Ordered jerk chicken off of DoorDash. I choose the sides plantains and fries (originally wanted potatoe salad but they were out ) . The food was good fries was seasoned but just slightly too salty for me . The chicken was cooked perfectly and seasoned well. I do wish it came with more sauce/gravy so next time I will remember to request for extra. The food was excellent and the portions are worth the price. They did not mess up my order which was great. When I arrived to pick up my order, inside was full of tables set up for people to dine in and the person in the front greeted me with a warm smile. Definitely would return back .
This was my third and final attempt with Seana's. The turkey wings were covered in salty gravy to hide that the meat was bone dry. The Alfredo pasta was bland, pale, and topped with tiny pieces of chicken that looked nothing like the photo online. CARIBBEAN food should have color, flavor, and real seasoning. None of that was in this meal. The food was so bad my turkey is still untouched. I even thought about taking it back to the restaurant to show how disappointing it was. I had considered ordering their turkey for Thanksgiving catering, but after this, there is no way I would serve this to anyone.
I really wanted to like this place. I came in on a Saturday evening. I was greeted by the owner who was welcoming and friendly. I ordered the 6 piece wings lemon pepper with mashed potatoes and cabbage, and added two pieces of catfish. The wings and catfish were both fried well. I found everything perfectly crispy. The fish was too salty for my liking, and I'm the person who likes everything salty. But that's a matter of opinion. The real issue was the sides. The mashed potatoes were probably the worst I've ever had from a restaurant. They had a yellowish hue that was consistent with the color of the cabbage. You can see in the picture the potatoes almost had a thick hard crust along the edges. There's absolutely no way those were made in the last 3 days. And if they were, they aren't being stored properly. The "gravy" tasted like chicken bouillon and water. The cabbage was equally as bad. I don't know what they're using to make the food yellow, but it's not butter and it looks unappetizing. The saving grace was really the fish and wings being fried well. The prices are also very reasonable. I won't be returning, because this place gives me the vibe that it's hit or miss, and sides are very important in my opinion. When I'm eating something fried and salty, I'd like a light veggie such as cabbage or an airy mashed potato to pair it with. But the only things edible were the fish and wings. I'd suggest getting a "safe side" like fries that are likely made to order. They have too many options for sides and are obviously having trouble keeping things fresh.
Today I want to talk about a place that got me through some of the weirdest, toughest years of our lives--Seanas in Orlando. I used to hit up Seanas regularly during the pandemic. I mean, regularly. Back then, it was one of the few spots that really felt like comfort food for the soul--turkey wings that could fix your day, mac that could make you forget the news cycle, and cabbage that tasted like someone's auntie had been in the kitchen doing the Lord's work. They've got an incredible story: opened in 2020, survived COVID, fed NBA players during the bubble (which is wild), and somehow grew into one of Orlando's most beloved spots. So, today I was hit with a powerful craving: turkey wings. After a solid three-year hiatus, I figured I'd test the waters again via Uber Eats. Here's what I got: * Turkey Wing Plate * Rice with gravy ($0.50 upcharge) * Mac & Cheese ($2.50 upcharge) * Cabbage * Pineapple Lemonade The Verdict? Let's start with the gravy. Thick. Bold. Covered the rice like a warm blanket. Perfectly seasoned. The kind of gravy that makes you pause mid-bite to appreciate the flavor chemistry happening in your mouth. The turkey wings? Smothered in that same glorious gravy. Flavor? On point. Fall-off-the-bone vibes? Almost. My only gripe? Too many bones, not enough meat. I felt like I was doing orthopedic surgery just to get a decent bite. But when I did? It was worth the effort. Rice: Solid. Held up under the gravy flood. Good texture, not mushy, and properly seasoned. Cabbage: Now this was the sleeper hit. Seasoned all the way through--deep, soulful, rich. It actually elevated the wings and rice when you got the perfect forkful. Slightly overcooked? Maybe. But I'm not mad at it. I'd take flavor over texture every time. Mac & Cheese: No crust on top (probably scooped from the middle), but no complaints here. Creamy, cheesy, flavorful. Bonus points for the use of cavatappi noodles--they held onto the cheese sauce like champs. Pineapple Lemonade: Okay, so... it didn't taste like pineapple OR lemonade. More like if fruit punch and Sprite had a baby at a church picnic. Sweet as sin, but nostalgic. Reminded me of the mystery punch they'd serve after Sunday service. I added some ice to tone it down, and it was honestly kind of perfect after that. Final Thoughts: Seanas is still doing what they do best--feeding people food that feels like home. This meal brought back memories, hit the spot, and made me smile. If you've never tried them, you're missing out on a piece of Orlando soul food history. And if you have? You already know what's up. Shout out to Seanas. Y'all still got it.
My s/o & I was craving some soul food so we drove 45 minutes to this location & I promise you every minute was worth it the jerk chicken was soooo good! The chicken was not dry, the sauce was good & spicy! The mac & cheese was good-- not dry at all! The sweet potatoes were so good too! Their honey fried chicken was worth fighting over too all in all this is a great Caribbean soul food spot. Coming from the Bronx it's hard to find Caribbean spots that exceed my expectations but Seana's definitely did!

I wanted some pasta and after a quick search Seana's was perfect because they had a jerk chicken pasta . Upon arriving I was second in line. I ordered the jerk chicken pasta which came with garlic bread . I also decided to order a brown stew chicken dinner which came with rice & plantain & I was able to also order 2 more sides. So I ordered the Mac & Cheese & Candied yams. I also ordered fried okra . They had one more order of rum punch left so I ordered that too . My dinner came with a drink as well. It took about 20 mins for my order to be ready. I ate the okra before I made it home & it was crispy and delicious. The jerk pasta was delicious & took me 2 days to finish it . It was packed with meat and flavor. The rum punch packed a punch in strength. the chicken dinner I still haven't finished . I did eat The Mac & Cheese & Yams which were delicious. The chicken & rice will be dinner today or tomorrow. The host was great . The music was a vibe I would definitely return.

Ordered tonight for delivery and can't wait to have it again. What an incredible value for the price. We ordered catfish which comes with two sides my mom picked collards and mashed potatoes with gravy. It was a large portion but she just couldn't stop eating it and ate it all. I ordered the stew chicken. It comes over rice of your choice I chose rice and peas. It came with several pieces of delicious chicken. It also came with two sides I chose green beans and cabbage. Both were full of flavor I couldn't even eat half of it the portion was so big. I may have also ordered a spicy patty and side of jerk chicken. I inhaled the patty and had a piece of the jerk chicken which was full of flavor. It had some heat but I could eat it spicier but it had perfect flavors. Still have two pieces of the jerk chicken left as well. I highly recommend trying them out. You won't be disappointed
Seana's is an absolute hidden gem in Orlando. They are a soul food/Caribbean restaurant over in the Good Homes area. This is a small local joint that locals tend to flock to and it's very much a if you know you know type of vibe. When you walk in you'll see the rapport from locals with the restaurant staff. It's very much one of a mom and pop joint but the food certainly doesn't lack. The staff is incredibly friendly and hospitable and they always provide great service. We got an order of jerk chicken with rice and peas, mac and cheese, an order of salmon as well as an a la cart of shrimp. The jerk chicken was flavored to perfection, the spices hit just right. The mac cheese was seasoned well and still cheesy. The salmon was cooked perfectly, seasoned so well while still remaining juicy. The bottom line, this place is truly a hidden gem, the staff is extremely friendly, the food is amazing and all reasonably priced as well. This is absolutely worth a visit.
This is a great place for Caribbean and soul food. You order at a counter, and then there are two long tables inside, or you can get your food to go. The menu is very extensive. It's remarkable about all the different items coming out of the small kitchen. We tried three different types of chicken, and they were all good: fried chicken, jerk chicken, and lemon pepper chicken. My favorite was the jerk chicken, which was unusual in that in addition to the jerk seasoning it also had a spicy sort of barbecue sauce. Each dish comes with your choice of rice (the rice and peas was great) and two sides. Excellent potato salad. I'm looking forward to returning and exploring more of the menu.
We ordered from Seana's this past weekend since we were in the area. It's been a while since my last review, so I figured I'd add an update. Happy to say Seana's is still a five star spot! We placed a to go order over the phone. It was ready on time and the people working there were super nice as they were last time! This time I decided to try their jerk alfredo pasta with chicken. This was sooo good! It was very well seasoned with a nice kick of heat and a great creamy consistency. There was a generous amount of chicken perfectly blackened (I always have trouble finding good blackened chicken and seafood and wish other spots did it as well as Seana's!) My bf ordered meatloaf with their mashed potatoes and delicious liquid gold mac and cheese and enjoyed it very much. We also got s beef patty which was tasty. Portions are very generous and the cost has remained very affordable for the amount and quality of food. I'll continue to support this great spot anytime I'm in the area!

Black owned, Caribbean spot. My food was good and hot. Customer service was great. The lady at the front was welcoming when she took out orders and while we sat inside to eat. Thank you Ms.Pam for the wonderful hospitality! From ordering, to pick up, to general questions about the restaurant, you were very friendly and wonderful to talk to! Thank you for partnering with Yelp! I got to try wonderful food because of you! Walked into the restaurant and it was very clean. Hand sanitizer at the counter, complementary water and Kool-aid and a warm smile behind a mask. Ms. Pam knows what she's doing! Putting a full Red Velvet cake at the counter like that! You can't put homemade, Grandma's recipe Red Velvet cake next to the register and expect me not to get a slice! I brought my food home, and it was time to feast! The Mac and Cheese is LOADED with gooey cheese! I love cheese, but this was cheesier then expected! I could only eat half before tapping out. No worries though, it'll be amazing leftovers! The potato salad was fantastic! It had a good sweetness to it! It's exactly what you would want in a potato salad! Not soggy, not too heavy on the mayo, and full of amazing flavor! I've been seeing this restaurant pop up around social media and was excited to finally try it. I did take-out and everything was so easy from ordering over the phone to the pick up. I ordered the apple butter chicken with a side of the liquid gold mac and cheese. The apple butter gave a really nice sweetness to the chicken and it was cooked perfectly. That mac and cheese was some of the best I've had in a while. It was so cheesy and rich - that's what I look for in my mac and cheese. My husband ordered the chicken jerk alfredo and it came with some generous pieces of garlic bread. The alfredo sauce had such a nice, bold flavor. We also got an order of wings to split. We went with the garlic parmesean sauce and it was so delicious. The wings were perfect and still had a nice crunch even after the drive home. I also got a bottle of the Ting soda. It was my first time trying it and won't be my last! It had a light, refreshing flavor. I learned about this gem through Yelp and Andi P. posting pics on Insta, and am so freaking glad they highlighted this new(ish) biz. I live NOWHERE near this side of town 0 a good 40 minutes away - but happened to not be far a few weeks ago. I took a little detour, both on the way home and on my diet, to check Seana's out. The owner's mom was behind the counter and was the loveliest of ladies. She was just so sweet and welcoming (and not to forget gorgeous!). She helped me decide which sides to order and didn't (outwardly) judge me for over ordering. While I waited, I sat with the owner Joshua and chatted about how he got started, my background, traveling and food. He was delightful to talk with and is definitely easy on the eyes (he must get it from his momma). Haha ANYhow, the stars of the show were definitely the food items I bought. My car smelled so good and it was torturous having to wait to get home to eat. I did have a snack on the way home of a beef patty, which is never a bad choice! Theirs was hot and flaky and delish. When I got home I devoured the ox tails, mac n cheese (liquid gold as they call it) and greens, and also a slice of key lime cake. Everything was excellent. The ox tails are a bit messy and there's not a ton of meat, but the flavor is amazing! So good over the rice. The greens were also great but the real winner was that mac and cheese. Next time I'll order that for BOTH sides. So, so good. The key lime cake was also fantastic. Not overly sweet, not dry - it was perfect. Do yourself a favor and go eat here. A lot. 5 Stars for a family-owned Caribbean Soul Food restaurant that delivers on addictive comfort food! (and "liquid gold" mac and cheese that will make you squeal with joy!) I was so excited to try out Seana's, especially because it was the first day of their new menu. Everything sounded tempting, but I ended up going with the BBQ Ribs (available on Fri/Sat/& Sun only) with a side of sweet plantains and onion rings. Additionally, I got an order of potato salad, some baked beans, and the famous liquid gold mac & cheese! This was more than enough for two people to eat two meals. The portions are plentiful!! Everything was really tasty- with bold flavors that gave me the perfect mix of salty and sweet. The standouts for me were the liquid gold mac & cheese and the onion rings. Again, everything was incredible, but I could not, in good conscience, let someone leave without ordering these two sides. The onion rings were truly the best I've ever had (not an exaggeration). They were big, the batter was thick and crispy, and the seasoning was perfection. I swear I could eat a whole meal of these and be happy. The liquid gold mac & cheese is SUPER rich and cheesy. A low-calorie dish, it is not. But if you're in for decadent soul food, this mac & cheese lives up to its name. I got a large portion of it and it was enough to feed two of us as a side for two meals. Finally, I cannot end my review without mentioning Pam. She took my to-go order over the phone and from the moment she answered the phone, I felt welcomed. She guided me through some of the favorite dishes, and once I arrived to grab my food, she and I laughed about my urge to take the entire cake that was displayed on the counter home with me. [ side-note, I ended up taking just the one slice and it was AMAZING] I later came to find out that Pam is the owner's mother! Honestly, this spot was definitely worth the drive. I feel as though a good oxtail is hard to come by, so going for oxtail is an expensive risk. Thankfully this place didn't disappoint. The oxtail was very well seasoned and extremely tender, which is always a great sign. The rice and the cabbage were also amazing. The mac and cheese was a little salt-heavy for my liking, especially because everything else was heavily seasoned - but I would get it again to share with someone. Oh, and you can't forget the red Kool-Aid to wash it all down with. The customer service was great, the lady at the counter made me feel welcomed and like I was talking to one of my aunties. Pretty good spot. I tried the meatloaf which was pretty good! I'll be honest I saved a little bit for the next day and it taste a lot better the second day. Liquid gold is not a joke! I had baked beans and liquid gold macaroni and cheese for my first time there and it is official. Liquid gold equals macaroni and cheese. It has a little bit of a garlic taste to it but it is not bad at all so make sure you give it a shot. I'm looking forward to the other stuff on the menu. read more

Wow, I haven't been this satisfied from a meal since Thanksgiving! I've been following Seana's on social media for a few weeks and finally decided to order take out on a Saturday evening. The given wait time was 20 minutes and it was ready upon my arrival. For my boyfriend and I, I ordered garlic shrimp with fries, lemon pepper chicken wings with candied yams, greens, and an extra side of a large mac n cheese. Everything was great, but I'll talk highlights - the chicken had a nice citrus flavor and tons of meat, the yams and greens had a traditional southern flavor (they're on the sweet side), and as a person who's not a big fan of mac n cheese, I would definitely order it again. You can actually taste the clusters of cheese in each bite. Yum! This amount of food was more than enough for two people but we couldn't stop eating. I also got their lemonade which was too sweet for me by itself so I'm using it to make a mix drink instead lol. And aside from the great food, the person I interacted with over the phone and in person had great customer service. Truly looking forward to our next visit. read more

OMG!!! ....I loved this place!!!! The food tastes amazing and they have customer service at a level that makes you feel like you are visiting a relative. It was a nice change and something that I wish other restaurants in the area would learn from. We started with garlic wings and candied yams. The wings were piping hot with a crunchy outside and a moist inside. The garlic sauce was the best that I have had anywhere. The candied yams were cooked to perfection with the perfect balance of warm spices. After devouring the wings we moved on to the smothered pork chops, two steak sandwiches, jerk pasta with shrimp, seafood Mac & cheese, greens, fries and two orders of plantains. I never ordered smothered pork chops before but they were so good that I can not wait to go back and order them again. The collards were smooth and put my personal recipe to shame. I highly recommend that you try them. The jerk pasta sauce was a huge hit and the seafood mac & cheese should be packaged and sold to other restaurants. Seana's even delivered on the plantains. I was very excited to be selected for the Yelp event here since I had been dying to try this place out. I got the Apple Butter Chicken with a side Liquid Gold (Mac & Cheese) and it was delicious. The chicken had a Sweetness to it but not too sweet and the meat was tender and flavorful. I also ordered 10 Fried Shrimp and the Caribbean Jerk Pasta with Chicken. The pasta portion was so big that my boyfriend had it for dinner and lunch the next day. He praised the flavor of the meal and the tenderness of the chicken. Since it was raining, and our original plans got canceled, we decided to come, and try this restaurant out. I drove 35 miles having very high expectations for the food presented (in pictures) here on Yelp. I'm thankful, and very happy to say it did not disappoint. The food was spectacular. It was everything you would expect from a southern soul food, Caribbean restaurant. I enjoyed how the laid back, feel good music, along with the ambiance took me back in time, to the island of Jamaica, where everything is irie. To top it all off, the chef's, &/or cooks in the back was not playing around when they were cooking. If I closed my eyes, and went solely off the aroma, I would think it were my mother, grandmother, and granny in the kitchen cooking. This was perfection at it's finest for me. Tried out this little local spot located off Good Homes Road and West Colonial today for dinner. Their YES! meal included grilled chicken with their famous liquid gold Mac and cheese. Definitely hit the spot for me. The staff are friendly and had my meal waiting for me when I arrived for my call ahead order. My only reason for not giving them a full 5 stars is because my Mac and cheese was lukewarm when I got back home. I only live 10 minutes away and by the time I got home the cheese was congealed already. I am sure this would've been delicious straight from the kitchen, I wouldn't suggest take out for the Mac and cheese. Though their grilled chicken was amazing and I am a huge fan of dark meat since it has so much for flavor and juice. I don't know what they put on the seasoning or rub but keep it up! read more

The first time I tried Seana's was for a Yelp event. I went back two days later and got food for my whole family! It is delicious. I love this fusion of Jamaican and soul food. I have had the Apple Butter chicken. The chicken was juicy and the apple butter glaze was sweet, flavorful and sticky. The ribs pull right off the bone. They are perfection. The oxtail tasted like it was cooked with love for hours. There was such a depth of flavor in the sauce and the oxtail was super tender. It was amazing with the rice! As for the sides, they don't call their Mac n cheese liquid gold for nothing. It is cheesy, has a punch of flavor. It is so comforting to eat. It just made you feel food. The collard greens are spicy and I am here for it. They were really good paired with the sweet plantains. Sweet plantains are one of my favorites. These definitely deliver everything I was hoping for in taste and cook. The Ting beverage is great and the carrot cake was quite yummy too! I really can't wait to come back and try something else new! The thing I was most impressed with was the smiles and welcome I received walking in. Went earlier today because my girl was getting her hair cut next door and when I say the food was soooooo amazing!! Like my family is Jamaican so I'm used to home style so when I say this place felt like home! I got the Jerk Pasta w/ Shrimp and when I say it was so good I had to screenshot the place and remember this place because I will always come here!! Literally I put on my Snapchat story and like 10 of my friends is going to go this weekend. This is food cooked with love, passion and a whole lot of flavor!! The staff is genuinely friendly and super helpful when you're deciding what to eat. I tried the Apple Butter Chicken with Liquid Gold Mac & Cheese. The chicken is tender, juicy and falls off the bone. Love the sauce that it's slathered in. The Liquid Gold Mac & Cheese definitely lives up to its name. I could eat that every day and be happy. It's so creamy, cheesy and just makes you smile as you take another bite. I also ordered the Fried Pork Chops with a side of Collard Greens and more Mac N Cheese so I could try a variety. Those pork chops are to die for! The breading is perfectly crisp, the meat is juicy, delicious and packed with flavor. Huge portions too! The collard greens are a great addition with the perfect kick of spice at the end. To finish it off, I tried the cake of the day which was pink lemonade pound cake -- the perfect ending to this flavorful feast. Just the right amount of sweetness to leave you satisfied. This is my first time trying Caribbean food and visiting this side of town and it's thanks to the YES deal Meal bundle that was offered. The four stars is for the mac & cheese it was very tasty and delicious I really enjoyed it! The chicken however was a little disappointing because it lacked flavor. The dressing was a bit sweet which was a surprise but it only was on the outside of the skin of the chicken. Based on other reviews I might be open to try some other dishes. The Jamaican soda Ting - sparkling grapefruit was yummy. On the sweeter side but very refreshing! First time trying! read more

Thank you to Yelp! and Seana's for some yummy food a Yelp! bag and charger. From the moment I walked into Seana's I knew there was something different. They genuinely cared about me, my order and my gluten allergy. There were no eye rolls or impatient attitudes, even when I spilled water all over the floor! The food was absolutely flavorful, unique and perfectly spiced. Look at the size of those chicken tenders. Unfortunately I can't eat them with my allergy but my husband raves about them. The sides he had were macaroni and cheese and collard greens-just watch out for the kick on those greens. I had the apple butter chicken but because of my allergy I had to forgo the sauce. It sounded so good. But the chicken was so tender and juicy and had such a good taste even without the sauce! I had plantains for my side-they were sweet on the inside and crispy on the outside. My daughter had the chicken Alfredo and garlic bread. It was a generous serving and also delicious. Joshua, the owner, Miss Pam, his Mom and cashier extraordinaire plus everyone cooking that scrumptious food were so sweet and kind. They even helped take a picture. Got the Monday salmon lunch special. The food was tasty, and the veggies were fresh and generous, but overall the portion size was too small. Cabbage was very good and reminded me of classic southern style. Collards were made from fresh vegetables, but were too sweet. The biggest issue was the portion of salmon was very small. Also, I think the lunch specials should come with rice, it's not really a complete meal as is and not worth $10 for such a small entree. Overall, good taste, but not blown away by the value. If the lunch specials came with rice it would be a lot better. read more
