My husband and I went to Scotty P's Hamburgers for the first time today. The food was just 'okay' and definitely not worth the $20. Fountain drinks are overpriced at $1.99 each. I had the original hamburger and it had virtually no flavor to it whatsoever. My husband had to doctor his up with lots of mustard just to give it some flavor. The place was packed, and for some reason the staff had half of the restaurant's seating closed off. We won't be eating here again, I would choose Mooyah over Scotty P's anyday. read more

We have tried several of these locations and were not impressed at all. However, we have eaten here several times in the last few weeks and the food has been great and on every occasion the manager came around to check on us and ask how the food was. We have had the burgers the grilled chicken strips and the fried chicken strips and they were all great, first class. The only thing that really keeps him from from getting 5 stars is the seating is not the best and on a couple of occasions the seat in the booth had not been wiped out and there was food that we had to wipe out. read more

This place has really gone down hill. It feels like management or ownership has changed. The new staff is not very knowledgeable of the food and the owner/managers have bad attitudes to be working in the hospitality industry. My family used to go here just about once a week because it was good, fast and fairly consistent. The last 3 visits we noticed the food was not good, it was def not fast and zero consistency. Mushroom Swiss burger is excellent! One of the best burgers I've ever had. Service is slow, but not horrible.

If you want to taste a hamburger that tastes exactly like you made it out on your back porch, then save yourself $15 bucks and make it on your back porch. It was $30 for me, my husband, and three year old to eat here. The girls working the counter were rude, and the hamburger was uninspiring. The cheese fries were good, but didn't redeem the experience. I was embarrassed to have suggested the place and sick that we'd spent that much money on a burger. read more

The first time we came here, I was not very eager to return. I had the Turkey burger, no bun, and split sweet potato fries and regular fries. The turkey burger lacked any flavor and was nothing to rave about. However, Scotty P's doesn't skimp on the servings of fries. We returned about a month or two later to have dinner with my parents, and I got the Preston Trail burger. That will make me come back again. That chili was incredible. This isn't just a solid burger joint, but one with next level customer service. I recently came in with my two young children and ordered them a grilled cheese on wheat. We got our food and the kids were enjoying their grilled cheese without complaint when one of the waitresses came out to our table and showed me a grilled cheese "on inside bun" for the kids as a suggestion for next time. She even let us keep the extra food without charge. I was amazed at the kindness she showed to go that extra mile and make the suggestion when we were all very happy with our food. My young kids even recognized her demonstrating outstanding customer service. I believe her name is Elizabell. Great representation of the restaurant. We will be back! read more

Unfortunately this place has gone down hill big time. Horrible experience tonight. I will say the girls working tried their best and were very nice. But the guys in the back were messing up everything and they also weren't wearing gloves preparing food. GROSS!! They forgot half of our food. My full size salad only had 6 bites of grilled chicken on it. Way too much dressing. It's all I could taste and I even think they put the wrong dressing on it so I barely ate it. My husbands blue cheese dressing was horrible. Not at all the dressings, we remember. The burger my son got was not good and he didn't even want to finish it. When they finally brought the rest of our order which was to go it was on plates and they took it back to put it in to go containers and we never saw it again. I had to go to the counter and then they brought it back out again on a plate!!!!!!!!! I finally just asked for some to go boxes, When the guy Finally brought one of the salads in a to go container , I asked if dressing was on the side and he said yes! But I opened it and no dressing. My daughter did love her buffalo tenders. So that's why we gave it two stars. Hoping the owners. I guess maybe they are new. Will see this and make some changes or they will go under. :( read more

So the food is always amazing but the service tonight was sadly disappointing. We arrived at 745 to eat a quick dinner with all intentions to leave by 830. Closing time is 830. The employees where cleaning the areas that were unoccupied. When they came to our table Morgan who was the manager cleared our table without asking if we were through. Since if our plates had napkins on them but she took everything except the onion rings but took the ranch we were eating with them. She also reminded us that we had 8 minutes. So i guess we were done. We then went to the desk to hey more ranch to finish the delicious onion strings and mentioned that we need needed another because our table was cleared. Morgan then returned to the table to confront us and said something along the line line you guys were done and that is why i cleared the table. Never a sorry. Take your time, i apologize for the misunderstanding. Then starred at us all the way out. Including the young lady that was cleaning the floors mocking us as we left. I was so sad because we eat the at least once a week. So disappointed in how the acting manager handled this. Morgan please in the future asking if we where done or if you could take the plates is good customer service. Guess we will have to find a new burger joint. read more

Never coming here again. Poor service. Came in for the daily deal. Ordered two meals only got one discount. Told the manager about it. He said that was supposed to. E taken care of at the register and they aren't going to fix it. Also asked for ranch they pulled it off of someone's table they were cleaning off and handed it to us. First time in, I was pleasantly surprised by the tastiness of my turkey burger. However the service here is very slow. We came in on pretty slow evening just before closing and I was just on the verge of losing my patience when our order came up. I would probably eat here again, but not when it's busy. I have never had an issue with food, service, or ordering. There is plenty of parking and the burgers are delicious. I am not a huge fan of the onion rings but the fries are good. Burgers were grand, and heavy, and satisfying. My only complaint was that we intended to order individual burgers and then split a plate of fries and fried pickles, however the order taker upgraded us to burger platters (fires included for more cost) and then the separate fries and pickles side. I don't know if we were the victims of mis-communication, or forced up-selling. Burgers were ok, not bad, nothing to write home about. I did like the fried pickles best however. I don't give too many places 5 stars, but this place had a really great burger, fries, and service. My burger had plenty of flavor between some light seasoning and the taste of the flame broiling. My fries were cooked just right to be crispy on the outside but soft on the inside. The single patty burger was plenty of food. I didn't experience anything that some of reviewers have posted previously regarding lack of flavor and I wouldn't complain about getting too much food. Oh Scotty Ps. We have been coming here for 16 years (both Frisco locations). Yesterday was our last. This place use to be really good now the service is bad and slow. They get your order wrong most every time we come. Now the quality of the meat is just bad and the prices are very high. Now that Shake Shack is here there is no reason to go to Scotty Ps unless you want some fried pickles or onion straws. I see they are putting a bar in, I guess business is not going so well so you can at least have a drink. Sorry guys, you use to be a staple. read more

Disappointing experience today. We ordered on line. When we got our order home the cardiac fries were missing all of the toppings. We had ordered BBQ sauce and jalapeños as extras for one hamburger and that is all that was on the hamburger. When they get it right the food is great and maybe the best onion rings in the area. I have been going to lunch at the Scotty Ps on Preston in Frisco for years. The food is great and it is an excellent value for your $$$. I am super excited that they finally expanded up to NORTH Frisco on Eldorado! The staff is always courteous and our food has come out fast! We eat there about once a week and often pick up to-go orders as well. Scotty Ps has the best hamburgers around - can't be beat! read more
