What an amazing bagel shop in my neighborhood that I've never been to. After living in Graduate Hospital for 2 years, I finally had the pleasure of trying this place out. I have passed it a million times. The music from the inside was blaring outside as well. There is a ton more indoor seating than I was anticipating from seeing the outside. They have a ton of speciality bagels and spreads. Ended up getting a toasted jalapeno/cheese with dragon cream cheese. I really liked how spicy it was. I highly recommend the dragon cream cheese if you like spicy stuff. It had scallions, walnuts, jalapeños. They had whole walnuts on the spread which made it really filling. The service was super quick which was nice. I can't wait to come back. They seem to have a lot of variety when it came to their coffee speciality drinks and their breakfast items.

Came here for some bagels and BEC on a everything bagel. For my two bagels I got the fun tie dye bagel and then a cinnamon raisin bagel for my husband. The everything bagel sandwich was pretty decent. Not the best ive had but pretty average. I'm sure there are better bagel places in Philly and I tend to try more!

Pretty standard bagel shop. I'm from jersey so my expectations are pretty high and this shop was pretty average. They weren't the friendliest bunch and they also had an entire box of eggs just in the ground, which was very strange. Probably wouldn't go back here because thankfully there are plenty of other bagel options. I got a toasted cinnamon raisin bagel and it was barely toasted and also barely tasted like cinnamon raisin.

These are some of the most disappointing bagels in Philadelphia. I forget every time I order here until I take that first sad bite. As I type this, my mouth is getting more and more dry with every bite. At least the bagel can absorb my tears. RIP Korshak Bagels.

New order protocol - definitely call ahead because it takes a WHILE.

I'm leaving this review after my third attempt here at Philly Bagels. I've come on weekdays and weekends and it seems that the day of the week does not impact the fact that they are very slow. If you want to get a bagel here, your best bet is to order ahead over the phone. On this current visit, I ordered three breakfast sandwiches. After waiting 20 minutes (which I feel is a bit long) I went to the window to make sure they were working on my order. I had seen many people order after me and leave before me, so I was a bit frustrated. They told me they were still working on it. The reason I felt so inclined to ask is because the last time we were here, we waited 20 minutes for two breakfast sandwiches, and we were what seemed to be the only customers. When we approached the window to ask where our order was they told us they forgot it. Things happen, so we were understanding and came back. While we stood outside waiting, we saw many customers confused about the ordering process. There is limited signage and it's very small. After a full half hour, we finally got our order from a woman wearing a mask that didn't cover her nose. Bagels are good but not worth the aggravation. I'd rather make my own at home.

We have ordered from here a couple times -- reading the reviews, we always order over the phone and then walk over to pick it up. Bagel shops are super busy especially in the morning, and I've never ordered from one and NOT had a wait (that's a sign that it's not going to be a good bagel!). There's usually a wait on the phone and then a 15-20 minute estimate so by the time we finally get our bagels and get them home, it's been at least 45 minutes. It's an investment, but for special occasions we feel it's worth it. My husband usually gets the lox sandwich, and I usually get pork roll, egg, and cheese. Both are consistently delicious. We'll keep coming back.

Great bagels, fine coffee. I loved the lox special with everything bagel, no capers, scallion cream cheese. My friend loved her peanut butter and jelly bagel. Coffee was pretty average, but bagels were delicious. Kind staff, no indoor seating, and outdoor ordering available through a side window.

Philly Bagels had some incredibly delish breakfast sandwiches, albeit a bit pricey by my standard. You can walk in and order (3 people allowed in at a time right now) or call to pick up, and either way there's a little window on the outside of the building where they yell out your name when your order is ready. My boyfriend and I went around 9am on Saturday and there was a small line accrued. It was a short wait. For our two breakfast sandwiches and an iced coffee it was a bit over $16. I HIGHLY recommend going for the pork roll. It's thick cut and totally worthwhile. Oh, and they told us that my boyfriend's severe peanut and nut allergies wouldn't be an issue and made note of it on our order (as they do have peanut and nut products here).

Everything bagel with veggie cream cheese, bacon and tomato

Fitzwater Street Bagels is always solid, in my experience. In pre-pandemic times, I'd occasionally swing by for a turkey sandwich, customized to my liking. Nowadays, customizing gets a bit trickier through an online delivery app, so I've had to modify a bit in order to get what I want. My go-to bagel breakfast sandwich is an everything bagel with bacon, veggie cream cheese, tomato and cucumber. This is obviously not a combo that's offered online (or anywhere, probably, because it's super random!) so over the weekend I instead ordered a BLT, hold the L, plus some extra bagels and cream cheese to have on hand. I was able to add my desired cream cheese to my BT bagel, and now I have bagels in my freezer for whenever I want one. I've never had an issue with my order, and I love having a bagel shop in the neighborhood that's both walkable and available for delivery on a lazy Sunday morning.

Love seeing a positive face in the morning! I orders a BEC on sea salt rosemary-- my goto. Bagels were out in ~5 minutes, and it was a delicious bit to eat with coffee later on. The shop here is pick-up only, and on some mornings when I've visited especially in the winter, it's kind of painful to wait inside because it started to get a bit cramped. More just a heads up but not a piece of feedback though since their lot is pretty small. If you're grabbing breakfast in the Rittenhouse area, this is nice option for you! Just know that you'll have to take it to-go and eat it elsewhere.

The everything bagel seasoning was very good but the bagel was mediocre. The bagel was loaded with strawberry cream cheese which had good flavor. The others had regular bagels and had better reviews of the bagels. A couple egg sandwiches were described as being "good" and a plain bagel with cream cheese was given similar review. I'm not sure it's the kind of bagel shop that I would go racing back to at any point but it was decent. A bright light was how good the staff was to work with in terms of being friendly while placing an order. Probably brought this review from a 3 to a 4 based upon the staff interaction.

When I order a bagel,…read moreI'll tell them the type of bagel, whether I want it toasted (always yes for me), the type of cream cheese (scallion vegan cream cheese), and then any additions that I want (usually tomato and onion). When ordering coffee, I'll let them know what I want (drip coffee) with whatever kind of milk (with heavy oat milk enough to change colour) and sweetener (with sugar please). Then you let them know any sides you want. I may or may not be saying it a bit quickly, because I'm half awake, and running on auto pilot, because I've lived in the Northeast for so long. The absolutely delightful lady behind the counter got it all recorded, fired, and sorted as and when it was coming out of my mouth. Confirmed everything, collected my payment, and we kept it pumping. As soon as the coffee was ready, called me over to grab it, because it was chilly and rainy while we waited. When one of the items I was ordering was taking a long time, the staff let me know that the item was taking a while longer than expected to finish cooking. My food came out perfectly done. Also, when they pass you your food, they confirm how many things you're ordering to make sure you get all your stuff. This operation is efficient, fast, and friendly. It's inexpensive for what you're getting. Coffee is excellent. Bagels have that snappy exterior, and chewy insides. Hash browns are crisp and piping hot. Coffee is rich and dark. Genuinely, you can't have any complaints when everything is done just right.

I went to Middle Child a few weeks ago just after 3, only to find it closes at 3. Today I returned, around 1, and there was a good crowd there having lunch. I ordered the Surfer, and the Hash Brown Potatoes. The Surfer is Middle Child's most popular sandwich. It's made on a Ciabatta bun, and has a thick layering of tender, lean, House Turkey breast, with melty Swiss cheese, arugula, blueberry chutney, and Duke's mayo. It's hard to describe just how delicious this sandwich was. My biggest concern was the Ciabatta bun - it's not one of my favorites, as I've found them to be tough and difficult to bite through. My fears were quickly put to rest after the first bite! The bun had a slightly crispy exterior - and when I followed through with my first bite, the tender, soft interior of the Ciabatta was a pleasant surprise. In fact, it complemented the thick savory Turkey, arugula, chutney and mayo! It was one of the best Turkey sandwiches I've had. Now, if that wasn't enough, don't forget, I ordered the Hash Brown Potatoes. It said Hash Browns on the blackboard, see attached picture, but these 'weren't your Mama's hash browns'! They are described online as Latka'd Hash Browns. They are thick crispy squares that combine a potato pancake latke with a hash brown texture. The interior reminded me of my mother's potato kugel, which I still reminisce about. In one word, those fried crispy potato squares were outstanding. It's 'a must try' and goes so well with the Surfer! Last, but not least, the Limeade! It was so refreshing! Not too tart, not too sweet... just right! I'll be returning to Middle Child in the not too distant future!

When I was FINALLY acknowledged; I was told here is one order which was ready, "5 mins for the next one" Okay cool. So the order was put on the counter but since people don't like when you just take the order that you have to deliver i again had to wait and try not to interrupt the conversation making me 2 minutes late for the drop off. What could improve?? Why not acknowledge people walking into your store and maybe pause your conversation because you aren't home.
