I ordered delivery from Sea Thai today so my review is based strictly on the food. I'm honestly surprised there are a number of good reviews on here because the food I received ranged from unedible to mediocre. Delivery was fast (arrived less than 30 minutes from when I placed the order, maybe that's the problem...). I don't typicallyl use this phrase, but the potstickers really did taste like cardboard! Soggy veggies in a dry shell. The pad kee mao was somehow spicey and bland at the same time. Normally in thai dishes spice is acompanied by a lot of flavor, but it was somehow just hot without being tasty. They also forgot my rice. read more

The owners of this place is a cute Thai couple and they are super nice. The food is always good and hearty! The place is clean and the service is always quick whenever I eat there. Don't even go here. Terrible food and service. We order 2 pad thai and fresh rolls. We even ate a half of food. Pad thai is too sweet and fresh roll is not fresh. We wasted our money. Beware on what you buy because you'll be underwhelmed with certain dishes. Sri Ra Cha Sauce for example is only filled up half way in a soup container (if you order delivery) and it was way too expensive for what it was. We ordered for a large group (about 10 orders) at work and in the past they have for the most part gotten things right and in a timely manner. This time however, it took way longer than usual and the portion sizes were about 1/2 as much as they should be. I was looking forward to my Oyster Beef and having a little bit for later as well and that definitely wasn't happening. Many of my coworkers said the same thing that their portions were 1/2 of what they should be. The plus to it was at least the flavor of all the dishes sounded like it was good. So they liked the way it tasted, but not enough of it. For how much we pay per dish it was very disappointing. This is the place that we order from when when my student organization gets catering. We have worked with this organization on and off for 4 years. We primarily use them for UW Nurse Camp, however we are currently using them for a student outreach event. The owner and one of the employees, Harrison are extremely easy to work with and are accomodating to the budget. We will definitely continue to use them in the future for nurse camp as always. P.S. I love this place! The food is good, but it's the service & employees that differentiate it from the other Thai restaurants in the area. I get the feeling that it's a family establishment, so that's always a nice bonus (one night I went in to pick up an order and a cute young kid greeted me, sang a song for me, talked to me about his favorite TV shows, and joyfully handed me my food). Every time I go in or order, they're so friendly and accommodating. The food is yummy too - In the past, I've had the Pud Thai, Panang Curry, Potstickers, Phad See Ew, and they've all been consistently delicious! I was desperately Thai one night and am slightly new to the neighborhood. Yelp brought me here and I was pleasantly surprised. I only ordered Take out but there was no wait for my food, the service was all smiles and the food was delicious! I got my usual Chicken Pad Thai - 3 stars. It wasn't out of this world delicious, but it hit the spot and the amount of spice was perfect. Nothing worse then getting food too spicy to eat that you can't taste any of the other ingredients. Thai food is my favorite food, so naturally I eat a lot of it. I like to try new places and give them a shot and see if they're any good or not. Me and my boyfriend ordered food from here and it wasn't good. I ordered a three star Panang curry as I always do and it felt like a 5+ star. I couldn't even enjoy my food at all because I was crying and my nose was running through my entire visit, and I had burnt all my taste buds off. I think because I ordered a three stars and being White, that the lady taking my order was messing with me and told them to make it spicier, as to say 'I couldn't handle it, I'll show you.' Every Thai place I go to I always order a three star and it is perfectly spicy for me, sometimes a little spicier than others but I expect it and can handle it, even when it is on the spicier side. But here they were just fucking with me and ruined my entire meal and experience all together. The curry was watery to begin with and odd tasting with not much flavor. Nothing worse than a watery bland flavorless curry in my opinion. Also, the veggies were all very under cooked and crispy which is a huge turn off-- no good. My boyfriend ordered cashew nut chicken two stars. Same with his dish-- BURNING hot with spice. So neither him or I could enjoy our meal. Very small expensive portions too. I was chugging water the entire meal; but not really because it was lousy service that I had to sip my water very slowly, afraid to drink all my water because the server was just hiding in the back refusing to really actually serve us. It's the worst when you have to hold onto your water in fear that you won't get a refill. You should be able to freely drink your water and expect refills and not be afraid during your entire dinner that you might not get any more water. That ruins the entire experience of dining out when you have to worry and be anxious the entire time. The service was terrible. She didn't even stop by once to ask how our food was or if we needed anything. Oh yeah, and we were the only customers aside from one other table. She would walk past us several times to service the other table behind us, but not one of those multiple times in passing us to help other customers, could she have acknowledged us ONCE. Never. Off and on for going on 7 years, if I am living in Seattle or passing through the area, I will go out of my way to stop here! I love Thai and have been let down more than a few times at Thai places. HOWEVER, every single visit, whether making use of their sweet lunch deals or going for full evening meal, this place continues to provide the best around! It is small in size for seating, but I am one to base places purely on the quality and friendliness of the staff! Don't pass this place up! This review was shaping up to be a 1. I ordered food for delivery and waited over 90 minutes for the food. Then when the food finally arrived, it was the wrong order. I was not a happy person - however when we finally settled in the eat, the stars came out. Even cold and slightly congealed, the food was absolutely delicious. Spicy, flavorful, beautifully cooked - i can only imagine how good it would have been served warm! I recently moved back into Wallingford and called them up and placed an order for my usual Phad Thai and Crab Wontons (I know, how very American of me) on a Saturday night. If you like spice (like HOT) I highly recommend adding their authentic southern Thai curry paste (available upon request) to any red curry dish. This was the best, most authentic Thai I have had in Seattle. Kind of pricey, but far better than any other place I have been to. read more

HOT! Five stars is definitely five stars here. I've been asking for five stars at Thai restaurants all over Seattle lately, and it's overwhelmingly too mild for me. Not here. A five star Pad Ke Mao was incredibly hot. It had huge chunks of Thai peppers in it. I also tried the green curry with avocado at five stars, and it wasn't as hot. Went here randomly for lunch with a friend. I had no idea what to expect and I was pleasantly surprised. They had very fast service and large portions. I ordered the Thai pumpkin curry with tofu and it was great. I like that they didn't automatically fry the tofu but left it steamed. I will for sure order take out from this place again. read more

When I travel I love eating at hole in the wall places... This place did not disappoint my friend an I had lunch there while I was visiting last November and it was sooooo delicious! Apparently we got some sort of lunch special b/c we both filled our bellies with Thai deliciousness for less than fifteen bucks. She had the chicken pad Thai I had the red curry MmmMmm good! Soooo delicious. As much as I love the food IN Thailand, this is just as good without the long flight. Plus, I don't have to pull the heads and legs off the shrimp here, or eat fish out of a fish that is starring at me with one dead eyeball! Get the crispy fried rice app, a melange of rice, ginger, peanut, green onions, cilantro goodness served with lettuce for scooping and/or wrapping. I'm consistently a three star girl everywhere, but I get crispy fried rice at two stars because all the ginger gives this dish extra kick. Other than my fav crispy fried rice, I mix it up and try a new entree every time and every time I win. Everything here is good. AND they grind their own curry! My boyfriend swears by the homemade curry, ask for it specially for a small additional charge, but only if you love HOT. I like spicy and flavorful, the homemade curry however is not to be trifled with unless you're wearing your sweatband and have a gallon of milk and a box of Kleenex on hand. read more

The Sea-Thai has been located here for decades; the food has always been some of the very best Thai food in Seattle. This little place is definitely worth a visit. As someone else has mentioned, Renoo makes some very tasty dishes, and unique Thai desserts. My co-worker & I were the only ones there.....I am used to swimming angel with more spinach, but they do load you up on peanut sauce!! OMG!! This place is way better than it looks. The food is amazing: fresh and delicious. I love the peanut sauces, the curries, and the fresh spring rolls. I was skeptical when I was brought here the first time, but I've been coming back regularly for 10 years now. There's nothing on the menu that I wouldn't recommend. The reason I don't give 5 stars is because of the look and comfort of the dining area. It's clean, but the dining area is small and if you're there on a cold day you should keep your coat on because every time the door opens you'll be freezing. Still, the service is very quick, so you won't be cold for too long, and if you add a star the food will warm you right back up. Sea-Thai is a wonderful Wallingford secret. I don't do 3 star reviews- why review it at all- but I'd like to give this 3.5 stars. The food was perfectly cooked except I had the opposite problem of most reviewers. It was soooo bland. I have to chalk it up to having 2 kids at our table and they erred on the side of mildness. I'm going to try this place again though since the seafood was expertly cooked and pad thai and fried rice were perfectly seasoned. This is a small, neighborhood place, both date friendly and family friendly. The server was excellent and personable and Sea Thai is a solid choice if you live in Wallingford. read more

It was really tasty, and arrived fast. Just a couple things... The Panang Curry was a liiiittle spicy for no added stars (I'm weak). But the flavor was great. The first Crab Rangoon was DELICIOUS... So I saved the rest for after the Panang. I don't know what happened, but they were nearly empty.
