What a lovely view! Choose the outdoor dining.

After walking though North Boston and smelling all the delicious aromas of homemade food, we knew we wanted to fit an authentic Italian restaurant into our itinerary during our roadtrip tour of the northeast U.S. The problem: We did not want to deal with finding parking in North Boston, nor did we want to wait for a table as we had already wasted many hours waiting in lines during a long holiday weekend. So we entered Scopa into our Google maps and made our way to this delicious restaurant on our way back into Boston. We are so glad we did. It was the best meal we had over five days and in three different states. Plus--easy parking and no wait times! The food was outstanding. You can taste the quality. The fettuccine is made in house. I enjoyed chicken Parmesan and my daughter had the chicken piccata which was fresh and lemony. The service was excellent, and the view was even better. It is located in a quiet neighborhood overlooking a waterfront that I definitely wasn't expecting. If I lived in Boston, it would be worth the drive to eat here.

Scopa - A North Shore Italian Gem 829 Boston St, Lynn, MA 01905 You don't need to head into Boston's North End to get top-notch Italian food -- the North Shore is bringing the heat, and Scopa in Lynn proves it. This cozy spot delivers authentic flavors, homemade pasta, and hearty portions that rival any city favorite. APPETIZERS Prosciutto Rollatini - 8/10 If you're not usually a fan of raw prosciutto, don't write this one off just yet. Scopa wraps fresh basil, roasted red peppers, and provolone in thinly sliced prosciutto, then tops it with a rich balsamic reduction. While raw prosciutto isn't my go-to, this was balanced and well-executed. Calamari Fritti - 8/10 Crispy, fresh, and paired with hot cherry peppers and a house-made spicy marinara that hits just right. These were golden and light--not greasy--making them a great start to the meal. ENTRÉES Orecchiette with Sausage - 10/10 This dish blew me away. The sweet Bianco sausage was packed with flavor and perfectly balanced with the light marinara, fresh spinach, and basil oil. The fresh orecchiette pasta soaked up every bit of sauce, making each bite rich and satisfying. Chicken Parmigiana with Angel Hair Pasta - 9/10 A classic done nearly perfectly. The chicken was tender on the inside and crispy on the outside, topped with gooey mozzarella and a tangy marinara. The only critique? Slightly oily. Still, this was one of the best chicken parms I've had in a while. Final Thoughts: Scopa is proof that great Italian food isn't just found in Boston's North End. With fresh ingredients, homemade pasta, and generous portions, this Lynn gem is worth the trip. If you can, grab a table outside by the water -- the ambiance there is peak 9/10, adding a scenic charm to an already fantastic meal. Food: 9/10 Ambiance: 9/10 (outdoor seating by the water is a must!) Affordability: 7/10 (average pricing for high-quality Italian fare) Definitely going back.

Had a fantastic birthday dinner here last night. Food was delicious, service outstanding, and they definitely treat you well on your birthday!

Located on the Saugus Lynn line with great water view. We sat overlooking the water and it was spectacular. The food was delicious. Prices very reasonable. Service was on the slow side, but to be fair they were packed! Check out this place and their weekly specials. Seems like they have a lot going on.

What a cute little spot in Lynn! The inside is so beautiful, and there is a nice bar where we sat. Our bartender was amazing and very attentive. We ordered two cocktails and had a wine each with supper. The homemade pasta is absolutely amazing. My husband ordered the bolognese, and I ordered the chicken vodka pasta. We both had the home made fussili and it was outstanding, cooked perfectly al dente.

Tried out the newly opened Scopa on the Lynn/Saugus line last night. It is teeny tiny and there was not an empty table, so it was quite loud making it hard to converse. It is nicely decorated and full of fun Halloween decorations. The focaccia and oil dip were delicious. I got Chicken. Francese. It came with pasta; and when I asked what kind they had, I was given only fresh pasta options. There was no mention of an up charge nor did the menu mention one. From previous comments on Facebook, I knew to request no salt. We had to request fresh cracked pepper. I also had to request grated cheese. I was brought a glass shaker filled with grated cheese. Later, I observed a waitress actually grating fresh cheese over freshly served pasta plates! Upon asking my waiter about it, he told me he brought me the grated cheese I requested; and what I witnessed was shaved cheese!!!!????? Ordered a cappuccino for dessert, and it was lukewarm after a long wait for it. When I mentioned it to him, he was not familiar with the term lukewarm, but did take it away to have another made. The bill was left and I was charged extra for the fresh pasta. That was a surprise. I asked him about it, and his response was that everyone knows fresh pasta costs extra. I suggested he mention it to his customers and the menu should also reflect it. I also reminded him that he did not give me any other options. He offered to remove the up charge from my bill. While I was still waiting for the cappuccino, the Manager came over asking who got the Chicken Francese. She was lovely and felt my feedback was important so they could do better going forward. I was impressed. She offered to remove the up charge from my bill. When she brought it back, she had also comped the cappuccino. Overall, the food was very good; and I appreciate how they want to learn and improve by listening to their customers.

Def get a reservation cause it was packed! We will be back !

This was our second time dining at Scopa, and it did not disappoint! We had a 5:30 reservation on the patio and were seated promptly. Our server was warm and welcoming; I started with a lemon drop martini--it was lemony and refreshing. For an appetizer, we tried the fried mozzarella, which was delicious. For entrées, we ordered the chicken parm and the chicken francese. Both dishes were flavorful and generously portioned. Overall, a wonderful dining experience--we'll definitely be back!

Highly recommend eggplant parm. Happy I got vodka sauce. Picture does not do justice. Homemade fettuccine cooked a perfect al dente.

Had an outstanding Valentine's Day dinner at Scopa. Highly recommend the eggplant parm. Very happy that I got it with vodka sauce. So good, though the picture does not do it justice. Homemade fettuccine with it was cooked a perfect al dente. My wife enjoyed her chicken broccoli ziti, which was a bit unique with optional addition of cherry tomatoes and choice of fried chicken. Not pictured are the massive fried ravioli and the delicious complementary focaccia bread with addictive basil pesto oil. Specialty cocktails were on point, service was quick and friendly. Our server Angelina was so helpful!

Checked out Scopa Italian when we were in the Rt 1 area looking for something new to try. It a rather small place in Lynn right on the Saugus River. It looked pretty crowded so hubby went in and the host said it would be a half an hour or so and took our phone number to call us when a table was ready. We waited in the car right next to the entrance and in no time at all the host came out and said to come on in your table is ready. We sat at a high top right neat the bar. Perfect spot for me anyway as the Celtics were on and I had a perfect view. The inside is very cozy and welcoming. We had a very friendly waitress who was very accommodating. I started with a Cosmo. Very, very, good. A delicious Focaccia bread and oil was brought to the table as well. I got the Chicken Marsala with fresh Fusilli. Super tasty and delicious! I will say it had a little too much sauce for me. Next time I will just say a little less sauce. Hubby got Chicken Parmesan which was very good as well. We didn't have room for dessert but saw some going to other tables and looks delicious. We went back a few weeks later. This time I opted for an Appletini. Instead of the typical green Sour Apple Martini, it was red. A Washington Apple Martini. Very, very good. I got Chicken Piccata this time and hubby got his Chicken Parmesan. Both were delicious. And we got the same waitress! This is a great place with really great food!

The pickles were more noticeable than the hots, but easy to adjust next time. The cheese tasted better as it went along, probably getting closer to room temperature where it really shines. --- The flavors and textures were all impressive with the one exception of the ciabatta-- a little on the firm side, but that could be symptomatic of my late Sunday visit. I give them a pass for that and applaud this VERY good sandwich. --- Incredible value! This had to weigh at least 3 pounds and could easily have fed two people, and for only slightly more than a McDonald's "value" meal. Normally, I would wait and try it again before reviewing, but the city of Lynn isn't easy for me to get to, so now it is and it's an easy 4. The only things holding them back from a 5 are the lack of parking, seating, and toilet.

We decided to split the Dream Bomba dessert special, which was described as caramel surrounded by peanut butter gelato, encased in chocolate. She was patient and kind and took the time to understand what we needed. We ordered cocktails... because tonight was the last night I could before I re-start chemotherapy. Both my father and I ordered the Sangria ($14.00) ... And it was *amazing*. Honestly, it was the best I've had since my best friend and I drank together at a Flamenco restaurant in Montreal in June of 1985. My mother ordered the house dry red wine ($10.00) I didn't taste it and she didn't mention whether it was good or not. We ordered one Ceasar Salad ($10.00) and it was both really generous and incredibly delicious (see photo). My parents and I split it three was and it was plenty. The tang of the dressing really worked against the sardines and garlic. I'd definitely go back for more of that!! For dinner, my mother ordered the beef special.... Beef Braciole ($33.00) in an epic sauce. She loved it... but definitely could not finish it!! She brought the leftovers home (as did my father and I). My father ordered the Veal parmigiana ($29.99) and it was a massive, almost overwhelming plate of food (photo attached). He loved it (as did I when I tasted it!). For me?? I ordered the Pollo Vodka Bella Napoli ($26.99 - photo attached). It was a huge, almost overwhelming bowl of food and it was amazing. Deep, rich flavor with mushrooms, bacon, shallots, and tender chunks of chicken. The noodles we all ordered were the home made & hand-made fusilli that are produced in-house. I think that if a chef is going to spend the time necessary to make noodles, you should savor them... and that's what we did. Suzanne offered us a chance at dessert, but we declined, since we knew that if any of us ate a bite more, we would hit critical mass and destroy at least the surrounding block. The only weak point we encountered was the bread. It was weak, drab, and lacking in taste and character. They could do much better on that. Our bill, with taxes, was $162.62. With tip, it came to $195. Totally worth it!
