My pedicure was a nightmare. Cut my toe open with the drill from the very start. Then when using the drill on the rest of my toes, to get the polish off, she went too deep on both big toes. It burned and when I looked down, there was a deep gash in them, to the skin. I kept mentioning that my toe hurt and she still poured the alcohol over it. Burned so badly. The color I picked out is not what she grabbed. I just gave up and let her keep going. F It The dryer kept sliding off and sitting on my toes, so it would mess up the polish. When I got to the counter to pay they jacked up my 4 year olds manicure by 10 dollars ($20) in total because "she used different colors." My pedicure said $40, but when I got to the counter they said $50. Manicure was quoted as said on board . They did this to the guy before me too, he was told $35 and then when he went to pay they tried to get him for $45. Once a year my little girl and I go to get our nails done and it's supposed to be special, I feel robbed at this point. If you are going to pay those prices go to a nice place that doesn't engage in price gouging and deceptive business practices. read more

I've gone to this salon twice but will not return. My first experience I'd rate a 3 star. I did a gel mani/pedi and my nails came out fine, until 4 days later and the gel on both my hands/feet already chipped. Also while I was there one of the ladies had her children run in and they were being loud which caused the woman to stop mid pedicure to get her kids under control. Some guy came in with the kids and you'd think, hey you see the mom is with a client, handle the kids but he just sat down while the customer (me) had to be inconvenienced. My 2nd time here, I figured the kid situation was a fluck and wouldn't happen again. My husband and I both came in for pedis. I had gel on my toes which takes a few extra minutes to soak off. Although we started at the same time, I finished way before my husband. My pedi was RUSHED, no massage, which I selected the spa treatment that said it came with a massage, and this time my polish lasted 2 days. I've been getting my nails professionally done for over 20 years and gel always lasts me at least 10days if not longer. Then it happened again. Her kids came running in and were loud. As a mom, I understand kids will be kids, but a better system for having your kids come in, especially when the same male(not sure if husband/father) is the one taking them into the salon. You see the mom is with a client, this is extremely unprofessional. Coming to get your nails done is a time for peace and tranquillity not to feel rushed and overwhelmed by kids running and screaming. Find another place to get your nails done. read more

This was my second time at this location, I've gone before and got a pedicure was pretty happy with it. Today I decided I would give it another shot since all I was going to have done is have my nails taken off. I went in and I asked her if she had time to do the removal she said if I could wait a few minutes which was no problem since she was currently doing two pedicures. After waiting about 10 minutes she looked at me and said oh I don't have my machine here I took it home I can't do it for you. I'm a little annoyed that she wasted 10 minutes of my time strictly for the fact that she's trying to run a business but doesn't have all the proper tools to run that business. I paid about $25 for to get my acrylic nails done they stayed on pretty well better than other places I've gone to so that's a plus ,BUT they filed my nails down way too much it hurt when I pressed down on my finger nail so that sucked . I found out it was and came for a color change. As it was drying in machine I told her it was burning me. I came in and asked for a mani / pedi. I was told to come back in 20 minutes and I did. Then they had me sit in a chair for the pedi for a half hour with my feet in the water. If they needed an hour to get to me they should have told me to come back in an hour. I had another commitment and because I waited for an hour to even start the pedi I no longer had time for the mani and the person kept pressuring me to get the mani done even tho I kept saying I didn't have time anymore. I'm giving 5* because I learned one of the best lessons of my life here. So, it's my daughter's graduation today. I ran into town for breakfast and a haircut. After the latter, I began to make my way home on I-205 when I feel and hear this bad sound from the back of the car. My tire sensor light comes on ... ugh. Luckily I was right next to the Mill Plain exit where I knew I was close to a Les Schwab. I dropped the car off and asked them to hurry because I had a very important graduation to attend. They said I had time for an errand. I decided to run over to Fred Meyer. I see the sign for Polish Nails. Now, it's important to know that I've had a 20+ yr running gag with my wife that I would go with her for a pedicure and then I always make an excuse to not go. My wife would say what a wussy I was for not going. Truth is; I don't like my feet touched. I was never going to go and she knew it so she could razz me relentlessly about being something Donald Trump would reach out and grab 'em by. Anyhoo, I see this white jacketed woman outside the shop and I think to myself "wouldn't it be a hoot if I actually did it? ". My whole family would get a laugh and be shocked with a few texted action pics. Really provide some levity to a stressful graduation week. With my heart racing and butterflies in my stomach I walked in and asked if I could get a pedi. There is clearly a language barrier for us but I understood I was to sit in this specific chair. Sailed through the first part. A nice warm soak in a foot sized hot tub. Then some scrubbing with a soft brush was not so bad. I thought "geez, I should have done this year's ago!". Then comes the "digger". Okay, I'm gonna get gross here but the thing they go toe jam mining with. She began to systematically release the nail from the nail bed. O M G! I was flinching and begging for gentleness. I got a nod, smile and "ah, yes". The torture ensued. Another tech - the boss I think - spotted the sweat on my lip and told her something in what I think was Vietnamese and told me "you sensitive". Agreed, but nail removal is generally universally uncomfortable. There was no blood because it was cauterized by hot wax that seeped in to the open wounds. What in the lemony scented f*CK did I get myself into?? As I finish this review a couple days later I can feel my heart beat in every damn toe. So, the lesson here is; if you've been living without something your whole life there is no need to try it. Lesson #2; I need to learn Vietnamese. read more

I had about a 30 minute wait, which wasn't too bad, everyone was working and as soon as there was an empty spot - they got me started. I got the Deluxe Pedicure and the quality and prices were very good. I requested a higher package, but for some reason they gave me the lower package and I only paid for the lower package - so I didn't pay for something I didn't get. I wished the massage portion had been better and I revived what I requested, but on the plus side the prices were good. read more

Fred myer nail salone on mill plain worst ever they did a French tip on me and it kept chipping off the paint did so I had to go back she was very rude to me then I had to come back again and another girl did it which is last a lot longer but the other the first girl that did it told me you no come back here I and even given them a tip I feel it was kind of being racist but because her products were no good and she gave she used a used Emery board on me which I was very upset about I didn't say anything but I will never go back there again I hope nobody else goes there either watch out for the equipment they give dirty Emery Boards out she picked up one that was just sitting there you could tell her to been used read more

I was a walk-in and got in after about 15 minutes. When my chair was ready I took my seat and put my feet in the water. The nail technician came over with her phone in hand on a FaceTime chat with her husband and mother who were in California. It was very loud and she was talking and looking at her phone while working on my feet. She also at one point asked me if I "had baby" and pointed at my tummy...I am not pregnant thank you. After she was done with my nails she set up her iPad to continue her FaceTime chat over at a manicure station and proceeded to eat Burgerville in front of myself and another customer. She came over only after I had already checked my nails to see if they were dry and walked me to the register where she just held out her hand for the cash. This was a terribly annoying and NOT relaxing experience and she did not do a great job on my nails either. I will not be going back. read more

I just went into a nail salon to get my nails filled. I had a seat and was waiting for the tech to come assist me. In the back the lady that was going to do my nails was eating. She came out to do my nails, wiped her nose and then sat down. I asked her "aren't you going to wash your hands?" She says "no I don't touch my mouth when I eat." I said "you just ate lunch, wiped your nose that is running as well!!" So she walks to the sink a couple feet away, runs the water on two fingers and wipes with the towel and comes back! I said "no I mean wash your hands with soap and water!!" She says "no I don't touch my food or nose." So I grab my things I said "I'll just go somewhere else!!" So she grabs both my hands as I am trying to pick up my drink and keys with both MY hands and pulls me to her and says "don't go!" I pulled away from her so hard that it moved her chair and station into the wall as she held onto my BOTH of my hands really hard and scratched the hell out of me! We were told that we could not have a receipt until our next visit and when we called back to ask why, we were told because we needed to wait till the owner came in the next week. They were very hard to understand as their English was very poor. We received a pedicure and a manicure but then told the price was higher, after it was complete. I was grocery shopping so decided to go in due to 20% off all services and new management. I was getting mani and during it I asked for a pedi too, was told 30$ for both with 20% off by technician. Even posted signs said $30 for both and NOTHING that if MAN $10 more. When I went to pay and it was now 40$. When I questioned it they said that since I was a man and men have bigger toes price was higher, WTF. First time ever hearing this comment. What a rip off to LIE to the customer and not back what was quoted. I tried to explain what I was quoted but neither of the men seemed to care and one actually turned around. I almost contacted the police after my visit here. My nails turned out fine, but then she informed me her card machine was "broken". She half-tried to swipe my card and refused to try entering the chip, even though I told her that's how it would work. I offered her a different card and she wouldn't even try it. She said she was only accepting cash that day. I informed her I didn't have any, and she directed me to a cash machine next door. What came next genuinely scared me- she tried to get me to leave a family heirloom ring with her as collateral for a $40 service. When I refused, she grabbed my phone out of my hand and put it behind the counter. She said she was going to keep it because she didn't trust me (even though I tried to pay multiple times) and wouldn't give it back. So I had to take off on a quest for cash so that I could buy my own phone back so that she could keep the transaction off the books and tax-free. I had a shellac manicure there today. Looked like a 5 year old painted my nails. They did repaint my nails, after they had to take off my shellac polish again!! I had a pedi done here last week and the nail tech did not paint my big toenail all the way to the cuticle of my big toe, did not trim cuticles and charged $5 more than the previous owner. My friend had a mani pedi and the mani was done while she was still seated in the pedi chair without trimming finger cuticles and nail polish application was sloppy.
