Korean Fried Chicken Sliders & Chicken Potstickers
    Juliana N.

Never heard of this hidden gem! Scratch wings catered at my apartment & that's when I discovered their Korean chicken 5 mins from my location. The chicken was packed with Korean favor with a mix of sweet and spicy. I am a huge fan now & would def stop by for some Korean flavor wings!

I was really excited to check this place out . Everything I ordered was freshly made and served hot . I got the two flavor ten piece . The staff was friendly and attentive . Wings are big and not tiny. Seating at the restaurant can hold about 15 -18 people. While ima lover of an almost all things chicken, I wasn't blown away with the food . Very crispy and fresh, however I had better at other stops . I will give this place another try to update my review and give clear honest opinions.

Kimcheese Fries Korean & Fried Chicken Sliders

First off, the food was 10/10, so delicious!!!! Absolutely no notes on the food! However, the service and location are another story. We went on a Friday evening, and when we arrived there were only 2 people in there, but within 5 minutes the entire restaurant was PACKED! There was nowhere for us to sit. Eventually a door dasher left and we took his table but people just kept coming in and the place quickly filled up. It was a little claustrophobic. This is absolutely not the business's fault, but if you're planning to visit, be aware that the space is extremely small and doesn't accommodate a lot of people. While we were there, there was only 1 woman working in the front and it seemed like only 1 cook in the back. The woman had to take walk-in orders, pack to-go and delivery orders, run food to tables, and serve the guests in the restaurant as well. There definitely needs to be at least 1-2 more people working in the front. As someone who has been in that position, I know it's extremely difficult to provide good service while working alone, you could tell she was trying her best. With the lack of staff, the wait for the food was pretty long but definitely worth it. I got the Kimcheese Fries, and my boyfriend got the Korean Fried Chicken Sliders. Everything was delicious, and the bang bang sauce and dill pickle ranch-- I'm obsessed! Overall, 10/10 for the food--I'll definitely be back! If they just had a bigger space and more staff, they'd easily be 5 stars.

Found this spot super last minute on a Saturday night. They were not super busy and got our order pretty quick and the food prep was quick! Friendly front desk staff, recommended wings customers really like. This restaurant takes a unique twist to wings, really gives it a beautiful Korean flavor and style of cooking. - The fried pickles IMO, were a bit too salty for me, the batter was good and the ranch/bang bang sauce were great, but the saltiness really threw me off. 3/5 - The seasoned fries were good, nice and fresh. Paired well with my wings. 5/5 - The Wet Lemon Pepper (Spicy) were very good, I actually really enjoyed the citrusy flavor of the lemon paired with the spice level (I really enjoy spicy food). To some people this may be a bit too citrusy but definitely worth a try. Like I said, this restaurant really gives their food a nice twist to it. 5/5 - The Korean Sweet N Spicy was not my favorite (sorry no picture). It was a pretty basic flavor for me and wasn't spicy IMO. It was nicely cooked and paired well with the shrimp that we ordered with it, but it didn't make me want more. 3/5 * The bang bang sauce is amazing, it's a spicy mayo flavored sauce. Really good with the shrimp. Overall great experience, I'd definitely come back for the wet lemon pepper (spicy) wings.

Ordered wings with fries and a side of the cheesy Cajun corn. The wings were flavored well, they were crispy wet and not dry rub. They were so tasty I didn't use the ranch dressing! Fries were seasoned and the corn was good. The young girl working the register was cordial and informative when I told her it was my first time there. The location is very casual, small space with a dine in option. Parking is no issue. Four stars instead of five because I didn't get napkins or utensils in my to-go bag. I'd recommend for a quick wing fix! The other menu items looked good so I'll most likely go back to try them later.

My husband and I have came here three times in the past week and a half and everything we've tried has been amazing! 10/10 my favorite flavor flavor so far is the Korean sweet and spicy! We will definitely keep coming back to try out new items. They also told me that the kimchi is house made and you can tell in the fried rice, it was super flavorful but not overwhelming. The service is always great from the moment you walk in to asking questions about the menu, to waiting for your food. The workers are very patient and they do give you a heads up that it will take 15-20 minutes since they double fry the wings to give it the perfect crunch. Everything was hot even after we went home to eat it. On the days we ate it inside they would always check up on us which was a really nice touch. Definitely recommend coming here!

Ordered food to go. Very quickly made. Wings had a Korean influence. Delicious Small seating area. People standing in line to order. You can watch how hard the cooking staff is working through their open window. Definitely will be back.

Perfectly fried chicken, sliders are amazing and you really can't find onions rings like this anymore. Everything was so good!! 10/10 recommend

So, I didn't realize this was a Korean wing place until I got inside and saw the menu. I'd heard good things about this place, but it's a long way from me. But I finally just decided to drive over one day for lunch. It's a hole in the wall, inside is pretty sparse, nothing fancy, with a couple of four seaters, and a couple of two seaters. I decided to eat here since it was a ways back to work and I was worried the food would get cold. In hindsight, I had plenty of time to get back, as these wings are truly scratch made and right out of the fryer onto your plate. Hot. I got the six piece bone in combo with seasoned fries and drink. No soda fountain here, everything is can or bottle. I went with the Bourbon Butter wings because the pics and reviews online raved about them. It took a little while, but my order came out about 10-15 minutes later. As I said, the wings are hot. I had to let them cool a little. Once I got to digging in, these were some of the best Korean wings I've ever had. They are good sized, larger than your average wing. The bourbon butter was sweet and you could taste the bourbon flavor. Really good stuff. The seasoned fries, even though it was obvious they had some seasoning on them, didn't really have much taste to me. Kinda bland, but maybe it's just me. However the wings here are the stars of the show. There are other things on the menu which has several other options. I wish they did a crab fried rice. Been trying to find another good version of that since my other go to place in Hurst, Keeks, moved to Keller a few years ago. (sniff) I always thought Keeks had the best, this place is their equal, if not a little better. Well, I wish it was closer, if it was, I'd already been back a couple more times. However, when I get the chance, or craving, I will certainly go back. I've been to the chain Korean chicken places and none of them are even close to how good this place is.

I really wanted to love this place but sadly, I didn't. For the wings to be double fried, they didn't have much crunch nor flavor. The sauces tasted a bit weird and I didn't really like either. The service was good though and the restaurant itself is pretty cute.

I could be really wordy and say a bunch of really artsy whimsical things about how good this chicken is... but just go eat the chicken! We met both owners of Scratch wings and they are warm and welcoming even during a lunch rush! I had the sweet and spicy wings... if you want spicy I'd make them "angry". But the lemon pepper, bruh... fml. Don't leave without getting lemon pepper wings.

The food is amazing. We shared the Texas loaded fries which could feed an army . Everything was good from the wet lemon pepper wings to the potstickers! Not to mention the churros so delicious! The staff definitely deserves an applause for the outstanding service

We stopped in one evening and Rasham was bartending while Mia was shadowing on her first day but her actions let us know she's an industry pro - which she was. They both gave great recommendations for food and drinks. We got Nepali Reaper Momos, Sichuan momos, chicken chow mein, mango habanero tofu, an old fashion and a strawberry margarita. Everything was flavorful, but my favorites were the Nepali-style fries, the sichuan momos, and the chicken chow mein. The reaper momos were good but they were pretty spicy (coming from people who ordered most of the spicy things on the menu haha). The interior was ornate and beautiful but again, the service is what couldn't be beat. Rasham went above and beyond to provide an experience for us showering us with bubbles for a nice photo and adding some flare and glitter to my strawberry margarita. Mia was knowledgeable of their menu and overall nice to talk to while we sat and ate at the bar. Definitely recommend this place and can't wait to come back soon!

But, as Happy Lamb Hot Pot demonstrates, things that are great in theory aren't always that way in practice, Here's how it works. The first step is to choose a soup base from about half a dozen varieties. You can have one, two or three different types in the same pot (although adding a third will cost extra). Then you choose meat: chicken, beef, lamb or pork. They also offer some premium cuts of beef for an additional fee. Once those are ordered, you visit the buffet where there's a wide selection of seafood, vegetables, sauces and even some foods that don't go into the hot pot, like chicken wings, sesame balls and fried rice. While I loved the fact that there were so many options, it quickly became apparent that some were much better than others. For example, the chicken and lamb were fine, but the non premium beef we got was not the best quality. The seafood and vegetables from the buffet were fresh and plentiful. However, the items that were not hot pot-able left something to be desired, like spring rolls that were cold in the middle, or dried out, overcooked fried dumplings. Our group was big enough to use separate hot pots at our table for a total of 4 soups. The Thai Tom Yum soup base was hands down the best and most flavorful of them all. The worse was the original marrow broth, which had a pungent sour flavor that basically made it inedible. I'm sure through trial and error a fantastic meal could be constructed from what's available here. But, for the price, I won't be in big hurry to return and make the effort.
