I was expecting to be blown away by the food based on the reviews. I'm still waffling between two or three star rating. I guess I'll give it three stars because the fries were good and I like the sodas. The burger was really underwhelming. The price were overwhelming! $11.00 for a burger without any sides! Seriously?! I was expecting wagyu beef served off the tits of a supermodel for that price. Sadly my burger fell short of those expectations. It was small-ish, dry-ish, and tipping over-ish. It had so much lettuce and tomato that it was unstable at the top. The tomato made a slide towards freedom every bite. The bun was crispy-ish and tall-ish. So tall, that I couldn't fit the damn thing into my mouth without squishing it. The taste was meh... I've had tastier burgers for half the price. Save your money. Let's start with the good. The Nashville chicken sandwich was actually pretty tasty and had a touch of heat. But at $14 just for a sandwich, I'm not seeing it. It wasn't 3 Popeyes sandwiches good. The fries were decent, nothing wrong with them but nothing special either. (I got the regular fries, they have amped up fries as well). The parking is a sh*t show which is made worse by places taking spots for out door seating. I'm glad the businesses can stay open using the outdoor seating, but it makes parking worse. I didn't try the pizza, but I saw a few comments about it not tasting fresh etc.. when I was there they carted in the cooked pizza wrapped in clear wrap from what I'm guessing is there other business. We had some friends in town and decided to try this place. So good!!!! Must come and try! I had the impossible burger yes yes very good! Lots of flavor. We're regulars at Scolari's, and the food is great, but my last 2 experiences have been sub-par to say the least. Both orders were for take out. I called them in, and was told 15-20 minutes both times. When I arrive 20 minutes after both calls, I am left waiting 20 additional minutes due to "kitchen confusion" about my order (which is just 2 cheeseburgers and an order of fries). All I received was a "sorry", and on top of that, they said they would give me "new fries" since mine had gone cold, which to them meant throwing my already made fries back into the fryer. DO NOT EAT HERE! I never write reviews, but this one bears sharing. We waited over an hour and checked in a few times. Our food never came. We watched as people who ordered after us received their food. The young boys working the counter lied to my boyfriend's face about waiting for our order to be complete. At one point, they asked for the name on the order, looked in a random bag, and told him "waiting on one more burger." The boys behind the counter lied over and over again instead of just owning up to it. We never received our food. We had to get a refund and wasted our time. Good service, but average food. The restaurant is super small and the food is a bit pricey. We ordered the BBQ ribs and their Crispy Hot Dog, and the food left us pretty disappointed. The ribs were super burnt and dry, and their BBQ sauce didn't compliment the ribs very well. We ended up using our own store bought BBQ sauce for the ribs. The Crispy Hot Dog was wayyy overpriced. It tasted like any regular hot dog and the sauce was just regular mustard. For such a pricey hot dog, I definitely expected a little bit more. Pretty unsatisfied. Menu options were limited, but I tried the Blueberry Bacon Bleu Cheese Burger...and was pleasantly surprised. I was a little hesitant when I saw the blueberry, but it really worked with the burger. Scolari's is still cooking 1990's theme restaurant or Cruise Ship versions of good burgers and charging too much for them. Served on a delicious challah bun that is perfectly toasted. So tasty. I got the 2-piece dark lunch meal of regular fried chicken and got the mashed potatoes and gravy as the side. The fried chicken was perfect. Moist, perfectly cooked, and great batter. Some might consider it too salty or overseasoned, but I thought it really hit the nail on the head. We got a half order of fries. They seemed like they were soggy, but they were SO good. Our two year old ate most of them. The biscuit that came with the fried chicken was surprisingly good, and that's coming from someone who hates biscuits. A minus is the deficit of seating, BUT the food is worth it. We will be back to try other stuff. If I had to complain, I would say that the aioli was a little bland for my taste, but that's just if I had to complain about something.
