Recommended the peanut butter brownie on which I am currently noshing. Brandon, presumably on register, appealed to my greed in order to convince me to leave a review. I call that entrepreneurial. I respect it. For here I sit, typing a less than helpful review for anyone researching the quality of the treats. Which leads me to Sam. It was clear to me that Sam, the third worker behind the counter, pulled all the strings. Her silent, stoic nature told me that no shit got past her. To the Schmackary's corporation I leave one message--history and popular culture have given us many examples of dynamic trios: The Power puff girls; Regina, Gretchen and Karen; and the Teletubbies if there were only three of them. You have three powerful employees on your hands, not to be trifled with. Bestow their points, tip them well and give them respect. You can really taste the flavor and love how you get both the crunchy and soft bits due to how it was baked and how large it is. Huge tasty cookies for fair price These cookies are massive, and with good thickness on it too. Its not tall, but it's fairly thick. A bit on the sweeter side than I would like, but still a good treat. I shared mine with 2 others and we still couldn't finish. Very sweet and heavy. Service was friendly and quick. I have a sweet tooth and this spot was utterly amazing. Honestly, I had never heard of the place before. My wife and I were walking around and we saw this establishment with a huge line out of the door. Out of curiosity, I checked to see what they served. When J realized it was cookies, I quickly stood on line. The wait was fairly reasonable. It only took about 10 minutes to order and get food. The cookies are absolutely delicious. First time trying Schmackary's and I loved it! I ordered both the Banana Split cookie and the S'mores bar brownie. The banana split cookie was my favorite - it had banana, pineapple, strawberry, and caramel drizzle. The s'mores bar was pretty good too, but I felt the marshmallow part could have been more. There are 3 barstools for seating, otherwise it's more of a grab and go style. The staff working was friendly and patient while I figured out what I wanted to get. I've had three cookies from Schmackary's to date and will list them in order from favorite to least favorite, as I would my children if I had them: Sweet corn: I can't believe this is my favorite. It contains actual pieces of corn, and pecans, and dried cranberries, like most of Thanksgiving smushed up into a cookie. And yet this little guy is actually a revelation. It's kinda a sugar cookie, kinda corn bread. It's sweet, salty, chewy, and a little crunchy on the outside. It's great. Funfetti: A schmackary's classic. The sugar cookie is amazing, of course. The icing is a very creamy, quite sweet, and addictive vanilla. Sprinkles abound. The sugar rush is palpable. There's also a nice salty note, which I always love with cookies and did appreciate here, though the grains of salt were big and almost a little distracting. Strawberries and cream: still liked this one, just not as much as the other two. It had little freeze-dried bits of strawberries and white chocolate icing on top. It made me realize these are probably best enjoyed fresh in the store, which surprised me a bit since they also ship nationwide. With that in mind, I can see how they would be much better right after they're baked. Classic chocolate chip: this was what I would imagine a stereotypical homemade chocolate chip cookie to be like. Nothing crazy, not super thick like Levain, just your classic CCC. 6/10 Ginger: this had the classic gingerbread spices and a nice sugary glaze that cut the spicy flavor. 7/10 Oreo (green Elphaba): I love Oreos/cookies and cream but found this one a little too sweet with the icing. 5/10 Monkey something? Forgot the name but it's the one with the banana: this one had oats and toffee chips I think. Reminded me of banana bread. Loved the texture. 7.5/10 White chocolate macadamia: classic, nothing that particularly blew my mind. 6.5/10 I did find all of these on the sweeter side for cookies. ok so If I was to rate this off of service i'd give it a 5/5 but if we're talking about the cookies themselves then i'd sadly rate these a 2/5. We got two cookies: devil's food cake that looked like they had just come out of the oven but they hadn't been because there was icing on top. The cookie itself was dense and dry. It definitely felt like it wasn't fresh. I really wanted to like this cookie but was disappointed. I only had a bite of it. The second cookie we had was the strawberry rhubarb and while this one was better (softer texture) - it still kind of tasted like a breakfast bar but did have the mix of sweet and salty which was a nice touch. It just tasted very artificial and both cookies just felt like too much sugar and closer to a grocery store bought cookie. I'm sorry to say.
