I replaced my control panel and had no luck getting it to work properly. It seems to work at first, then starts freaking out and beeping. It is like there is an imaginary person behind me repeatedly hitting cancel. Sears came out and said both my original, and the used replacement I installed were bad. I ended up buying 2 more refurbished replacements. All have the exact issue. Either I have 4 bad control panels with the exact issue, or Sears wasted my time and money. read more

today, marked the sixth visit from a technician to fix my dishwasher. When the Sears associate was here last week he did something that is causing my unit to leak. When we explained to him that it was leaking, he blamed it on my unit not being level. Well the only person who has touched my dishwasher in the past 4 weeks is the Sears guy. Before he came it was not leaking and when he left it started leaking. If the unit is leaking because it is not level that was caused by the Sears guy. I now have an unusable dishwasher because it's leaking all over my kitchen floor. This issue started in January and here we are almost April and still do not have a working unit. read more

The nightmare of Searsville. Two weeks before Christmas our washer went dead. 9 visits have been made with still no washer. We got to know the repairmen for washers very well. Warrety says 3 visit for the same repair and the machine is done. Hours and hours on the phone with people you can hardly understand (the language of Searsville, strong East Indian accent) with broken static filled phone lines. Now we will get told in ?? days what machine they are going to bequeath upon us. Definately not the Sears I grew up with. Will say that the repairman could not have been nicer. read more

arrived on time spent 5 minutes in kitchen the repair was for the vent/light button that fell off from the microwave....the microwave itself works.....he said our microwave was too big.......The microwave has been here for ten years with no problems......Was purchased and installed by professional technicians from Sears.......No one has ever said it was too big...Neither the sales person or installer.......anyway, that would not affect the reason for the service call...which was to replace or repair the vent on/off button......Tech said someone from Warranty would contact us after he filed report .....no one ever contacted us......Like I said the microwave itself works, but I dont know if it is safe to use with out a working vent read more

DON'T USE this Company! I have again contacted them as advised by their robo responder "Ryan M" on my previous yelp reviews. No less than 12 times since March I have been told someone will respond either within 24 or 72 hours or 5 days. Never a response back. I have a paid contract agreement for repairs on my snowblower until which time it can't be repaired then they guaranteed to replace it with the same or better model. The repairman twice now has been out & said it cannot be repaired & had submitted the paperwork to Sears. That was 3 months ago & we're still getting the runaround! I have wasted countless hours on this. Have I mentioned that you can't talk with anyone in the USA about the problems? Always someone in other countries who operate by a rote script & don't understand anything off script. My appointment was set by an online service which gave me a choice of three days but the hours were all "8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.". While I understand it has to be logged and assigned to a repair person, why is it that the customer cannot be told the day or night before what "smaller" window of time I might expect the person to arrive? He called at 7:58a.m. waking me up. I never expected to be the first in line and in all my 67 years it has never happened before. Valdmare walked in with wet shoes creating puddling on my wood floors. I cleaned up quickly but he was not prepared to service a dishwasher that was "leaking". Large towels had to be given to him. He was professional and found the problem within an hour. No complaint about him other than the wet shoes. Bottom line, it was irritating that in this busy world, the window of repair should narrow down as the day approaches. In my business I have to make appointments too but telling a client to wait "all day" is not reasonable. I would have irrate clients who had to take a full day off just to see me for an hour. Maybe it's time to have a "real person" monitor these appointments and put some convenience back into the hands of the customer. After all your "Deductible" went from $75 to $100 and now there is NO PERSON involved.... just a machine. Do better!! read more

Requested service because our whirlpool washer started leaking detergent on to the floor shortly after we had a sears service tech perform a routine maintenance check. Sears would not come and recheck the washer since I did not notice the problem until one day after their warranty period. So, scheduled another $149 appt to have it checked yesterday. After I explained the issue to the tech, he went out to his truck and made a phone call. Came back 20 mins later and told me the detergent dispenser needs to be replaced. Total parts and labor will be $604.29 That is how much a new washer costs! The tech never opened the washer up to diagnose. Just made a phone call and that was it. Also come to find out they were going to charge me $277 for the part when it's listed on Sears Parts Direct site for $186. Unbelievable! Terrible service! you cannot get an actual person on the phone to try to reason with them, for scheduling issues. I took a whole day off work to meet them at home 8am-5pm. I don't get paid when I don't work! I opted in for text message updates. received several telling me I was 1, 2 or 3 "stops away" - which kept changing ALL DAY. Then they CANCELLED ME at 3:00 telling me they "don't have enough technicians for my area..." Then WHY DID THEY ALL OW ME TO BOOK AN ALL DAY APPOINTMENT?? I stayed home until 5:45 (45minutes AFTER my original appointment window. Then I get a message that says "knock knock-you weren't home when we arrived, click here to reschedule". The link doesn't work and I cannot get any real person on the phone. I think this place doesn't know what the hell they are doing and all their communication is ai and it isn't working. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER Appointment was cancelled 2 hours after they were supposed to arrive (apparently the tech had a family emergency) I can understand. Scheduled another appointment (which means another day off work). Set appointment time for 7:00-11:00. Called them at 12:15 to see why they hadn't arrived yet. Was told that I was the next stop and would receive a call from the tech soon to say he was on his way. Received a text message at 12:45 to inform me my appointment was cancelled yet again. We've had this Sears service plan for years for our snowblower and have had it repaired through Sears in the past. However, this time, not only did the Tech tell us that Sears probably wouldn't pay for the parts that were needed to repair our snowblower, but he said that we'd be hearing back from them within the week about parts repair or a new replacement. YET he didn't send his notes for the parts needed to the company, and Sears didn't respond to us at all about any decision on our snowblower repair or replacement. We are supposed to have full replacement if it cannot be fixed. We finally had to call them to follow up since they didn't follow up with us. If we didn't call to follow up then nothing would have happened, and as it is today, nothing still hasn't happened! We are still waiting, now over 3 weeks later, to hear from them so we can get a functioning snow blower before the snow hits here again in Michigan! If I could give this place negative stars I would! My dryer broke and someone from Sears came and told me the dryer's motor was broken. $550 to fix and replace. So I purchased a new dryer from Best Buy...lucky for me I kept ordering the wrong one online because it was $758. Fast forward 3 months without a dryer. I get a new motor and a handyman comes over and shows me that it is NOT broken. The pulley behind the motor just needed two drops of OIL. Now it's working better than ever. You will be sorry if you use these guys. They were scheduled to come out between 12 and 4pm on a Friday. At 3pm after wasting 3 hours of my time they email saying they'll be here between 7 and 8 pm. I cancelled the appointment. Next day I get an email the appointment is scheduled for the next Monday between 8 and 11 am even though I told them on chat to cancel not reschedule. A & E is the sub contractor for sears. They came out to do maintanence and ordered parts. You get a 4-hour window for the appointments I have had the last 3 service people who were no shows and then say I was not home which is a flat out lie. The last guys came out I and had no idea what they were supost to do and when I asked to speak to their boss they said no. Then they just left. I have over 18 hours waiting for A & E just to finish the job and have had to miss work for going on 4-days now. DO NOT Let A & E into your home. read more

The technician Steven was great and the ONLY good thing about this whole treadmill ordeal. Sears messed up my order, had parts listed on backorder when they were actually delivered, transferred me 6-8 times per call that I had to continually make in order to check status, and it delayed my treadmill being repaired for two additional months. That equaled 4 months without my treadmill due to Sears' incompetence in tracking the orders. You should be grateful to have good repair technicians because everything else about your service is terrible. Very deceptive pricing. I was told that the service fee for coming out wouldn't not be included in the final cost. They renamed the 150 fee to something else and then added labor to the final coast effectively putting the 150 right back. They just didn't call it a service fee. The repair man told me to just pay it then call to complain and they would take the 150 off.
