Long story short I found a car at a different dealership that was hard to find, they were a bit stiff and offered me below value what KBB said I could get for my great condition low mileage car with premium package. The dealer where I was getting the car I wanted (I'll just say it - Audi Plano!?#$% Avoid them at all costs if you want a FAIR deal) they offered me a RIDICULOUSLY below average amount - what KBB suggested. I walked out frustrated and tired physically and mentally. Thank God I noticed Carmax nearby and thought Why Not? I walked in, there was very much a dmv feel to it Lots of people, sitting everywhere, lot's of traffic in and out. There was a monitor with peoples names/appointment times at the front desk. I thought, wow how am I going to get an appraisal on a weekend with all these people? When it was my turn the guy was very nice and said no problem, we can do that for you and he re-directed me to the business window which was nearby. I was still skeptical and cranky given what I had been through at another dealership. Business desk had a lot going on too, but they seemed to be in good spirits with each other and the people who approached them! Complete opposite from previous dealer. I was greeted by Micah (sp?) who was seemed relaxed despite the busyness, she told me how appraisals worked in a matter of fact way, when I hesitantly asked how long all this would take, she quickly said it should be no more than 30 mins with a confident smile. I was still skeptical but refused to give away my car for the measly amount the other dealer offered me. Well, I went to the bathroom, people watched and yeah about 30 mins later, she came back with my appraisal quote! way more than MORE than what the stingy dealer down the street was offering me and ABOVE KBB !! If I didn't want the other car so bad at A/P, I would've gladly told them to touch grass! But unfortunately they had what I needed. I would have felt much better to have bought from Carmax, everyone I encountered there was friendly, professional and got things done in a great amount of time! I want to thank Micah again for being so patient with me and explaining things while I was under great personal stress and timelines as well (death in the family, trade in car papers expiring etc). I sold my beloved car to Carmax in Plano, had a GREAT experience from beginning to end and wanted to let them know I appreciate them being a positive part in such a stressful weekend for me. I must start off by saying this truck does not have it easy. In fact, I've worked this truck extremely hard every single day 7 days a week for over 5 years. 5 years and 3 months ago my wife and I quit the big corporate world and started our own mattress and furniture business. ( https://www.yelp.com/biz/slumber-n-serenity-discount-mattress-and-furniture-anaheim ) We started our business on a very small budget, so my daily driver, our Tundra, immediately was stepped up into our official delivery truck. In August of 2012, this truck started getting loaded with mattresses and heavy furniture and was being driven around in bumper to bumper traffic with heavy loads every single day of the week. I maintained the truck with fully synthetic oil changes every 5 thousand miles, and of course did everything else necessary to keep it in shape. At around 100,000 miles I had the timing belt, water pump, serpenteen belt, plugs, transmission fluid flush etc etc. Literally, all I've done is followed the recommended maintenance and replaced wear parts such a tie rods, radiator, battery, spark plugs etc. I must say, this truck has outperformed any other truck I've ever had. It's running strong with no sign of motor or transmission issues at all. It's pushed hard,carrying huge heavy loads and continues to run like a champ. I'll drive this truck until it can't work for me any longer. This truck has never to this day broken down or left me stranded. Not once. I'm going to attach a picture of the truck towing a 1500 lb trailer today with 500 pounds of furniture in the bed and another 2500 lbs loaded on the trailer. That's 4500 pounds towing with no hesitation at all at 200,000 miles. All I can say is wow! I'm grateful. Well done Toyota! The following morning, I took my newly purchased car to Discount Tire to confirm the condition of the tires and potentially purchase insurance on them and was told that they were at a level that warranted immediate replacement. The tread depth ranged from 2/32 to 5/32. I believed that I had purchased from a reputable dealership and was shocked to find out they would sell me a car with such low tire tread, especially without disclosing it to me. I spent a total of $1,178 dollars replacing the tires. I reached back out to Nick on Monday 7/13 and requested assistance in covering the replacement tires and was told he would run it by "the owners" to see what they could do. I went followed up with him several times over the last 9 days and finally got an answer this morning that they would not do anything for me. I was not expecting that they fully cover brand new tires on a used vehicle but do believe they should share in the cost. Replacing tires that have no life left should be included in the normal cost of refurbishing a car for resale by a dealer.

Called ahead of time and let them know i'm coming to check out a car, asked for one specific thing…read more Do not start the car or move it since i wanted to hear a cold start. show up to dealer 1 hour later and the car was warm, and moved up front. then on the "test drive" all we did was go in a circle. took 4 right turns and didn't even go over 35mph. for a dealership that sells "high end cars" the experience was less than mediocre. couldn't even properly drive the car. would highly recommend some place else.
