Mahi Mahi tacos
Ann K.

Delicious Mahi Mahi tacos. Wait was about 35mins fora Friday eve. Large portions and Caesar side salad also good. Gave it 4 stars for the server. She was nice but kinda left us hanging in the end.

Ok so I came from Vegas for that Bloody Mary! I like to travel for these monsters! It was $175 for the Category 5. I split it with 3 of my friends. Comes with 2 grilled cheese, bacon, 1lb of jumbo shrimp, 2 lobster tails and 2 lbs of snow crab! All of the seafood was good! The bloody was fine, nothing to write home about and the service was good! We also ordered the smoked fish dip which I really enjoyed. I love the view of the water and it had a fun outdoor beach vibe. The only thing I DID NOT like about that Bloody Mary was the SWEET pickles!!!! I love my pickles dill. SWEET pickles in that is just a no no! The only thing I would add to that is some kinda meat like a filet or something

My son and I walked to Sculley's from the beach while we were in the area recently. We were originally going to go to a different restaurant because they had a better Yelp rating but then changed our mind and had lunch here because of the outdoor setting. It was more of the vibe we were looking for. We scanned the Yelp reviews to see what menu items were recommended by other reviewers. My son ordered the Cowboy Burger with fries and I ordered the Mahi Mahi tacos with the kettle chips. My son said the burger was good but on the spicy side given it has jalapeños on it. The Mahi Mahi tacos did not disappoint. There were 3 tacos. I felt they were pretty filling as I could only eat 2 of them. My son ate the last one which he enjoyed. The kettle chips were amazing. Our server Tanya was super nice, checked on us multiple times, and let us sit there longer than I would say is normal because we were enjoying the view and good conversation. My take away from this experience was that we were glad we read some of the other reviews so our experience turned out great.

Meh.. we did a cute little day trip to St, Pete's and visited Sculley's mainly to enjoy the water view and of course expecting a delicious meal. The water views are amazing, you can see plenty of water traffic, jet skis, boats, sail boats, and many pelicans/seagulls. The food was the 'meh' part of the day, i got fish tacos, the filling was 80% lettuce & the fish was def not fresh, we also got a chicken quesadilla that was okay, but was brought cold. I would recommend you visit for the views & maybe have a beer? Not so much for the food... staff were nice, seemed to be knowledgeable, but the food took about 45 mins to be served..

Had lunch with family during spring break. We walked up. Didn't have reservations and they sat us right away. It was before the lunch rush. We sat outside on the deck on the water. The view and breeze was great. Drinks were also good. Our waitress was friendly and funny. We did the wedge salad and seafood boils. We were a party of 4. We all had a different one and I shared with my 10yr old. We had crab legs for days. I also got the prawn. It was bigger than my hand. Lol Come hungry. OMG it was so good. Opted for the hot Sculley's sauce. It's the blend of all 3. I was very pleased. I will be back because I need to see my husband tackle the large Bloody Mary with 2 lobster tails and 2 grill cheese sandwiches. If you try before me. Let me know.

We go back and forth on this restaurant as it is an excellent location, especially for dolphin watching and people watching. We are never overly excited about our meals whether it be lunch or dinner, but we always go back as this is the best option for this area. We tried brunch for the first time and ordered the country eggs Benedict and the shrimp and grits. The grits were good but the poached eggs were hard boiled and very dry and the hashbrowns were over cooked/burnt and only tasted of burnt grease. I also ordered a mimosa and it was only orange juice. We decided to have a few beers while we enjoyed the weather outside, but disappointed all beer is in cans, no draft options. You get what you expect. Great location but not amazing food. It is fun watching the dolphin tours and pirate ship.

One of the best gems of Johns Pass. It has a great ambiance and beautiful waterfront views. The service has always been excellent. I do love the food here, especially if you are in the mood for a custom seafood boil. The food and drinks are super delish, and the main meals are really yummy. I wasn't the biggest fan of the appetizers we ordered; they were pretty average. Definitely still one of my favorite places to grab a bite, watch the sunset, and if you're lucky, see some dolphins.

Visiting Sculley's for their Madeira Beach Burger Week '25 official offering "The Cowboy Burger" and am extremely glad we did Our Outstanding Server Kayla C was friendly, attentive and prompt The Burgers when delivered certainly were a sight for hungry eyes knowing that the "Party on the Palate" was about to begin... Aesthetically Impressive and quickly proven to be as good as they looked. IMO - a "Top Contender" for the tough spot of Best Burger 2025, highly suggest a visit to this unique waterfront dining establishment with waterside/dockside seating above and below the infamous Johns Pass Boardwalk as a memorable culinary experience. Even the lightly battered french fries were delicious as a complementary side to this special event deal! This unique Old Florida atmosphere is one not to miss...

Nice place to sit by the water and have a bite to eat. The birds are a pain but it's nature and it's Florida deal with it. Food was pretty good mahi tacos were ok grouper was better. My wife had coconut shrimp same basic coconut shrimp as everywhere. Overall nice place to eat little pricey but it's right on the water so to be expected. Nice place worth a try.

FOOD POISONING!!! Only eat here if you're looking for a painful cleanse. My friend and I shared their fish dip appetizer on Saturday evening and it RUINED our days Sunday due to FOOD POISONING!!! Don't trust a place like this when you spend your hard earned money on vacation. Not to mention their dining chairs are concave and broken. They will destroy your clothes, like my $168 free people dress. It ripped it apart and is not replaceable. Spoke to THREE members of management and they did NOTHING! The owners do not give a shit. Fuck this place!

We had a great lunch here at Scully's! Sitting right on the water was really nice, even saw a few dolphins! Our waitress was friendly and helpful, everything was quick and on point. The food was tasty and the prices are great. I enjoyed my fish sandwich and we liked the french fry flight, though the marshmallow dip was a little sweet! I would love to come back!

First, Sculley's has a great location on the boardwalk overlooking the water. It's large enough to accommodate lots of people and groups larger than 2-4 people- making it a great stop for our group of 6. Service was good, not super fast but friendly. Several of us had the market fresh fish sandwiches. I ordered my sandwich with GF bun, it fell apart immediately. Not worth the up charge. Also ordered the piña colada, which unfortunately was made with a piña colada mix they're never as good as fresh made. Overall, I would choose for the location and the ability to take larger groups. Food is OK.

Coconut shrimp dinner was delicious!! Highly recommend. Our server was absolutely amazing and super friendly. We sat down on the water and I would highly recommend doing that if the weather allows. It is such a nice spot.

The service was excellent, but the food was not good. The food was lackluster. It lacked taste. Better off heading to hooters.

The restaurant is located behind the German club on 66th Street, a second business in the German club parking lot! Apparently, the family that has his place is from Maine and they got a lot of success brewing beer. That's success led them to start the restaurant serving seafood from a family business in Maine. We started off with a bowl of New England clam chowder and a dozen oysters. To what are whistles we got a glass of their tap Chardonnay and a beer. My wife's Chardonnay was ridiculously good! But nothing could beat those oysters - sweet with a little bit of brine, and very fresh. For dinner we got a lobster roll - they come hot or cold, with the hot coming with melted butter. We also got the fried haddock roll.... Wow! Both were fantastic! I know we overdid it with dinner.... We even got an order of the whole belly clams. I didn't think anyone in Florida served those down here! Absolutely ridiculous . In short, we had fantastic dinner and terrific beverages. I really recommend you at least try to find the place - we almost didn't go in because of its awkward location and the fact that no cars were outside. We saw the place was open and decided to have a appetizer because the Yelp review was so strong, and I'm glad we did! So nice we had to visit TWICE…read more The coconut crusted mahi mahi was a highlight. It was soft and fully coated with obviously real coconut - not sugared or overly sweet. It was a huge fillet, which makes up for having some smaller sides. I'll let you in on a little secret, I only eat fish when it's locally caught and fresh and this was worth it 100%. The house salad with Pima colada dressing has me imagining how to make this dressing at home. Sweet and creamy and easily coating every leaf. The bread at the start of the meal for a disproportionate amount of attention from my family. It was served hot, with garlic and maybe other seasonings across the top, and generous sides of butter. Our initial server, Kyle, kept the bread flowing for us until the meal came and it was fantastic. We gave the potato skins a try, and they were delicious! My family ironically isn't huge conch / shelled fish eaters so the rest of the appetizers didn't suit us much and this was a lil Midwest taste while on vacation. We returned to try the jalapeño crusted grouper and were again very satisfied. Totally different than the coconut mahi, it's savory and well flavored but leaves you far from begging for water. The fish is thick and flaky and the sauce was similar to a bang bang sauce to pair it all together. The favorite sides were loaded baked potato and garlic smashed potatoes! I'd say it's a must visit during your trip to Madeira !

From the outside, it doesn't immediately stand out. But once you make your way around back, the setting opens up to a waterfront view along the intracoastal that completely changes the experience. Sunset is the time to be here. Between the colors over the water and the occasional dolphin or manatee sighting, it's a setting that feels far more special than the location suggests. There's usually plenty of parking, though the entrance can be easy to miss if you're not paying attention. Look for the break in the divider when coming off the main road, otherwise you might drive right past it. The atmosphere leans lively but relaxed. They typically have live music in the evenings, which adds just the right amount of energy without overwhelming the space. Seating is flexible with both indoor and outdoor options, though on especially hot days, you'll want to be mindful of where you sit. The Florida sun can be intense, so a shaded table with a fan makes a big difference. Drinks are worth exploring here, especially since they tend to rotate specials. It's always a good idea to ask what's currently featured. The menu is rooted in New Orleans-style Creole cooking, and it shows. There's a wide range of seafood-heavy options, from po'boys and shrimp or scallop pastas to fried baskets, chowder, and fish and chips. The dirty rice and beignets round things out nicely if you're looking to branch beyond seafood. Prices run slightly above average, but the quality backs it up. Portions are solid, flavors are on point, and the overall experience makes it feel worth it. This is the kind of place locals keep in their rotation and bring visitors to when they want to show off something a little different. This is the kind of place that feels like it's been around forever, in the best way. Spacious for the area, lively without being chaotic, and backed by attentive service that keeps things moving even when it's busy. The menu is extensive, and then just when you think you've seen it all, there's a specials board tucked away with even more to choose from. If you can time your visit right, Tuesday is the move. They run a buy one pound, get one pound half off deal on snow crab legs, and it's easily one of the best values around. The snow crab legs are fresh and satisfying, and the Dungeness crab holds its own as well. Both pair perfectly with their rich, drawn butter, simple but done right. Portion sizes here are no joke. The shrimp skewers are almost excessive in the best way. Three skewers loaded with roughly eight shrimp each, so you're looking at around two dozen shrimp total, all a solid medium-large size. It's the kind of dish that makes you pause when it hits the table. The shrimp pasta is another standout and clearly a house favorite. It's packed with flavor and easily one of the more memorable dishes on the menu. Good enough that ordering a second one to-go actually makes sense. The clam chowder, though, was the one miss. While it's loaded with plenty of clam meat and has a hearty base, there's a slightly smoky flavor that throws it off. If you're a chowder fan, it might not hit the mark. Probably something to skip next time. As for the crab cakes, they passed a pretty tough test. A Maryland native at the table gave them a strong approval, which says a lot. Pro tip: Get there early, ideally around lunch, if you want to lock in that snow crab deal. It's popular, and you don't want to risk missing out. Overall, this is a reliable, crowd-pleasing seafood spot that leans into big portions, solid execution, and a relaxed coastal vibe.
