I took in a Chevy 2001 blazer I'm a truck driver I'm always traveling out of state. My coworker recommended me was the worst thing he can ever do the honor Sam very rude and considerate and a scammer. he told me that he couldn't find a piece a port to my car so I wind up finding it a cost me $350. I think he didn't wanna pay that overall my car was in the shop for over 11 months, I never went through this in my life by far he is the worst mechanic in El Cajon. They are always lazy. He never informed me what was going on. I had to keep calling him. I got my car towed out to another professional shop and the owner was not there because he didn't want to see my face I really don't recommend this company to anybody or your car will be in there for months and months and his workers and helpers is all lazy. I was in need of a mechanic. So I was recommended SD Auto Repair located at 1318 Broadway El Cajon, CA 92021. I called ahead of time set an appointment. When I got down there Sam the owner came to greet me. He was able to take my car and begin diagnostics after 25-30 minutes he was able to show me exactly what the problem was with my car. What I appreciate the most was he was able to show me the problem and explain the process within just a few minutes he was able to quote me parts ,labor and a timeframe for when the car will be ready. Very honest and experienced people, John and Sam are the best, I have Honda Accord 2017 with the Ac not working and needed a specific part to be replaced that requires the whole dashboard to be unassembled and put back together. The dealership asked for literally triple what those guys asked for in-spite of the fact that I bought the car from the dealer ( Honda of El Cajon) and drove it 40 k only, the dealer said warranty ends by 36k. Anyway dropped the car in the morning and picked it up by 3 pm. They put it back like original. My husband was so happy with the repair. They did not even accept any tip. Have a black 2018 Acura RDX that needed some bodywork done on the front fender and driver side door. The work they did was INCREDIBLE---compared to the passenger side you can't even tell there was ever any damage to the car at all. Also got a great deal on the price compared to what the dealer recommended shop was asking. Also, my car was dirty/dusty as hell when I took it in and it came out gleaming so they obviously threw in a free car wash which was super cool of them. Theyre not the typical mechanics overcharging for minor maintenance. Very good service! They were kind and helped me in my most need. A tire shop broke a lug nut when replacing my tire after many attempts they told me that I had to get someone to weld something on it so it could be removed. The tire shop didn't offer any help of any sort after call different shops, SD Auto Repair got a tow and we able to remove the broke lug nut and replace my flat tire! Mechanic stayed late after closing to make sure my car was dropped off and could get looked at following morning. This guys sam fucked up my mercedes, he thought its okay to cut wires from my fuze box and Sauter random ones together to "fix" the problem and then my fuze box blew driving on the freeway and he never returned the 300$ i paid him or fixed the problem. He said he worked at a mercedes dealer but owned a BMW do not recommend this place at all, just look at the location. read more
