I really wanted to like this place. I came in on a Saturday evening. I was greeted by the owner who was welcoming and friendly. I ordered the 6 piece wings lemon pepper with mashed potatoes and cabbage, and added two pieces of catfish. The wings and catfish were both fried well. I found everything perfectly crispy. The fish was too salty for my liking, and I'm the person who likes everything salty. But that's a matter of opinion. The real issue was the sides. The mashed potatoes were probably the worst I've ever had from a restaurant. They had a yellowish hue that was consistent with the color of the cabbage. You can see in the picture the potatoes almost had a thick hard crust along the edges. There's absolutely no way those were made in the last 3 days. And if they were, they aren't being stored properly. The "gravy" tasted like chicken bouillon and water. The cabbage was equally as bad. I don't know what they're using to make the food yellow, but it's not butter and it looks unappetizing. The saving grace was really the fish and wings being fried well. The prices are also very reasonable. I won't be returning, because this place gives me the vibe that it's hit or miss, and sides are very important in my opinion. When I'm eating something fried and salty, I'd like a light veggie such as cabbage or an airy mashed potato to pair it with. But the only things edible were the fish and wings. I'd suggest getting a "safe side" like fries that are likely made to order. They have too many options for sides and are obviously having trouble keeping things fresh.

Today I want to talk about a place that got me through some of the weirdest, toughest years of our lives--Seanas in Orlando. I used to hit up Seanas regularly during the pandemic. I mean, regularly. Back then, it was one of the few spots that really felt like comfort food for the soul--turkey wings that could fix your day, mac that could make you forget the news cycle, and cabbage that tasted like someone's auntie had been in the kitchen doing the Lord's work. They've got an incredible story: opened in 2020, survived COVID, fed NBA players during the bubble (which is wild), and somehow grew into one of Orlando's most beloved spots. So, today I was hit with a powerful craving: turkey wings. After a solid three-year hiatus, I figured I'd test the waters again via Uber Eats. Here's what I got: * Turkey Wing Plate * Rice with gravy ($0.50 upcharge) * Mac & Cheese ($2.50 upcharge) * Cabbage * Pineapple Lemonade The Verdict? Let's start with the gravy. Thick. Bold. Covered the rice like a warm blanket. Perfectly seasoned. The kind of gravy that makes you pause mid-bite to appreciate the flavor chemistry happening in your mouth. The turkey wings? Smothered in that same glorious gravy. Flavor? On point. Fall-off-the-bone vibes? Almost. My only gripe? Too many bones, not enough meat. I felt like I was doing orthopedic surgery just to get a decent bite. But when I did? It was worth the effort. Rice: Solid. Held up under the gravy flood. Good texture, not mushy, and properly seasoned. Cabbage: Now this was the sleeper hit. Seasoned all the way through--deep, soulful, rich. It actually elevated the wings and rice when you got the perfect forkful. Slightly overcooked? Maybe. But I'm not mad at it. I'd take flavor over texture every time. Mac & Cheese: No crust on top (probably scooped from the middle), but no complaints here. Creamy, cheesy, flavorful. Bonus points for the use of cavatappi noodles--they held onto the cheese sauce like champs. Pineapple Lemonade: Okay, so... it didn't taste like pineapple OR lemonade. More like if fruit punch and Sprite had a baby at a church picnic. Sweet as sin, but nostalgic. Reminded me of the mystery punch they'd serve after Sunday service. I added some ice to tone it down, and it was honestly kind of perfect after that. Final Thoughts: Seanas is still doing what they do best--feeding people food that feels like home. This meal brought back memories, hit the spot, and made me smile. If you've never tried them, you're missing out on a piece of Orlando soul food history. And if you have? You already know what's up. Shout out to Seanas. Y'all still got it.

My s/o & I was craving some soul food so we drove 45 minutes to this location & I promise you every minute was worth it the jerk chicken was soooo good! The chicken was not dry, the sauce was good & spicy! The mac & cheese was good-- not dry at all! The sweet potatoes were so good too! Their honey fried chicken was worth fighting over too all in all this is a great Caribbean soul food spot. Coming from the Bronx it's hard to find Caribbean spots that exceed my expectations but Seana's definitely did!

Ordered tonight for delivery and can't wait to have it again. What an incredible value for the price. We ordered catfish which comes with two sides my mom picked collards and mashed potatoes with gravy. It was a large portion but she just couldn't stop eating it and ate it all. I ordered the stew chicken. It comes over rice of your choice I chose rice and peas. It came with several pieces of delicious chicken. It also came with two sides I chose green beans and cabbage. Both were full of flavor I couldn't even eat half of it the portion was so big. I may have also ordered a spicy patty and side of jerk chicken. I inhaled the patty and had a piece of the jerk chicken which was full of flavor. It had some heat but I could eat it spicier but it had perfect flavors. Still have two pieces of the jerk chicken left as well. I highly recommend trying them out. You won't be disappointed

I wanted some pasta and after a quick search Seana's was perfect because they had a jerk chicken pasta . Upon arriving I was second in line. I ordered the jerk chicken pasta which came with garlic bread . I also decided to order a brown stew chicken dinner which came with rice & plantain & I was able to also order 2 more sides. So I ordered the Mac & Cheese & Candied yams. I also ordered fried okra . They had one more order of rum punch left so I ordered that too . My dinner came with a drink as well. It took about 20 mins for my order to be ready. I ate the okra before I made it home & it was crispy and delicious. The jerk pasta was delicious & took me 2 days to finish it . It was packed with meat and flavor. The rum punch packed a punch in strength. the chicken dinner I still haven't finished . I did eat The Mac & Cheese & Yams which were delicious. The chicken & rice will be dinner today or tomorrow. The host was great . The music was a vibe I would definitely return.

Seana's is an absolute hidden gem in Orlando. They are a soul food/Caribbean restaurant over in the Good Homes area. This is a small local joint that locals tend to flock to and it's very much a if you know you know type of vibe. When you walk in you'll see the rapport from locals with the restaurant staff. It's very much one of a mom and pop joint but the food certainly doesn't lack. The staff is incredibly friendly and hospitable and they always provide great service. We got an order of jerk chicken with rice and peas, mac and cheese, an order of salmon as well as an a la cart of shrimp. The jerk chicken was flavored to perfection, the spices hit just right. The mac cheese was seasoned well and still cheesy. The salmon was cooked perfectly, seasoned so well while still remaining juicy. The bottom line, this place is truly a hidden gem, the staff is extremely friendly, the food is amazing and all reasonably priced as well. This is absolutely worth a visit.

Oh they doing it big here. Open the day after Christmas we took the 30 minute ride from Kissimmee andhave no complaints. Quick service and great food and it all cost about $45 (large lunch menu).

This is a great place for Caribbean and soul food. You order at a counter, and then there are two long tables inside, or you can get your food to go. The menu is very extensive. It's remarkable about all the different items coming out of the small kitchen. We tried three different types of chicken, and they were all good: fried chicken, jerk chicken, and lemon pepper chicken. My favorite was the jerk chicken, which was unusual in that in addition to the jerk seasoning it also had a spicy sort of barbecue sauce. Each dish comes with your choice of rice (the rice and peas was great) and two sides. Excellent potato salad. I'm looking forward to returning and exploring more of the menu.

We ordered the Rasta and the Jerk pasta. It was very salty! This is coming from someone who loves salt. The Rasta was just not good at all. The container had a big hole at the bottom. It could have come from the delivery driver, but not sure.

We ordered from Seana's this past weekend since we were in the area. It's been a while since my last review, so I figured I'd add an update. Happy to say Seana's is still a five star spot! We placed a to go order over the phone. It was ready on time and the people working there were super nice as they were last time! This time I decided to try their jerk alfredo pasta with chicken. This was sooo good! It was very well seasoned with a nice kick of heat and a great creamy consistency. There was a generous amount of chicken perfectly blackened (I always have trouble finding good blackened chicken and seafood and wish other spots did it as well as Seana's!) My bf ordered meatloaf with their mashed potatoes and delicious liquid gold mac and cheese and enjoyed it very much. We also got s beef patty which was tasty. Portions are very generous and the cost has remained very affordable for the amount and quality of food. I'll continue to support this great spot anytime I'm in the area!

YUM!! The owner greeted us, took our order and waited on us. She was so kind & friendly and gave us great insight on the area when we shared our plans to move locally soon. The food was out very quickly, hot and perfectly cooked, the flavor out of this world!! Large portions. My meal came with 2 pieces of the sweetest plantains, almost like a dessert! Indoor seating, clean & comfortable. Also loved the "community board" with business cards and info on other local businesses and entrepreneurs. read more

Visited Seana's with my wife for dinner. Had the fried chicken with baked beans and mac and cheese. My wife went for the curry chicken with mac and cheese and collard greens. Fried chicken was outstanding, as was the mac and cheese. Same goes for the curry chicken. However, the greens and baked beans fell a bit flat. Service was quick and friendly. Prices are on par with what you'd expect of a restaurant of this caliber. Extremely clean and plenty of seating. We will be returning and would highly recommend. read more

While on vacation in the Orlando area, I decided to check out this place Seana's carribean. I placed phone order and 15 minutes later it was ready. You can dine in or carryout. I am not sure if they deliver or not (call restaurant for more info.) A real friendly guy was at the counter. I told him my name and he gave me my food order. I told him I seen this restaurant on YELP so I wanted to check it out. I bought the hot honey wings ( you can choose any flavor) and fries and a sweet tea for my drink. The chicken wings were piping hot. One bite and I'm immediately impressed. Not too hot (spicy) and too sweet ( honey). The sweet tea was good too. A perfect blend. Sometimes homemade sweet tea are loaded with sugar. A brief conversation with the guy at counter, Joshua who revealed he is the owner of this restaurant . I will definitely come back again whenever I'm in the Orlando area. read more

WOW. My only regret is not trying this place sooner (esp since it's so close to me)! Went on a Sunday after we called in our order for take-out. Craving soul food or Caribbean cuisine? Seana's doesn't make you choose, with options from each fare & some fusions of both flavors. My boyfriend got the jerk chicken tacos, & I got the barbecue jerk chicken. My entree came with yellow rice & two sides, & of course had to go with Mac & cheese & collard greens. Everything was DELICIOUS, & so well seasoned. If you're looking for flavor, this is it. The jerk chicken tacos were fresh, yet filling. The barbecue jerk chicken had a spice that gave it just enough kick without drowning out other elements. The Mac & cheese was creamy, greasy goodness, & the collard greens were so good you might forget that it's a vegetable. Portions will leave you with leftovers, or at least pleasantly full. So good, definitely planning on going here more regularly to try the rest of the menu! read more

Came from Savannah looking for an authentic soul food spot and was directed to them and 2 others. I chose them because of their mac & cheese(liquid gold). After spending almost $90 the pictures are what we refuse to eat. The rice is hard, the goat was salty, the turkey wings had no flavor only flavor in the gravy, the mac & cheese was just mac definitely missed the cheese Parr. The chicken was good, and the kids shrimp were 4 medium shrimp. The rum punch was excellent I can say that. But we just wasted money because it was not anything it was hyped up to be. To the owners review: McDonald's sell $1 cheeseburgers allday doesn't mean it's what it's supposed to be instead of being defensive and offering an explanation to what OTHER people do you could have left it at "we apologizes". read more

The food here was dry and unseasoned. I order the fish and it was horrible. It was not hot rather luke warm and unseasoned. The worst fish I have ever tasted. The lady that took my order had a attitude. They give you a piece of old white bread. I know something was not right by the name of the restaurant; but I decided to try it against my better judgemet. How do you combine Jamaican food with soul food; that was the first red . . It was also over priced. I threw the food away and went home and made a tuna sandwich. A waste of my time gas and money. One of my favorite restaurants in all off Orlando food is amazing always fresh and consistent. Nice place to eat inside really feels like a part of the community or too go everything is cooked to order so it's always just as good when I get home. I've never eaten soul food that was so bland! I almost thought I had COVID. I'm truly disappointed that the reviews are so high and the food was sub par. Maybe they are having a bad day. WOW..... just WOW. This place has left me speechless ya'll. Ok so let me start from the beginning, I had recently found out about this spot through some friends that were raving about how amazing the food was and I decided to give it a try... risking it all driving through an apocalyptic rainstorm on the 408 to get there (lol gotta love Florida), and boy let me tell you that was that the best decision I have ever made in my life. When I tell you this is some of the tastiest Caribbean soul food that I have ever had I promise it's not just me exaggerating. During my visit I ordered the oxtails over yellow rice and fried plantains, w/ two sides the greens and the liquid gold Mac and cheese. Now I have had my fair share of oxtails in my day but I do have to say that Seana's was probably one of my top favorites! The oxtails were super tender and cooked to perfection. The liquid gold Mac and cheese definitely lived up to its reputation with its cheesy goodness, and what can I say about them greens... I am just the biggest sucker for them, soo flavorful. Overall I was definitely satisfied with my dinner, they made sure that you didn't leave hungry with the amount of food they served you. Oh and the best part was the hospitality of the owners who were super humble and appreciative of all their patrons. Ya'll have to come check this spot out the next time you're in the Good Homes area... even if you aren't in the area then make the drive... it's totally worth it! read more

What a lovely visit we had! Everything was so perfect. The food, service and the decor was nice. They had a few specials on the board that day. After asking a couple questions, I immediately ordered the Crab & Shrimp Mac & Cheese. As soon was I heard liquid gold meant Mac & Cheese, I was sold! Off a recommendation, I ordered the Prestige brand beer. After a little while, they brought the food out and it was soo good! Very wholesome flavors, that made the drive worth the half hour. On top of that, they were so nice! We found out it was the owners birthday, so in a way, we got to celebrate with him. While we were here the only ones there, the owner and his mother were very charming and easy to converse with. Overall a worthwhile experience. Especially to be able to support a local small black business. I would recommend. read more

Some of my favorites so far: - Oxtails over rice with a side of mac n cheese - Fried Whiting - Pork Chops This is comfort food at it's finest - and all at a very affordable price which will keep me coming back. I just found my new chicken tenders place! Wow! I've been on the search for the best chicken tenders in the Orlando area and I've found it here at Seana's!!! I tried the tenders tossed in garlic and Parmesan sauce and they were DELICIOUS. I ordered a side of Mac n cheese - which was ALSO the best Mac n cheese I've ever ordered - and a side of onion rings which also were great. My husband ordered the fried chicken with fries and he said it was okay. I shared my chicken tenders with him and he agreed that they were amazing and now he can't wait to order the tenders next time we eat from here. The tenders were even good as leftovers the next day! This place is great, I went here for a work thing and got their Jerk Chicken Alfredo to go and it was amazing! Probably one of the best i have had. It was super creamy, full of flavor, not too spicy, had tons of chicken, and their garlic bread was really good. We then decided to get it for delivery and it was just as good, you can tell they cook from the heart & soul because everything is full of flavor! I got the turkey with gravy and rice (even though it was more bones then meat, only downside, it was still really good). I got it with collard greens and mac & cheese. I also got a side of plantains and their jerk wings. Again everything was good. Will definitely be trying more in the future! read more

My auntie and I were actually driving to another restaurant when I happened to look over and see the sign and decided to look them up on yelp and saw how good the food looked and the reviews and decided to go there instead and boy were we glad we did the food was amazing the mac & cheese ohhhh sooooo good! You can tell they love what they do whoever was cooking our food in the back was actually singing while they were doing it! From the food to the service was 10/10! I had found Seana's on Instagram and the Salmon caught my eye in a heartbeat. Upon walking in I was in a whirlwind trying to figure out what I wanted because everything sounded so good! Finally I was told the Salmon was spectacular and the jerk chicken pasta was amazing as well so I stuck with salmon and I literally cannot wait to go back! It was so juicy and seasoned so well. It smelled like HEAVEN! I got it on a bed of rice and liquid gold Mac and cheese ! I also bought the strawberry cheesecake pound cake from @nefruititi_sweets and I wish I woulda bought two because my mom ended up eating the rest of mine. I tried this place for the first time yesterday and OMG! This is exactly what I been looking for! I moved to Orlando about 7 months ago and been looking for that perfect home cooked meal and this by far has been the best ! The Macaroni and cheese was so cheesy I LOVED IT. That and my baked beans mixed were heaven! The smothered pork chop and rice was great. The chops are perfect size for me not to thick or thin usually I always have a bad experience trying chops somewhere and here is perfect! Went today for the first time after reading the reviews. The place was clean it was around 8pm and the person assisting us had on his mask. We had two orders of fried white fish and two orders of the hot honey chicken. The fish was great not overly seasoned just right and the collard greens were decent. Not too flavorful but not salty which is good. Now the peas and rice I was disappointed no flavor at all! It was plain, I think the cook forgot the seasonings. My sons enjoyed the chicken they said it was great just wish they had more instead of the 4 chicken strips. I will return if I am in the area again I live 25 miles away so it was a hike, but I will try them again and do different sides and try the chicken. Overall I recommend them to enjoy a good dinner with decent prices. read more

I often use Yelp to bookmark restaurants where I've had good experiences to make sure I go back. Seana's is no exception. I met the owner who is kind, energetic and enthusiastic about his business. The food at Seana's is so good that they were allowed into the NBA Bubble! I spend a lot of time driving on 50 between the Orlando and Spring Hill. I'd rather stop at Seana's than any of the chains! I went here to try the food since I had heard such great things, and can't wait to come back again. I had the whiting, liquid gold (mac and cheese), greens, and a lemonade. The whiting was fried perfectly crispy, the Mac and cheese was creamy and cheesy, and the greens were flavored perfectly! Can't wait to try the seafood liquid gold next time. Got a chance to try out this amazing little Caribbean Soul food restaurant, that just opened its doors on January 10th, and already they are starting to buzz around.. Few people I can across mentioned them to me. So I decided to give them a try.. I ordered mini ribs, shrimp, Mac and cheese, seafood Mac and cheese and a cookies and cream pound cake. Shrimp was lightly friend seasoned and cooked perfectly.. The Mac and cheese was ok.. doesn't look like it but its creamy and cheesey.. their cheese sauce saved it from the lack of cheese. How every the seafood Mac and cheese was good.. cheesey and filled with chunky crab and shrimp pieces. Mini ribs were braised in a rum sauce.. The most complex ribs I have ever tasted.. Very rich in flavoring. My Haitian ass needed some rice with it but it was absolutely amazing. Pound cake was sweet and DELICIOUS.. Overall the food was very tasty.. I tried Sienna's Caribbean & Soul Food, and honestly... this place has so much potential, but my experience just wasn't it. I'm not sure if it was because I ordered late or what, but the fried chicken was fried way too hard. Like... hard hard. No juiciness, no moisture--just dry all the way through. And on top of that, it had no real seasoning. I could taste a little honey, but outside of that? No flavor. I found Seana's through a social media influencer and decided to check it out, so glad I did! I tried the honey fried chicken, and let me tell you, it was absolutely amazing. The portion sizes were generous, but honestly, that didn't stop me from licking every single finger like I was trying to savor the last bit of magic.
