Stopped in for a quick dinner. They have a parking lot which is nice but note their parking curbs are much higher than normal. The inside is decorated so nicely! Feels like a homey spot and service is great. We ordered the spring rolls, which in general tasted fine but were lacking filling. They were cute mini ones! I ordered the pad see-ew which is served with American broccoli. It was delicious and not too spicy. My boyfriend got the fried rice and it was so good he finished the massive serving. The best part about this place is that they give back to the community! They have signs at each table showing how much money they've raised for charities over the years and one offering a Christmas meal to those who cannot afford one. Definitely worth a stop! read more

Oh also, be warned, their spice 3 star is crazy hot, at least a couple notches more than any other Thai place I've been too. "I honestly don't understand how this place isn't overflowing with 5-star reviews. The food is absolutely delicious, the service is excellent, it's clean, and the atmosphere is pleasant. I stopped in for lunch on a recommendation from a kind stranger, and it was a revelation. I ordered the 'Bird of Paradise' since I love duck and Thai basil, the flavors were unique and incredible. I'd never had lychee in a savory dish before, but it was the perfect match for the creamy, balanced curry. It's easily one of the best I've ever had! Even the Thai coffee was spot on. Cute neighborhood spot in north Ballard with lovely decor and super friendly staff! Huge shoutout to the owners for giving back to the community and providing meals for the less fortunate during the winter holidays. That said, the food was ok but not great. The crispy garlic basil chicken was very dry - either over-fried or the chicken was really old. It also had no garlic flavor to it and basically just tasted like dry chicken soaked in honey. The pad thai was fine but nothing special (you could get similar quality and greater quantity for less elsewhere). The papaya salad was the standout of the meal - crunchy, sweet, and savory with plenty of peanuts. Overall, I probably wouldn't go back for the food but I appreciate what they do for the community so I'm adding an additional star. read more

I like the duck but not the other ingredients like pineapple or the lychee and the ratio was off with not so much duck, given that it was around $23. Thai Siam was the first Thai restaurant my friends took me to and after trying so many in the last five years, still this is my #1 favorite Thai restaurant!! The Siam Phad Thai is a large order and so much better than any others, as it is not overspiced, and it is so light yet so tasty!! I loved their soups beyond words as they are huge quantities, and the Tom Kah Mushroom soup is a favorite with lots of fresh veggies and herbs on the side, bean sprouts, and yummy fresh coconut milk. I love alot of their veggie dishes but for those that do eat seafood and meats which I do not eat, they have lots of shrimp and full seafood dishes. I find this a great atmosphere and they remember their patron friends. They are very clean, super nice, and give extra kindness and not overpriced and they are super fast for eating in or to go/delivery. read more

My review is based solely on the "Pick up" experience. We ordered the Chicken Red Curry and Basil Lover. Both were average--neither great nor terrible. The "4-star hot" level was not spicy at all. The portion of the red curry was smaller, but the basil portion was just right. Overall, it was an average experience. Would I order it again? Probably not. read more

I was so happy when I found this place while looking for dinner. It was so good that I came twice during my 3 day stay here in Seattle. Beware - I asked about an extra charge on the bill and was told it was a service fee. They don't label any items on the bill - they just put prices - so it looks like it is another food item. When I asked if the fee goes to the servers as a tip I couldn't get a direct answer. Most people won't notice they are charging a special fee since it's not labeled. My cousin from out of state order our dinner from here tonight. WE love Thai Siam! Food has always been so yummy! Customers for over 18 years. Still delicious but smaller portions which is so upsetting. I am going through Chemotherapy second time around and was looking forward to my red curry chicken!! It was half the size container For the price of food, It was not worth it for getting less food. Especially when I was at chemotherapy all day long. I was hungr tonight and so was my family. I am not sure why they are cutting back on their size containers. We went here for lunch on a weekday. It wasn't busy and we were seated immediately. We were given a complimentary salad and water. We ordered our food and we were asked about our preferred level of spice (1-4). We love spicy food, but opted for a level 3, to be sure. I recently moved to the neighborhood and have been looking for my new Thai food spot. I've been here twice now and so far it's hitting all the marks. First off, the restaurant is run by family and you can feel the love they have for the place. Both the food and the service will keep me coming back. Nothing but smiles from the staff and my water glass kept full. The prices are very reasonable and If you decide to order spicy they deliver! Today I had cashew delight and it was on point.
