BBQ CHICKEN SALAD HALF (don't recommend)
    Melinda B.

I had the spicy turkey melt with onion rings and I was totally loving it. The bread was nice and crispy from the grill. The turkey, was okay. Not the biggest turkey fan anyway. But was so tasty was the melted gooey cheese and that chili they put in it. I think it was a roasted anaheim pepper. Oh man, I loved it. It did have a little heat which was great. The onion rings were fresh and crispy and they have good dipping ranch. This one is a keeper!

    Received. It was good.

One good thing about Norms is the consistency of quality. But sometimes you get a server who just stands out and really takes care of the customer. Making for an enjoyable dining experience. Shout out to Server Keven !!!

We came in last night around 7pm for dinner and was in the neighborhood. It was not crowded at all and was able to get a booth. I ordered for the first time the Sampler Platter which was very good and loved the items selected for the meal. There was tenders, shrimp, onion rings and mozzarella sticks. Our server was Esteban and he was nice, friendly and provided good service. It was nice inside, did not have to raise your voice when speaking. They have made some nice changes to their food selection on the menu and looking forward to trying other things.

The cold brew was actually delicious! Otherwise, breakfast was not memorable unless you count greasy as a highlight. The stars given are for service and ambiance. Servers were fast, the place is HUGE and parking lot is big too! Prob wouldn't come again unless it's for a business meeting, which is what brought me there the first time.

First time trying Norms average wait 25-35 minutes.. once sat down server was super sweet, and the food arrived fairly quickly.. The steak was perfect made food was delicious the place a bit noisy but it's fair to say people are in and out timely.

    Good burger as always!

Good food!! It's been 4 years since I visited this Norms. This location has been excellent since it opened. The best Norms was in San Gabriel on Valley and San Gabriel blvd. Norms is good for breakfast and late night eating. Coffee good!!

My country fried steak was nice and fresh. The presentation was nice and clean. My little son's hamburger look really juicy. I almost took a bite lol. My Server Esteban was very busy, but he managed to get to us in a timely matter. He was quick and efficient. Good job. I also want to thank Betty and Vicky for being so kind to My Son Valentino. Every time we come here, he looks for you to show you his love and greets you with a hug. The restaurant felt really nice and cozy. Made everything a wonderful experience.

Jalapeño corn bread (summer special) 3 to share with butter

This Norms isn't the closets one to our house but it was said to provide a larger portion and better service by my family who frequented here earlier in the week. If we do come here we try to make it worth our time and explore after dinner to the nearby plazas with Burlington, Ross, and other stores. We came on a Friday night and usually Norms is packed but this time it was just busy inside and no wait. You need all of your party present to get a table which is why we did wait for others given the distance from our home city. We were a party of 6, unfortunately 2 didn't come due to traffic, and seated in the back booths near restrooms (gendered and had multiple stalls, 2 only available in the women one). We were able to fit comfortably at the booth seating but if we had the other two come in not sure if we'll fit! Two staff members helped serve our table, one only handled our drinks and the other took our order and served us for the rest of the time. I'm glad Norms offer summer specials, I do enjoy their usual menu but it's always nice to try something new. Baby back ribs are back and so are other bbq specialty dishes. We ordered: Appetizer: chefs Sampler plate, the best was chicken tenders and their creamy mustard dip(?), the onion rings were crispy, mozzarella sticks were hot and stretched(!), and crispy shrimp was great with the cocktail sauce. Main: I ordered the half rack baby back ribs trio: -Ribs in Kansas City sauce: so good but - bit too saucy -Burnt ends: were a bit too burnt and tough -Dry rub wings: crispy and amazing, should've just got this as a dish itself -Fries: mine weren't r crispy but others were so I was a little sad about that -Coleslaw: pretty good, a bit wet but still coleslaw -And jalapeño corn bread (3) to share: Corn bread was ok, a bit mushy and not spicy at all, butter didn't taste like butter?? It tasted like unflavored unsalted oil? -Clam chowder: broth like soup with bits of potato and a few seafood bits, not creamy and you can see the fat on top, it was good but I don't remember having their clam chowder prepared like this? Potatoes were a bit mushy but the broth was good. Came with crackers (two in a pack to be exact) I also got to try others dish such as: -Korean back ribs (actually a bit spicy for me) -T-bone steak (rare) kind of not that good and looked really pale -The club sandwich (bacon was tough and hard to chew) We had some miscommunication in the beginning since we usually can order apps while getting our drinks and ask for plates to share the apps, but took us a few tries to get those in. Also since they were busy asking for refills was a bit tough but eventually we got it. Overall it wasn't a bad dinner, I wouldn't say it was that bad to be a 3 star but it was a solid high 3 star.

These are frozen processed nuggets not chicken strips

I mean... This location is by far way better than the El Monte location plus they open 24hrs!!! We got here Sunday just before the Sunday church rush so we're seated right away. Best seat in the house is where you can see the kitchen! It was so entertaining to watch how efficient staff was working! Too bad someone burnt the toast, the place was very smokey after. I've confirmed I don't really like the pork or steak options at Norms. Something about how they tenderize it leaves and off putting flavor in my mouth. Eggs, bacon, and chicken are the safest yummy options IMO. HOWEVER!! tried the chicken strip plate today to take advantage of the 5 options for $9.99/ea deal. These were not what I expected for chicken strips... They should be called large chicken nuggets. These are proceeded frozen chicken nuggets... Not real chicken. They were tasty but I was expecting real chicken, you know... Like raising cane's chicken... The veggie side today was super soft lightly seasoned boiled baby carrots. I couldn't eat these... Fries were great. Cajun Chicken Sandwich with onion rings is the tried and true here!! This will always be ordered whenever we go lol. Real chicken, yummy parie bread, fresh veggies, bacon, and lots of great flavors! Diner coffee is a must for me, coffee always hits here just wish they had stevia. I can understand the cuts in food quality. This is the only way they can offer affordable food in big portions!

The iced flight was also a great way to sample several of their flavors without having to commit to just one. For food, the Birria Benedict was the standout and easily our favorite dish. I loved the Mexican-inspired spin on a brunch classic, and the rich birria paired so well with the eggs and Benedict preparation. We also really enjoyed getting a mix of savory dishes with the Mole Chilaquiles and Huevos Rancheros before finishing with The Journey Pancakes for something sweet. Overall, Madres Brunch offers a huge variety of creative food and drinks, especially if you enjoy Mexican flavors and fun twists on traditional brunch. Definitely a place where I recommend coming hungry and ordering several things to share! Excellent service, as well.

The short rib omelette was savory but didn't give me any wow factor compared to the other dishes I ordered. The tropical pancakes were so pretty. I only tried a piece of it without the syrup which I think was a mistake because the kumquat syrup was my friend's favorite. I definitely need to try it again with the syrup. Just a couple of weeks ago, my friends and I were considering our options for where to have brunch to celebrate one of our friend's retirement. Toast was one of the names I dropped in the metaphorical hat, and it won the vote of a few. My friends were surprised that I had named a spot I hadn't yet tried since I'm usually the "foodie" of the group. However, another girl in the group who had been here before vouched for it. I'm glad I finally got to try this place this past weekend, and I cannot wait to return! There were so many things on their menu that I wanted to try. A couple of the ladies ordered green chilaquiles, the friend we were celebrating ordered the Spanish Omelet, another woman I'd met that day had the bacon and eggs, another one ordered the Biscuits and grave with a side of bacon that looked perfectly crispy. I wish I had taken pictures of the plates as it all looked so lovely! I didn't even take a picture of my own food haha. I had my eyes on an omelet, one of the Benedicts or the Chicken n Waffle. In the end, the chicken and waffle won. It comes served with a little container of maple syrup with bacon pieces. The chicken was perfectly crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. The waffle was delicious, though I did request for some extra syrup on the side. To drink, a few ladies ordered mimosas, one ordered an iced caramel coffee, and I ordered the Carajillo. I fell in love with this drink last summer in Mexico and do not often see it on the menu. I love the subtle citrus notes the Licor 43 adds to this espresso drink. It is very similar to an espresso martini, and theirs comes topped with a toasted marshmallow. I honestly wanted to try almost every item in their Tipsy Barista section of their drinks. I'll just have to come back that many more times :) Plenty of parking in the mall lot. It does get pretty packed during peak hours. Fortunately I had called ahead to put our group of 6 down. We went in on Saturday around 11:30. It slowed down a bit while we were eating, but started to get busy again after 1. Otherwise, we might have been forced to honor their 90-minute rule. All in all, a great experience from everyone in our group. No complaints on the wait, service or food. That certainly deserves a toast. Great job, Toast!

Although there is parking in the front, it's very limited. We later found there is much more convenient parking in the back, which I definitely recommend using. As soon as you walk in, you can tell it's a family-owned, mom-and-pop restaurant. Even though the dining area is small, it feels warm, welcoming, and comfortable. It also seems to be a favorite among the locals, which is always a good sign. The service was excellent. The staff frequently checked on us, kept our water glasses full, and happily accommodated my fiancée's special request for her meal. The food was fantastic. My fiancée ordered the Wet Burrito without the cheese on top. It came with chips, and even though they were in the sauce, they somehow stayed crispy throughout the meal. She loved every bite. I ordered the chicken and waffles with whipped cream and strawberries. The chicken was fried to perfection--crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and well-seasoned throughout without being overly breaded. The waffles were delicious and paired perfectly with the toppings. We also shared a biscuit with gravy. The biscuit was soft, fluffy, and moist enough that it honestly didn't even need the gravy. That said, the gravy was rich, flavorful, and not overly salty, making it a great complement. Overall, we had a wonderful experience. The food, service, and atmosphere all exceeded our expectations. I highly recommend giving this place a try--and don't forget to park in the back!
