We visited here on a Saturday around 4:00pm and it wasn't particularly packed. More seating outside but it's hot as heck! Staff were super friendly and helpful. The cheeseburgers and tater tots were great, but what made my meal was the Mexican Vanilla scoop of ice cream lol the flavor took me back to my childhood. Overall it's an excellent establishment that we'll definitely be visiting again during our time in Frisco.

My husband and I both ordered the Daddy We finally made it out to Dad Jokes Cheesy Burgers for a Wednesday lunch, and wow... this place lives up to the hype! The first thing we noticed was how packed it was. We always love seeing a small business thriving, and this place was buzzing with happy customers. As we looked around, we started spotting all the awesome 80s and 90s collectibles and memorabilia, which made the atmosphere so much fun. Then we noticed the incredible selection of root beer and cream soda flavors, making it even harder to decide what to try! My husband and I both ordered the Daddy Stack, featuring two juicy beef patties on a perfectly toasted bun. I have to give them extra credit for toasting the bun. It seems like so many places skip that step these days, and once the condiments soak into the bread, the whole burger starts falling apart. A toasted bun makes such a difference, and this burger held together beautifully from the first bite to the last. One thing we noticed on the menu was that they offered chili and fries separately, but not chili cheese fries. We asked if they could make some anyway, and they happily did. They were absolutely delicious and the perfect addition to an already fantastic meal. From the friendly service to the nostalgic atmosphere and seriously tasty food, this place exceeded our expectations. We will definitely be back! If you have not been yet, it is absolutely worth the trip to Frisco. Go hungry, and do yourself a favor by ordering the Daddy Stack!

This is such a great local place to visit. They have a nice outside area with picnic tables. Inside there are a few booths and tables. The staff was very friendly and asked us how the food was, as well as if they could bring us anything else. I love that kind of customer service. The burgers were good- you can tell they are homemade and not frozen junk. Definitely try the tots.

Dad Jokes Cheesyburger is a burger joint that combines two of my favorite things: awesome burgers and awesome Dad Jokes. The menu is simple and delicious and the perfect example of knowing exactly what you want to deliver and executing it perfectly. My Overall Rating - 5 Stars (Atmosphere, Service, Food, Return) Atmosphere - Located in Frisco, Dad Jokes Cheesyburger is worth the drive from Dallas County. The restaurant's indoor seating is very small, but the outdoor seating when the weather is nice (March or October) adds to the laid-back vibe that caters to everyone from families to hardcore burger lovers. 1 Star. Service - This is counter service with a smile! The staff will take your order, you get your own drinks, and when your name is called your food is ready. On my visit I got to meet the great Clayton (owner/proprietor/dad joke expert). He was super nice, told me a dad joke, and he is a great follow on Instagram. 1 Star. Food - Dad Jokes Cheesyburger caught my attention because of the OK Burger. This popular burger smashes onions directly into the patty. I made mine a double and was rewarded with a big, juicy, beefy bite with onion flavors that complemented (not over-powered) the bite. I paired with the Smoked Tots. These super crunchy and tasty tots are paired with chili, chives, and smokey BBQ sauce. It's hard to top tots - unless you top it with chili. It was less of a side or more of a hearty side dish - a perfect complement to my OK Burger. 2 Stars. Will I Return? - Yes. I heard about the OK Burger and made the 40-minute drive from Irving-Las Colinas to Frisco. Not only would I repeat the drive, but I would also invite my friends to join me and for some tasty bites and jokes. I hope they don't get EXHAUSTED. 1 Star.

I saw this place on yelp and I was very curious of the buffalo tots so I figured I'd swing by and give them a shot. They definitely impressed. I brought my family here on a Saturday night around 6pm and the line was out the door. We got to the counter and the cashier was very pleasant. I ordered the chicken Sammy and a hot dog for my wife, the double stack with bacon and buffalo tots for myself and the ok onion for my daughter. There isn't much seating on the inside, approximately 6-8 tables but there is a ton of seating outside. We sat down and about 10 minutes later our food was ready. The double stack with bacon was great. I really enjoyed the dad sauce. That was delicious. The buffalo tots are amazing! What a combination. I could eat these all day. I had a bite of my wife's "ok sammy" and the meat was tender. If they had a fried option I'd love it. Overall this place was great. When I return to Texas this place will be a must stop. The burgers are good and the tots are great! You won't be disappointed.

Been looking for a good mom and pop burger shop here in Frisco and finally found one. Great service, great burger, and great tater tots.

Dad Jokes absolutely delivers. I got the double cheeseburger and honestly, the burger is the star of the entire place. It has this perfect mix of smash-style crisp with the thickness and flavor of a proper diner burger. Tons of flavor without being overly greasy -- just one of those burgers that hits the second you take a bite. Fries were... fine. Nothing crazy. But I didn't even care because the burger carried the whole experience. The place was busy when I went, which should tell you everything you need to know. Seating is minimal, borderline rough, but the staff was super friendly and never made me feel rushed. Even with the crowd, the service was quick and everyone seemed genuinely happy to be there. At the end of the day, it's a 5-star spot for me because the burger just hits. Plain and simple. If you want a legit great burger, this is the move.

Great Burger, Great Atmosphere, Super Friendly staff, Lots of parking, Picnic tables out front, Just about the most perfect fun burger joint around and it's right down the street from me. Im such a lucky guy. FIVE STARS

If we were friends sitting across a table and you asked me where to get a burger? DAD JOKES!!! Ya have to go! I'm not a burger person, I'd much rather chicken but I'm craving it already. The patty itself was big (they don't skimp you like McDonald's does), it tasted like actual beef, and was seasoned well. The fries were delicious too. And then of course, everyone receives a nice dad joke on their tray which is actually really cool for starting conversation or sharing a laugh with your group. It was pretty small in the building, which is totally okay but I bet the patio would be awesome. The food came out fast. Nobody disliked what they got. Owners are great too! Get this on your list we're officially taking people all of the time now!

Of course I have a great weakness for burgers and this place is dangerous to my arteries. But it's so worth it. It's a bit snug indoors but don't let that fool you because they have a big outdoor seating area with games for the family. It was hilarious watching kids play games at the table and seeing their siblings annihilate them. Personally, I thought it was so sweet that seeing how there are regulars coming in and chatting up the owner. Of course the burgers themselves are fantastic but I have to say, the tots are the hidden gem of the menu. Overall a wonderful welcoming place with equally delightful food.

Will I go back, yes, will I give an honest review, yes. I ended up here on a Sunday night at around 7:30 PM. I've been wanting to try but just been waiting to be in the mood for a burger, well today was the day. So when I got there, it appeared that there was about 5 to 6 other people waiting for their food but I kinda didn't notice as most of the people were outside. Either way, I don't mind waiting. I did order a double cheeseburger and I stated I wanted American cheese, pickles, raw onion, mayo . Unfortunately, after waiting at least 30 - 40 minutes, I got a double cheeseburger with lettuce, no mayo but onion was on it. I'm not one for hot lettuce and well it's not the biggest deal. It's not really easy to get off your burger when it's kind of melted into the cheese. Did I eat my whole burger, yes, I was starving! One thing I will say I think for the double cheeseburgers the bun could've been a touch bigger. I started to eat my first half of my burger, and my bottom piece of bun was already almost gone. I chose to get fries with no salt and the reason is because I know I'm gonna have a lot of salt in all the other items. That's why I do it. Were the fries anything to write home about no. There's definitely room for improvement. You want a person to come back for your burger but you also want them to come back for those fries and it wasn't because there wasn't any salt. It was the fries themselves. They should be straight cut fried but bigger, so when you bite them, there is still potato inside. Ketchup on fries with a burger is iconic. I did try the Dad's Signature sauce (on the side) which is like 1000 island, it was tasty, I think it could be a tad less thick but I would add to my burger again. Inside is definitely small but I was looking enough to grab a two seater table as it was pretty chilly outside. The workers were friendly. The only thing I will say again is when a person does order something a certain way it's kind of imperative to get that order right. Could I have given the burger back yet but I wouldn't be that dramatic over the letters it's not something I'm allergic to. It's just I don't like it on a hot cheeseburger and again I was hungry. They have ice cream but I had no room, next time I will try. Most people did get a cone though while I was there. Great choice of cold glass sodas as well.

Yelp 100 Challenge 2025 #54 Dad Jokes Cheeseburger serves a joke with every entree and side. It's a cozy little restaurant with most of the seating located outside. I'm not a fan during the summer, but during the fall and spring I wouldn't mind the outdoor seating. This restaurant specializes in smash burgers with a few different variations of burgers. Open Wednesday - Sunday Ordered online for pick up and waited in line a few to pay. Overall the food was delicious.

I was wondering what all the rave was about with a simple burger joint. Dad Jokes is not just any typical burger joint; it's a hilarious one! They have jokes pinned all over the restaurant and jokes come with each meal. If you have a joke, you can write it down and post it on the wall. We tried the Smoke Stack, Salad, Hot Dog, Fries, and Buffalo Tots. The Smoke Stack was a spectacular double patty with the juiciest blend of meats on buttery buns. I opted out of the BBQ sauce but it still had a hint of sweetness. The kiddos enjoyed the Cheeseburger and Hot Dogs along with the Mac and Cheese. We also were big fans of the Buffalo Tots. I thought the fries could have used a bit more crisp and the Jalapeño Ranch needed a bit more of a punch. Other than that, we had a fabulous experience. Whenever we're craving burgers, we'll be back!

The fried pickles were sliced longways (idk how else to describe it but they were flat and wide, not like pickle chips), and it was the perfect ratio of batter to pickle--super crunchy! The burgers themselves are thick, cooked to your preferred temp, and there are lots of toppings to choose from. Rodeo Goat seems more of a schtick theme. We started with the "Steaming Pile," which is basically characterized as bacon-cheese tots with additional goat cheese & a sunny side up egg. The egg was properly cooked. The portion was small for $10. It's really not a shareable size for more than two light eaters. There was zero hint of truffle oil. The Cowboy Cobb salad was a healthy portion, and all was good except for two things: the "jalapeño croutons" were not crispy in any way - they were like what would happen if a mushy hush puppy and tempura batter had a love child and it wrapped itself around an uncivilized jalapeño trying to socially climb. The second was that the burger patty had no cheese (why bother?) & I know it was an add-on. I ordered the Inspector Clousseau. Not much of a smash on the over-cooked patties. And, yes, I know what to expect from smash burger, but again, these patties were two the thickness of anything I've ever seen called a smash burger. More importantly, the pan sauce poured over the entire plate was cold and congealed. Generally, the flavor was okay. The service was nice, but at premium prices, I'm looking for elevated effort from the kitchen.

No high fructose corn syrup here. The burger was actually much better than I expected. I thought it was quite delicious, and the ingredients were quite fresh. The portion size was good, too. The fries were good, but they weren't the standouts in this meal. The burger and the orange-cream soda were more memorable. Although the place was very clean, and I was sitting indoors, where there are lots of tables and bar seating, there was one aggravation: aggressive fruit flies that have no fear of humans, so it was nearly impossible to swat them away. Thankfully, they were not mosquitoes, but it was impossible to keep them from crawling on my cup and food no matter where I sat in the large dining room room. Although the burger was good, prices are probably a bit high for what you get. That together with the fruit flies resulted in my three-star rating. If you can find a day when the flies are calmer, and you're not paying out-of-pocket (as was the case when I went), it might be worth a try if you are needing a quick meal within walking distance of your hotel.
