First time and not expecting much,... the establishment followed the necessary precautions due to Covid-19 in order to stay open, and I thank God they did !!! It also happened to be Tuesday as well as my B-day. I ordered a variety of the "street" and I washed it down with a drink called Vida de playa. It was all perfect. The ultimate was the taco and the spicy "kick" sauce. It was so good I ordered seconds!! From the ladies and gents who took my orders and the bartender who mixed my drinks, Thank you for your well deserved rating. To the manager and Owner, continue to work well with them they seem to enjoy and take pride in this "competitive"establishment. I'm really picky when it comes to Mexican food, so I'm so happy that Señor Grubby's Oceanside exists. How does this place stand out? Their meats like the sirloin steak carne asada, Al pastor, pork belly, and chicken are very flavorful and fresh and it makes such a difference. My whole family loves this place. The atmosphere is so lively and staff is welcoming and on top of things. I have been to other señor grubby's in the SD area and by FAR this one is the BEST. Me and my sister are new in the area just for vacation, we wanted something delicious and quick. Cashier was very helpful and explained what the choices on the menu were, let us take out time to make a decision on our order, very friendly. I did not get the names of the two workers but they were both very nice, asked every now and then if we were doing okay, restaurant was clean and calm, would definitely recommend to other friends or family if they were to visit Oceanside Food was great, service was great. Came here for a taco Tuesday and have been waiting for while for the Oside Señor Grubby's to open since we recently became homeowners jn Oside and LOVED the Cbad location- and honestly, IT DID NOT DISAPPOINT!! Logan was at the bar, tending to us and he was awesome! Made legit house margs, was super personable and made the first visit that much better! Great job Grubby's! The tacos were awesome. We got three Baja style fish tacos, three al pastor tacos, one Birria, cheesy gringo dip with chorizo and chips and house margs. $60ish plus tip and was well worth it. After a long drive home - the burrito had beans. I am allergic, so I had to toss that, and my husband barely touched his food as he felt bad eating alone. Tossed most of our $50 taco shop order. OMG was this the absolute best shrimp burrito I've ever eaten. Next I plan to try their shrimp by the pound as clearly someone in the kitchen knows how to properly cook shrimp. Just wanted to give a shout out to my girl Natalie who helped me with a catering order. She was so helpful and kind and made sure we got the order in in time. The food was also amazing. We ordered a tray of beans, rice, and all the fixings to go with our carne asada and al pastor street tacos.
