Seafood Landing is a great, quaint place to get your seafood in the Highlands neighborhood - I suggest it. Being part of the little "strip mall" on 32nd Ave, I think it tends to get overlooked, but make no mistake, Bruce knows what he's doing. Great customer service, fair prices, and you won't have to fight the crowds like you would at a large market. We've gotten mussels, clams, mahi mahi, white fish...all has been fresh and enjoyable. Plus, you gotta love a place where the owner is still as passionate about what they're selling after owning the same business for so long. This place is wonderful--the salmon and shrimp I have bought on several occassions are super fresh--way better than Whole Foods quality. Not to mention the owner is the nicest man--I showed up last night at 7:45 (he closes at 7) but he was still there, and so he opened up to sell to me. Picked up some tuna here for a poke recipe because they were one of the only places in town to find good quality tuna. The price was right and the quality was exceptional, with intelligent butchers who knew exactly how old their fish was and how to cut it effectively. Super fresh, super delicious, super Bruce. We eat a fair amount of fish and we like getting it from Bruce at Seafood Landing better than anywhere else in town. It's as fresh as possible and always tasty. I think the best salmon I've ever eaten (including at fancy pants restaurants on the coast) came from Seafood Landing. YUM! This is really the only place to get fresh seafood in Denver that I've found. They fly fresh fish in twice a day and the quality is unsurpassed. If you want something specific, just give them a call and they'll have it for you the next day. We've seen pompano, hog snapper, red snapper, grouper, salmon, mahi, catfish, bass, tuna, trout, scallops, cod, shrimp. You name it. They can get it. Prices are reasonable and the quality is unsurpassed. Kiss the dried out, fishy smelling, "color added", previously frozen fish of Safeway goodbye! Awesome! Just plain fantastic experience. The guys behind the counter were super friendly, knowledgeable and quick. My girlfriend and I weren't sure what a type of fish was so one of the guys cut off two generous pieces and let us sample it for free! And we loved it, it was a fantastic fish. Money, Money, Money, Money!!!! I've been going to Seafood Landing since they were still over on 20th and Wads. The same two owners have have always been in there everytime I've ever gone.....about 25-30 times in ten years. The reason why I yell "MONEY!" is that the quality, freshness, and service is 10 out of 10, but be prepared to spill some coin as well. As everyone knows, in this world you get what you pay for. And no other place embodies this saying as much as Seafood Landing. Although they do have decent little specials from time to time. Like one time I got soft-shell blue crabs for like $5 a piece or sometimes they'll have specials on Littleneck Clams, etc. Their lump crabmeat is sometimes on sale and it's the best prepared crab you'll ever sink your chompers into. Other than specials, the seafood is expensive but well worth every penny. They have all the basics for the home chef. Amazing in season salmon. The sea bass is perfection. The trout has flesh so red and vibrant it looks just like the golden trout I catch and eat in the Wind River Range in Wyoming every summer. The Gulf shrimp is what brought me to SL, and I still do go back for it. It's usually avbl in three sizes with three price levels so you can choose. The halibut steaks are of the same quality I get at Jax Fish House in Denver. But why go to Jax when you can stop by the SL and prepare your meal at home for 25% of the cost? That goes for all it....salmon, halibut, sea bass, trout, shrimp, mahi mahi, etc. Side note - IMO, lobsters are just an absolute waste of money and time. Ask any high end chef. Why drop $50 on two nice lobsters when you could dine on prime seafood for three nights? Saying that, the SL does have a great selection for those who just have to splurge just for the sake of spending money. One time for my anniversary, I dropped by SL and got two 1.25 pounders. I par boiled the lobster, removed the meat and made an awesome saute with sherry vinegar, butter and fresh herbs. It was great, but 50 bucks for a small meal? Lobster just doesn't warrant the price. Remember......100 years ago, servants in New England threatned a strike if they were made to continue to eat lobster more than three times a week. If showing up your neighbors is your prime objective, these lobsters are your bag. But if pleasing your palette and pocketbook is your thing, get the trout or halibut. If you're a pescatarian, the Seafood Landing should be on your weekly route of grocery stops, just spend your money wisely on the seafood other than lobster. Be forewarned...they're closed on Monday.....the one night I always seem to be in the mood to cook up an amazing seafood dinner. read more

So, I should probably wait until I see how my salmon turns out, but I've just had such a nice experience that for the first time I'm motivated to run to YELP to write a review. I brought in a 10 lb salmon that a friend brought me frozen from Alaska. Bruce talked to me for 10 minutes about how he could go about helping me cut it down to manageable pieces (steaks) and then wrap it for use as I need it. I was going to leave my fish there no matter what, but when I asked what the charge would be for processing my fish, Bruce said it would be no charge. And I've never even been in his shop before... amazing service. I'll be back whenever I can get there for fish in the future. read more

I never give reviews but this time, I cannot resist! Bruce was amazing! I'm from Minnesota and my fiancé loves fish. We've gone to California and Florida for deep sea fishing and had wanted to try a grouper and sea bass. With short notice as I was flying back to Minnesota the day of, Bruce was able to obtain both fishes (FRESH) in whole for me AND sealed them into a safe styrofoam box to check in with me. He was literally the best! It was great customer service. You can tell he knows his stuff and loves his job. What's even more amazing? He drove two hours just to get both fishes for me. I called him at noon. He got them ready for me by 5pm. I highly recommend this place! I'll be returning shortly! read more

These guys are awesome! I've ordered live crawfish, clams, shrimp and bunch of other stuff from them for a few years in a row now for crawfish boils. They always have great quality, really reasonable prices and they always throw in extra crawfish and whatever else you get when you buy in bulk. They are super easy to deal with and even though I am in Parker, it is well worth the drive to buy from these guys. Highly recommend them. read more

Bruce Johnson, the owner and operator of Seafood Landing Denver went above and beyond for me when I messed up and was suppose to make a big live crawfish order for an event last year. With missing a deadline to order live crawfish online, I panicked and had to find an alternative plan. Thats when I came across Seafood Landing Denver! I called Bruce, he answered the phone promptly and assured me he had live crawfish all with excellent customer service. I drove down to Denver to his store and he welcomed me as I walked in the door. I told him I was picking up the live crawfish order and one thing led to another, I told him my situation that I dropped the ball on ordering live crawfish online and that I needed recommendations on places to rent boiling equipment. Bruce said "I have boiling equipment you can use at no cost". We jumped into my truck and went down the street to pick up his burner, pot and strainer. Bruce not only lended me his equipment for free, but he also cut me a discount (did not ask) for the crawfish. The live crawfish was great, alive and in good size! Seafood Landing is an amazing Seafood store! I am a longtime patron and have never been disappointed in any regard. Scottish salmon, Grouper, Cod, Mahi Mahi, Sole, Scallops, live lobsters...  you name it they have it. And if they don't, they'll order it for you! The owner and his assistants are friendly and helpful. We're on a first name basis.   They will slice the fish off a large fillet just the way you want it. Overall was a very pleasant experience. It's sad that it's almost unexpected to receive great customer service now a days. Lots of customer traffic through the place but we had a very knowledgeable and dedicated staff member that took the time to clearly answer any question we may have had. The young man behind the counter even knew the reason why lobsters supposedly "scream". He quickly quelled my concern of boiling live lobsters and let me know that it's only air escaping the voids within the animal. Never heard of seafood landing for all the years I lived in Colorado. I do live south of Denver but there is no excuse for not locating their business as I have done online searches for fresh seafood in the past. Recently, for our fifth wedding anniversary I picked up sushi grade tuna, scallops, a filet and king crab. We made an assortment of dishes and felt like we were eating on the coast due the the freshness of the seafood. It is amazing to be land locked and able to enjoy fresh seafood. I highly recommend seafood landing if you are looking to prepare a restaurant quality dinner at home. We will stop by every time I am in the area to pick up quality food. read more

Went to seafood landing today bought two sockeye fillets and some shrimp. Cooked the Salmon with lemon, roasted garlic, green onion, olive oil, marinade. Then served it with basil couscous, and fresh rip tomatos. One of the best meals I've made in awhile in no small part due to this wonderful store. read more

Dude wouldn't let me use a "private parking" space in the parking lot (all of the ones marked for his place were empty) while I ran in for five minutes to grab take out at the place next door.
