I stopped in here for breakfast after church one Sunday. The place was packed. In spite of the crowd they seated me quickly and took my order right away. This is a very family friendly restaurant. Lots of people of all ages, kids parents, grandparents. The waitstaff is very friendly and accommodating, especially for families with little ones. The menu has Mexican entrees along with American entrees, kids plates, healthy choices, slim plates, breakfast lunch and dinner. Something for everyone. I ordered heuvos rancheros and a coffee. My order came quickly. They refilled my coffee several times. My plate was filled to the brim. Lots of good food. No one leaves here hungry! There is parking in front and a small parking lot on the side.

We haven't been here in a few years and decided to stop by on a Sunday afternoon. We only placed an order for 3 drinks, one waffle and one breakfast burrito. The breakfast burrito was very good. Good portion of hash potatoes, egg and bacon. The waffle unfortunately was dry. Syrup was plain, nothing special or delicious. I would return to try other items since we use to enjoy breakfast here years ago and we did enjoy the burrito. The wait time was about 15 minutes for three people.

Stopped in for quick lunch. It's a diner vibe with both Mexican and American food. We were seated quickly. The staff were friendly and welcoming. We ordered the fajita platter and enchiladas platter. They came with rice, beans and guacamole. The portions were huge. Loved the salsas that were bright to the table. Enchiladas sauce was really and flavorful. Will come back to try the other options. Definitely bring your appetite!

When we pointed out that we had ordered regular fries, the waitress insisted they didn't even carry regular fries and said she had heard us order home-style fries, even though she had acknowledged our order twice when we placed it. That was frustrating. My husband also ordered a T-bone steak but was served a sirloin instead. As for my meal, I ordered the special omelet, and it was nothing special. It lacked flavor, and the cheese didn't complement the dish. The home-style potatoes were simply sliced potatoes that were overly greasy and dripping with oil. Overall, it was a very disappointing dining experience. I hope the restaurant pays closer attention to order accuracy, food quality, and the details that make for good customer service. Unfortunately, based on this visit, I don't plan on returning.

Walking inside, it definitely gives off that classic, old-school diner vibe. We were seated right away since it wasn't too busy at the time. The portions were decent, but overall, the food quality was just okay. Nothing terrible, just not particularly memorable, it had a bit of that "cheap" taste to it. That said, the service really stood out. Our server was kind and patient, especially while dealing with my little one being a bit of a handful, which I definitely appreciated. Overall, I'd say it's a solid option if you're looking for a late-night sit-down spot and want to avoid fast food. Although there is parking in the front, it's very limited. We later found there is much more convenient parking in the back, which I definitely recommend using. As soon as you walk in, you can tell it's a family-owned, mom-and-pop restaurant. Even though the dining area is small, it feels warm, welcoming, and comfortable. It also seems to be a favorite among the locals, which is always a good sign. The service was excellent. The staff frequently checked on us, kept our water glasses full, and happily accommodated my fiancée's special request for her meal. The food was fantastic. My fiancée ordered the Wet Burrito without the cheese on top. It came with chips, and even though they were in the sauce, they somehow stayed crispy throughout the meal. She loved every bite. I ordered the chicken and waffles with whipped cream and strawberries. The chicken was fried to perfection--crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and well-seasoned throughout without being overly breaded. The waffles were delicious and paired perfectly with the toppings. We also shared a biscuit with gravy. The biscuit was soft, fluffy, and moist enough that it honestly didn't even need the gravy. That said, the gravy was rich, flavorful, and not overly salty, making it a great complement. Overall, we had a wonderful experience. The food, service, and atmosphere all exceeded our expectations. I highly recommend giving this place a try--and don't forget to park in the back!

As for the food 3/5...well uh...overall OK. Veggies were two kinds of zucchini (yellow and Italian) and one ling slice if red pepper...but they were mushy and overcooked. Tasted good, but all the nutrients cooked out. The meatloaf was smothered in gravy, which looked appetizing, but it ate salty (I know salty is subjective, as my companion thought the salt level was fine)...but the two slices were burned on one side, and looked like a jigsaw puzzle...but I enjoyed it even though the sauce was covering up a collage of meatloaf. 2/5. The salad was good...clean cold and the dressing (mine Bleu cheese, and hers was 1000 island) this was a solid basic salad 5/5. Her entree was steak, she asked for medium...it cane well done. It was tender though and had grill marks...4/5. The kitchen needs to bone up on the cook for medium versus well done. Our meal came with soup ( I got split pea, she got the gumbo) ....both were large bowls so impressive but both also cane to table cold. The split pea was goopy thick...tasted like split pea tho. The gumbo (potato and sausage in a tomato base) got packed up, so don't know if she liked it as a leftover. The food is average, filling due to generous portions...and all the courses ( salad, soup, entree). Service was efficient but no checkins for refills of water or soda. The check arrived without having to ask, and it was nice to be given permission to take our time and not rush...you pay at the front. It's crowded for breakfast and lunch on a Saturday but it cleared out at 2 pm, so we took our servers advice and had a nice leisurely three hour lunch.
