Very secure rv storage. Far off the highway. Well concealed space. Can't see that there is Rv storage behind the security gate.

I needed temporary storage for my 42' fifth wheel. This was on short notice. Needless to say, there are not many places in the San Diego area that can accommodate a 42' RV. I googled RV storage near me and started going down the list. After calling seven or eight places I started to loose hope. Kathy was the person that answered the phone and was incredibly kind, happy and eager to help. All the necessary documents were handled via email and within 20 minutes of calling we had secured a spot. The storage facility was easy to access and get in and out of even with our gigantic rig. If we ever need RV storage again we will definitely return to Scripps Mesa Storage. read more

The RV storage is a great storage lot safely located behind two gates. The lot is easy to access and the spots are perfect width with many lengths available, all for a reasonable cost. The owners are great to work with and very organized. Can't recommend enough. Thanks! read more

I read a review on another website and I just so happen to be looking for a storage place closer to our house. WOW! I called and got a machine but they called me back in less than an hour!!! SUPER FRIENDLY on the phone...didn't try and "sell" me just answered my questions. I was so impressed I was in my car and on my way! Was greeted by Ann in the office, GREAT LADY! She reviewed the prices with us SUPER INEXPENSIVE!!! AND b/c I told her I was told to mention an ad I saw I would get $20 off she said if we followed on FB, we would get a free lock..that's a $20 value!! Who is honest these days when trying to earn your business!?!?! She was!!! ANDDD no tricky $1 for the first month and $100 for each month after....they guarantee your price for the first year and IF they raise it it's only $3-$5/month for the next year...COMMON' u can't beat that!!! The storage facility isn't HUGE so you know they know EVERYONE who comes and goes...why...because the family who owns it LIVES ON PROPERTY!!! We got a smaller storage 5' x 8' but it was PERFECT! Easy to get in and out, clean....both stairs and elevators to get to the storage. I am in aweee... CUSTOMER SERVICE WAS SUPERB!! I have a unit here for a couple of decades and they treat me very well. The place is always clean and staff willing to help if needed.

Scripps Mesa Storage is hands down the best storage facility I've ever used! Ann and Kathy in the office are top notch!! I contacted them two days ago and I got the keys to my new 10x10 today! Over the past 18 years I've rented 4 different units at 4 different times. They still have great rates, great security and great customer service!!! Bonus: now they are contactless and everything to get set up online is very easy peasy! read more

I don't know if you can find better storage units for the prices at Scripps Mesa Storage. Or better customer service. I went in to get a 5x5 and it seemed like discounts were just heaped on me (I'm a student and I have another unit with Scripps Mesa). In the end I got a 5x5 for a bargain price. Later I get a call from them telling me that there were issues with my unit's door that required repairs. They offered to let me upgrade to a 5x6 for the same price as the 5x5. Awesome! Because it's privately owned, they can have a lot of leeway with their tenants. They let me get through the gate even though I came after closing time. One night, I accidentally spilled some primer in the hallway (I'm talking massive white puddle, splatter on the walls...) and while my friend and I were cleaning it up, they brought us drinks and then didn't charge us for any damages. Just told us we did the best we could and let us go. Absolutely wonderful customer service. read more

Until I moved away from San Diego, I continued to use Scripps Mesa Storage as it was an excellent choice. It is well managed and I felt my belongings were secure. We stored our motorhome for 2 weeks while visiting family in San Diego. All went well and we would use this lot again. There is a resident on sight who keeps a watch on the vehicles and we talked with him. Our motorhome was behind locked gate and we had 24/7 access using a gate code. The office staff was also great. Man this place has good rates! I originally found out about this place through the UCSD student paper back in 2008. I ended up renting here, and then again, and recommending it to several people too. The storage place itself is your average storage place : Clean, quite usable, good spaces, multiple useful elevators and hours and schedules are quite good... however.. what makes this place different are the employees. They are absolutely wonderful and they remember your name ! (they remembered me from years before!). Also, their rates are typically way lower than elsewhere (I paid nearly a 100 a month for another place and half for this place - although you should check the rates for yourself dependent on the space and your situation - UCSD students get a REALLY good discount). read more

Great service, used to be the cheapest around but they recently increased their prices so you might find a better deal out there, not by much though. Very safe place, they have elevator lifts for second floor, always nice and great to work with since I'm always forgetting my stupid gate code. read more

Kathy, at Scripps office site was great! Very personable and helped me find exactly what I needed. The location is a little obscure, but even closer to my area, to find but I was handed excellent printed instructions. The gentleman on site ( Sorry, I forgot your name) was most helpful. He thoroughly explained how they work, that help is available at ANY time and I feel very confident my motor home is secure. Sure, the rates are good, but what does that matter if your stuff is stolen? I stored my trailer with them with the assurance that there was "always a night watchman." I parked my trailer in their yard on Kearney Mesa loaded for an upcoming trip. The trailer was broken into and damaged severely. I lost two mint condition dirt bikes out of the trailer and various other items like helmets, etc. When I asked where the night watchman was, I was told "he had the night off." Other trailers sustained worse damage and theft on the night in question. They have no security cameras and the back fence is easy to cut and roll your prized possessions down a hill to the highway. I was told by the police officer that took the report that "it happens there all the time." If you choose this yard to store your toy box or any other type of trailer with anything of value, good luck. You're going to need it. Oh, by the way, they have since dramatically increased their rates "for insurance reasons," though they will make you sign a disclaimer that they aren't responsible for any loss or damage. So, they aren't even a bargain anymore. DO NOT STORE ANYTHING WITH THESE PEOPLE AT THEIR KEARNEY MESA LOT!!!! read more

The staff here is incredible! I recently had everything stolen from my storage unit - no fault of the storage facility. It was totally my fault. Everyone was so kind and helpful in finding out what happened. Because of the incredible security they have onsite and the video footage from their cameras there was an arrest made the very next day after I discovered the crime. Even the police officer told me how amazing their security is and how much better it is than every other storage facility he's ever seen. I would definitely recommend this storage facility to anyone looking for a safe, friendly place to store their valuables. read more

As an individual and corporation, we have had excellent service storing our equipment, supplies, etc at Scripps Mesa Storage for the past twelve (12) years. Accessible, secure, good customer service. Previous storage units have had fires, theft, neighbor drama. Facility, grounds are always orderly, clean. Recently met one of my customers outside the storage area and entered to view some equipment, he was very impressed with the security, accessibility.
