Came in here wanting one cookie. Ended up coming out with 3 different types. Not all pictured here because I had already eaten them . My favorite was the sweet and salty cookie which had peanut butter, chips, pretzels, and chocolate. It was DELICIOUS and texture was incredible.
I have a sweet tooth and this spot was utterly amazing. Honestly, I had never heard of the place before. My wife and I were walking around and we saw this establishment with a huge line out of the door. Out of curiosity, I checked to see what they served. When J realized it was cookies, I quickly stood on line. The wait was fairly reasonable. It only took about 10 minutes to order and get food. The cookies are absolutely delicious. We ended up ordering 6 different cookies to try out a variety and we loved them all! I will absolutely be returning here soon.
Huge tasty cookies for fair price These cookies are massive, and with good thickness on it too. Its not tall, but it's fairly thick. A bit on the sweeter side than I would like, but still a good treat. I shared mine with 2 others and we still couldn't finish. Very sweet and heavy. Service was friendly and quick. The lady ahead of me had trouble deciding what she wanted, but I saw the staff was really patient and tried to help her come to a decision. Inside is a bit small, mostly a take out spot from what I recall seeing. There might have been some window seats if I remember correctly
First time trying Schmackary's and I loved it! I ordered both the Banana Split cookie and the S'mores bar brownie. The banana split cookie was my favorite - it had banana, pineapple, strawberry, and caramel drizzle. The s'mores bar was pretty good too, but I felt the marshmallow part could have been more. There are 3 barstools for seating, otherwise it's more of a grab and go style. The staff working was friendly and patient while I figured out what I wanted to get. I'd definitely get the banana split cookie again!!
Small decadent cookie store that has so many good choices . I selected the Ginger Roger's cookie. It was delicious! And if you are a fan of Ginger - this is your cookie . There is a small section to sit down. And some cute photo ops . The employee that helped me had amazing energy - makes the experience even better.
Stopped here after dinner for a couple cookies for the road. Small place, limited indoor seating during colder months. Several rotating flavors - friendly staff that handled the crowd. Ordered a PB cup, sugar cookie frosted, and red velvet. All cookies were really good and chewy as well as fresh. Would really recommend it here.
Yummy cookies! Tiny place with only a few seats. Line can be out the door. Haven't had a cookie I didn't like! I had a bacon one last time I was there. We usually buy a half a dozen.
The moment you walk in, it smells like sugary sweets. It's amazing! The place is clean and the food smells AMAZING. The staff were quick and super friendly.

I've had three cookies from Schmackary's to date and will list them in order from favorite to least favorite, as I would my children if I had them: Sweet corn: I can't believe this is my favorite. It contains actual pieces of corn, and pecans, and dried cranberries, like most of Thanksgiving smushed up into a cookie. And yet this little guy is actually a revelation. It's kinda a sugar cookie, kinda corn bread. It's sweet, salty, chewy, and a little crunchy on the outside. It's great. Funfetti: A schmackary's classic. The sugar cookie is amazing, of course. The icing is a very creamy, quite sweet, and addictive vanilla. Sprinkles abound. The sugar rush is palpable. There's also a nice salty note, which I always love with cookies and did appreciate here, though the grains of salt were big and almost a little distracting. Strawberries and cream: still liked this one, just not as much as the other two. It had little freeze-dried bits of strawberries and white chocolate icing on top. I also have tried their cold brew, which is a little bit cinnamony/chocolatey itself. It's pricey, though.
We tried Schmackary's cookies while visiting friends who absolutely raved about them and generously shared some with us. I had high expectations going in, but honestly, I've had better cookies. That said, it's very possible this was because the cookies were a day old. They were a bit hard and didn't have that fresh baked softness I usually love. It made me realize these are probably best enjoyed fresh in the store, which surprised me a bit since they also ship nationwide. With that in mind, I can see how they would be much better right after they're baked. I'd be open to trying them again next time I'm in New York City, or San Diego since that location would be closer for me, to see how they compare when they're fresh.
Chocolate chip cookie was my favorite. The funfetti one was just too sweet and I didn't particularly like the pumpkin one. Would definitely recommend chocolate chip.

Such a cute spot! The staff was very friendly and inviting once you walk in! They were happy to give information on all menu items. We got 3 cookies and they were all delicious and pretty big! I actually didn't eat one of them until 2 days later and it was STILL fresh and soft! Absolutely worth the stop. They also had cute swag like water bottles and mugs that would be great gifts or personal items. read more

We came here close to closing and there was a literal line out the door so we had high hopes. There was a good selection of cookies but we went with classics. Maybe this was a mistake. I don't know but these cookies were not worth the wait in line. They tasted like generic grocery store, too sweet cookies. We also had a brownie and while it was moist and fluffy it tasted very generic and boxed. Definitely don't recommend if you're a foodie. read more

The smores cookie itself deserves five stars, but I docked two for the milkshake + the service (mostly the service....). First, the great: GET THE SMORES. The lightly roasted marshmallow fluff atop a chunky chocolate cover, I'm just dreaming about it bonus: there's a little basket of day-old cookies and treats that are between $1-2, so I'll definitely stop in if I'm up early on a Sunday morning. The malted milkshake was alright, I'd rather go to Shake Shack a few blocks down for the same price. Even though there were only a couple of people behind us, the cashier seemed so annoyed to take our order, and even though we ordered without hesitation, a normal order seemed like a stressful, rushed endeavor, not sure why. Quick, lots of choices, open late, sweet tooth satisfying. Stopped by after dinner so was around 11ish, they still had a decent selection. Got the classic chocolate chip and cookies and cream... just the way I like my cookies, semi soft but the edges are crunchy! First bite of the classic, just sweet enough then comes the sea salt! We did the vegan cookie from there and it was pretty good. I can't speak for the other cookies, but they have one began cookie per day. I'd say it was tasty, but slightly dry. I'd definitely go there again, because it was good, I've just had slightly better vegan cookies. read more
Stopped by this small little cookie shop on the way home. There was a line out the door and only two employees taking orders so the line moved relatively slow. They offer a decent variety of flavors which changes every month. I ordered two cookies, one Cookies & Cream and one White Chocolate Cherry Chunker. The cookies weren't hot when I received them but I ordered my cookies to go and was able to warm them up a little bit before enjoying them. The Cookies & Cream was rich and chocolate-y and the cream cheese frosting paired very nicely with the chocolate flavor. The White Chocolate Cherry Chunker was oatmeal based and very reminiscent of an oatmeal raisin cookie. The white chocolate paired nicely with the cherry. The sweetness level was just right for me. The cookies were both crunchy on the circumference and chewy on the interior. Consuming them warm definitely made all the difference. If you're lucky enough to catch a fresh batch, eat them right away! read more

Begun as an online business in 2011 and moved to a 45h Street Brick and Mortar location by 2015 it is from Nebraska-born Zachary Schmahl that Schmackary's came to New York, the idea to bake Cookies just down the street from Levain intrepid but still paying off over three years later even as other places such have Chip have recently entered the market. Eponymous for Schmahl's nickname and homey from day one, a small seating area with newspapers just left of the counter lined in Cookies, Muffins, Scones and more, it is immediately on entry that guests are welcomed by tantalizing smells and pleasant service while prices trend lower than average for The Big Apple. Offering a rotating selection of flavors beginning at 8am daily, the Christmas Holiday yielding two seasonal specials, it was after some debate that six of thirteen Cookies were selected in addition to one Coffee Cake, all of them still warm to touch and the latter moist yet dainty in the form of a Muffin with ribbons of Cinnamon-Sugar and caramelized Pecans adding crunch. Cozy and surprisingly busy just thirty minutes after opening, many grabbing items to go but some choosing to linger over Coffee, it was progressing left to right from a box that Cookies kicked off with Red Velvet, the crispy edge and soft center textbook while White Chocolate Chips and rustic Cream Cheese Frosting helped balance the Cocoa. Moving next to Bacon Chocolate Chip and then Mexican Hot Chocolate, both texturally similar from edge-to-center and the former quite salty, it was by way of "Dirty Peppermint" that Cayenne was countered before moving on to a glazed Ginngersnap, the use of Black Pepper to magnify Cloves and Ginger frankly brilliant while the Super "C" selected by an 11-year-old punched also punched above its weight-class thanks to granules of Sea Salt on top. read more
Stopped in after a matinee show close by at around 5 on a Saturday and the line was just past the door, but the space isn't that big so long lines aren't that hard to start. Tried the chocolate chip cookie as a baseline assessment. I enjoyed it as it had a nice balance between crunchy and chewy, and wasn't overly sweet. Somehow they didn't have their apple cider or hot chocolate available at that time but their drip coffee was fine as a basic hot beverage to have with a cookie. There are literally mixed reviews for their other cookies, but I'd go back to give those other flavors a shot. read more
I love Schmackary's. Their cookies are warm and fresh. I recommend getting your cookie warmed up when you buy it. The line can be a bit long but it doesn't take longer than 10 minutes. A fun dessert spot in HK for friends! read more
It's a great concept - all cookies, all the time. I tried the corn cookie (delicious) and the bacon maple cookie (just ok - mine was dry and no bacon flavor at all). The price of the cookies is pretty high - 3.25 for one largish cookie it a bit much. However, I see the draw for this place. Coffee was really good. read more
I was excited to finally try Schmackary's cookies. My friend and I got their Caramel Delight cookie and Maple Bacon cookie to share, but they were both alright to me. The cookies tasted very sweet and I could only taste subtle flavors of the ingredients in each of the cookies. I could barely taste the coconut toffee bits in the Caramel Delight cookie and the bacon bits in the Maple Bacon cookies were not enough. I think this is a decent shop for cookies and I like that it does offer a wide range of delicious and unique flavors, but I don't think this place lives up to the hype or stands out from other numerous pastry or cookie stores in NYC. read more

Such a good cookie place just wish they had a few more flavors! I got the hummingbird one and was surprised with how delicious it was because it had a random mix of ingredients I never thought would be good together! Super fast service also and the staff was very friendly. read more

Stopped for my usual cookie. The person behind the counter let us know they were having buy one get one free cookies! Always great when that happens. It might have been because they were near closing time, but not sure. My husband and I ordered our usual classic chocolate chip cookies and took them to go. They had just brought out a fresh batch, so they were nice and warm! They have a small seating area in front of the store and luckily we were able to grab a table. This spot gets a good amount of traffic, so there can sometimes be a small line to get in. read more

If you're looking for a quick and easy dessert to quench your sweet tooth, Schmackary's is the perfect place. All their cookies are baked fresh and look absolutely amazing. I only got to try the one flavor but I hope to be back soon to try the rest! read more
A cute cookie shop with even cuter cookies! I got the red velvet cookie and the gingerbread cookie and really enjoyed both. The cookies are a crunchier texture on the outside and softer inside. The red velvet had a type of cream cheese frosting on top which added extra sweetness. The ginger cookie had little pieces of ginger inside which I thought made it really fragrant. The service was really great and the shop is clean and well organized. There is barstool seating inside but the shop is on the smaller side. read more

I asked for the two best sellers. The cookies were not impressive and I wasn't a fan of the cream on top of the cookies. Considering how many really good cookies are available in NY I would go somewhere else next time. I do like how they have a lot of vegan options! There was a paper stuck in the back of my chocolate chip cookie. read more

Schmackary's is cool. Very cozy place. I got the cookies & cream cookie and it was quite satisfying for the sugar itch I was looking to scratch. However, took like 2-3 bites and was finished with cookie due to the frosting being a bit too sweet. This is the type of cookie you nibble and come back to throughout the day, I'd probably feel sick if I ate this in one sitting. read more

I ordered a few items and I must say I really like the place the cookies are always soft and fresh tasting I have a coffee with milk was actually good and they give you a good size for the price.But one thing I will say a lot of the cookies that are not of a chocolate nature or a specific flavor A lot of the cookies taste similar I guess a lot of the cookies have the same oatmeal bars and u can taste it... but Overall the cookies are really awesome just don't be surprised if some of them if not a lot of them taste similar read more

We hiked a long way to find what my daughter insisted would be her happy place. With connections to all her favorite Broadway Actors she wouldn't let me hit the city for days without hitting this little hot spot. In the center of Hells Kitchen on the hottest of boy days, we stopped by after trekking all around town. While I expected JUST to treat her the surprise was that they had three gluten free options. Being a Jersey Girl, corn is a fav and how lucky I was to have an amazing corn cookie. We also snagged a Lucky Charms Treat to go. Get the funfetti cookie!! I usually stick to the basic chocolate chip as I'm not a huge cookie person, but decided to pick up the funfetti cookie for my sister and omg i wish I would have kept it for myself! It was very well balanced, not overly sweet, crispy on the outside but moist in the inside - perfection :) I also tried their cookies & cream which was delicious, but I would pair it with a coffee next time as it was a tad sweeter than my liking. Their cookie flavors change daily but you can always check online before stopping by if you're looking for a specific flavor. read more

Once inside the aroma of the cookies have you sold.I ended up grabbing a chocolate chip and a maple bacon. Both were amazing i wish i would have grabbed more. The location is small not much seating . Fun and cute cookie shop in Hells Kitchen. You can stop in and enjoy all the very different cookie flavors. Any cookie can be made into an ice cream sandwich! Definitely worth stopping by. read more
Good god, I cannot stop wanting to come back here to eat every single cookie. Luckily I made a good dent in the menu in just two visits here, doing most of the damage by myself while my wife watched in amazement/shame as I downed so many of these cookies, as well as the ridiculously good shakes. So far I've managed to try all of the following, in order of amazing to excellent: - Maple Bacon Cookie - Blueberry Cobbler Cookie - Caramel Apple Crisp Cookie - Peanut Butter Banana Crunch Cookies - Red Velvet Cookie All of the cookies I've tried are of a nice, healthy size, and are of an excellent consistency - chewy, soft and rich. They have the nice added gimmick of "seasonal" flavors which makes you feel the need to make sure you try them so that you don't miss out, like I always get suckered into doing. Also, do not sleep on the shakes here - I got the "The Graceland Shake" (just $5.50), which was a mind-blowing experience. It's a shake that consists of Peanut Butter, Chocolate, Bananas and Candied Bacon. I believe they literally put entire cookies into the shake after grinding them up - they give you one of those thick bubble tea straws for the shake, which is definitely required to get through it, and it makes for one of the most satisfying shake experiences you can imagine. I'll be back soon to check off 3 or 4 more cookies from my to-do list on my next visit. read more

Therapy too expensive? Go to Schmackary's instead. This place is amazing. The treats are delicious and the folks who work there are KIND. I mean really kind, and happy. We stopped by after a long day / before a Broadway show and it was seriously a mood changer. And their cookies were bomb. Just go! read more

Do they sell chocolate covered bacon and is it good?
I don’t recall seeing it. Sounds good though.
Do they have edible cookie dough?
I was there a year ago, and at that time they did not have edible cookie dough.
How long do the cookies stay fresh? If I do nationwide shipping will the quality of the cookie still be there?
I'd say for about 4 days if wrapped tightly. I've softened them in the microwave slightly after 5 days and they still tasted great!
What time of day are these cookies freshest?
