Won't speak for everything here, but the burritos are not good. The carne asada burrito is flavorless, the guac is way too running, and the tortillas are meh. I came here after a recommendation from a friend. I got the surf and turf burrito and ate about 4 bites and could not keep eating it even though I was pretty hungry. It was drenched in a greasy red sauce that almost tasted like ranch and hot sauce. It wasn't my taste at all, and I thought it might've just been me but I gave it to my husband who eats about anything no complaints and he ended up throwing most of it away. So I really like this place and I went here before covid-19. I have been back since and took food to go and also was able to sit outside at a table and enjoyed the food. This place has really good shrimp and steak burritos. They probably have vegetarian offerings as well. They offer a bar and the Margaritas are good. I like their mixed drinks, too- all gussied up with mint. If you are in Oceanside-- this is a great place to come eat--even if you get it to go as there are a few nice parks and the beach view to contemplate. They have happy hour specials that are worthwhile as well as later hour specials on their fancy drinks. Food is delicious and presented well. Stopped in here on a roadtrip with a party of four and we were all super happy we did. Walked in and noticed the place is layed out well, a huge skylight lets the sun in and makes the space seem very comfortable. Sat at the bar and the bartender was quick with the drinks, two people ordered specialty drinks fro. the menu and loved them. ( I was driving so no cocktails for me) Started with some fresh chips, gringo dip (queso) and guacamole. Hit the salsa bar and grabbed some addons from the large selection. Great start to linch. Ordered the spicy Surf and Turf Burrito which was huge and delicious. The diablo sauce has a great kick and supplemented with a hot salsa it was perfect. So much food and such a good deal for fresh delicious stuff Others ordered tacos, fries, burritos and everyone was happy we stopped here. This place came recommended place for burritos from the Oceanside magazine, and did not disappoint. Got the chicken burrito with a side of chips and salsa $15.00. Tasted great but I could only eat half, and had to save the rest for lunch the next day. The staff completely lost control of their customers at the bar. A customer grabbed the remote and turned the music up to the max level, windows shaking full blast. They have a green salsa that is FIRE hot, so good, but I had to cool it down with the other green salsa. Great salsa bar! Meh. Thought the to go of a mix of 6 tacos felt light and mentioned it, dude called off the order correctly. Shrugged it off and found fish tacos and al pastor slapped down and distinctly pinner for all. Salsa was pretty good but otherwise pretty careless for $15 on taco Tuesday. Not thrilled. read more

This new location is really nice. It's not huge but feels more spacious than the Carlsbad location. Food is great- though the server did mistake my Carlsbad burrito for a California burrito- but they were quick to fix it. One other slight deficit- the burrito seemed to have less meat and piña than what I'm used to... in fact it was mostly fried. Could have just been a one off- though my fear is that as they expand they may go more conservative on their recipes as can tend to happen with restaurants that start to franchise out. Over all- food was still delicious and I'm glad to see this brand grow! read more

Originally I was going to grab some food and take it to stone brewery across the street but the atmosphere looked so fun I decided to stay . Great visit tonight to a new restaurant. Grubbys has an excellent location to be accessible for a night out downtown Oceanside, or just chill for some great food and amazing drinks. Walking in there was great energy flowing in the restaurant. The menu board is easy to navigate with lots of great options Bright and vibrant, the lighting opens this spot up. The dining room is a nice mix of cozy and casual with lots of seating. Their bar drinks are fun and flavorful and they have some excellent craft sodas as well as my favorite, horchata. Watching the restaurant hum along during their practice runs you can see that there is a great team put together to run this place. Grubbys, welcome to Oceanside. I frequent the oceanside location since I work down the street. The food is always excellent! I like the chicken burritos and they know how to flavor the chicken so that every bite is flavorful. We ordered a drink for the first time at Senor Grubby's and weren't happy with it!! When we asked for light ice, we were given a glass full of ice and the drink was more like a juice:/ we asked the bar tender if we could switch for a different drink and she said she was going to charge us regardless for the drink since according to her she used 4oz of liquor!! Then she went and poured some beer for herself and chatted with what seemed some of her regulars :/ We have never experienced this at any of the other bars in Oside!!
