Visited Sea and Sons in Bodega bay today for a really nice experience! The outdoor patio offered a beautiful view of the bay! Comfortable seating with sun umbrellas. Very pleasant! My husband had the Maine Lobster roll sandwich which was on a brioche Roll. Its special! You have to try it to find out! I had the beer battered fish Tacos. 2 full good size tacos. The amount for both dishes was perfect. We did order a small home made clam chowder. It was delicious. It came with toasted garlic bread rolls. We also shared a valley ford creamery soft serve ice cream that was on their menu. We had a mix of vanilla and chocolate. It tasted homemade not artificial which was delightfully a plus! They also offer gluten free items. Service was good and everything was clean! Food was all very fresh! It did not disappoint! We will definitely go back! it was a wonderful experience! Not sure what's up with all these 5-star reviews, but this place definitely wasn't 5 stars based on our experience. We just happened to be passing through this coastal town and wanted to grab something quick for lunch. Found this place on Yelp. Parking is not an issue here, with a good-sized parking lot compared to some of the other restaurants down the road. The restaurant is tucked in the back of a market/souvenir shop, so we almost missed it and initially walked toward the restaurant next door. What surprised us at first wasn't the ocean view, but the prices on the menu. Everything here is pretty pricey, which I guess comes with being in a touristy area. We ordered the fish tacos, fish and chips, and clam chowder. Once we got the bill, we definitely felt the price. It's a self-serve restaurant, but we found some outdoor seating right next to the water. The view was nice, with a gentle breeze, and the server did bring the food out to us. The food itself was honestly just meh. Nothing really stood out and there was nothing particularly exciting or memorable about it. For the prices they charge, I expected the food to be much better. The portions were also pretty small. With the premium prices, I expected premium-sized portions, but everything came out on the smaller side and honestly didn't feel like enough food for two people. I'm guessing part of what you're paying for is the waterfront view and the location. The view is nice, but unfortunately, the food didn't match the price. For us, this is definitely a one-time visit. There are plenty of other restaurants along the Bodega Bay strip, so we'll probably try somewhere else next time. read more

Sea & Sons was one of the highlights of our trip to Bodega Bay! We ordered the oysters and the fish and chips, and both were absolutely delicious. The fish was fresh and perfectly crispy, and the sweet potato fries were some of the best we have ever had. The tartar sauce deserves a special mention because it was exceptional and paired perfectly with the fish. We also enjoyed an excellent bottle (or two) of Sauvignon Blanc. To top it all off, the service was warm, friendly, and attentive. Great food, great wine, and wonderful hospitality. We will definitely be back the next time we are in Bodega Bay! read more

Located at the Tides Wharf with plenty of shared parking in a large lot. Came on a Saturday afternoon after the lunch rush. There is plenty of indoor seating and outdoor seating. You order at the register. There is a lot on the menu. A good friend took me here and she has tried most of their items and highly recommends them. I couldn't decide. I opted for the Dungeness crab sandwich and my friend ordered the 2 poke tostadas. We decided to eat inside. There are large windows to people watch and there's a great view of the water. It was nice. We didn't wait long for our food. Presentation was beautiful. I opened the sandwich to find large chunks of crab and additional crab meat on the bottom. It was fresh and flavorful, bread was soft and I appreciated the cucumber and pickled onions on the side. Made a great balance. I ate it all it was so good. My friend also devoured her tostadas. Traveling on the 1 and stopped here for lunch. Great parking, easy access, lots of seating. Nice menu of seafood items as well as a few others to keep the whole family happy. We ordered the Adult Grilled Cheese with sweet potato fries and the grilled fish tacos. Both were amazing! The service was great! The tacos were quite tasty and the crab sandwich was delicious. The service was a bit slow, and we had a little issue with the food runner dropping our food off at the wrong table (but it seemed like just a honest mistake). Sea and sons is located in the back of the Tides building, which includes a gift shop. There is plenty of seating, both indoor and outside. On this occasion. we had our dog, Zoey, with us and were looking for dessert. Luckily for us, Sea & Sons have soft serve, so my husband and I each had chocolate and vanilla swirl in a cup. It was just what we needed. A man who must have been either the owner or manager approached us and asked if we wanted a piece of bread for our dog. I thanked him but declined, since Zoey had gotten a few bites from our meal earlier and would get a few licks from our bowls when we had finished. I noticed that the man checked on other customers to ensure they were satisfied with the food. I appreciate businesses that value good customer service and regret that we did not get a chance to return and try their savory food. Maybe we will have the chance on another trip. read more

Really generous portions (think sharing) quality food, can't go wrong with anything on their menu. Very helpful happy staff, patient too! Realizing I wasn't getting my fried prawns as a snack, instead I still have a huge half sandwich waiting to be enjoyed today and a desire to return. Next time I hit the beach I will definitely go there first for grub to go... their lobster roll is calling my name. Hidden Gem! The food was amazing, super fresh, and a perfect setting to enjoy time with fiends and family, while sitting outside enjoying the view. The staff were extremely polite and helpful. The Owner, Anthony, was very inviting and involved, from cooking, to walking around greeting guests. To see his young sons and family around the resturant brought a special meaning to Sea & Sons. Had to try a variety of foods with my family. We enjoyed the oysters, crab sandwich, fish & chips, beer batter fish tacos, and my favorite, the Poke Tostadas. Food was awful. Lobster roll at about $28 made with maybe 2 level tbs of meat not buttery but dry with tartar sauce that was nothing special in a dry bun. The fish and chips were full of grease and had no flavor, again tartar sauce tasted like store bought. The best party were the kinda greasy sweet potato fries. All in all the idea of it being mostly gluten free was what turned our head but the food wasn't the quality we had expected for the price. Won't be back when there's so many other option. A great new addition to Bodega Bay! It's a tad tricky to find as they don't have their exterior sign yet. Go into the main door to The Tides, go all the way back and turn left. Plenty of clean seating both inside and out with a lovely view. Soft drinks, beer and wine available. My husband had the fish and chips with sweet potato fries. What a beautiful and much needed addition to this property. My wife and I ate there and the food was amazing. We started with the BBQ oysters and had two of each. The oysters were absolutely perfect and the garlic bread that came with the oysters was a great addition. We then split their house made chowder which had clams in every bite and could not have been any better. I had the fish and chips which were out of this world. My wife had the fish tacos and she said they were the best she has ever had. The owner was so kind and checked on us to see how everything was and if we needed anything else.
