Stopped by Scooter's Coffee on Dixie Highway and had a great experience. I ordered a small non-fat mocha and a mini chocolate doughnuts, and both were just what I needed. The mocha was smooth and not overly sweet, and the doughnuts were fresh and chocolatey. Service was quick and friendly, making it an easy stop for a coffee break. I'll definitely be back!

I was in the area & needed an afternoon pick me up. I was a bit confused on where the entrance was for this drive thru only, but once it was found it was a breeze from there. The menu has tons of options, I wanted a iced matcha green tea latte. Pulled around & it took a min or 2 after paying & my drink was ready. It wasn't overall sweet but delicious & refreshing. It around a Scooters again, I definitely will stop by to try more items.

First time visiting this Scooters location on Dixie and Gagel. It was pretty early in the morning so I really had no problems getting in or out. The app was giving me some problems but, was resolved. I got my usual Iced Turtle Latte w/extra drizzle no whip cream and 3 mini donuts. It was a few minutes wait in the line but it moved quick. As always the latte was good. Donuts were ok. I give 3 stars because of the location. I'd go as early as possible to get in and out in a breeze.

My son and I decided to stop by here on our way to school. The service is great! We ordered the ham And cheese sandwich, spicy sausage burrito, butterscotch cold foam over the pot of gold, and a peach smoothie. It is kind of pricey but we were able to eat and get recharged. Glad to have another option in town.

I finally made the left turn and drove to Scooter's Coffee. I'm gonna be honest here... I wasn't gonna stop cause I get tired of going to a coffee house and ordering coffee and muffin and drive off disappointed. Anyone else have that experience? Ya take a drink of that coffee and it's overpriced and tastes worse than the kind you brew at home? And the pastries are usually almost cold and putty-like in texture, almost like they just came off the delivery truck from who-knows-where and has zero flavor??? WELL WELL WELL shut my mouth this place is awesome!!!! The coffee was bold and full of flavor but didn't make you wanna scrap your tongue afterward. And the Caramelicious Muffin....honey it was silky and sinful. That muffin had the perfect crumb and was full of caramel flavor. It's a caramelgasmic y'all. Sign me up baby. **note the blueberry muffin I got the next day was yucky puck but THIS mmmmm mmmmm mmmm. I'm going again tomorrow before work. Thanks Scooter whoever you are. Oh...download the app. It's super easy and you get points.

My iced latte was made perfectly and the drive-through barista very friendly. There was one other car in front of me, but my drink was done in a timely manner.

This little spot is right on the way to enter the Watterson Expressway. You can order through the app and it's ready when you get there! They have a daily flavored coffee which is fun! If you're a member, you get a free drink on your birthday. I've never tried them but they have several baked goods.

    My small nonfat mocha!

So glad we now have a convenient coffee shop in our area, Preston Hwy, Louisville, KY. Bought a small nonfat mocha, dash of cinnamon, extra hot and it was perfect. Prices are also comparable to other coffee shops in the Louisville area. Also liked the decorative cups, something different. Thank you

This is the sugar cookie latte this was one of my only good photos of the drinks I got, but I got it twice and it was the best!

If you love Coffee, pastries and more this is the place for you! I tried them around Christmas time and got there sugar cookie latte. It was amazing, but also my dogs love them, my puppy now knows when we are going wish I had a photo of her!

When we came here we did not realize that Proof on Main is a not only a wonderful restaurant/bar but also a 24/7 free museum. You can order drinks and then walk through the exhibits. We just opted to eat breakfast first. As soon as you enter, you are standing in a colorful and fun art museum. The walls are adorned with many different types of art from living artists. The staff also encourages you to walk through the dining room and if able they will walk along as your own private docent, explaining a lot of what you see. We had to pause the dining room and bar exhibit tour for a short time to have breakfast which included: - BREAKFAST SANDWICH - Scratch Biscuit, House Sausage, - FRENCH TOAST - Ricotta, Strawberry, Pistachio - BISCUITS & GRAVY - House Sausage Gravy, Sunny Eggs, Chili Crisp Scrambled Eggs, Melty Cheese, Hash-brown - STEEL CUT OATMEAL - Spiced Apple Butter, Apples, Candied Walnuts I will not go items by item but I will say that everything was so perfect-tasty-fresh. The portions are very robust here and I am sure no one goes aways hungry. They have a lot of unique twists on items as you can see by the menu we had. After breakfast, we resumed our tour of the main floor then the basement. It's hard to describe just how large the viewing area is and all spots within the area are used for some kind of art display... Even the bathroom. Everything is so unique and I tried to capture a fair amount of it in photographs and information about the piece as well. This too should be a must visit if your in the Louisville area. Set aside an hour or two to stop in and relax with some great food and art. KUDOs to the team at Proof on Main.

Usually that wouldn't be a problem, but when you are dining alone, it's kind of hard to go fetch anything. Do you leave your belongings? Do you leave your food? If you need more coffee, how are you going to carry it all? Even to just pick up your food. Do you leave your drink? Will you loose your table if none of your stuff is there? It can be a problem. However the food is delicious and the portions are generous with reasonable prices. I love that there is a section for my vegan friend... My wife and I stopped in for lunch, and found the remodeled inside to be just gorgeous. But the service was just OK, with the quality and size of the mussels being subpar. Moule Frites is one of my favorite dishes, and something I've tried to eat whenever it is available, often sopping up the delicious juices with crusty bread. So was super excited seeing mussel as part of a restaurant name. Sure enough, they have 6 dishes using mussels, with sizes coming in appetizer ($16) and entree ($20). What fills you up in a mussel dish is going to be the bread and french fries, so figured ordering three appetizers for me would be fine (Moles Basquaise, Curry Cream, and Ponzu). My wife does not like mussels, so she ordered 'the Dip' $17.99 (a french dip on a fresh baguette), which came with french fries, so I didn't have to order any. My wife liked her sandwich fine, and she liked her bread much more than I liked it. The fries were just OK as well, a bit greasy and overcooked. The same bread came in half loaf with each of the apps. Would have worked a lot better if the bread had been toasted considering it tasted like regular white bread without any bite or flavor. As for the mussels, they ranged in size from being very small (probably shouldn't have been served) to small, and because of the shrinkage during cooking, there really wasn't much meat. I loved the Basquaise sauce and would absolutely get it again with pasta or rice, just something more filling and better than the accompanying bread. The ponzu and curry cream didn't work...both mention asian influences and I really didn't see it. I intentionally hadn't ordered the meuniere (french white wine and garlic butter) which is what they use for pommes frittes. That would have been a much better choice. As for the service, she was just...there. Not really able to answer any questions, and just worrying about bringing our food out. Didn't really do anything to make it a better experience, considering the nature of this restaurant. I understand sourcing is often at the mercy of whatever the supplier can send you....but these PEI mussels just weren't great. Maybe expand the menu to include other types of mussels (such as New Zealand green mussels) that come frozen, but are consistent in their size and quality. The three sauces I tried would have gone better with them...they were too heavy to take advantage of the flavorful but delicate juice that a live mussel releases as it is being cooked...but would have been good with the meatiness of the NZ variety.

My top-tier chum who literally went to the school of hospitality and I came here two Fridays ago ahead of a bourbon tour (thinking, correctly, that we should probably have a hearty meal beforehand so we didn't end up face-first in a gutter somewhere). Several Kentucky natives told us that we had to try a Hot Brown during our visit, and since it was literally created at the Brown Hotel, this seemed like the logical spot. The actual Hotel has some gorgeous interiors, especially upstairs in the lobby. We didn't see that area until after our meal, so when we laid eyes on the Lobby Bar & Grill, we knew immediately that that was where we SHOULD have gone for this Hot Brown dish. J. Graham's, I'm sorry to say, doesn't have the history and personality of the rest of the building and just looks like a generic breakfast spot you'd find in any hotel. It probably exists solely because the other dining options in the hotel aren't open until later and they want to give tourists and their own customers a place to eat at all times of the day, which isn't a terrible reason in my book. But it's also unfortunately not very good, and the dirty walls and overall meh appearance of the establishment just make it very clear that the hey day for this hotel overall was decades ago. The service was the biggest miss here. Our waitress was scatterbrained, often not around or around but hanging out with co-workers or talking up other customers. It was honestly pretty mystifying because when she DID come by, she was often overly apologetic and trying to make amends. But the best way to make amends is not to have to keep doing that throughout the meal. She forgot my friend's coffee (didn't write anything down when we ordered, which is fine if you remember everything but...) and when my chum asked what was in the hummus (one of just three apps), she didn't know and had to go ask someone in the kitchen. That's arguably a nitpick and she DID try to figure it out, but the lunch menu is pretty small and it was a little odd that her menu knowledge was that limited. The bigger problem was that we were in there for over half an hour longer than we wanted to be because she wouldn't come by our table. I actually actively looked for her on the way to the bathroom so I could remind her to come to our table, but instead found her off to the side gossiping with other staff. Not a good look at all. So this might have been an overall positive experience if some of the hospitality from the hotel had spilled over here. We actually both enjoyed the apps, which were the only real positives of the experience. The Bourbon Barrel Fries and the Two Timer, featuring Smoked Bourbon Hummus (bourbon tends to be the theme of your days in this town, I've found) were both really good, and I probably ate more of those than the actual entree. The fries were cooked perfectly and were well seasoned/addictive. The Hot Brown was fine for what it was (we split it to try). It's basically a dramatic turkey melt, with slices of turkey coated in cheese and other sauces. It also came with strips of bacon on top, which on a personal palate level I didn't think really helped the dish so I barely nibbled on those. It's definitely a solid entry but it wasn't mind-blowing for either of us. Maybe it's just from where we come from in the Northeast, but I'm conditioned to like my turkey with accompanying stuffing, and usually in the latter part of November. I think it felt kind of weird to be eating turkey with warm cheese. But I'm glad we tried it and got the context at least. You might have a completely different experience with better service, but I'd still recommend going upstairs for any dining. It's a much better atmosphere and you can really appreciate where this hotel fits in the chronology of Louisville. You're not going to get that from going here.
