Kyle M. did a fantastic job diagnosing my leak in short order. There was a drain line leaking under kitchen sink that was pooling up on the floor about a foot from the cabinet. He arrived 10 minutes early and then waited in his truck patiently until I let him know he could come in early. THERE WAS NO CHARGE from this company for this diagnosis and correction of the issue (reinstalled the drain P-trap correctly). How awesome is that? Brandon just fixed the leak in my tub. I called the company for the first time a couple days ago and I got put on the schedule for first thing in the morning. He explained to me what needed to be done, gave a reasonable price, and did the work in just minutes. He was kind, professional, and even wore booties to cover his shoes because I had just told him I mopped the floor the other day. Trevor Edwards showed up at my door like a knight in shining armor. We had a number of open plumbing repair items throughout the house left over from the pandemic. Plus, one of my faucets was completely inoperable in the kitchen, which precluded me from using the disposal. They installed a Soft Water conditioner back in 2019 They had a fair price, needed a repair, one of the valves gave out and it was consistently leaking water thru to the drain. I agreed to the estimate I got thinking it was something more serious. No it was I thought they replaced a 20 dollar part and charged 395.00 for a hours work and that is with the drive time to the shop to pick up the part. maybe 350 plus per hour is whats normal now for a plumber but seems on the steep side. I called yesterday to have someone come out to fix our toilet. They were able to get out the next day. They texted me and personally called me to let me know they were on their way within the time they told me. We had already used another company and they didn't correct the problem. Kyle came to scope the toilet drain and found a piece of plastic stuck in the drain. It was apparently there since our house was build 12 years ago. Kyle tried for awhile to get the plastic out and finally did. Without his determination it would have cost us thousand of dollars to dig out the toilet drain and get this piece out. It was definitely an odd situation but Kyle worked really hard to fix the problem. Very impressed with this company from the person that booked the appointment and two techs that came to the house Aaron and Kyle. I already asked them for an estimate on a new tankless water heater. Purchased a tankless hot water heater last year and Second Opinion plumbing installed it within days. Very happy with the unit. We had an error on the unit popup a few times and Second Opinion Plumbing was quick to respond and resolve the issues. All we knew was that a couple of the floor tiles would get hot, signalling a likely leak down below. I had two companies come in that were sent by the home warranty company. Both were saying different things, though both seemed to think the solution involved tearing up my floors and costing me a fortune. And with a $2k max on the home warranty. I cannot speak highly enough about Second Opinion. I contacted them for an estimate to replace 28-year-old polybutylene piping in a two-story home with more resilient PEX and add a new water softener. Their estimate ended up being more reasonable than two competitors. Kyle also identified and explained other issues that had been jerry-rigged by the former owners and needed correction. Once the work was scheduled, Tawny in the Second Opinion office was always quick to communicate or answer any questions. The courteous four-person team who performed the work didn't stop for two days. They use their time and yours efficiently. In the course of performing the work, Kyle also found a serious venting issue with the HVAC air handler in the attic that presented a carbon monoxide risk. He fixed it that day at no additional cost.
