We found this gem of a restaurant hiding in the Oceanfront Lodge. We were the sole diners on a weekday, and it was wonderfully quiet. Amazingly, the food was delicious. The fish and chips were excellent, and the home made chowder was very good too. A happy hour draft beer cost $6. We were thrilled with this birthday lunch. Service by Nay was stellar, and the ocean views were fabulous. Recommended! read more

We came here for our anniversary the last weekend in April, and it was such a perfect choice. Seaside Restaurant & Bar might be small, but it's cozy and intimate in the best way. The decor gave total beachy/ocean vibes, relaxed but still nice enough to feel like a treat. My husband ordered the ribeye with a lobster tail, roasted potatoes, and asparagus. I went for the ribeye too, but with mashed potatoes and asparagus. Honestly? Both were incredible. The steaks were cooked exactly the way we asked, no sending anything back, no weird surprises, just really well-executed and flavorful. Our waitress was amazing, super friendly and really attentive without being overbearing. She somehow made the whole evening feel even more special. This was a meal we'll definitely remember, and I'd 100% recommend it for a date night or celebration. We'd come back in a heartbeat. read more

Servers are excellent and the view is stunning. Unfortunately, our food was less than average. My clam chowder soup tasted like it came out of a can. The bang bang shrimp was good and the clam chowder was good but too salty. The Fettuccini alfredo didn't taste good it was really bland and not very warm out of the kitchen. The bread had no flavor and the bread pudding was gross! It looked like a lump of bread slime and tasted about the same. It went in the trash. What a big let down. read more

This was within walking distance of Airbnb so thought we'd give them a try. They are in a hotel/resort located with ocean views. View was great. Restaurant itself as to be expected being affiliated with hotel. Tables while clean were sticky to the point that napkins stuck to surface. Staff seemed to be in flux possibly because of back to school timing. Salmon was ok but nothing spectacular, veggies that came with salmon were well prepared and abundant. We ordered Dr Peppers and when she went to get to the drinks, they were out of it and she yelled across the restaurant that they were out of the dr pepper and asked what we wanted from there so we had to shout back. It was just uncomfortable. She was off her shift before we got our food and we only knew that because she said bye to her coworker and walked out, didn't ask if we needed anything before she left. First time being here after three years of working in the northernmost city of California surrounded by the gorgeous pacific west coast oceanfront with the majestic rock islands and probably one of the better views of any restaurants in the lonesome Crescent City area, we came for Friday evening dinner. The free parking lot was half full with easy access to the front door to the grand entrance shared with the lodge! Two ladies working for the hotel lodge were nestled behind the plexiglass were friendly enough and the pool table at the grand entrance was somewhat nice, with a winding stairs to upstairs on the right side of the foyer entrance was rather scenic. The restaurant had a big glass windows overlooking at the most breathtaking westerly sunset over the pacific coast! Beer was very limited to the local Port O' Pint's draft beer in a cold mug for $7. The Margaritas are $8 each but very generous. However the Tequila was not very strong so the friendly waitress gave us extra shot of Tequila for much better tasting Margarita. The fish and chips were generous with plenty of fries as well as three huge deep fried golden cod. The coleslaw was unimpressive however. Their $38 ribeye steak had been marinated in some sweet tasting wine reduction sauce with bacon and mushrooms stuffed in the middle for their specialty steak offering with baked potato versus fries and soup or salad with sautéed vegetables. I was hungry so it was ok. Their clam chowder was delicious but little salty probably due to batch in hotpot keep getting saltier by evaporation. Food was marginally better than cafeteria, but at steakhouse prices. We seen the menu and prices prior to visiting, and were expecting something a little better. Tables were sticky, other patrons also noticed it, and there was trash on the floor from their breakfast service (we were there for dinner). Service was sub par, it took 15 min for us to get a bottle of wine and 2 glasses and there were only 3 couples in the restaurant including us. We had to open our own bottle of wine, but good news it was a twist off cap ($30). The only thing that they had going for them was the view is excellent. Recommend going elsewhere. read more

If you love clam chowder theirs has big chunks of potatoes, carrots and celery. The bread bowl is not sourdough, but was still tasty (more like a biscuit consistency). I enjoyed it, but I also have to note it has a strong bacon flavor (I'm not a fan of), but still pretty good overall. They served locally brewed craft beer too and the staff was very friendly and attentive. Best part was after our meal we went outside to walk our pup (pets are welcome!) and they had benches outside overlooking Pebble Beach AND a full service window where we ordered a couple of beers through and enjoyed while watching the ocean and sunset. We stayed at the hotel and the view was remarkable but the service was so slow. My husband ordered the cod sandwich and it did not look appetizing, it had like 2 fish sticks in a bun. The steak sandwich was fatty and on a HUGE piece of garlic bread, I just ate the inside of it. The kids pasta and chicken bacon pasta looked decent. Overall the view is amazing but service was way too slow. There was only 1 other table of customers besides ours in there by the way. read more

Three of us walked in my husband and his friend and I and mentioned it was our first time there and that we needed seating for 3 she told us to seat ourselves We had to grab the menu from other tables We ordered and she didn't repeat our order or confirm it We ordered 3 pink lemonades 1 appetizer jalapeño popper 1 appetizer calamari strips 1 Appetizer coconut shrimp 3 clam chowder cups for our first course We asked to have our appetizer and soup first We ordered 1 bacon cheeseburger w fries and onion rings 1 fish taco plate 1 fish sandwich plate w fries Our food arrived all at once except for my fish sandwich plate When I asked the server about it she just said sorry and I asked to cancel it since it took too long and I wanted to eat with my table They served other people at other tables their food before they gave me my fish sandwich and I was there for over an hour so I chose to cancel it Then my husband has one bite of his burger and said it tasted burnt and I tried it and I confirmed that it was tasting very burnt and ashy We asked the waitress many times for drink refills by walking to the bar and she kept forgetting and saying she was swamped but there was only 3 tables total in the entire restaurant with people it was a fairly empty slow day while we were there Unfortunately I never saw the second server until we were leaving When we returned the burger and asked for a burger replacement that didn't have a burnt bun or patty her response was That we have to pay for the burger or else she has to call the cops This was where we got very upset and disrespected We were now being obligated to accept a burnt burger without her offering to give us a replacement I tried to speak to the manager and the chef even tried calling them, but they were not available I had to speak to the front desk hotel concierge woman to explain that all we wanted was a burger switch out We were made to feel threatened as if we are trying to get out of paying We never said we didn't wanna pay for the burger we simply complained that we felt we deserved a burger that was not burnt In the end the chef finally agreed to give us a new burger but at this point so late in the dining experience we just wanted to leave So we paid for a burger we never ate and never got replacement and just felt treated very unfairly It's one thing for the waitress to say sorry and another to make excuses and make the client feel wrong for asking for refills and a patty that is not black burnt We had trouble getting our lemonade refills the entire visit The chef wasn't always in the kitchen they were under staffed but even if there was one waitress and one chef on the job she should have never mentioned calling the police when we asked or another fresh partly that wasn't a kitchens mistake. She got mad that we took one bite but how else would we have realized it was burnt before having to open the patty and examine it Her main concern was arguing about ultimatums regarding the burger And she was mad that my husband opened the burger and left his calamari crust on the fries I have attached a photo of the burnt patty Which the chef understand and acknowledged he could make another However the server was being very difficult The second server must have just arrived to work the same time that the chef did I attached a photo of the other server who was not even present during the entire experience and all she did was stand there and roll her eyes at me while I was speaking with this woman who was the only server who didn't have a name tag on but she was blonde with dark roots and had purple eye shadow this day and a lot of foundation on. I just don't understand why everyone else was taken care of except for us I walked to the bar to ask for a pink lemonade refill and another guest thought I worked at the restaurant which was funny but also pretty sad. She served my husband a burnt burger and our friend his fish tacos and all our clam chowder and appetizer but me I never even got my fish sandwich and chips it took 30 minutes or more before she apologized or updated me about this You can't expect to eat good food here they may give you something you won't eat and not offer to switch it out They should have done more to remedy the situation It caused my husband and our party to be super upset My husband never wants to dine at a restaurant ever again And we were considering moving to crescent city now we definitely won't even bother Pretty sure the chef and other waitress were gone getting High or banging It's a hotel after all read more

However, the Chicken Carbonara took the prize. Not a pasta dish. it was a digesting scramble of egg, bacon, onion and mushrooms, no cream sauce or noodles. Who does that? Finally after they took others orders that had come in 30 minutes after us they joking asked if we were ready to order. Food came out fast but when only gave us half of the things they were supposed to and NEVER came back to give them to us or even give my husband a spoon for his calm chowder?!?! How to you forget to bring out a spoon for soup? Finally ended up going to the bar to pay for our half plates of food for a full price. Child menu of macaroni cheese bites for $14 was basically a kraft macaroni product of small portion. Shortly after, my son ran into the bathroom and threw up.
