It's been a while since I've dined here. Decided to drop in for lunch and was surprised how good the food was. Service was excellent from Emily. She was friendly and very accommodating. I couldn't decide what I wanted to eat such as a burrito, burger, etc. So I ended up here by default. I ended having sushi, hot and sour soup, peel shrimp, mussels and teppanyaki! What diet!? Lol I did not have any dessert because I already adjusted my belt... Price, value, selection - am excellent option when in the area. I wouldn't hesitate to dine here again.

Overall, pretty good. We went there on a Friday for Dinner (6 pmish) and it was pretty empty. We were a bit nervous, but decided to try them anyway. We were happily surprised with how fresh and not overcooked most of the food was. The restaurant is beautiful and clean. We plan to come back, possibly on a Saturday or Sunday when it is busier. Pros: * Most of the food was good; small batches so it stayed fresh. * Nice service * Clean restaurant * Sushi section is amazing Cons: * Some of the food was way over cooked or had just sat too long. We tried a Taro bun and we couldn't even get the paper off it * Bland crab legs. There were cooked well, so if you are a crab & butter lover, it's good. Extra: * Plenty of parking * Plenty of seating * Bar area * The price seems right for the selection and variety that they off.

Delicious and great deal! 6/21/25 Very big and spacious inside and lots of food variety. Everything I tried tasted fresh. The ice cream was pretty good. The sorbets were on the lighter side. Service was good too. Great for big groups!

Still great! Came for lunch, love the sushi selection especially the jalapeno sushi and fried salmon skin. Large variety of food to choose from for around $19. One waitress is super nice and helpful. I like the movie choices they put on the TVs as well. Overall, we love coming here because it's spacious, bright, clean, and the people are always nice to us.

We came here for my mom's birthday. We are finding that there really does not seem to be any real good buffets in SD anymore. We used to frequent a different place on Miramar but I don't believe it's open anymore. We headed out around 4 pm on a Sunday. We got there; there was plenty of parking. We went inside and took a walk around to see what they had to offer. They seemed to have cold seafood, some sushi in the front area. Fruits/ jellos right next to the chocolate fountain. I think the idea of the fountain is fun for kids but it isn't exactly that tasty. Then there was a section for desserts and a freezer of Thrifty's ice cream. Most of it was sherbert or some gelati (Italian sorbet -like). They had chocolate, vanilla, coffee and strawberry ice cream. They had a make your own s'mores bar which is good for kids. Hot food section, fried egg rolls, chonuts (Chinese donuts)some chicken wings, French fries, etc. They had hot crab legs, HUGE oysters, crayfish, clams, steamed Rex sole, snails!! and even duck! and the typical Chinese dishes as well. They carried typical soups and a few 'dim sum' like items. They had a slab of brisket out. Next stop was the noodle station as well as Teppanyaki grill. We got some galbi fried up, I have to say that was pretty delicious. It was a tad salty but we grabbed the ones sitting in the marinade. We were disappointed in the crab here, it didn't have much flavor at all, it should have some salt from the ocean but none of that. As if the crab legs were rinsed until there was no flavor. They did have a 10% discount for seniors, and you can print out a $2 off coupon for dinner. That isn't much for a table of 5. I will say that the staff were definitely working nonstop and they did a good job of putting out new food and replacing the dishes. It was also very clean at this restaurant. My mom said she had never been to such a clean bathroom at a buffet place. My mom did note that everything was not overly salty like a lot of buffets. That was a huge plus since she has to watch her salt intake. Would I come again? I might consider it down the road, but I would hope that some things would change. Food was ok, some things were good, some things were not good. The staff was the best thing here. Service: 5/5 Ambiance 4/5 Food: 3/5

It's been a while since our last visit here, I believe it was 3 years ago and I remember back then this buffet is really good, but on our recent visit it seems like the food was not as good as before. They all look good and were presented well but it's just not that tasty anymore , but some are still good and still they have lots of Seafood selections . The place was not packed at all either, it was probably a weekday. We will try this buffet again over the weekend to see if the selections of food will be good and much better. But customer service was always good and plenty of space for parking .

Visited 01/24/2025 Friday Night Dinner. Everything was Fresh and And Seasoned Well and a Great Selection Also. Many Great Stations to choose from for Soups, Fried, Steamed, Baked, food and even a Meat Carving Station. Noodle Bar included with a selection of thins to add. Drinks are extra but refills are free. This is a good Choice when you want a Tasty Asian Seafood Buffet.

A steel scrubber found in their food.

Found a steel scrubber in my food. Told the waitress and they removed the dish tray, offered me a 10% discount. Good thing this is my second plate and I pay the check and don't want to eat anything there. Not recommended.

Ate here last night Good food good variety. Very clean and great service A little disappointed int he dessert options. We chose this buffet for that reason-website stating cotton candy, smores and chocolate fountain No sign of cotton candy, smores station was lacking - no flame (probably could have asked staff) but no graham crackers either. Chocolate fountain was there but verrrry little dipping options! Melon pineapple and oranges only.... None of which go great with chocolate like that... ive been other buffets with way more options. Ice cream gets points because thrifty is awesome, but there were zero toppings. And also slightly put off because it was self serve and some of the ice creams/sorbets looked a mess and melted.... I probably would try different buffets in the future but it wasnt bad.

Cookies and cream, and chocolate ice cream.

Great price for lunch! Less than $20. Staff was great as well. They have thrifty ice cream, a s'mores station, and a chocolate fountain. It's worth it just for the dessert.

12/27/2024 - I went here Friday around 11:15am. There was just two families here. The food is spread out which I like which forces you to walk around and not be stuck in a line. A great variety of food to choose from. I printed a $1 off per person coupon. The prices are a little higher than I was expecting and we did the lunch option. They have a hot soup and wok area as well. It was very clean in there and punctual removing dishes. I love the signs to not waste food. Negatives - salt and pepper shrimp were large but not flavorful and the garlic stump was below average. The crab fried rice which is usually a Thailand dish wasn't flavorful. Positives- the sushi was a good variety and rest, lots of veggies and cold/hot items to choose from. I loved the Chinese donuts, General TSO and the salt and pepper squid the best. I will give this 5 stars overall and will bring more people next time. Check out photos.

This was hands down one of the best buffets I've ever been too. From the quick service to the variety and freshness of the food, this place has it all! This place is very large and can easily accommodate large groups, there was plenty of TVs as well and a full bar! The variety of food was outstanding, there was sushi, seafood, meat, bao buns, and tons more! There was so much to choose from and everything I got I loved! The frog legs were the BEST I've ever had. They were so moist and crunchy and had excellent flavor. I also loved the fried rice, Mongolian beef, the hot and cold crab legs and the sushi! The sushi was outstanding for a buffet and there was tons of options! They even had sea snails, that was fun to try. The s'mores station was so unique and so cute, as well as the cotton candy and chocolate fountain. The banana pudding is also a must try. I can't wait to come back, I am blown away that I haven't checked this place out sooner! Highly recommend.

Good food !

But every once in a while, hubby has a special request & we make it happen. His San Diego wish? Thursday night all-you-can-eat lobster dinner at 100s Seafood Grill Buffet. And when I say seafood extravaganza, I mean it. Beyond the lobster, there were crab legs, oysters, sushi galore (maki, nigiri & sashimi), lots of Asian specialties plus plenty of American comfort-food favorites to satisfy just about everyone. Now, full disclosure: my feelings were a little mixed, but hubby? He was living his absolute best life. The lobster is served cut in half & broiled, which unfortunately made the meat sort of melt into the shell. Each half ended up being only a couple bites & you did have to wait in line to grab one when fresh trays came out (one half per person at a time). That said, credit where it is due: the kitchen brought out lobster trays pretty regularly, so the wait never felt unreasonable. Meanwhile, hubby proceeded to eat what I can only describe as his body weight in crab legs. His only critique was that he prefers them served hot rather than cold, although the hot butter on draft definitely helped make up for that. I also appreciated how many unique dishes were available beyond seafood, making the buffet feel more interesting than your standard steam-table experience. And for me, the dessert section was a standout, especially the gelato station, which I may or may not have visited more than once. At $56.99, my personal preference would probably be to spend that money at a really good sushi restaurant. But if your dream scenario involves unlimited lobster, crab legs, oysters & a seafood feast where you can try a little bit of everything, this place absolutely delivers. Final verdict? Maybe not my personal seafood fantasy but hubby was THRILLED & sometimes that's the most important review of all. NOM NOM NOM #YUM

You find a local joint with a happy hour and good food. 3. You don't expect excellence. I came here tonight with that in mind and got more than I hoped for. $1.50 oysters anywhere are great and these were a joy. While the menu suggested small or medium they were bigger, flavorful and fresh west coasts you'd pay triple for. Discounted California wines didn't hurt either. Then there was poorly described "herbed gnocchi in cheese sauce with bread crumbs". The author of the menu should be disciplined. This is the equivalent of describing the Sistine Chapel as "colored painting on wall, some nudes". This dish was so much more than that. Sliced Serrano peppers and greens topped off one of the best gnocchi dishes i may have ever had stateside or in Italy. Really. Rewrite that. Consider starting with the statement "this small dish may sexually arouse you". All for a happy hour in desperation of a good nights sleep, red-eyed rise and a longing to return. Then there's the service. Eduardo. Perfectly responsive, friendly as all get out and whatever his base salary is he deserves more. But maybe the place is dirty. Or boring. Or not worth looking at. Nope. From the nautical decor to the California topography inspired floor plan to the darn view of sail ships and helicopters. It's a sight to behold. But it's not all happy. Upon leaving I noticed the tribute wall. The genius who started this treasure DIED 2 years after opening it. Managed by his family. The waiter said they stopped stocking the radishes because they were loosing too much money on them. The kbbq alone was $40 ayce which is on the higher priced side. To me the meat quality was a little better but I don't know if it was that much better than other $30-35 kbbqs. They advertise a lot of the meats as Wagyu but they're not the best Wagyu quality. The sides you can order are pretty good. They have a variety of karaage that are crispy and delicious and they also have corn cheese that can be melted on the grill. The ice cream at the end is the cherry on top. Based on the price and food, I would give this place 3.5 stars. But the service was really good so I'm giving it an extra half star for that. Our server was super nice and personable. He made sure we were doing okay throughout the night. The other servers also came by to check on us and once near the end of the night we got a really fatty plate of brisket and he swapped it out for a less fatty cut which I've never experienced at a kbbq place. I don't know if I'll come back to this kbbq but it was a nice dinner with some friends and great service.
