I've been going to this nail salon for years and their work is super consistent. Some of their staff have worked there for 10 years or longer. Today, I took a picture of an idea I had found online. They were able to duplicate it perfectly, giving me truly a custom work of nail art.

I love coming here to get my nails done. Lillian and Betty always do an amazing job! My friend and I get a manicure and a pedicure every three weeks with them. The staff is all nice there and the salon is very clean.

Decent service, techs seem pleasant. The manager seems a little rigid with employees. Only issue after having nails done for 30 years in other salons, after going for about 4 months, I got a nail fungus for the first time. The podiatrist recommends taking my own polish to this salon so they don't use contaminated polish. And some of their techs don't cut toe nail straight across to help ingrown toenail grow out, instead they cut the side of nail which exacerbates ingrown nail according to podiatrists. Other than this, they've been accommodating to getting in timely. read more

Let me start by saying Kathy did my GelX fill (plus repaired a couple nails) last time and it was great! I called Tuesday to schedule another fill and the lady who answered said soonest she could get me in with Kathy was Thursday. I accepted the suggested time and day (Thursday at 6p with Kathy). I walk in today for my appt at 6p (after driving 40 mins), only for the receptionist to say, 'oh I don't have you with Kathy today but we have someone very good for you'. I said 'is Kathy not here?' She said 'she has someone else right now'. How is that possible when my appt for today was booked with Kathy at 6p?!!! She said 'I can reschedule you with Kathy if you only want Kathy'. Well yes I requested Kathy when I called Tuesday, why wouldn't I want an appt with her?! Of course her schedule is full tomorrow So now I have an appt on the weekend in the middle of my day. Looks like I need to find a new place. I went to this place originally bc of a recommendation but today was totally unacceptable on every level. Anyone have a new place they can recommend for GelX??? read more

HORRIBLE!!! First and last time there. The lady at the front is extremely rude. Whole staff is rude you feel completely uncomfortable and unwelcome the entire time you're there. When it came time to leave no one knew the price of anything or could agree on what the price of my service should've been for a simple polish change on my toes. I knew what my price SHOULDVE been. The pricing on the website is different than the pricing on the brochure's in the salon, not like it matters anyway anyways they're gonna charge you whatever they want. THREEE people were at the front desk going back-and-forth with pricing. In the end I was totally overcharged, but I didn't care at that point. I just wanted to get out!!! read more

Manager lacked dispute resolution skills to address my concern & was not affective on appointment setting skills for accuracy three times! The manager was unethical and rude and refused to talk to me in person at the Scottsdale nail's location! She said three times" I will not talk to you, I will not talk to you, I will not talk to you"! As a Loyal Senior handicapped customer of over twenty years, I would expect an apology for her mismanagement of my appointment setting error, without discrimination & her lack of business ethics on putting others ahead of my scheduled appointments! I usually like this place but the last two times I've been for a dip manicure have been bad. The first time the guy put a gel top coat on top of the dip that peeled after four days and I had to go back to get it redone. The second time the lady I got made it so painful. When she was cutting my cuticles she just pulled them instead of clipping and then when she was shaving down my nails she kept nicking my fingers to the point where I had to pull my hands away twice and ask her to be more careful. read more

Bought a gift card for a friend's birthday. She left there feeling rushed and awful. They left $5 on the gift card which of course you can't use for tip or anything else. She saw them taking other people for a manicure then back to the pedicure chair. Meanwhile she one person twisted her up on pillows to do the manicure and the pedicure not only hurt her but she asked if they could just file her toe nails and the girl dug in and made them bleed anyway. I can't even believe that she was so upset. This isn't a girl that complains, so I am certain the experience had to be terrible. Super sad since they used to be a great place to go. Front desk lady put me with Cindy, I smiled she didn't smile back, took the drill and drilled so fast I thought she was in such a rush I might loose a finger. Bad nails, lumpy, messy around cuticles. Cindy was unfriendly, didn't want to hear how I would like my nail shape. Basically give them the money and get out so they can do another client!! Do NOT recommend her! read more

They charge $30 for gel on toes. Doesn't include shaping, cutting, no filling no take off of previous polish, no pedicure, simply just painting gel on my toes. It took them less than 8 minutes. Not to mention how stuck up and rude every worker is. How hilarious of a business . I'm surprised people still go here. I would have never gone there if i didn't have a gift card. I wish you could give 0 stars!!!! EWW read more

If you want almond nails, this salon is not it. Lillian in particular has no idea what she is doing. She rushes through her work, drills your nails down to paper thin and could snap at any touch, does a half ass job and I had to even ask for a third layer because it was too thin and the color was not solid. Pretty embarrassing that she would let clients leave with below average/mediocre work at best. She cannot do the almond shape to save her life, would highly recommend doing a training so she can learn how to do each shape consistently. read more

I used to go to Scottsdale Nails until 2 years ago. I came in for an appointment and there was a woman behind me that said she could not wear a mask because she had asthma. By then, most salons had lifted the mask requirement. I came to her defense and was denied service there. Oh well. I'm sure they have plenty of business, but I felt it was just wrong. So glad I tried this place out! I've been here three times and every person who has done my (acrylic with gel) nails has done a great job. I've never had any chipping or lifting at all. I can go almost three weeks between appointments and they look great still. Prices are very reasonable too especially for the area. read more

I was in such a happy mood because my son had just achieved a major milestone, so I was really looking forward to some self-care. The first day I came in for a manicure, the technician who worked on me was impatient, unfriendly, and rude. I brushed it off, assuming she was having a bad day. I returned the next day for a pedicure, hoping for a better experience. When I greeted the same technician, she ignored me while looking right at me. Another technician did my pedicure, but throughout my appointment, the first technician repeatedly stared at me. At one point she had her phone pointed in my direction. Later she pointed toward me while talking with another technician and they laughed while looking at her phone. She noticed I was wondering why, and she said something about her never wearing a bikini on a beach and said it was a photo of a woman on the beach wearing a bikini. Whether it was about me or not, it certainly felt that way, and it made me extremely uncomfortable and self-conscious. I even caught her staring at me with what felt like a hostile expression afterward. The manicure and pedicure themselves were well done, and I still tipped generously because that's what I always do. However, no client should leave feeling embarrassed or uncomfortable. A salon should be a place where people can relax, not wonder if they're being laughed at. Because of this experience, I won't be returning. I hope management takes customer service and professionalism as seriously as the quality of their work.

They were friendly, helpful, and precise with their high quality work. I got the gel pedicure #3 and dip powder nails with designs. I know I am not the easiest customer, so I appreciate all the advice and positive vibes. I wish I could afford to give them a bigger tip. They are amazing!

I've been to Scottsdale Nails twice, today was my second time. The first time I went I had a great experience and even started telling my friends to try it out. Today was a different story... I always get the same gel color and noticed they had it last time I was in which was 2 weeks ago. I looked for it forever through the endless bottles they have to choose from (shouldn't that be their job?) and was unable to find what I was looking for. I was told I could start my gel manicure and they would look for it later. I was not comfortable with that and told them I wanted a specific color and if they didn't have it I would like to go to the Nail salon I knew would have it. They finally found it and sat me down. Linda was my tech and she immediately began to file my polish off which I asked politely not to do since I've had issues with them being filed in the past creating brittle nails that bleed from being so thin. She argued with me and said soaking would take too long, she even had another nail tech try and talk to me about it. I continued to ask for it to be soaked off just like they did last time. For goodness sakes why is that such a difficult request??? Finally she did what I was asking and then would not stop telling me how wrong I was about the filing causing my nails to be so thin, painful and bleed. I told her she was not correct that since I've asked people not to file the color off I've had no problems. We went back and forth many times. She also kept walking away and talking on her phone then went to an area by the restroom where many other tech were standing around and all of them were laughing and one even pointed at me!!! I can't tell you how angry I was! Here I am paying for a service and am trying to be nice and had a few requests that were not that big of a deal. I don't think I will ever go back. I will go back to my previous salon and bring my friends with me! The only reason I gave 2 stars is because I had a better experience the first time or else it would be 1! read more

New to the area and being a frequent patron of nail salons, I decided to give Scottsdale Nails II a try because of convenience of location as I live very close by, but after a few visits I started to realize that this salon is like a market place rather than a relaxing environment i.e. technicians speaking in their foreign language very loudly while servicing clients, rushing through pedicures and manicures like an unpleasant assembly line and even worse my acrylics lifted only two to three days later! The technicians are extremely unfriendly to clients and didn't answer my questions OR do what I asked of them which is highly offensive to a client paying for services! It seems like they are miserable doing their work as nail technicians and I would not recommend them to anyone! Nor will I be back! In my search for a more enjoyable and higher quality salon experience I found Elite nails and this is the place for me, parking is ample, the environment is relaxed and Rose treated me so nicely! I really like this nail salon for several reasons: 1. Every tech does a great job. The salon was very clean, the decor was cute and on-trend. 2. They let your color dry in between coats which makes my manicures last longer than other places that go straight from base coat to color to top coat. I get regular manicures and last time it lasted. 3. They're open until 7pm, which is nice when I want to swing by after work. 4. I had a mani/pedi where they had 2 people work on me at the same time and they were finished within 40 minutes. Somehow they finish in a timely manner while still leaving plenty of time to dry between coats and let you relax afterwards in the massage chair for a bit, never making you feel rushed. 5. I've had were all very nice, professional, gave good mani/pedis and spoke to you and each other in English which I appreciated. 6. Consistent quality and good service. Quality products, strict sanitation practices Will definitely return to Elite when I'm back in Scottsdale. read more

This salon sucks. This is the first time and also the last time I come to this salon. They RUSH the client. They did not take time to do their job. I come there to have gel mani and pedi. They sent two technicians to do at the same time. That's fine. But, I pay $35 for a deluxe pedicure. I want to relax and enjoy it. But the technician (Heather) does it in 30 minutes. She only gives me 30 seconds massage. The deluxe pedicure was done 20 minutes before the gel manicure was done. This is ridiculous. I feel like this salon try to rush clients so they can squeeze more clients in. Hey, quality is more important than quantity. Also, technicians speak their own language a lot. I assume they are talking bad about me. If not, why don't they speak English. This is America. We communicate by English. Also, their spa chair is not clean. When they turn the water on, the callus (from previous client) floats. Nasty! read more

This place is awful. This is my first time I have been there. I will never come back there again. The receptionist (her name is Winnie) is very nice. She greets me nicely with sweet smile. I have a pedicure. Everything starts very nice until the technician (her name is Carol) hurts my toe. I told her that the nail clipper hurts me. She said it is not bleeding yet. And she keeps pushing my cuticles harder. She looks unhappy when I let her know that she is hurting me. She completes the pedi with a bad attitude. She polishes my toes, but very horrible. Worst pedicure ever. I complained with the receptionist. She apologizes and takes time to talk with me about what happened. She also offers me a great discount. I appreciate that but I will not change my mind. My feet has been hurt for two weeks. Now it is the time for me to get on yelp and make a review about this salon. read more

I tried this salon on my lunch hour I did not like this place. I'll tell you why. The moment i walked in, i felt like i was a piece of meat and all of these hungry wolves attacked me. I was overwhelmed by about 4 ladies. All trying to get me to do every possible service they offered. I politely said i just needed a manicure, and they insisted on gel, once lady stuck her hand about 1 inch from my face showing my her nails and that she had gel and that i should get it too. I do not like being pushed to get services, this for me made me want to run out of there. Oh, and after i started my manicure, they continued to ask me about the gel and about a pedicure etc. After i said no, i swear they said something about me in Vietnamese. The manicure was ok. Let's be honest here-- We don't get our nails done for the actual polish, it's the pampering that matters! That being said, I got a French tip spa pedicure. My nails came out decent enough though i haven't had them more than a couple a days so I'm not sure about chipping just yet. The color selection isn't that great and the bottles seem a little on the old side but this place isn't exactly expensive. We get seated about 15 minutes later, put our feet into the water, great temperature but our "massage" chairs do not turn on/vibrate/move at all! Well, that's weird but i guess not the end of the world. She sits down in front of me to turn on the jets and spends about 3-5 minutes turning it on to no avail! She simply gave up. read more

I just moved to the area. I go to this nail salon because it is convenience. After six or seven times, I noticed: Rude at the front desk, but more importantly, I did not feel the cleanliness like I do at other nail salons. I watched after the tech used the tools on me, she went to a sink at the wall and did who knows what. I assume she washed with water and soap if we're lucky!! She then went on the do the next pedicure. I did not witness any chemical cleaning of pedicure bowls in between people either. Just doesn't excite me to return! My mom and I have been loyal customers at this nail salon for over 15 years, but recently, the service has gone downhill. The staff is often rude, especially to younger clients. When I go without my mom, they frequently cancel my appointments, accuse me of having the wrong time, or tell me I had never even had an appointment scheduled even when I show the confirmation text. On top of that, the quality of pedicures has been poor every time. Overall, their attitude has become unprofessional and the service has completely fallen apart. I've been going to Scottsdale Nails for almost 2 years now. They are awesome and do a fantastic job on my nails. Ive never made an appointment with anyone because they are all awesome. But about a month ago Lynn did my nails and i just loved how she shaped them and got so many compliments. I have been getting my nails done at various places for a few years and never found someone who could do my nails just like I liked. Today I went to Scottsdale nails and saw LYNN and she was EXTRAORDINARY. I have never had a nail tech like her. She did everything I asked and was so patient and took her time with my nails. I received the absolute worst pedicure of my life. The tech literally just used a drill to take off old polish, and replaced with new polish. No pumice stone, no soap in bowl to soak feet. When I asked abt a callus on my toe, tech responded..." oh that skin, we don't do skin". Never had such an awful pedi experience in my life. Cindy is amazing! She can do excellent manicure with gel I would suggest her if you need a fill or a back fill. Amy is the best for pedicures since I get a lot of hang nails in my feet and she can get them all out. Make sure to call ahead for appointment with these two since they get booked fast. read more
