Needed a coffee while in the area so I found this place and decided to give it a try. It's a small little shop. I ordered an iced latte but got a cold brew. I didn't bother to correct them since either was fine. It was good cold brew with good flavor. Nothing really stood out. I got a cookie since the reviews all said they were great. But for $6.50 which is more the Levain, I thought it was just ok. I got the cranberry oatmeal which was ok. I wouldn't pay the price again though for this cookie. SYOY! read more

SO YUMMY! Stopped in here for a latte to go and was impressed with the perfectly brewed latte and grabbed an award winning cookie! I came in around 930AM on a Thursday and it was packed! There was a long line nearly going out of the shop, but they seemed to have a pretty efficient process down and it didn't take too long. Lots of people working. The latte was perfect and for 5.75 a bit on the cheaper side for manhattan especially in this touristy area! The chocolate chip cookie was great, very chocolate forward so don't forget a napkin. It is $6.50 for a cookie which I think is a bit steep, probably won't get it again. A lot of people were ordering the maple slushie coffee. That's a pro if you're all about chocolate. Being that the cookie was on the thin side, I felt the chocolate was overpowering. Not much on the inside, open space, a long table and a few side tables for pairs to sit, but they've mastered (I'm assuming) the sweet and simple. Coffee and cookies seems to be their masterpiece. Solid, but nothing mind-blowing. *Chocolate Chip Cookie: 9.5/10: Asked if they could warm it up, but the barista said no. Still, this is a damn good cookie. Tons of chocolate, crunchy on the outside, and thick but not Levain-thick. Unlike Levain, it's not raw inside. The chocolate stays melty, and they definitely use chocolate discs, likely 60% dark chocolate. If this was warmed up, easy 10/10. *Black & White Cookie: 8/10: Solid, but can't beat the chocolate chip. You won't be disappointed, but it's not the standout.
