    wings were inedible cardboard

I never leave reviews but this order deserves one. Absolutely awful. RARE hamburger come super well done and 4 order of breaded wings come overcooked and dry as cardboard. Waste of $178.

If you like a excellent pastrami sandwich! This is the spot! I got a schnitzel pastrami sandwich and it was incredible! Garlic ranch sauce fully loaded! Place is incredibly clean! Staff are friendly! Soooo good! Eat here for sure! And check out my pics! A plus!

10/10 best Schnitzel in LA The service is fast and efficient, not a lot of time spent waiting for your food and everything is freshly made! Clean and nice music in the background. Highly recommend this place!

Burnt and dry schnitzel. $19 for this ??

Haven't the Jewish people suffered enough?! Really wanted to like this place but unfortunately I'll take my business somewhere else next time. I came in on Sunday around 2pm, the restaurant was empty. That was the first red flag. The guy behind the counter didn't even acknowledge me, he was busy on his phone. That was another red flag. I greeted him and continue to order. I paid $19 for 12" baguette with schnitzel, some toppings and garlic mayo sauce. The schnitzel was burnt and dry, just like the customer service here. Will not be back.

Apparently this is $8 worth of schnitzel. Wasted $30+ on the smallest portions, the photos made them look so much bigger. Disappointed.

honestly the food is good which is why i come all the way down here from the valley but the attitude of the manager is actually disgusting he ignores you and speaks down to you very disrespectful... when you come to a place to eat it's not just about the food it's about the customer service especially when you leave a big tip and i can honestly say i will never be back in here to eat in because just talking to that man feels like assault

    A FLY in the food

Absolutely disgusting. If I could do zero stars I would. They have okay staff, DO NOT TRUST THEIR FOOD. It is a roulette of getting diseases. One can be food poisoning from the undercooked food. To the malaria of eating a fly. I ordered a buffalo chicken salad for my son. He came up to me with a half eaten fly in his hand. He said he spat it out once he felt it. After I saw what was in his hand my heart dropped. We are jewish, and if you dont know. It is strictly prohibited to eat bugs. Even the tiniest is not okay. This place is a glatt kosher fast food place. They need a food and safety inspector to check the area again. Overall, terrible place to go. TERRIBLE, MY SON IS TRAUMATIZED.

I like their take on a traditional Israeli comfort food. Somewhat pricey but most kosher restaurants today are.

The restaurant itself has plenty of indoor seating and some outdoor options as well. I was particularly impressed by the menu, which has plenty of options for vegetarians and vegan diets and a great selection of salads. My husband ordered the breakfast with pancakes and it was delicious! I wouldn't necessarily call it the friendliest service I've experienced, but the food is excellent. If you find yourself in the area, I would definitely recommend that you stop by and try some of their tasty food.

I've witnessed him being rude to multiple other customers, he will rip the salt off your table, will start slamming chairs around you and give you a death stare! And even though I brought it up to the manager and to other employees, nothing has been done and he still works there. He absolutely ruined this place for me that I used to patron for over a decade. Awful move! And even worse to ignore that this is happening when you've been told multiple times. The other employees are cool, the food is decent, and the manager I thought was awesome, but they are completely ignoring this issue and it needs to be addressed . That guy needs to go! They will lose more patronage.

I ordered the 1/4 Chicken white meat chicken and the Chinese Chicken Salad. The rotisserie chicken was perfectly cooked -- incredibly juicy and seasoned well with a lovely herbal flavor. The Chinese Chicken Salad was also a standout. It was packed with fresh ingredients like almonds, mandarin oranges, crunchy noodles, pasta, and crisp vegetables all tied together by a delicious dressing. I also appreciated the nice touch of a complimentary chicken included with the order, which was a pleasant surprise. The packaging was great, arriving in a nice bag securely sealed with a zip tie. Aside from the food, I was actually drawn to this business after reading positive threads on Reddit about well they treat their employees. It feels great to support a business with those kinds of values. My only major complaint is that no utensils were provided. Eating a loaded salad without a fork is quite a challenge, so I ended up having to eat it "caveman style" -- good thing I wasn't around anyone at the time! While this was a significant inconvenience, it didn't ruin the meal. I would have have easily given them a 5/5, but forgetting the utensils brings my score down just a bit to a 4/5. Still the food itself is top-tier and I highly recommend it. I look forward to visiting in person soon to try more of their sides!

It's up to you if you want to wait." Really? If takeout orders are going to take over 30 minutes, are the customers dining inside also waiting that long for their food? The response honestly didn't make much sense and left me with the impression that my business was not wanted. I understand that restaurants can get busy, but there are better ways to communicate that with customers. Unfortunately, based on this experience, I will not be returning to Panini. I also work in a nearby office and regularly have opportunities to order food for meetings and coworkers. I will be sharing my experience with them so they can consider other options in the future.

tl;dr skip the much-hyped beef tongue; the delicious koobideh far outclasses it in flavor and value…read more To the unsuspecting eye, Attari Sandwich Shop is a hole in the wall on a busy block of Westwood. But those in the know recognize that Attari's enclosed plaza is the epicenter of Tehrangeles, the Los Angeles Persian community. Attari (referring to a traditional apothecary in Persian) opened in 1979 as a sundry shop before shifting its focus to counter-service eats. Across the broad menu, the Beef Tongue Sandwich has been Attari's best-selling item for decades, and it's routinely ranked among LA's must-try sandwiches. Attari's entrance is tucked around the corner on Wilkins. A corroded metal gate separates the street and sidewalk from the spacious, inviting patio. Colorful umbrellas spring from sturdy tables, and large potted plants are pressed against nearly all available wall space. The outdoor area is comfortably breezy and shaded, even in the summer. Additional seating is available inside the cramped, air-conditioned shop. The whitewashed walls are sparingly decorated with Iranian artwork and framed Attari accolades. Classic Persian-language tunes intermix with multilingual chatter. My partner and I visited for an early weekend dinner, and we were able to order immediately. We opted to share the signature Beef Tongue Sandwich and a Koobideh Kebob platter with Zereshik Polo (barberry specialty rice), and our food was prepared in about 10 minutes. The sandwich combined tender meat with a crispy roll and tangy pickles, but the result felt somewhat dry. Ultimately, it was a rich garlic aioli away from being heaven. Meanwhile, the koobideh (grilled ground beef) was addictively juicy and flavorful. The rice was generously loaded with dried barberries, but the uniquely sweet flavor was one-dimensional. The sangak flatbread fell flat; it served as little more than a conduit for more interesting ingredients. Our bill approached $50, and the portion size was large enough for leftovers. While the forgettable beef tongue wasn't worth the hefty price, the delectable koobideh dazzled -- it would be at the top of my hit list if I were to return.

The sandwiches are unreal -- packed with flavor, perfectly seasoned, messy in the best way possible, and somehow taste exactly like the sandwiches we grew up with in Iran. Everything from the sauce combinations to the pickles to the bread tastes intentional and authentic. You can tell this place was made by people who actually understand Persian food culture instead of trying to "Americanize" it. The vibe is also perfect. Loud, chaotic, warm, nostalgic, cool without trying too hard. It feels like Iran and Los Angeles had a baby. As an Iranian, this place genuinely feels like comfort and home. Every time I go, I end up smiling halfway through the sandwich because it tastes like memories. Attari isn't just good Persian food -- it's Persian culture done right.
