is made up of classic paintings that recall a bygone era when you ate your cookies with milk and didn't worry about the calorie count! I've tried two cookies here so far: the red velvet and the maple bacon. The red velvet was very tasty and soft, but I found the frosting overwhelmed the cookie a bit. However, I'm a bit more sensitive to sweet than most so this may just be me. The maple bacon is my favorite of the two. It's a fantastic combination of sweet maple flavors with salty, savory and smokey bacon. The bacon doesn't overwhelm the sweetness (thank goodness) and I'd happily eat this every day if it didn't mean gaining 20 pounds! The staff here is super friendly and willing to answer questions about what's what. There isn't a lot of room inside to stand, but there are some areas to stand at to enjoy your treat! I know I'll visit Schmackary's again and I'd say they're definitely off to a good start! read more

You WANT to love this place, but you can't - you just can't. Both the red velvet and maple bacon cookies weren't as good as we hoped. - Maple bacon: way too salty (and I have a sweet/salty tooth!) - Red velvet: has chunks of chocolate in it but it was too hard to eat (it was crunchy!). Luckily we had it as an ice cream sandwich (you can get any cookie as a sandwich btw) so the ice cream complimented the cookie and made it a little softer, but the cookie alone was just too heavy! + Mint mojito: this was our favorite! It was soft, chewy and had the right amount of flavor! Also, if you opt for the ice cream sandwich you're stuck with 1 ice cream flavor - vanilla. Playing it safe maybe? Ehh - who knows. Loved it here. They sell big massive cookies. Even have deals. 6 for $14. It is a little cramped inside. But the cookies are delicious. I got the regular chocolate chip and a peppermint cookie. Both tasty and crunchy. Staff is really helpful and peppy. I'll definitely stop by again to try more. read more
COOKIES for the sweet tooths & the savory tooths... wait what?! yup even ppl who like their salty can enjoy at Schmakary's because of the maple BACON cookie SO MANY to choose from & they all sound so UNIQUE but i went w/ the one cookie that made them famous --maple bacon cookie: even for a sweet tooth, I didn't mind the salty in here since it was subtle & balanced the maple! my gripe is that the cookie was too chewy, almost hard so that my jaw hurt afterwards! --oatmeal scotchie: softer but still not my cup of cookie $2.75 per cookie (kind of pricey).. i'm sure i could find a flavor i like but the trek is just so far! Only in NYC would there be this type of cookie store that's open most nights until midnight. If your in the area and feel like something sweet? Fro-you isn't gonna do it. You need a schmack! I walk into an empty store and tell the girl, well smack me down! (She doesn't smile at my jesting) I order two cookies for my son and I, The Maple Bacon as well as the Sweet Corn cookie. Now most people would say, really? The most boring flavor in the shop, corn doesn't = dessert and shouldn't be in a cookie! Hush your mouth! Corn is something that the American indians have used waaay before we traded them a few blankets for the Island of Manhattan. Are you gonna hate on history?? Besides it sounded different, its made with corn flour / cornmeal, sweet corn and pecans. Sounds like a party to me! I order a coffee and take a bite of the Maple Bacon cookie. Friggin awesome! Salty, savory and sweet. Makes for a fine and dandy cookie. The two cookies for $5 bucks is a great deal. Also, don't pass on the coffee. they have a good blend that's roasted locally. Came here on a Saturday night to pick up some dessert - didnt realize how popular it was! The line went out the door given the small space and I had to wait for about 15 minutes which wasn't too bad. It was my first time there so it was plenty of time to figure out what I wanted. I got the funfetti, chocolate duet, sweet corn, maple bacon, peanut butter and pumpkin patch. The funfetti has a nice birthday cake taste to it with a slightly creamy and chewy texture. The chocolate duet is good but nothing special. I'd say get it only if you're craving something chocolatey but there are more unique and awesome cookies to try from. Similar vibe with the peanut butter cookie. The sweet corn is interesting and surprisingly good. It's one of the more soft cookies with a subtle sweetness to it. There's also a good salty taste to it which actually works well. The maple bacon was also pretty good as well and same with the pumpkin patch. They fit very well into the whole fall theme and if you want something more seasonal and special. Last thing I got was the vanilla milkshake with a cookie infusion of funfetti which was delicious! The milkshake itself is rather small but had nice chunks of cookie at the bottom that are soaked in milkshake making it even more flavorful and great. read more
I get my cookie fix here. Even if you wait late hours you can get buy one get one. I was able to try four cookies for the price of two!!! If your in the area and want some cookies make sure you stop by. It's in Hell's Kitchen. Also very close to time square to walk. This place makes mind-blowing you good cookies. There are approx. 10 flavors available on a given day. My favorite is the funfetti. It is a sugar cookie on steroids and prettier. Also, the carrot cake cookie is a mystical combination into cookie form. Cookies are 2/$6 and a solid size for the price. If your up for a milkshake...you can add a cookie to it! Bring on the sugar rush and good vibes. It is a small shop so plan to take the cookies out onto the street or standing at a small bar in the shop. read more
I try to stop by this place whenever I'm in the area. Their cookies are so rich and delicious. They also have a lot of flavors available. If you're gluten free, you're also in luck. They always have at least 1 gf option available. And don't think that because it's gluten free that it tastes like crap. No way. This is going to be one of the best gf cookies you've had. This time, my friend got a pumpkin cookie and an apple caramel. She really liked her selections which both had gooey centers. I chose the rice krispy treat which had front loops and fruity pebbles in it. It was unbelievably yummy. Maybe next time I'll only eat half of it....but probably not. That thing is huge! read more
I discovered this place as I was walking to dinner across the street. We came here for dessert after eating dinner. We got 12 cookies for $25. They're pretty big. I got the funfetti, chocolate chip and chocolate duet. Boy, are they filling!!! Unfortunately they were out of the peanut butter cookies. Another option was cookies and cream. The cookies were soooo good! I'm glad I don't live nearby- I'd be rolling around everywhere haha! My sister and cousin live up the block so whenever I'm in the area I plan to get my cookie fix at Schmackary's! read more

Found Schmackary's on Yelp because I needed an after dinner pick-me-up. There was a line out the door when we arrived, but the smell of freshly baked cookies lured us in. Thankfully, the line moved pretty fast, and we were able to get in and out to make our 8PM show with no problem! My friend and I split an ice cream sandwich, which is big enough to be shared between 2-3 folks. I've had custom made ice cream sandwiches before, but nothing quite like the ones they make at Schmackary's. The cookies are large and the ice cream scoops are generous!! You get to choose ANY two of the variety of cookies they have in the display case for your sandwich, even the special ones with frosting and sprinkles *insert heart eyes here*. They make a mean latte too! Definitely the dessert place to check out if you are in the area for dinner! :9 As an aside, our exchange with the 'kid' behind the counter: My friend - 'hey do you know of any bars around here?' Kid - 'I just moved here, but I can ask him' (nods at guy behind him) Friend - 'Wait, you are 21 right?' Kid - 'I'm 20..' Am I a cookie connoisseur or just a lover of all things cookie? Let's be real... both. These cookies are solid. Crunchy outside and soft on the inside. I tried five different cookies and all were great. I could detail out which flavors I had but let's be real, if five were good, I'm going to guess they all are. If you are in the area, definitely stop by. The line moves fast so don't let that deter you. They know what they're doing when it comes to making cookies and keeping things moving. Ok. Stopped by for dessert and the line was out the door. Since it was close to 11:30pm they only had a few varieties of cookies remaining. We tried the funfetti, monster, lucky charms, and cookies and cream. They were good but super sweet. read more

The place is very authentic with a unique NYC vibe. However, my delicious looking shmuckerdoodle was waaaay to heavily covered with cinnamon. The ratio was just off. Perhaps it could have been just this one cookie. But for the price, it's a mistake I cannot forgive. read more
Schmackary's sounds exactly the way it tastes: LIP SCHMACKIN' GOOD. It's a quaint little cookie spot nestled in the middle of the Theater District/Hell's kitchen area, with cookie flavors that change daily, and super sweet staff (but then again, who wouldn't be sweet working in a dessert shop?). They have flavors that range anywhere from simple like chocolate chip and red velvet, to slightly eccentric ones like green tea, and everything in between to cater to all types of the sweet teeth out there in this big city. Being a bit ADD when I let gluttony get the best of me, I settled on the kitchen sink bar. I had it once upon a time before and remembered it being good. Yes. Yes it was. From the flavors to the textures, it's literally EVERYTHING in a bar, so I guess that's better than consuming 10 different cookies, like an all-in-one special? I also had the privilege to try the sch'mores, chocolate covered pretzel, and peanut butter cup cookies, all of which are scrumptious, obviously. No matter what you order, everything is made with care and high quality ingredients- you can see it and you can taste it. On top of that, they offer coffee and espresso as well as milk if you want to get super fancy with your cookie consumption. Just remember to keep your pinky up! Would recommend going at least 1-2 hours before close. They run out of flavors and it's disappointing. Customer service also bad- one worker told me there are no more cookies coming out (as it 30 minutes before close) and after purchasing, she brought out two trays of another flavor cookie (the oat one). Won't be back for the m&m or pistachio. I was excited for the vegan flavor and oat one but the vegan one ran out. read more

Smells like heaven! Quaint little shop so right when you walk in you're already in line by all the cookies. It was my last day here so I bought a ton to bring back to friends in cali. Cookies: - Sch'mores - Red Velvet - Maple Bacon - Oatmeal Scotchie (my fave!) The day old cookies are so worth it too! They're cheaper but still taste as great. The cookies were huge and definitely worth the price. They were seat but not too sweet to the point where I couldn't finish the cookie. Great location in Hells Kitchen too. read more

Love the milkshake blended with one of their delicious cookies. We definitely hit a home run choosing the Funfetti cookie blended with vanilla ice cream. Slight gripe is there were too many large cookie bits, so big that they didn't even fit in the large bubble tea type straw. Chunkiness is great, I love getting a large chunk in milkshakes, but these were a bit too big. Fluffer Nutter cookie was excellent too. If you're a peanut butter fan, get it. I wasn't thrilled about the Cookies and Cream flavor, though. Can't quite put my finger on it but there was something off tasting in the cookie. With so many other creative options, I'd like to come back and taste more. read more

I happened to be in the area and was looking for a nice affordable desert when I looked up online and found this place! When I walked in I saw that I could get 2 cookies for $5, perfect enough to try out the place and satisfy my hunger. It was around 9:20 and I must've come in at a good time because a bunch of people came almost immediately after I purchased them. So for the cookies, first I chose White Island. White Island is a cookie made with White Chocolate, Macadamia Nuts and Sweetened Coconut. The ingredients were fairly balanced and I was pleasantly surprised that the coconut flavor wasn't as strong as I expected it to be. It was fairly soft and easy to eat and was a decent size. The cookie was so delicious, I didn't even have time to take a picture of it! For my second cookie, I wasn't sure if I wanted to get Key Lime or Maple Bacon but the staff was very friendly and recommended Maple Bacon! If you're a bacon lover, this is the cookie for you. It tended to lean more towards bacon than maple when I tasted it but I was okay with it because I enjoyed the cookie! I can't wait to return in the future and try two more cookies. read more

My boyfriend was in disbelief that there was a long line for cookies on a Tuesday night at 5:30PM. He was wondering why people would wait for cookies. Well, people in NYC love their desserts (myself included), so I would gladly wait in line for these cookies again. They're really large, and each cookie is about $2.50 or so depending on how many cookies you buy. A lot of them have frosting on the cookies, like the red velvet, cookie dough, etc. which I think make it taste extra delicious. The red velvet one I ate was a bit soft in the middle, and I even tasted a bit of salt in the cookies as well. I'm not sure if this was the best cookie in the entire universe, but it was tasty. The chocolate explosion was incredibly rich and dense. It was very chocolately and very sweet. The chocolate chip was quite soft in the middle and had a decent amount of salt on it. The chocolate chip cookie dough one was also soft in the middle and had a nice amount of frosting on top. read more
Yummy bakery/dessert bar located in Hell's Kitchen. Probably THE best chocolate chip cookie I've ever had! Everything is prepared fresh, I watched them bring out trays of 12 cookies at a time as the supply for a particular flavor became low. My cookie was still warm and gooey inside. They had about 12 choices for cookie flavors, plus variations of rice crispy treats and some other various brownie/dessert bars. They also have coffee, hot chocolate, lattes, etc. Not many tables inside, but we snagged a table for 2 to enjoy our late night treats. Bad thing is, by late evening, there are slim pickings as far as flavors. Good news is, they do a buy one get one free deal at closing time to finish up their inventory for the night. Nice knowing that nothing is served day-old there. I got 2 maple bacon cookies to take home (nice balance of salty and sweet). Cookies are $2.75 each, 2 for $5, 6 for $14 or a dozen for $24. read more
My friend and I stopped in here after dinner and right before we headed to see an off Broadway show. I had this spot bookmarked forever and saw it was within walking distance from where we were in the City. The line was long but moved fairly quickly. I ordered the sweet corn and green tea cookies that were both really tasty and fulfilling. I ate those cookies over two days because they were very rich. They had a menu of items you can choose on a board that you can see from the line, but when you get to the counter you see additional items and get confused over what you want because all of the cookies look so darn good. I will definitely return to enjoy some other tasty treats. read more

My sister lives in New York and talks about Schmackary's like it's her best friend from high school. Examples: Her: I'm heading over to Schmackary's tonight! Her: Schmackary's is the best. Her: Want to go over to Schmackary's after the show? After visiting her and trying the S'Mores and Birthday Cake flavors, I finally understand why. They're amazing. They're fresh, hot, unique and honestly, I feel like I'm still describing a person. You'll have to try it out for yourself! read more

Do they sell chocolate covered bacon and is it good?
I don’t recall seeing it. Sounds good though.
Do they have edible cookie dough?
I was there a year ago, and at that time they did not have edible cookie dough.
How long do the cookies stay fresh? If I do nationwide shipping will the quality of the cookie still be there?
I'd say for about 4 days if wrapped tightly. I've softened them in the microwave slightly after 5 days and they still tasted great!
What time of day are these cookies freshest?
