Stopped in for lunch and were surprised they had only been open 3 days. Art the owner greeted us and made us right at home. They had a bunch of employees being trained on their order system. Ok - nice place, excellent service - but we're here for the food. And here they fail big time. First off, they are serving the same coffee from the previous place - Segafredo - which is not very good. Among the worst I have ever had served at a restaurant. Pancakes were decent but way over flavored with vanilla or some other ingredient that hung on the tongue. Meats were the big downfall. They tasted like they had been sitting around in the cold grease too long which imparted a bad taste. Perhaps hitting it on the grill before serving would be of great benefit. Bacon, which I was assured was top Applewood, was sort of soggy which maybe proves my point. Owner was incredibly helpful and wanted to offer something else but what's going to change? The point is that this place is being way overrated. I can make and beat everything I sampled at home. It's a standard breakfast place - average at best. Visit accordingly. read more

It has been nearly a month since I have been here and I am remembering the incredible lemon curd and blueberry french toast!!! The best!!!

We have been to Scrambler 4 times and every time the food, service and atmosphere has been amazing. Our favorite waitress is Kristin. We love this place and I've gone here so many times it's always our perfect spot for a quick local brunch.

Delicious! So glad we stumbled upon this amazing breakfast spot right here in Murphy! Had the chicken fried steak and it was crispy perfection. Son had the pancakes I only got a bite but loved the hint of vanilla. Bacon was perfectly cooked as were the eggs. Oh and do yourself a favor and opt for the cinnamon toast for your toast choice. Watched them seat couples before ne that came in after me, one couple told them to seat me first since I came in before them and the hostess told them "he's just one, it's fine, we'll seat you first". There was a little bit of a wait (and I don't like lines) but I gutted it out for about 15 minutes and it was totally worth it. I had steak and eggs, and both were cooked to perfection. Hashbrowns, perfect. I had some marble rye bread with butter, fantastic. I don't even remember what my wife had but she loved it as well. If you go and there's a long line, don't fret. Stay and you won't regret it. They turn tables really fast. Not sure what the others on here got, but my eggs Benedict was excellent. The hash browns were good, though a little inconsistent around the table (one was less crispy, but still tasty). But the cinnamon French toast was spot on. As was the breakfast burrito. And it was even too much food for my youngest boy, which is saying something. The cafe itself is beautiful when you walk in. All the staff we interacted with was pretty friendly on a Saturday morning. The restaurant uses a tablet to order which is nice because it usually means the order is correct and the order goes it right away and comes out faster, which is what happened. All the food our party of seven ordered was hot and VERY GOOD! The portions are large if you don't mind sharing. We will always visit here if we decide to go out for breakfast. Also, we ordered the very berry pancakes and it comes with strawberry syrup and I usually hate that stuff at like ihop or something but theirs is seriously dreamy; not too sweet and perfectly flavored. read more

Just had an amazing experience at Scrambler cafe. First off service was ON POINT. They weren't busy necessarily but it wasn't slow either. Server greeted us within 20 seconds of us sitting down, got our drinks in about 30-45 seconds and was excellent at getting us anything extra we asked for or asking us specific questions about anything else we needed. Food came out in less than 10 minutes and was hot and fresh. I had the Hash Stack (outstanding) and my girlfriend had the Chicken Fried Steak (also outstanding). Gravy was excellent and paired well with the hash, the eggs for the chicken fried steak came out exactly how we asked - over medium. This was a really cute place. We had breakfast on a Saturday morning and it was a lovely experience. I had the avocado toast with lox and my daughter had the the cinnamon roll pancakes. My breakfast was very good and fresh. The cinnamon roll pancakes was the best pancakes we've ever tasted! It was like the gooey yummy part of a cinnamon roll in pancake form.
