My husband and I were walking around the shopping area of Cannon Beach and we were starting to get hungry. We didn't want anything overly pricey or heavy. I knew there were several sandwich shops around and we thought Seasons had a good menu. The place is seat yourself if you are eating in. I got the turkey and provolone panini and my husband the hot ham and cheese. We both got tomato basil soup with our sandwiches. All the food was delicious. The bread was nice and soft but still slightly crunchy from the panini press. The soup was also very good. Next time I'll probably go for just half the sandwich and soup or another one of their sides. Also the wait staff is very friendly and laid back. After wandering the street of Cannon Beach with my pregnant friend, following our tummies and our noses, we were at the end of the main drag and hoping for a hit. And we got it! Seasons was exactly what we wanted for lunch. I LOVE IT when cafes offer half sandwhich soup/salad combos. My friend got this incredible open face tomato salami mozzerella sandwich with a cup of clam chowder thick with potatoes. Mine was a Reuben and an organic greens salad with yummy dressing. The Reuben was on this lovely marbled rye bread. We sat outside in the sun, and I had a latte to take away the edge of an Oregon sunny day. One thing I love about this place is that it is set back off the street and doesn't have the same generic touristy vibe. Refreshing and perfect. We would have liked to have tried Seasons during our recent weekend in Cannon Beach. However, they were never open during their posted hours (both posted online and on their front door). We arrived for brunch at 11:10am on Saturday, but were greeted with a locked door, even though the sign right in front of our faces said they were open until noon. It was a windy but clear day when we drove up from Cape Lookout to Cannon Beach. We timed it so we could do some tidepooling at Haystack Rock. Walking around in the cold water and combating the wind wore us out and built an appetite. We wandered around Cannon Beach looking for the right place to eat. I don't remember what exactly attracted us to the sign leading us down a rabbit's warren of small shops to Season's Cafe and Deli. Maybe it just said open? Walked in to a clean deli. The owner had her daughter at work, she was playing with the chip bags and a broom (the daughter, not the owner). R had the clam chowder, really good. I think it had some... rosemary, maybe? I went with the fresh mozzarella, tomato, basil sandwich. I was expecting just a panini with some cheese, a couple tomato slices, and a few bits of shredded basil. What I got was something deserving to be served on fancy plates with more sliverware than I have hands. Served on thick French bread. Big slices of mozzarella. Good looking tomato slices. Gigantic basil leaves with a balsamic reduction drizzled all over it. All that came in a plain plastic basket! The chef came out to take our plates and see what we thought. We had the Rueben sandwich (on gluten free bread) with a side cup of the soup de jour - vegan roasted carrot curry - sooo good and the Vegetarian wrap also with a side of the vegan roasted carrot curry - excellent. We shared the Fort George stout from Astoria - also fantastic. This place takes great care in preparing the food so it will take a few extra minutes but WELL WORTH IT! Wayyyy overpriced for the quality of the food and service. I ordered the Albacore Tuna and Dill Havarti sandwich and the sandwich ended up not even having dill Havarti on it, they just slapped regular on it. The kid's meals were a joke. $5 for crappy Kraft (I'm serious.....it really was Kraft) macaroni and cheese and maybe 1/2 cup if that. No side of fruit, no drink! The service was mediocre at best and the dude waiting tables was quite rude. Our order took forever to get and then they forgot one of our sandwiches. Overall.....we should have grabbed pizza or crepes down the street because this lunch was not worth it. read more

Just finished eating lunch here and it was amazing. We ordered the antipasto sandwich with the pasta salad and the rockfish tacos. Both were made with very fresh ingredients and were worth the price. We went over the weekend and were super disappointed with the service. We got there right at opening so they really hadn't started to get busy yet. It took 40 minutes to get our food and when it did come it was disappointing. The server brought us our kids hot dogs wrapped in pita bread because they had ran out of hot dog buns. He didn't give us any other option we would of ordered something else for them if we knew about the pita bread. Our kids wouldn't eat them and the server was aware and just shrugged his shoulders. All he had to do was ask us if we wanted something else or provide a solution. We left our kids in tears it was just odd how rude he was. read more

It was a chilly day in Cannon Beach. After much beaching and shopping, I desperately needed caffeine. After walking by several shops that were already closed (at 4:30?!) and one that was cash-only (didn't have any on me), I stumbled upon Seasons Cafe and asked for a latte. They said they were getting ready to close for a private group, and to to come back tomorrow for lunch. When I asked where I could find a cup of coffee, the awesome staff took pity on me and served up my caffeine fix. I was thrilled. I ordered the tomato, basil & mozzarella w/ pasta salad, sister gets the chicken curry pita and her son has the cheese quesadilla. It took about 30 minutes for our food to arrive, which is shocking because the small quesadilla maybe gets toasted for 5 minutes and my open-face TBM sandwich got broiled, and my sister's pita is a cold sandwich! Holy moly the food was good! What a neat spot to visit! It is seat yourself so when you walk in find yourself a table. The bar is SUPER high and they didn't have booster seats sooo I had to move to an open table. I had the antipasto panini which I highly reccomend, it was well sauced up and super flavourful. What a great day in Cannon Beach, 75' blue skies and no wind! We were looking for a lunch spot and happened down a small twisting alleyway ending up in front of Seasons. Not really knowing what we wanted we started to look some more when a dinner said, "you're making a mistake by leaving" ok we'll bite and it turned out to be the best bite of the day. I had the Albacore tuna & dill havarti with tomato, onion and a caper tarter sauce on sourdough bread, wow. Bowtie herb pasta salad came with it and it was very good. Another in our group had the Home-style 9 grain bread with lettuce, tomato, turkey and cranberry cream cheese, very nice. A creamy potato salad on the side was house made and just super. The last groupster had a Chicken Caesar wrap, nicely done but the Lobster wrap sounded better. I had a cup of the Clam chowder and it had to have been one of the best Clam Chowdas I've ever had, that good! The chef/owner Doug came around and I gave him the 50-question test and yes almost everything is house made and it shows. Next time I'm having the Californian, roasted turkey, lettuce, tomato, onion, radish sprouts, avocado, cream cheese spread on cinnamon swirl bread (house baked)...........Try it you'll like it. read more

I had a very satisfying meal at the Cafe on a dreary November Sunday afternoon. The staff was very friendly, if not a little frazzled (I overheard one tell another table that they were busy with a catering job). I had the spicy shrimp salad, which had excellent flavors. The only problem was that it had a little too much salt....nonetheless I killed the whole plate. The Mexican Latte I got kept me warm the whole drive back to Portland. Yum! I recommend this place for tourists. It is probably a good idea to try some of the more unconventional items on the menu just to see what the chef can do. (There was a spicy shrimp bento box, which sounded like another interesting option for the shrimp lovers) read more

My sister and I tried to go to Seasons Thursday evening, but were disappointed to find they close early (4 pm). We came back the next day to get some sandwiches to go since it was such a nice day (in November!). My sister got the turkey provolone with pesto on the fresh buttermilk bread which she gave good reviews. I had the ham and cheese (with swiss and cheddar) also on the fresh buttermilk bread. Mine was ok. Nothing special. Needed something on the sandwich to make it stand out. A good mustard? I guess I should have asked...Instead, on one of my sandwich halves I spooned some of the tasty potato salad which gave it more flavor. Overall, we were satisfied. The staff was friendly and fairly fast. We both commented the sandwiches are pricey for what you get but I guess that's what happens in touristy towns. I did see a woman eating an open faced sandwich on a baguette with broiled tomato and fresh mozzarella and drizzled with some kind of balsamic vinaigrette/olive oil combo. We were in Cannon Beach as part of a guided tour. We stopped for lunch, and tour guide recommended a bunch of places on the main drag as we drove past, but they were all crowded. So, my husband and I decided to take a walk and see what we find. We are so glad we stumbled upon this cafe. Tucked away in the middle of an upscale pedestrian shopping area, we were seated and each ordered a half sandwich with clam chowder. The sandwiches are huge and the clam chowder was to die for. Best we have ever tasted and we try clam chowder wherever it is available. The food overall was incredibly fresh, fresher than any of the food in any of the Portland restaurants we had already tried as we were staying there for a week. Our server was attentive. Salsa was very good with the chips but mac and cheese was kraft and potatoe salad had a strong mustard taste. If you like mustard you would like the potatoe salad. The food was really good. We had paninis. My only complaint is they charge $4 to substitute a tossed salad for the potato or pasta salad choices that normally come with the meal, and they charge $2 to split a meal. They also charge extra for takeout, which we didn't do. All in all I thought the extra charges unreasonable-- especially for the substitution. But the food was really good! read more
