Culture Espresso in the Garment District is one of those rare coffee spots that feels both effortlessly cool and perfectly comforting -- a true haven in the heart of Midtown. From the moment you step inside, you're greeted by the rich aroma of expertly brewed coffee and a vibe that's equal parts relaxed and energized. Whether you're grabbing your morning espresso on the go or settling in with your laptop for a productive afternoon, Culture Espresso strikes that sweet balance between efficiency and atmosphere. The coffee itself is excellent -- bold, nuanced, and undeniably well-crafted. Every cup feels like it was made with intention, and the baristas clearly know their craft. Pair your drink with one of their fresh, house-made cookies or pastries, and you've got a combo that's hard to beat. What really sets Culture Espresso apart, though, is the staff. Friendly, attentive, and genuinely enthusiastic about what they're serving, they make every visit feel welcoming and personal. It's the kind of place where you can walk in as a stranger and leave feeling like a regular. In a neighborhood full of options, Culture Espresso stands out for its quality, character, and warm service -- a must-stop whether you're a local or just passing through the Garment District.

This coffee spot was perfection. My coworkers and I ended up coming here daily while on our work trip because it was just that good! The coffee is strong, full of flavor and depth. My favorite was the maple latte. The fresh baked cookie was soft & tasty, must try if you're going to be stopping by. The baristas here are also friendly and quite quick! Just note that there's limited seating. Can't wait till I'm back!

Nice little coffee shop, but there's not much seating. Got a latte and their famous chocolate chip cookie. It was delicious and crispy on the outside!

Cute coffee spot in fashion district. Great dirty chai and the chocolate chip cookie was worth the hype!

Chocolate chip cookie is a winner for a reason. Iced latte was good. Cold brew is lighter brew.

Came by for coffee the other day and it was a decent experience. Culture Espresso is located on 38th between 8th and 9th. Ordering was quick at the counter and my latte was ready within minutes. There were a few seats to sit and people watch while hanging out. My latte was the perfect temperature and the espresso was smooth!

Iced maple latte with oat milk is where it's at! Also, arguably the best chocolate chip cookie in the city. I had one fresh out of the oven and it was perfection. Love this location too - went around 9am on a weekday and it wasn't busy at all. So good.

Hands down the best CCC I've had. No notes. Crunchy round the edges, soft and gooey in the middle (none of that raw shit pretending to be soft though) and chewy all round. Honestly don't know what more you could ask for. Deep caramelised butter flavor with dark chocolate chips makes it not overly sweet/ indulgent. Perfect thickness. IG: Spillingthe.beans

I ordered the almond milk latte and the beans here have a slightly astringent taste, ever so slightly and I don't mind it at all as it gives the coffee a bit of depth. Warm and satisfying latte experience and I pretty much drank it in about 2 minutes. Their cookies look heavenly and they are freshly baked. I did not get one, but I'm still thinking about them. Casual. Great service. Please come and create your own adventure.

Cookie is bombbbbb. Top two cookie in the city. Didn't try the coffee but it looked good too. Service was nice and there was no line :)

Hands down the best cookie, I still dream about the first one I had wayyy back in 2018. Was in the area and had to stop in and was treated to some fresh out of the oven. UNREAL ‍ coffee is solid too A few seats are available, but definitely worth stopping and grabbing one (or three) cookies for your afternoon sugar break.

The tall window I am fond of.

I decided to give this place a try after enjoying their cookies at Eeeeeatscon this weekend... However, when I arrive at this location the service feels dismissive: the cookie was not warmed (is this even an option?), and they even filled up our cups with a full cup of ice until we asked for lighter ice just in time... and the person rolled their eyes as they did it. The tall window I am sitting in front of is the only reason I am still here writing this caption... Anyways, I am unimpressed with the service here enough to not come back to this location... but am willing to give another location a chance in the distant future when I hopefully forget how mediocre this experience was.

Yes they serve coffee. Good coffee. But hands-down the BEST chocolate chip cookie in NYC! We tried a couple new cookies this time, Korn and black and white. All delicious but the chocolate chip is the best! That Korn cookie was unique and a very close second!

I'd actually passed by this place multiple times but had no idea it was a cafe. This shop itself is more of a grab-and-go, but it might still take a while since all drinks are whisked and made to order. There isn't really space for a line to form inside, so you may need to wait outside to order (there's also a bit of a lack of room to wait for your drink once it's ordered). My strawberry matcha came out to $9.25 total, which is pretty pricey, so I expected a lot. In total, it took me around 10-ish minutes to get my drink with about 4 people in front of me. At first it took a while for our orders to get taken since the two employees were focused on getting drinks out ASAP, one person was preparing the syrups and milk, and the other was making the matcha. The matcha itself had a nice green color. I've had many strawberry matchas prior to this, and based on my experience, this place was alright. The strawberry syrup was nice and not too sweet, but I wish there was a bit more flavoring or more of it, as after two sips I couldn't taste the strawberry at all. Overall, it's a nice shop with cute trinkets around and their own products they sell, like matchas and tea sets. However, for $9, it was a lot for what the drink offered in my opinion.

And I commonly see the upstairs for private events like baby showers, bridal showers, or birthday parties on social media. After dinner with my friends, I was looking for dessert and I was glad to see this location closes relatively late on a weekday night at 11 pm. Upon walking in, I was greeted by a waiter who led us to one of the purple velvet chair booths that was perfect for two people and another waiter brought us a pitcher of water almost immediately. The menu is on a QR code already on the table and we were given ample of time to decide. My friend and I both already knew what we wanted to order. I got the purple Yam Souffle which takes 25 minutes to make and my friend got the fried squid tails. We also got a signature Rose Green Milk Tea to share. The waitress who took our order has great memory and recalled all of our items without writing it down. She also reminded me that I could adjust the ice and sugar levels of my drink which I had completely forgotten and would have got annoyed if my drink came out 100% sweetness. Another thing is that my drink order frequently comes out wrong at other locations so I was glad she got it right! Green tea instead of black tea and with milk instead of without milk. The purple Yam Souffle is just like the other locations. Hot, soft cakey texture balanced with an ice cold red bean Ice-Cream. So delicious! The squid tails on the other hand was not what we expected. It came out burnt and hard. The outer batter was not crispy either. We informed one of the waiters and he brought it back to inform the kitchen staff. We received a new batch that was not as burnt and had more flavoring this time around. However, the squid was still hard and not like the ones we get from other locations with smaller crispier pieces. Overall, it was still a good experience and I love the decorations at this location! This might be my second favorite location after the Flushing one. Would love to come back for brunch or hi-tea. Or regular food options when I have not already eaten dinner. My usual go-tos are the twister fries, Santa Fe chicken rolls, fried salted crispy chicken, and the trio dessert combo. However, this location has a lot more variety! FYI - there are two unisex restrooms in the rear for customers to use with really cute wallpapers too.

We ordered potted rose milk tea to share, Dubai affogato and Brown Sugar Boba Mille Crêpes Cake. We came on a Friday around 4pm. Originally I wanted to try the strawberry matchamisu, however, was told that it sold out. What a bummer. The rose milk tea came with a themed pot and cups which is really cute. The rose fragrant smelled so good and the milk tea also tasted good and has a hint of rose taste. The cake was good, the boba was well cooked, chewy and flavorful! This time there was an unpleasant experience. At first when the Dubai affogato was served, we did not realize that the amount of the coffee was little until we saw another customer's dish that the volume of their coffee looked significantly more than ours. My friend brought it to the waitress attention but the waitress brushed it off and did not acknowledge our concern. When we finished and were about to leave, the same waitress came over and showed us that the container of the coffee was different and hence the volume of the coffee looked different. At this point, we did not care for it anymore. We would have been fine if the staff acknowledged our concern. We thought that maybe using standardized containers for the coffee would avoid this problem. Other than that, the food and drinks were good.
