Walked in to order peeled and deveined shrimp, which takes a while to prepare. Had an allergy attack - couldn't breathe - so waited outside. As soon as the order was finished, they came to get me, and checked me out right away. Next time I ordered, I called it in. When I got there, as soon as I walked in, they greeted me and checked me out immediately. I was not in the store more than 2 minutes, thereby averting another allergy attack. I grew up in a fishing community in NE Massachusetts, I love seafood, and when I first moved to Colorado I had a very hard time finding a great selection of fresh fish. I first went to Seafood Landing about 4 years ago after moving to the Highlands and it's really a gem. Excellent crawfish and customer service. We ordered about 15lbs to do a mini boil at home and the crawfish were VERY FRESH and CLEAN. Not a single dead one in the batch. Once boiled, they tasted delicious, fresh, juicy. Really nice and helpful guys who work in the store. After two amazingly successful trips to the Seafood Landing, I'm eager to give Bruce 5 big ol' stars. This place is a lifesaver for landlocked Coloradans. After trying the H-mart, Whole Foods, Costco, and Sunflower in an attempt to eat fresh, delicious sushi at home, i had conceded that we would always eat mediocre, frozen fish while living so far from the ocean. Fortunately, I had that initial serendipitous stop at the Seafood Landing. First tried the mussels and then hamachi, salmon, and escolar. Everything was delicious, responsibly handled, and very affordable. Not to mention, Bruce is extremely amiable, helpful, and knowledgeable. I would go to great lengths to selfishly ensure the continued success of this place. Like I said, I've only been twice, and I'm hooked. The only downside is, I have all this frozen H-mart fish I have to endure. Perhaps our dog will take one for the team. read more

I haven't purchased fish from them yet, so I cannot judge the quality of the fish, but I did talk with the owner for a while one day. From talking with him I can assure you that I will be back here for fish after my year of vegetarianism is over. Some fish caught here is sustainably fished, but not all of it. If it was all sustainably caught, this would a five star review. He was very helpful answering all questions I had. I went the first time to locate some lobsters and clams for a lobster bake (note to self when pregnant no watching travel channel!) Great price I only spent $50 bucks and walked out with two lovely lively lobsters, clams, mussels and huge shrimp! YUMMY! The second time I went in search of the infamous whitefish salad, which is amazing you must eat it! Ideally on a nice toasted baguette, with a little parm on top! Ohhh so good! Came here to buy live lobsters for new year's eve. All the seafood in the case looked fresh. The service was great. They allowed me to select the lobsters myself and offered to pack them on ice if I needed it. We steamed the lobsters and they tasted sweet and delicious, the closest to fresh in Maine flavor I've found, outside of Maine. I've had live lobsters from other places that had a chemical flavor which must come from how their tanks are managed. Seafood Landing is where I'll buy lobsters from now on. read more

I grew up in South Texas on the Gulf of Mexico and to say I'm SUPER SUPER REALLY REALLY picky about seafood is putting it mildly :) From fish to crab to crawfish to shrimp....they have it all. First of all, thank you thank you thank you for being in Denver where it's really hard to get decent seafood. Secondly, why haven't I gone to this place sooner? OMG, the best salmon I've ever had. It's fatty, fresh, and sweet. It doesn't smell fishy AT ALL!! The fishmonger (although young) really knows his fish. He was super courteous, knowledgeable and always goes the extra mile to satisfy his customers. Need some ice? He will give you a bag before you open your mouth. Need certain cut of the fish? He got it. Only needs a thin strip of salmon like 3 oz? No problem. The price is not bad consider how fresh it is. I needed several items in very small quantities and he was very accommodating. I think I will get my sashimi grade fish from here from now on. It's so much cheaper and so much better than most sushi you get from restaurants. They also sell frozen escargot stuffed with garlic herbs in a bag. I am looking forward to try it soon. read more

Seafood Landing is a great, quaint place to get your seafood in the Highlands neighborhood - I suggest it. Being part of the little "strip mall" on 32nd Ave, I think it tends to get overlooked, but make no mistake, Bruce knows what he's doing. Great customer service, fair prices, and you won't have to fight the crowds like you would at a large market. We've gotten mussels, clams, mahi mahi, white fish...all has been fresh and enjoyable. Plus, you gotta love a place where the owner is still as passionate about what they're selling after owning the same business for so long. This place is wonderful--the salmon and shrimp I have bought on several occassions are super fresh--way better than Whole Foods quality. Not to mention the owner is the nicest man--I showed up last night at 7:45 (he closes at 7) but he was still there, and so he opened up to sell to me.
