We arrived around noon, which allowed us to see the restaurant before it became too crowded. The initial atmosphere was pleasant, with empty tables and an intriguing revolving area for side dishes like vegetables and noodles. As the meal progressed, the restaurant began to fill up, and this is where some difficulties emerged. The most significant issue was the incredibly slow meat service. As a large party, we found ourselves in a frustrating cycle of ordering food, eating quickly, and then waiting a pretty long period of time for the next round of meat. This prolonged waiting time meant we didn't get to consume as much food as we'd hoped especially given the limited time for AYCE. The servers were consistently friendly and pleasant, which was a positive aspect of the dining experience. The restaurant did offer an impressive array of side dishes, including various vegetables and accompaniments. When SeaPot first opened, I tried it and loved it. The meat was fresh, and the BBQ was great. So I went back a second and third time. But the video I'm posting is from my last visit, and I never went back again. The BBQ meat was very salty, and we couldn't eat it. My godfather came to visit me from Florida, and I felt so disappointed. They're not consistent with their food. I didn't go back there for almost a year! Meat quality was great, and there were TONS of options for topping. I was so full that I forgot to check dessert options. Vibes - loved the 2013-2018 EDM music bumping with the dark interior and fire pits throughout the restaurant. For drinks, they have a variety of soju, beers, and sake to compliment your meal. I gave 4 stars because the service was so good. I've been wanting to try this place for quite some time but the wait was always too long. Today I decided just to get the hot pot. For meats we just got rib eye and pork belly. The pork belly was cut very thick compared to other places I've eaten at but it was perfect for the person I was with. All in all it was okay I would just question the freshness of the veggies as it all was bruised/had brown spots. I do plan to go back and try Korean BBQ so we will see what comes of that read more

I've been waiting 8 months for Seapot to open after seeing their sign put up next to King's Buffet. I love the revolving conveyor food concept, and they exceed my expectation with their food quality, ambiance, and service. Plus, it's only 5 mins from my house!! I like Volcano Hot Pot in Carrolton, but the space felt cramped. Seapot remodeled everything in the building and they did a fantastic job with the interior design. The tables are huge and can sit 6-10 people with their individual pots. Every table has the KBBQ grill on top, along with an individual hot pot stove. There are two conveyor belts in the restaurant, running down the middle. They have a giant TV and open mic for karaoke, and this cool fire smoke as decors. We visited during weekday lunch and it wasn't packed at all, but that's probably thanks to the rain. Our server, Magdalene was exceptional and explained everything thoroughly. She even made conversations with me as I took photos and fangirled about the place. The hot pot price for weekday lunch is $19.99/person, that's the cheapest price I've seen since 2021. You pick your own broth from the list of options (plain, spicy, kimchi, miso, etc) and meat from the menu. The rest are on the conveyor belt which runs through every table. The sauce bar was very cool and included some sauces that I haven't seen before like Sacha BBQ or seafood sauce. I just let my sister make me one since I'm not too crazy about sauces. They also have an area for fruits and simple fried appetizers such as fries and chicken nuggets. The fried stuff was pretty empty when we came so I didn't get any. The hot pots came quickly but the sliced meats did take 10 mins. We were too excited grabbing our veggies and noodles from the conveyor belt though. The table is really big and felt nice to sit at, and we didn't have to cram our plates on top of each other to make space. I was able to cook my food slowly and individually instead of throwing everything in at once. I like my spicy broth, it had a good kick but might be too oily for some people. The tom yum broth wasn't good, it tasted like plain sour broth according to my sister's boyfriend. The herbal plain broth was good, and taste similar to other Chinese hot pot places. They also refilled the broths for free if you want more. The meat servings were a lot per order. They didn't skim it at all. We tried the beef toro, lamb, brisket, and ribeye, and they were all great quality. My favorites are the beef toro and brisket because I like how fatty it is. Their veggies are clean and they include a lot of options. The plates are small so you can grab as many as you want without leaving leftovers. I'm not sure how often they switch them out, but some of the raw seafood did have a funky smell when they pass by. Overall, it was a great experience, especially during their opening week. Our server was amazing, but so were the others. They constantly check on us when they walk by. The food was delicious and the restaurant is so clean and spacious. We also got two packs of chopsticks as gifts and they're pretty cute. I'm excited to come back and try their KBBQ option when they do offer it. read more

After seeing the "coming soon" sign for a while, we were finally able to go to the soft opening of Seapot. For the soft opening, they only had hot pot, but we didn't mind. Seafood, veggies, noodles, etc. roll by on a conveyor belt, meats are ordered. All seemed high quality and fresh. There's a self-serve bar for sauces and sides, like egg rolls, and some fries and chicken nuggets for the kids. It was delicious, so unsurprisingly, it was PACKED! Meats for the hotpot was good quality! They were all so tender and flavorful. I think I prefer Seapot over Volcano. They have a lot more options on meat and I cannot wait to try the KBBQ once it's available. It is new so please expect a good wait, but trust me it's worth it. The staff were friendly and understanding, the only thing I probably want them to work on is the cleanliness of the sauce bowls. It looked like it wasn't washed well and were still dirty. I heard a lot of people questioning about it while I was waiting at the sauce station too. Other than that, everything was delicious! (Hence for not giving them the full 5 stars) Oh yeah! I enjoyed my first experience at Seapot. I went at a non-busy time so the service was great. Our server was helpful with his recommendations. I thought the conveyor belt of sides... to add to your hot pot was a nice feature. I wish there was more to select from, but what they offered was still good. They even had crawfish on the belt! I ordered the spicy house broth for my base and thought it was pretty tangy. Next time, I will try a different broth and see what I like more. Came here for weekday lunch during their soft opening and was very impressed. Kbbq wasn't available at the time, so we stuck with the lunch deal for $19.99/person. I enjoyed their Tom yum based broth. That was the first time I've seen a sour broth offered at an AYCE hotpot place. Marco was a very attentive waiter. You order special meats (eg lamb, ribeye, etc) with your waiter so that they can freshly cut them for you. The conveyor belt was full of the veggie, noodles, seafood, fish balls, quail eggs, mushrooms,etc. Their sauce bar had everything you can thing of. Everything came out really fresh. The establishment was very clean the overall concept was executed well. I'm incredibly disappointed with how my son and I were treated. We were excited to dine here, but what should've been a pleasant meal quickly turned into a stressful and upsetting experience. My 5-year-old son is diabetic, and he occasionally needs to eat specific snacks to keep his blood sugar stable. When we brought a small, medically necessary item for him to eat--something that wouldn't interfere with our meal or the restaurant's service--we were told outside food was not allowed. We explained his medical condition, but the staff showed no empathy or flexibility. Instead of handling the situation with understanding and compassion, they insisted on their policy without exception. Denying a child the ability to manage a serious health condition is not only unkind, it's deeply irresponsible. Policies are important, but so is common sense and human decency--especially when it involves a child's well-being. We left the restaurant feeling embarrassed and heartbroken. This is definitely a group setting kind of place and they did an amazing job serving us. The meat order was a little back up because our table ordered a lot of beef toro but other than that it was good service! The food was fresh and yummy. The broth had flavor and they also have extra stuff at the sauce bar if you needed to add ie sugar, pepper, salt. Seapot combines all of the things when you look for a great hot pot place: tasty soup bases with lots of variety, high quality meats and veggies, quality sauces with lots of variety, cleanliness and space, and finally great service. Seapot hit the mark in all of these areas. We loved the variety and quality of the food. It was alot great that you didn't need to squeeze between people and tables in order to get what you needed. Really great experience here. The all you can eat lunch deal on weekdays is amazing value. The restaurant is clean and I loved the revolving conveyer belt. Our server was so nice and attentive, granted the restaurant was pretty empty when we went (we went at an odd hour). The quality of the soup and meat was great. My only quibble was the quality of the items on the conveyer belt - they didn't taste as fresh or robust as the slices of meat, but still pretty good. Here are a few tips to help with your visit that would have been super nice to know before going (as of the date on this review and for lunch, policies may change and not sure if these apply to dinner!): 1. As long as you walk in before 3pm, you will get the lunch AYCE price 2. The no-waste fee (fee for not finishing food) only applies to the sliced meat, not the conveyer food, so you can get as much of that as you want. 3. Sometimes they have a "sauce bar" that you can go up to and make your own sauce. This helps a lot to flavor the meats. 4. You can order "half-orders" of sliced meats, helping to mitigate your risk of not finishing the plate of meat (and subsequently be charged a no-waste fee of $5 per plate). 5. Ask your server for recommendations, they are super helpful! 6. They are strict on the 90 min limit 7. Only 2 of the seats at the table are directly adjacent to the conveyer belt. If you are going in a group of more than 2 people, you'll have to designate 2 people to grab stuff or have people reach across the table to grab stuff. It's a very fun experience. I sat at the end of the table and it was hard to see what was coming on the belt. We always had to get the people sitting by the belt to get it for us. I found out about Seapot from various Instagram ads and was a little disappointed from my experience. The concept is great - AYCE hot pot with a conveyor belt AND kbbq? Sign me up! But, in practice, it doesn't work as well. First, the tables are arranged longwise so only the 2 people sitting closest to the conveyor belt are able to grab dishes, making it hard to balance getting what everyone wants, especially for larger groups. I would recommend splitting into smaller groups if you have a larger party to help facilitate a better experience. Second, maybe they were super busy when I went, but we kept having to remind our server of the meats we ordered for our hotpot and kbbq orders. I did like the small lounge like area for waiting, and you should be prepared for a wait since it's pretty popular.
