Seattle Fish Company rocks! We've been here a few times and have always enjoyed our experience. They have a fish market where you can buy fresh seafood, but there is also a restaurant. The restaurant is open for indoor dining at 50% capacity right now. They have plenty of indoor tables and a few outside on the sidewalk. You order your food at the front counter and then take a number to your table. The person helping us was very nice and helpful. I had looked at the menu online beforehand, and was planning to order 2 fish tacos for $9, but I was delighted to see a special on their chalkboard for 3 fish tacos for $12! I also ordered a side mixed green salad. The tacos were delicious. The portions are pretty big (so I had leftovers) and I'm glad that the fish is grilled instead of fried. The salad was also pretty good! It came with sliced cucumbers, tomatoes, croutons, and a balsamic vinaigrette dressing on the side. There are tons of options here like fish and chips, clams, crab, fish sandwiches, fish cakes, and soup/chowder. You should definitely check this place out! read more

I ordered beer battered cod. Overcooked. Dry. Chewy. Told waitperson and manager(?) and their response was, well he's a new cook 1st day. He said, "Write a review on Yelp" How's that for customer service? Waitperson takes a 15% (prepaid) tip, I guess it's just to ring up your, because you never see him again. I ordered $150 of fish to be delivered as a gift at the beginning of the month. Based on a dialog with the manager the order was to ship the following Monday to make sure it arrived in a timely manner. Two weeks later the fish hadn't shipped, the order was marked complete, and the manager wouldnt return calls or email. I finally put a poor review up on social media- and heard from the manager immediately. The fish shipped the next day and was received as originally ordered-but with harried excuses about, quote, 'a lot of notes' (I had only dialoged with them once-at order). It shouldn't be this challenging to get an order placed as agreed-and not calling customers back until they've had to resort to social media (and then deflecting/insinuating that error was somehow the customers fault) is no way to run a business. I wouldnt recommend them. read more

Very disappointing! Fish was pretty fresh, but just wasn't as juicy, tasty, and crispy as other place sun Seattle. Nothing special, I would go somewhere else if you're craving fish and chips. The food also took a while to arrive. There's also a seafood market inside opposite of the order counter. read more

They had good reviews so I stopped by since I was looking for something quuick, but I'm not really a fast food person. I got the Captains Platter w/ salmon, clam strips, and calamari. Fries comes with it as well. The salmon was very much not flavorful at all. It just tasted like they dipped it in batter and fried it. I usually make my own fried salmon, and I wish I did, or at least got more of something else, or something totally different all together. I did not like it at all and I'd probably give it 1/10. The calmari was good, I wish I had more of it. I'd give it a 8.5/10. The clam strips were really good! I loved them, and also wish I would've gotten more. I'd give that 8.7/10 The fries were pretty salty to me, so I couldn't really eat them. I wish they would've used some of that salt on the salmon. Ketchup made them better, but I generally like fries without ketchup. This was 3/10 for me. The platter also came with cocktail sauce, tarter sauce, and ketchup. I really liked the cocktail sauce it had bit of heat to it, but I loved the kick, that was a 8.9/10 The tarter was just regular, not very flavorful, so I'd give that 5. & ketchup is ketchup... no need rate that. read more

I'm always looking for the best fish and chips and had never been to this spot so I ordered the Captain's platter - cod, halibut and popcorn shrimp with chips and a bowl of smoked Salmon chowder. Went in with the mindset of sampling as much as possible, and left feeling cheated. Halibut was dry. cod was a good size portion but lacked flavor. Shrimp was decent. Chips were meh... I prefer steak fries or crinkle but that's just me. Chowder was the best part of the whole meal. Lotsa goodness in that bowl. I just expected more for $30. read more

We were greeted with a big smile and welcome and felt right at home. We ordered fish tacos, captain's platter, and fish and chips. Everything was so good and fresh and the coatings crispy. Our first visit here, but it won't be our last. This is my new go-to choice for seafood, whether fresh to go or dine in and let SFC do the cooking. Oh and I bought a "sampler" of cakes: crabcakes, halibut cakes, and salmon cakes. Um, um, good! read more

I'd walked by FAR too many times. This time, I decided to change that. Unlike many restaurants, you're not immediate accosted by a host or wait list. Walk in and head towards the back, to find the main menu in the left wall, over the register. There are lots of items to choose from, and apparent from the fresh fish display cases, it's ALL fresh and delicious. Being indecisive at the time, I went with the "Deep Sea Platter" Pick your three, I choose cod, halibut, and clams, oh my! Of course, it comes with fries. Clams were great. Cod was spectacular. Halibut was good, but now I know it's not my fish of choice. All were fresh, battered, and fried HOT. Fish guy IPA to wash it down, didn't fail to satisfy. Friendly staff, plenty of space, and a relaxing atmosphere. Worth a try! read more

The service here is some of the nicest in seattle! As you order when you first walk in, you're greeted warmly and they walk you through any questions you may have. Because of the awesome service, I always try to make it a point to stop in when I'm in the area and the tacos never fail me. I didn't really love the mussels but the tacos are filling and delicious and they have yet to let me down. Pop in if you're in the mood for nice folks and some seafood for lunch or dinner! read more

I really can't say enough good things about this place! We were set on having fish and chips that day for the ultimate test of who does it best in Seattle. I consider myself a seafood aficionado, having grown up on the Adriatic coast eating some of the best seafood in the world, and I can honestly say these guys know what they're doing. Although I've never been wild about fried seafood, especially in the states, they have perfected the batter and consistency to leave you with more fish than "fry" in your mouth. We absolutely love the staff here as well. Several times during our meal, we struck up conversation and had some laughs. It made us feel relaxed, especially because overly fake-nice servers tend to put us off! They even did a special order for us of 3 more fish pieces without extras because we couldn't get enough! A surprise bonus was that we were able to purchase a bottle of their wine for only $14 to enjoy with our food! Typically, restaurants will price gouge you for gas station wine, but not here! We even took the empty bottle home with us as a souvenir filled with some sand off Alki Beach inside. You can't even get that kind of romance at a fancy white napkin joint! Don't be fooled by the super casual atmosphere. The food here is top-notch, and at the risk of sounding like a groupie, I can't wait to come back and dive into some non-fried options. I've been craving shellfish and came in to order a side of fried oysters and clams. John (?) takes my order and quickly charges my card and tells me it was $20.92. Despite clearly stating I did not want fries and only wanted clams and oysters, he charged me for a fisherman's platter. I tried to clarify my order when he abruptly leaves to to say he has to tell the chef how to cook my order... It wasn't worth the effort after a long day of work and just waited for my order. The "platter" ended up being 4 oysters, fries, and a tiny handful of burnt clam strips which were mainly just batter. While the oysters were great, I felt taken advantage of knowing that I specifically said I did not want fries. I went back to politely let him know, and is only response was to "come back next time." The guy gives off used car salesman vibes, and his response was super off-putting. Way better off supporting the brothers at Sunfish. read more

This is a gem fish store and eatery. When you've got a craving for fish & chips, make a trip over to West Seattle to support this small business! I was visiting Seattle and wanted a quick meal, so I found this place through Yelp. This place had some of the best cod fish and chips I've ever had. During my trip, I tried other fish and chip shops and they all felt overly greasy, dry, and bland. Seattle Fish Company's fish and chips (get the cod) are light and delicate, and don't taste overly greasy despite being fried. The fries also come seasoned in lemon pepper. I recommend their salmon chowder as well! Everything is so hearty and comforting. They also sell fresh seafood for you to cook at home if that's your preference. I'm definitely coming back the next time I go to Seattle. read more

So sad to write this review we have been coming to the Seattle fish company for many years. Today the owner complained about me to his staff that I actually 'f@$ked them' because I didn't buy the larger piece of Salmon. What business owner says that!!! His staff cut the salmon when I asked for under a pound. It is clear he had no time for me and other guests he was incredibly rude to. Unfortunately I will never go back and will encourage all the other West Seattle family and friends to support another community shop/restaurant. But based on Jon's attitude today he doesn't care about me or other customers. read more

Holy eat my shirts!! Go to this place. I mean, don't, because I don't want it to get that crowded. But, oh my goodness! We had the fish & chips- so fresh; the clam chowder- so much depth of flavor; the fish tacos- get them, so much fish, so much flavor; and the smoked salmon chowder- meh. Went to the West Seattle Street Fair and stumbled upon an amazing find! First off, the owner and his staff were amazing. We had the oyster shooters, shrimp cocktail and 3 piece fish and chips. I lower my expectations when there are so many people at a street fair but the restaurant was on top of their game and serviced up some amazing food with a smile- everyone went out of their way to make sure our experience was a great one. 7/26/19. First visit. I recall it being great. 7/21/21 Second visit. Today I'm a customer only purchasing salmon. Picked the King. $29.99/lb. ($$$$, this was enough above my comfort zone, I'm a tad wary. However, smells and feels great. Raw. Solid indicators of excellent finished product. This afternoons visit was part of a short list of todo's. 1. Home Depot for LED bathroom fixture. 2. Pagliacci's slice for lunch. ***** (5stars) 3. 2lbs. Best quality salmon I can justify purchasing. 4. Return to HD to purchase correct size pin nails after reinstalling her professionally incorrectly previously installed frighteningly probably very expensive dishwasher. 5. Play with my sisters two awesomely cute little kittens. 6. Cook. Brown sugar soy/fish sauce chili pepper and Yakima black cherry reduction. Cooked and devoured. Conclusion: Seattle Fish Co. makes delicious meals. But today's lesson was about home cooking and sourcing superior quality salmon. Regrets: forgot to take photo. While I was preparing the fish, both kitties attacked. Drew blood, twice, as I shoo'd the little black one away, the striped one flanked, and got perilously close. Close to becoming an orphan or some unnamed protein in an Asian influenced dish tomorrow night. Thus I forgot, ne' chose to protect the fish, pictures can wait. You just can't beat this place's happy hour. The freshness for the price is unmatched. I have been multiple times. Their salmon chowder is great. Chunky with generous portions of smoked salmon like Harry's Beach House. Great cod fish and chips, skip the halibut. The cod was better. Yummy smothered poutine fries and oyster shooters. Also have gluten free fish tacos! Have returned and will return as long as I live here. read more

Fantastic shrimp tacos. Fish tacos were also ordered and were well received. Poke was spot on. Service was great. Food was pretty slow for an empty restaurant and wouldn't have been noticed if we weren't hungry when we came in, but we had a good conversation rolling so it was ok. Use of space was good. Menu was on the wall and was a bit confusing for a first timer. Overall the experience was worth the 5 rating. read more

OMG! Unfortunately I'm visiting Seattle this time for work, and after a long, jet lagged day I found this gem! I was cold, tired and hadn't eaten...who would have know it would pay off to skip breakfast and lunch! I got a cup of salmon chowder - I should have gotten a bowl! It was perfect, warm, filled with flavor and tons of salmon with just the right touch of seasoning. I ordered a half steamed dungeness, and while I've had it before, they have just a hint of old bay type seasoning that topped it being steamed perfectly. As a bonus out came with salad and bread that was big! I ordered a halibut sandwich to go cause it looked so good. Much better priced than anything in the tourist trap areas. Make a detour to get some great seafood, you can even get fresh seafood to go, or even packed to fly! read more

This restaurant/seafood market was the most pleasant surprise. There were 3 of us and we all loved our meals. I had a cup of the absolute best clam chowder I've ever eaten. Really! It was loaded with clams, had a good amount of potato but not too much, and the seasoning was so very flavorful. And the liquid part was just right... not too thick, which always turns me off. The other 2 at the table agreed! I also had oysters and chips which were very good. Nice, moist oysters with a nice crunchy and very flavorable breading. Chips were good, too. My husband is a cioppino lover and declared his cup of it excellent. Full of the good stuff and again, excellent flavor. He also ordered fush tacos, which came with 2 of them, very generously sized ( he took one home) and had both mahi mai and cod in them. I got a taste and very yum. Our son ordered the halibut sandwich and it came with a large side- salad. He said he would order it again. We all loved that the food was all well- seasoned; anything but bland and all servings were generous. Legit fish and chips. Hh pricing on 2 piece cod and chips. Halibut and chips not available for hh, but the halibut was really good and fresh. Draft beer available for hh, price wasn't posted, but I think it was $4. Hh is 2-5 Good tartar sauce. Casual dining environment. I would go again during happy hour if I'm the area. The fries were also good, but the serving size of fries wasn't huge. read more

When you enter the restaurant, the kiosk is front and center, and you place your order on the touch screens. There are typically 4 types of pasta to choose from, and about 4 sauces. There are salads and sides that you can add to the pasta. I love burrata, and so that was my add-on. The kitchen is always in full swing, with lots of activity, and is open to the public for viewing as they prepare meals. When your meal/order is ready, your name appears on the screen, and one of the employees calls your name. Seating is available after you place your order, and water is self-service as well. I love the cost-reducing atmosphere of the place. The place is well lit, and the staff is pleasant and helpful. I had pesto sauce with spaghetti and a salad. The pasta was supposed to be al dente, but came to the table cold, with a bit of a crunch and a sticky-to-the-tooth texture. This really did take away from the meal. The burrata was okay, but it seemed to be better prepared when they first opened. Again, this is a place I have come to look forward to, and I enjoyed the previous menu. Also, the website menu does not match the in-store menu at all. Because I love the neighborhood vibe of the place and the no-nonsense model they use, I have to go back to see if they can recapture what got my attention when they first opened. My only advice is to prepare the pasta as advertised.

Wherever we travel, we love checking out the local farmers market! We ran into this farmers market meeting a friend for a hike. We were too early since they don't open until 10am. Afterwards, we came back to check it out. Love the sense of community. It got really busy with some vendors having long lines. Fresh vegetables, fruit, amazing cider, meat, cheese, fresh oysters, fresh mushrooms, bread and baked goods. And, of course, gorgeous fresh flowers!! The food options are great with grilled salmon and breakfast sandwiches. We left with fresh apricots, cherries and a bottle of Apple Cider. Parking on side streets can get full near the farmers market. It gets quite busy. There are no bathrooms. It is also dog friendly.

I recommend Lady Jaye for lunch, Bakery Nouveau for baked goods, and Panterelli for beverages and dessert! It got quite busy at times at several stands, but it went quickly and everyone was chill about it. It was not chaotic or stressful at all, no claustrophobic vibes here. It was also fun to people watch to see what other patrons were buying. Many people were out with the entire family and pets and enjoying the great weather. I can't wait for summer to roll around and for more stuff to come to market!

We didn't get our main until 2.5 hours of seating. Secondly, the food used to be crave-able and now I'd say it is fine. The Waygu was overcooked and charred, the starters were fine but lacked balance or inspiration, and many of the dishes were overly salty (and I love salt). After paying for the check, I provided feedback to the GM, hoping that they could recover the night and I could feel good about returning to Raccolto. However, the GM just made excuses, including trying to say it was due to my food allergy, and didn't do anything to acknowledge or recover the situation. Needless to say, the service and food is no longer worth the high price point and I won't be returning.

This is a nice co-op grocery in West Seattle near Alki (I don't know the area that well). There is outside parking and a parking garage. It was crowded, yet I get a parking spot quickly. Nice layout. I just walked along the route and found everything I needed without backtracking. In addition to food, they have a large store with organic type soaps and socks and whatnot. Also a large pharmaceutical selection (non-prescription). Staff was very friendly - noticeably so. PCC is a bit out of my budget for regular shopping yet I enjoy patronizing them on occasion due to their business practices and their interesting and appetizing selections.

So disappointing to ruin crab legs like that. - Great selection of desserts but please have someone to police the chocolate fountain so kids (and some adults) don't stick their fingers in the chocolate. So gross! - At $99/each you'd expect better quality overall. Just not worth it anymore.

Her kindness, attentiveness, and genuine hospitality made an otherwise difficult day a little easier. Great service can make a real difference, and she absolutely delivered. Salty's isn't the cheapest dining option at SEA, but between the quality of the food, the relaxed atmosphere, and the outstanding service, I think it's well worth it. We also enjoyed the garlic everything fries, which were delicious! We just had to try a flight to sample the brews. There are some really good beers available here, especially the Belgian blonde, citra pale ale, and the stout. I did not really care for the seasonal sour (grapefruit, I think)--to me, it just tasted like a sour and nothing more, but someone with more interest in sour beers would probably enjoy it just fine. Despite the busy night, our server checked on us regularly and was very personable, stopping to chat with us about the local sports scene. There's plenty to look at, inside and out. If you can snag a seat outside, you'll get to enjoy the waterfront. Inside, the decor is industrial but fun. Not sure if this runs all the time, but when we were there, the tvs were playing vintage beer ads, which was quite fun. They also sell some pretty good t-shirt designs. Overall, Old Stove Brewing is the perfect combo of good location, good food, and good beer. Definitely recommend a visit when in the Pike Place area!
