This is a bit of an unusual situation for Yelp, one category for a wide variety of individual characters, each worthy of reviews. Within the homey walls of a repurposed lawyers house work 13 individuals, collectively known as Seasons Spa and Salon. Tucked off the main roads, but in Trader Joe's backyard, Seasons Spa will aim to please, your experience may vary (read some of the other reviews). This review is only about Karmen and her ability to cut and shave hair. Karmen was great, in her mini cave? I dunno what to call each of the rooms in this house, some are small, others are larger, but all are a representation of the person who works in them. In her room, Karmen was in her element, she has a keen eye and a soft manner and made getting a haircut easy. Excellent results. As for the rest of Seasons Spa Staff? I can only vouch for Karmen, but I have wondered around the "house" a bit. This is specifically for my negative experience earlier this evening. I bought a livingsocial voucher for 3 sessions. I called Amber nearly 2 weeks ago to schedule for an appointment today 04/19/2018 @ 7 PM. I wanted to make sure I time my spray tan session in time for my trip this weekend. I noticed that their business hours are until 9 PM, I asked for an appointment at 8 PM in hopes of avoiding traffic going to Portland to Vancouver. Sometimes there's still traffic into 7 PM going that direction! Got off work at 6 PM and drove straight up to Vancouver. Arrived a little early but checked in at 6:50 PM after waiting in the car for a little, didn't want to come in too early and have the staff feel like they're being rushed or anything. There was a lady named Carmen (I believe) who was currently working with a client coloring her hair. She greeted me and then said that Amber will be with me shortly. I sat until 7:05 PM when Carmen said she would send Amber a text. By 7:15 PM I thanked Carmen for trying to help but it's 15 minutes after my scheduled appointment and Amber was nowhere to be found and Carmen had received no response from her either. Not only is this extremely unprofessional, wasting my time driving 30 minutes into Vancouver and gas money only to end up wasting a trip there. I'm flying out tomorrow night and work until 6 PM with absolutely no time to squeeze in another spray tan session before my trip. I don't even care about redeeming the voucher at this point because I am definitely not coming back and dealing with such unprofessionalism. read more

This review is specifically about Trish and her terrible lashes. Usually I read many reviews before making a decision to purchase a product or service, but I was in a rush to get an appointment before going away to a wedding, and I truly wish I hadn't made my decision before doing my research. Honestly, I'm not super experienced getting lash extensions, but the service described on the page for her groupon/living social deal indicates individual lash application. They were not, they were bundles of three lashes, which to be fair, is accurate based on the "3D flare" description. I texted to see if I could make an appointment within my timeline before purchasing the groupon, and she told me not purchase it because she would give me the groupon price. As it turns out, that is her regular price, and you are not actually getting any kind of discount. Actually, you are way over-paying. Trish was very nice on the day of the appointment, but it took her less than 30 minutes to apply the lashes, some of them stuck to my bottom lashes and needed to be fixed, and the glue made my eyes burn. Nevertheless, they looked pretty good and I was glad to have had them done before heading out of state for the wedding. I had my lashes done on a Wednesdaym; on SUNDAY multiple lashes detached from my eyelid. Not the natural lash they were applied to, just the lid, and they sad awkwardly above my lashes. I, of course, didn't want to just rip out my natural lashes, so I had to wait several days for it to sort itself out. In the mean time, I was till away socializing with people, feeling very self conscious. I returned from my trip late on Monday, and reached out to Trish on Tuesday. I sent her a picture of my lashes, indicated that they fell apart FOUR DAYS after the application, and asked to schedule to have them fixed. It's been three days and I haven't heard on word from her. I am incredibly disappointed in her customer service and lack of accountability. To be clear, I waited 26 hours before I showered. I washed my eyes with soap and water, and dried them, prior to application. I used only oil free eye make-up remover. I never rubbed the lashes. I even took care to sop up tears (I was at a wedding...) directly from my eye to minimize the moisture that came in contact with the lashes. Trish was kind. unfortunately, I was drastically ripped off on the lashes. I have had mine done before and I noticed that these were significantly heavier and took about half the time as the others. I called my sister who has been getting her eyelashes done for the last two years and she told me that the lashes used here are essentially drug store. They hurt my eyes, give me a headache, and look very cheap. I am very disappointed and will not be returning. I really wish I would have looked at these reviews before buying this from Groupon. I don't want anyone to ruin their first lash experience because fake lashes, when done right, can be very fun and easy to wear! read more

I am currently writing this review with ice on my eye lids. I was looking into getting eyelash extensions and found a great deal on groupon a full set of lash extensions at seasons spa for 60 bucks!! So I bought the groupon, I drove an hour away to get to the spa. Once we got there I noticed a very home welcoming vibe to the spa, not the most professional environment but I thought hey this kinda cute. Well here's when everything started going wrong. When we got to her little station I saw her lashes she would use on me and it's the kind you buy from the drug store, the Individual lashes and she used this random ass glue I don't even know if it was safe for me eye but every time she used it on me and my friend it started burning and made our eyes cry. I'm not going to lie, right after she finished it did looked beautiful but it was just right after you got them done. Her station was very unprofessional and not sanitized and she used the same tweezers on all her clients and also did not used gloves. The next day both me and my friend had a few lashes already fall off, when she said they would last for a bullshit 3 weeks lol... They were crappy plastic lashes you could Probably get at the dollar tree and it was a total rip off even for 60 dollars I rather paid 200 Dollars to get them professionally done. I texted her the next day saying my lashes fell off and she didn't reply to my text! I couldn't believe this shit, do not go get your lash extensions done at seasons spa with Trish it sucks so bad and save yourself the pain and money. I get eyelash extensions at Seasons Spa from Trish. I have been going for four months now for refills and they always look amazing. I don't ever want to go back to mascara, so I'm sure I will be a loyal customer for quite a while. Trish has the best prices I have found, but she has tons of experience doing lash extensions and has been wearing them herself for two years. After reading the reviews, I wanted to give this spa a try going in with an open mind even with the negative reviews. Trisha was very nice; however I am disappointed with my lashes. One fell off the very next day, and the lashes itself were synthetic and not individually put on. They looked like a strip of lashes you could get from the drug store. They also hurt when I closed my eyes. They did not feel natural at all. I won't be going back and unfortunately, this was my first experience with lashes and I'm hesitant to even get them anymore. I went to Trish a few weeks ago for eyelash "extensions" , little did I know she would use cluster lashes and ruin my eyelashes with the extreme amount of glue she used to apply them. My natural eyelashes were thick and fairly long before meeting Trish, now I have no eyelashes because they have fallen out! Trish was unprofessional (she belched in my face several times while applying the lashes), the products she uses are not quality ( I wouldn't be surprised if the glue she used was super glue). The lash extensions are terrible. The literally glue a thick group of lashes onto your lashes. They are too heavy and they use way too much glue. My lashes either fell out or were completely stuck. I paid $200 to have them removed in California as I was there for business 3 days after getting them and they looked so terrible I had to remove them. The woman removing them spent two hours and adhesive remover and I still lost the majority of my lashes due to the glue that was caked in my lashes. They are not individually placed on each lash. TERRIBLE. Not worth the price or the damage it does to your real lashes. Buyer beware. read more

DO NOT GET LASHES FROM TRISH. So I found a Groupon, 50$ for lashes? Hell yeah! Well, that turned out to actually be way too expensive for what I got. First off, she thought I was late. I was not, as the text we had exchanged a few weeks ago said so. Ok so she still took me, whatever. Then, during the procedure my eyes are VERY irritated (I've gotten eyelash extensions before, this did not happen). Ok, still whatever. Maybe my eyes were just sensitive to her type of glue. Then after 25 minutes, (way too fast for eyelash extensions if ya ask me, there's a difference between being good enough to go that fast vs. just being plain old sloppy) it looked like I had on strip eyelashes and they even looked slightly asymmetrical. Upon further examination in a mirror later, it became very clear to me that these had to be drug store bundle eyelashes. Ok still, I could rock some strip lashes for awhile I guess and see if I could move the left eye around a little bit to make them look even (lol I'm NOT the type to go back and complain even when I'm upset, I just find it awkward lol, let alone leave a review, but honestly this is the worst customer service experience I think I've ever had). But after 3 days, one eye got really ratty looking and just did not look good at all, so I wanted them removed. I first tried with oil, didn't work (granted it had only been 3-4 days I'd had them on so I didn't expect much from the oil), then I went out and got eyelash glue remover from Sally's. Let it soak and it still didn't work (what kind of glue did she use?! Almost positive it was super glue). After irritating my eyes I decided to just go to bed and let oil soak on my lashes, woke up with no difference. I texted her and asked what glue she used, she dodged the question and just said there was no solvent I could purchase to remove them and the ONLY WAY was to go in and see her or just trim them and wait for them to fall off naturally with the help of a little oil (I could not wait even another day, let alone a week or two they were so ugly) After my last desperate attempt to remove them by putting a little nail polish remover on the corner of my lashes to see if it was in fact nail or super glue, and it didn't remove them, I decided I better fit in some time to go back to get them removed even though I did not trust her at all at this point. But I felt I had no choice. Texted her a few times and around 10 am I called and she hung up the phone after a few rings. Apparently her hours are "3-9" when you have a problem but when I texted her to make the appointment originally between 12-1 she was readily available to talk. So, do not ever get eyelash extensions from Trish, you will highly regret it. PS I finally got them removed by myself with the eyelash glue remover serum and some tweezers, it took a lot of time and pulling and tugging but hey I still have most of my real eyelashes thank god! I just wanted a highlight on the darker roots that grew out. The stylist went 3 inches past the demarcation line and a lot of the roots were not even colored. I now have 3 stages of color in my hair and the integrity of my hair is compromised. This is the worst highlight i have ever had. It cost me $75.00. SLOPPY. I got lash extensions here, using a Groupon deal. I have had extensions before at another salon and they lasted a long time. The lashes I got here were the cluster type, which would have been fine, but a large section fell off less than 8 hours after application, even though I followed the care instructions. When I contacted Trish the next day to get the lashes fixed, she couldn't fit me in for 5 days, even though this was due to her sloppy work. But by the 5th day, almost all the other lashes had fallen off and I was totally discouraged. I wasn't about to go back and get more crappy lashes reapplied. She used so much glue that the clusters were stuck together mid-way down the lash. On the other hand, there was barely any glue adhering the base of the lashes to the eyelid, so the lashes were falling off daily. First off, all appointments for lash extensions are done via text, which is fine as long as the business responds. I had lash extensions done for the first time in July and they worked out great so I went back in early October. This time, however, I started losing some bundles after 9 days (they are supposed to last a minimum of 2 weeks); Trish was accommodating and replaced them at no charge. BUT I lost a clump (3-4 bundles) on the 11th day. I sent several texts asking for them to be replaced but Trish ignored me and never contacted me. Poor customer service to ignore clients and not stand by your workmanship. Very disappointed and will find another salon to do my lashes. read more

If I could, I would not give her a single star. Horrible horrible service, Lashes were cluster lashes, it should not be put on with permanent lash glue. My natural eyelashes are gone!! I am not sure what kind of glue was she using, but she put a lot of it. I had to waist double the time, to had them to be taken off. Environment is not the cleanest one. Would never ever recommend Trish as a professional. Crappy job. Oh and I didn't purchased groupon like the other people. I paid her directly. Yeah all the bad reviews are pretty accurate. I went there and she used cluster lashes you can get from the drug store. They had blunt ends so they looked very fake. I also specifically asked for my lashes to look natural and not too long and she put so many on that it was heavy on my eyelids. I asked her to please remove them and was told she couldn't do it for 5 days and suggested I just leave them on despite not liking them. I also woke up the next morning and 3 of the clusters had fallen off. When I told her that she completely ignored it as if I hadn't even said anything. Most of them came right off after 5 days and the remaining ones had so much glue piled on that one cluster is glued to like 7 lashes. For anyone who doesn't know what extensions should look or feel like it's not this. Lashes should be applied individually to individual lashes. The lashes should be just like real lashes getting more narrow at the tip not blunt like the ones she uses. Save your money and go to someone who really knows what they are doing. I would never go back and definitely wouldn't recommend the lash extensions there total waste of money and ruined my lashes. Now i have to spend more money to have someone who is actually legit fix the mess made by this place. read more

I had extensions put on by Amber and never again. The middle of my lashes on the left side fell out after the next full day. I contacted her asking for help ....explaining I live on the coast and will not be able to return to Vancouver until after the holidays and please help me know what I can do from here as I will look ridiculous at work and Christmas was that weekend....her solution was if I dropped by in 15 minutes she could refill. Well, that wasn't helpful since I live 2 hours away (and had just explained all that). Her helpful solution was a one word text.... Walmart. What was I supposed to do at Walmart? Buy a remover? Buy an adhesive? Do you really want your spa and salon customers to know they can get the same service you offer at Walmart?? I would have to drive 1.5 hours to the nearest Walmart so that wasn't a viable solution anyway....especially since I didn't know what I was supposed to look for once I drove to Walmart. Since Amber wasn't any help.... in desperation I put a hot washcloth over my eyes just until it cooled off, re-applied, and after a few times all the extensions were off on the left side. The right side nothing budged. Did she buy the adhesive she used on the left side from Walmart? Use Elmers Glue? What? So, I googled and found how to remove the extensions left on the right side with oil and steam. I am sure anyone who works in her industry also knows removal solutions and shame on her for not offering any I could actually use...a one word response `Google' would have been more helpful than `Walmart'. Seriously ladies, do not go to someone who is not highly recommended to you by someone you know and you have actually seen their work... because the wrong person can damage your eye lashes and you could end up with no eyelashes.... and `Walmart Amber' could be that person. I was careful (and desperate) and got it done; but, just imagine only having extensions on one eye....not a good look anytime; but, especially not at work, church, and at your friends and family for the holidays. I am in Vancouver monthly and was really looking forward to using this salon's other services as well; but, I will keep looking. This is only the 2nd time I have ever taken the time to write a bad review to anyone...and they were both well deserved. read more
