Went to have dinner at Scully's restaurant last evening we wanted to sit at an outside table to enjoy the view , however they had so many broken fans that the only one working was aimed at a 6top table , When we asked to sit there we were told by the manager that we could but if a group of 5 or more came we would have to move during dinner. Their food is typical fried fair but the view is good but to be told we would have to move even during dinner was just wrong. if we were told we could not have the table that's fine.but to be told yeah go ahead but we may move you in the middle of dinner. For a seafood place on the water the calamari was not fresh, fishy and chewy. The crab stuffed mushrooms were very small portions for the price. Everything on the menu was tourist pricing. I would go anywhere else on the beach besides here again and I'm a local. Service was very slow and the place was not busy at 10:00 pm. Awful food. Slow service. The house salad consisted of partially decayed baby lettuce with a couple unripe tomato slices and red onion. The rolls tasted like freezer and were bland. The "lump" crab cake sandwich was free of any lumps, more like crab mush which was so over salted it was inedible. The bun was stale and untoasted. The fries were obviously sourced from a frozen bag. The quality of the food does not live up to the prices. My husband ordered the spinach salad with shrimp, which were almost raw, and the spinach also brown. I really wanted fresh seafood & Scully's had been recommended by family from previous visits. We sat outside & saw the Dolphins swimming by a couple times. That was the best part of the evening. The She Crab Soup was full of crab, but needed seasoning. Ordered scallops, expected sautéed in butter, instead received battered & deep fried. That was a new one for me! The vegetables were a microwaved frozen mix with lemon. Bleh - I only ate one bite - they were cold & dry. He got the fish & chips which he really enjoyed. Great view if you sit outside, friendly staff, slow food. I came for lunch and ordered the fried grouper po'boy and they weren't very busy and it took approximately 35 mins from the time I ordered until I got my sandwich. The sandwich itself was decent. I will give Sculley's another try next time I am back in town but there are other restaurants that is recommend before this one. read more

Very disappointed when we visited this restaurant on Saturday. First off you pay for parking I think $5.50 an hour (we bought two hours which was unnecessary, machine had small sign say Buy one Cocktail get one Free at Sculleys). Hostess asked where we want to sit, we said on the water, she said first come first serve, and we were pointed to the 3rd tiki and take a right to a dock with a platform of seats. We sat down at a decent place. I got to order margaritas blind sided with no price ($8.75 per small solo cup for house margarita btw). Ordered the firecracker shrimp because the waiter admitted when asked about conch fritters that it's mainly bread. Anyway, we won't be back due to only one drink was buy one get one and the food wasn't good, tasted like fried frozen food you can buy at local grocery. Save your hard earned money on something fresh and authentic, if you want expensive cheap food that you can get fast....then then is your place. read more

Went to johns pass to watch dolphins and the sunset to enjoy our last night in Florida. Was hoping to go to waltzs but they were closed, so we went to sculleys. We came at around 9:15 and they close at 10 so we cut it close, but our waiter showed no signs of frustration and was very nice and attentive all night. I ordered a cup of the clam chowder which was delicious, and the kale and quinoa salad with mahi mahi. Fish was very fresh, and the salad was excellent. My girlfriend ordered pasta with mussels and she enjoyed hers as well. To top it off we sat next to the water and got to see dolphins jumping out of the water. It was a great way to end our vacation and I look forward to coming back next time I get the opportunity read more

Stopped in for a quick lunch with a group of six. The service and food was excellent. While none of us ordered anything exotic the burgers and fries were cooked to perfection and crispy the way we like them. Another must on the menu was the lobster bisque soup. Delicious! The next day I realized I was missing my credit card. After calling several businesses we had visited I received a call from Rick, the manager at Sculley's who informed me he had found my card and agreed to mail it back to me. Sculley's had a great atmosphere- just a short walk into the boardwalk with seating (only for parties of two) overlooking the bay. You can dolphin watch right from your seats. The fish and chips was delicious, and the monster fish sandwich was huge. A big plus was seating in the shade, some other restaurants nearby were seating in the sun. read more

The food here is pretty good although it's a little pricey for what you get. You can get away with a few cheaper options, but for the most part it's around $20-$30 a plate. We're visiting Treasure Island (this is our third time in four years) for the week and we plan to come back sometime in the near future. Chips were tasteless, poor quality, salt shakers were all permanently plugged, fish serving was slight for $14.99 but it was okay because it was so mushy I didn't want to eat what was served. #racism2017 4/15/2017 I visited Sculley's and no less than 12 wait staff passed me not even acknowledging my presence. Now three Caucasian couples have seated themselves around me and have received "Hi my name is Jay and I will be serving you today" acknowledgements and menus. Funny but I guess Black money doesn't spend here. . By the time I spoke to the manager we saw no less than 12 staff members numerous times. And no I didn't accept ANYTHING from them....not a drink not an appetizer Zip nada...I can afford my stuff. Looked at the ratings 'after' being seated. Prompt attention being greeted, seated, 1st round of drinks and receipt of the fried calamari appetizer. That's when things started going south. From that point forward, it was ~1/2hr before the entrees arrived. In the mean time, the next table was seated shortly after us and was almost finished eating when we were served. We decided to try Scully's restaurant at John's Pass. The hostess was nice and gave us a choice to eat inside or outside by the boardwalk. We choose to eat inside. The waitress we had was not very personable and she was kind of cranky. My wife ask for the early bird menu and it seemed to put the waitress out to get the early bird menu for us. For the appetizer. We ordered artichoke dip and chips it was very good. For the main course I had fried shrimp that was terrible it tasted like frozen fried shrimp from the grocery store that had no flavor. The batter was disgusting. My wife ordered a grouper sandwich. The bun was soggy so she just ate the fish and the fries. The fries were very good. I will not go back to this resturant. There is a Happy Hour dinner special. From the hours of 4:30p to 6p (or somewhere in that ballpark) they offer a bottle of wine, appetizer, and two hearty entrees for $35! We had a bottle of red, with the perfectly proportioned breaded and fried buffalo shrimp appetizer. One entree was the beef tips on a Marsala wine sauce and mushrooms, a side of vegetables, and choice of rice or potato. It was tasty and cooked well. The other entree was seasoned beef tips and grouper cheeks (I highly recommend). The vegetables and potato was so much food that we ended up taking the potato to the end of the boardwalk to feed the seagulls (despite recommendations not to do so). The proportions were substantial for the great deal! We ate outside to view the boardwalk excitement for the evening. Our service was outstanding and friendly. I believe our server was Sean. He was attentive to our needs, conversed lightly, and answered all questions with confidence and delight. I definitely recommend this restaurant. One additional tip: head north on the boardwalk, there's a Hooters and ice cream store. You can watch from above on the deck the deep-sea fishermen filleting the fish. For years we have gone to Sculley's when we are in town, but will not be going back. We had a party of four. Three had baked potatoes which were cold. One had a salad which was not fresh and was expensive for the size. One had a kale and quinoa salad --quinoa looked stale and dried up. Appetizer of coconut shrimp was practically raw. Very disappointed in how the restaurant's food is nowhere near as good as in the past. I agree with another review, you need another cook. The only meal passably good was fish and chips which were triangle-shaped heavily battered fish (think frozen food section in your grocery store) and limp fries. This already gave the sour taste in my mouth. 13$ salad? We came here with a party of 7 for dinner. The restaurant was fairly crowded and we expected a long wait. Not only did our appetizers come out quickly, our main meals followed shortly. Every single one of us LOVED our meals, and everybody got something different. The grouper sandwich and the mahi mahi meal were favorites. Since we had some non seafood eaters in our group it was nice to have other options as well. The price was in-line with the service and quality of the food. We will definitely go back!! read more

I was amongst a party of 7 on a Thursday night -- not a crazy busy evening. I had shrimp scampi, which was palatable, but not outstanding. The others in my party were pleased but not overwhelmed with the quality of the food. The first problem arose when one person in my party ordered a specific beer, but when the server returned with our drinks, she stated that the beer ordered was unavailable, but took it upon herself to substitute a different beer which was in no way similar to the beer ordered. The member of our party who ordered the beer didn't want to cause trouble, so he tried to choke it down, but eventually another member of our party asked for a replacement beer. Once six of our seven person party had been served, approximately 10 minutes passed, with the 7th person still awaiting for her fish sandwich (not a difficult entree to prepare). We questioned a member of the wait staff who said he would inquire as to the disposition of the sandwich. Another 10 minutes passed before our original server appeared to say how sorry she was and that she would comp a drink or a dessert for the kitchen's error. The person who had not yet been fed (although everyone else in the party was at least half done with their food), deferred the decision on dessert. At least another 15 minutes passed before the sandwich finally appeared (a good 35 minutes since the other six people had received their food). When the waitress returned with our checks (which was the only time she checked back in with us after the drink/dessert offer) and inquired if the person who had to wait 35 minutes after everyone else had been served for her meal wanted a dessert, she asked if she could just have something off on her final tab. The waitress returned with a new check with a whopping $3 discount applied. Two of the members of our party are in the food service industry and couldn't believe that that specific meal wasn't entirely comped. It was insulting to give only a $3 discount for such egregiously negligent service. Bottom line -- don't eat here. read more
